Great experience. Spoke to them first thing in the morning and wanted same day delivery. It's a $10 charge for same day, otherwise delivery is free. The flowers were delivered early afternoon and were beautiful. I've only seen pictures, but they pictures were great. My girl said that the arrangement is awesome and very fresh. People at the office are jealous. This will definitely be my go to place moving forward. They're not your typical, cookie cutter flower shop full of FTD arrangements. I love the charitable aspect of their business, and free delivery is a big bonus. I found them through the great reviews on Yelp. Figured I'd review them here instead since there are only a handful of reviews.

I ordered two of the same arrangements to give as gifts and they couldn’t look more different. Both have wilted flowers which I’ve had issues with in the past with Flowers for Dreams but one hardly has any flowers at all. I don’t even feel comfortable giving it as a gift because it’s wilted and mostly greenery.

Highly recommend Flowers For Dreams! I've sent flowers to friends/family/clients and each time the transaction is seamless and the recipient is thrilled. Their flowers are beautifully arranged and their presentation takes it to another level: birch, tin, burlap, etc. I love to shop local and their business model of a charity donation from each purchase is icing on the cake! I absolutely love Flowers for Dreams! I love the entire business idea and concept that by purchasing from a small local business like them, you get beautiful, fresh local flowers delivered to your loved ones for an affordable price. And you can get the delivered the next day after ordering. I hated buying flowers from huge commercial websites and having no idea what the flowers would actually look like, where they came from and why I was being charged so much. I'm never going to use anyone else than Flowers for Dreams as I've been so happy (and so have the people who have received the flowers) with each purchase I've made. Plus knowing that part of the money I'm paying is going to a local charity makes me so happy and really warms my heart. I also love that they team up with other local Chicago businesses and that my flowers are being delivered by hand with care! Also, the customer service is great -- Kelsey recently helped me change an address for delivery quickly and kindly.

I ordered the Sky bouquet for my girlfriend as a "get well soon" gift. I placed the order on Sunday and it was delivered promptly on Monday afternoon. I missed the phone call, but Flowers for Dreams sent me a confirmation email within minutes telling me that the bouquet had been delivered. My girlfriend and I both loved the arrangement: a nice blend of fresh, beautiful flowers and greenery all wrapped up in elegant burlap. And all for a fair price, with free and fast delivery, and a charitable donation included in the price. I will be coming back to Flowers for Dreams the next time I need flowers.

Absolutely love receiving flowers, so naturally a fan of sending them. I moved from Chicago to San Francisco a little over a year ago and started seeing beautiful bouquets being delivered in burlap sacks around the Bay Area and wished that there was something similar in Chicago to send to my friends and family that lived there. I typically relied on 1-800 Flowers and other companies that delivered in huge bulky boxes via mail (nothing wrong with that, but didn't know something better existed yet in the Midwest). I stumbled across Flowers For Dreams and had a friend tell me about them too. The arrangements are beautiful, affordable, and hand-delivered in a burlap sack by someone on bike (not sure how the logistics of that work in the freezing winter ;) but how wonderful!). Kelsey from the team even reached out the next day to see if my flowers were delivered okay because I sent my friend flowers and they were left at her front lobby because she wasn't home. You normally get an automatic email saying when your flowers are delivered, but this kind note following up just goes to show how much they care. Best of all, a portion of the cost goes to a local charity -- I'm in love!

Flowers for Dreams is hands down the absolute best, stop scrolling through reviews and get with them today. My opinion on flowers was simple; not spending a fortune because they get thrown away at the end of the night, but still want something elegant. Well, This covered all the bases and then some. My flowers were STUNNING, absolutely perfect, great rates, but most importantly is that rather than disposing of the flowers at the end of the night like most places, they take the pieces to local Chicago hospitals, funeral homes, etc. That speaks volumes about the values that they have in place and makes it worth every penny. Also worth mentioning is that a portion of the proceeds go to local Chicago charities. The process itself was painless, Natalie is a true professional. She knew what I wanted before I did! Not only did she make the process easy, but she made it enjoyable and fun- who doesn’t want to feel that when they’re planning their wedding?! I recommend them to friends, family, future brides, anyone and everyone that has a flower demand because they’re so fantastic. I can’t praise them enough. Thank you FFD for making my day so perfect!

Love buying things from a company that has a cause. They create gorgeous bouquets of flowers throughout the year but sadly they don't last more then 3 days, 4 if you're lucky. Family member used them for their wedding earlier this year and when they were delivered, they didn't have any water in the vases nor did the delivery person add water or tell them to add water upon arrival. They started to brown during photos that afternoon.

I cannot say enough! I Used them for my wedding. They underpromised and WAY over delivered! We had Amanda, and her attention to detail and small extras I wasn’t expecting made my wedding go from “I know this will be pretty” to “my mind is blown I gotta sit down for a second”. We used Flowers For Dreams for our wedding on 7/28/2018 and to be honest, they were the only company I checked out when looking for flowers. I workout at the gym (Bluprint Fitness) next door, so I passed by their storefront very often. Once it was time to decide on a florist, they were the only company I wanted to work with. If you ever have a chance to check out their website, please do, bc they will do a better job of describing what they do, but the fact that they donate some of their profits to charities, put them number 1 on our list. Once it was time to start talking flowers, they made it super easy. I have no idea what a normal budget is for flowers, but especially since we kept things pretty simple, I felt like they were very reasonable! Working with Anna was great! I really didn't want TOO much going on in terms of flowers bc Salvage One is so great in itself, I didn't want the guests to get dizzy with all the decorations. Anna got my style right away, we did a lot more candles, and simple SIMPLE centerpieces that Anna recommended. It looked beyond amazing, just better than I could have ever imagined. All my guests were in awe of how beautiful the flowers were. Also, my bouquet was beautiful! I forgot to walk down the aisle with it (shows you how much I was worried about the flowers), but remembered to get at least a few pictures with it (kind of sad I didn't remember take ALL my pictures with it!) - Anna had recommended repurposing it after the ceremony, and I loved that! I will continue to recommend Flowers for Dreams to anyone I know, whether its for weddings or just because.

The flower arrangement was delivered as ordered and was beautiful. I like supporting local businesses and not national chains and they donate a portion of their profits to charities that periodically change. The only downside is there is limited choice online of arrangements. I did not call to customize an order as mine was placed outside of business hours but I did not need to do so as one of the offered arrangements was perfect for our needs.

I received a " forgive me" bouquet from my husband. It was delivered and left at the concierge. They didn't even try to deliver it to the apartment... ok anyway it's not the point, since my husband was in New York and it was a "forgive me "bouquet he expected they will make it as good as if he would order in person. So when I saw that mess I got angrier to my husband. Most of the flowers were old and the whole bouquet not symmetrically or beautifully arranged . Not happy at all. When someone orders 3 days prior to Valentine's Day and then no one delivers a product that is unacceptable. No one called, messaged, or emailed to tell me that my girlfriend should not expect any flowers on this Valentine's Day. I even called and emailed the company with no reply. I also even had my girlfriend stay late just saying to expect something nice. She stayed an hour late until about 615 and nothing came. I could not be more disappointed in a company. Especially since I ordered early and paid over $80 for a large arrangement. Thanks for making Valentine's Day so special. I will never use your company again

Flowers for Dreams, however, made my girlfriend's day with beautiful flowers, timely delivery, and a handwritten note - all for an affordable price!! Simple, they took my order and then never delivered the flowers. It was a Chicago address within 10 miles of their location too. Then, when I tried to call customer service, no one answered for the first 3 hours (and literally 14 phone calls), and when they finally accepted my call they said its on route. Another 2 hours later (after 9:30 PM), and they still have not arrived. It's valentine's day so I understand that there was an increase in volume, but if you did not have the resources to process my order in a timely fashion (their guarantee is to get it there by 5pm) then please do not take my order. Terrible service, obviously I will never purchase again. I never even write these reviews, but I had to make an exception.

I ordered the extra large version of the spring bouquet and what was delivered were 4 sad tulips in completely different colours with tons of green leaves to make the bouquet appear larger. Highly dissappointing and not worth the money, better give it to charity directly.

I ordered a half bouquet of pink roses online that were to be picked up upon arrival at my daughters dance recital this past Sunday that I paid $15 for. When I got to the table to pick my flowers up, I gave them my name which they had on this list. The woman scratched my name off and then informed me that they didn't have any half bouquets that were all pink flowers. They only had a mixture of different colors (red, orange, white, pink) in their bouquets. This made me extremely upset. What is the point of allowing people to place orders online and pick the color of flowers that they want, and then showing up without them? I never received an email or phone call to let me know that they didn't have my color choice before hand. Had I known, I would have cancelled my order, and went elsewhere to be guaranteed the color that I wanted. I was extremely disappointed. I do not plan on using this company ever again.

The website was super easy to use, the bouquet was very reasonably priced, and I received several emails from her coworkers about how beautiful the flowers were and how good they made the office smell (it was the lilac bouquet). My husband is deployed overseas with the Navy and surprised me by sending a beautiful bouquet from Flowers for Dreams on my birthday last September. A couple weeks later I received flowers again - a huge surprise! Then I received an email from Flowers for Dreams about my weekly flower subscription; an email that was meant for my husband who decided to surprise me with flowers each week until he came home (Sept 2015-June 2016). When they were informed, amends were made by upgrading the next week’s bouquet. While that was appreciated, the element of surprise would have been better. Throughout the coming weeks and months, I came to look forward to my weekly flowers. I even posted them on social media, sharing the story of Flowers for Dreams and my "Tuesday Flowers” with friends, family and co-workers. Some weeks the flowers were better than others - some bouquets lasted 2+ weeks (LOVE!), while others arrived as mainly greenery and/or died in a day or two. As I’ve talked (complained) to more people about Flowers for Dreams this week, quality seems to be something many others have had issues with. Over the past 7+ months, we’ve had a few other customer service and delivery related issues. We always chalked it up to growing pains of the company and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I can’t do that any longer. My husband is coming home in June (yay!) so emailed to end the subscription after this month. As we were charged in full for May, and it wasn’t a complicated request, one wouldn’t think there would be confusion. But Flowers for Dreams went ahead and canceled the deliveries immediately – again, even though we had paid in full for the month of May. My husband reached out to the company voicing his frustration and asked that it be escalated beyond the person he had been communicating with. His email was responded to with an apology (too little, too late. AGAIN) and we were told the CEO was informed of our issues. It’s been a few days and we haven’t heard back, so I can only assume one of two things: (1) this type of complaint isn’t new to this company; or (2) the CEO just doesn’t care. As frivolous as a review on flowers may be, flowers are an emotional purchase/gift (in our case in particular). Both my husband and I LOVE the idea behind Flowers for Dreams – it’s the reason he selected the company. While giving back to charity is an amazing thing, it’s one you can only stand behind so long if the customer service and quality don’t deliver. In the future, I will continue to donate to various charities I believe in. But when I need flowers, they will NOT be ordered from Flowers for Dreams.

There was a delivery mistake with the order I placed for my mother to receive on Mother's day. I suggest being as detailed as possible if you're delivering to an office building or shared unit. After connecting with them after the holiday weekend they refunded my money in full and ensured the issue would never happen again. I appreciated their attempt to rectify the situation by refunding my money, because of this I will definitely try them out again.

Our florist, Amanda, was easy to work with, super responsive, and captured our vision PERFECTLY! We didn't have wedding colors, per se, but rather, an inspiration for overall look and feel. I proposed to my girlfriend on March 26, 2016 in Chicago, and Flowers for Dreams went above and beyond to accommodate two flower deliveries I had scheduled. One set of flowers had to be delivered to one location before a set time, and the other set of flowers had to be delivered to another location after a set time! I worked with three employees throughout the process who helped ensure my deliveries were made appropriately. If you're reading this review b/c you're debating if Flowers for Dreams is right for your event, you can stop reading after I tell you this tip. HIRE STACI! Stop reading, pick up the phone, and say you want STACI to design your event. Decision made, stop worrying, Staci will flawlessly produce whatever you want. If you're still reading, I'll tell you why, but it's kind of a long review so just take my above suggestion and save yourself the time. I wanted a very colorful, bold, and unique look for my wedding. I didn't know how to pull it off but after my first meeting with Staci, she got it and rolled with it. I knew I chose the right talent b/c boy did she roll with it. She built (yes built) the most amazing centerpieces. No pretty little bouquets in a nice vase here, she made three different height pieces using modern, geometric sculptures (see pictures). Her personal bouquets were beautiful and full of bright, bold colors. The colors she chose for the mens' boutonnieres looked great against their midnight blue tuxes and my groom's white jacket. Staci put the venue look together by coordinating with the lighting, catering, and linen company. I didn't have to do anything but make decisions. She did all the research and pricing. When I came in for the sample, she had put together three tables, one for each centerpiece. I got choked up, it was all so beautiful! The bold blue, gold, and pink linens, sequin table runner, white napkins with a playful pink trim, pink water goblets, candles, and of course, THE FLOWERS. Man, it was stunning. Staci's excitement and eagerness for my event was contagious. She made me feel really confident in every decision that I made and was so patient in answering all of my questions. If I wanted something different, she was on it. If I wanted the cost to come down, she did it. If I had a question about the lighting options, she got back to me within a day with an answer from the vendor. She even personally delivered the bouquets on my wedding day and came to the reception to see how it all turned out and to make sure I was happy. I seriously cannot say enough good things about Staci and her team. You cannot go wrong by hiring her! This woman has been gifted with a serious creative talent.

I love that they donate a percentage of the proceeds to charity, and the flowers are look great. However, the times I've ordered flowers to be delivered by them, the arrangement is not very full, and the specific type of vase is not what I ordered online. I would expect the actually arrangement to look somewhat similar to the arrangement online, and the vase to match what I selected.

I ordered flowers on 2/7 to be delivered to my SO at her place of work, which is in the Chicago loop, on Valentine’s Day 2/14. The flowers never showed up on Valentine’s Day. I called customer service, a gentleman I can’t recall his name, who apologized, gave me a full refund, and told me they would redeliver them the next day 2/15. I understand mistakes happen and what they did to make things right for me was appreciated, however, no flowers were delivered again on 2/15. This is unacceptable. Two days in a row someone’s day was not made when it should have been. Please don’t make the same mistake I did and take your business elsewhere.

The bouquet I ordered exceeded my expectations and their commitment to quality was self-evident. Not only were the flowers charmingly packaged and beautiful upon arrival, they looked equally as fresh over a week later. Amazing. If you are looking for an FTD arrangement in a mug with a mylar balloon, this is not your place. However, if you are looking for an opportunity to make someone feel truly special, this fine little flower shop will not disappoint!

Flowers for Dreams and Jason gave us the most beautiful wedding and we couldn't be happier. Jason was amazing, taking all our ideas to the next level and suggesting things we didn't even know we wanted! He had our color scheme and flower requests down pat. The most amazing thing was my bouquet, which was a cascade of white orchids and deep purple succulents. It was so beautiful, I couldn't have asked for a better arrangement! The venue was incredible as well. They hung a massive halo of flowers from the center of the ceiling and smaller matching halos over the tables, it was so creative and interesting. The guests were blown away by the room change and that they were able to hang everything in just an hour while everyone else was attending cocktail hour! Jason had worked with our venue before and he knew exactly what it would take to make our dreams come true. Flowers for Dreams really knocked it out of the park and made even our rainy wedding day full of flowers! My haphazard last minute photos on my phone don't even begin to do it justice!
