This is one of the best ice cream stops in Idaho! Any time that you are driving through Idaho City make sure to stop in. The ice cream espresso is fantastic.

This rating is for the overnight rooms upstairs, not the parlor itself! I did not partake in the ice cream or soda and cannot comment on those. I rented the suite for a single night as it was the only place left in town. It consisted of a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, and livingroom (with second bed) built into a slanted attic. The ceiling was much too low and I continually hit my head. There was only a single portable air conditioner for the entire place, which was extremely inadequate, especially for an attic. It was in the mid 80s the entire night and would have been more comfortable sleeping outside. It was nice to have a laundry machine, but there was no laundry soap provided or available for purchase. Overall, the exorbitant price was far more than this place was worth.

A great place to take kids or to just go to get some quality ice cream. There is some fun mini golf in back and I enjoyed playing that with my family. Their ice cream is probably the best in town and they also make excellent sandwiches. I will definitely be going back again.

My only grievance is that it is just a tad cramped but I think for some it adds ambience. Definitely a charming little shop with treats, souvenirs, espresso, and some food options. Overall a great small-town stop with a cozy rustic feel.

Great ice cream parlor with wonderful options of ice cream flavors that are creamy and very flavorful. Scoopes of ice cream aren't small and when they say two and a half scoops, they mean it, with a tasty treat at the bottom of every cone! No skimping here! The place smells wonderful as they make their own waffle cones, and it's mixed with the smell of espresso as they make many different coffee drinks as well as Italian sodas, the famous Idaho Scotch and Soda, as well as other drinks and novelty items. FREE WiFi, a gift shop, and their salted caramels are to die for! Wonderful customer service and plenty of seating. Right next door is an old time photo place you'll have to check out too!!

Staff wasn't too friendly, I asked for a bowl but she got me a cone. I didn't notice until she scooped one ice cream scoop in it. I told her I asked for a bowl, she silently threw back the ice cream in the container and grabbed a bowl, only looked at my sister as we checked out and grudgingly told us to have a nice day. I'm sure if the mix up didn't happen, it would've been a 5 star experience. Ice cream was good and the building was cute and rustic look to it.

We love the Sarsaparilla! It is a "must stop" any time we are in Idaho City. The ice cream is good, wonderful variety, great customer service. They hire local hs kids and train them well. Your are greeted with the smell of freshly made waffle cones when your walk in the door. All their regular size cones come in a waffle cone. The jr cone is a regular cake cone, but all of them have a jelly belly jelly Bean in the bottom. A "single" scoop can have two different flavors.

A great stop in Idaho City for ice cream. We love the huckleberry ice cream and the milkshakes. They have a nice porch to sit outside and enjoy your treat. The staff is super friendly.

Very tasty ice cream, nice gift shop. I too off 2 stars because they only have one size milkshake, which is far too big for a child or an adult who does want a large amount .They have a sign posted on their menu that statws they used to have a child size but had to stop as to many adults were taking advantage of it. To me this is ridiculous, what if the adult wants a smaller size? Why not offer multiple sizes and not label one a kids size, just label it a small. Problem solved. I didn't want my kids to be left out of getting ice cream so I hadpay $4.50 per shake that both of them only ate about 1/3 of. And of course they chose a flavor i didn't like so it got thrown away. Very easy to solve this problem. Please do.

I haven't even met them, but I needed someone to come through on a gift delivered to my daughter from their business ordered from Arizona site unseen.
