There was no credit card outage. There was no line. U might want to check with your credit card company that asking for address is a violation of privacy and you cannot do that. Went above and beyond to remedy a local competitor's failure to deliver on a wedding bouquet. The wedding bouquet the competitor used was full of green spray painted hydrangeas and the few orchids that were included wilted and browned well in advance of the planned ceremony as they were not provided any water supply in the bouquet. Beneva Flowers created a beautiful bouquet last minute on a Sunday (the day of the wedding), the orchids were vibrant and did not include cheaper spray painted hydrangeas as a filler, only white hydrangeas as necessary as a base. The designer Wayne listened to what the bride had wanted and was able to bring her example photo to life!

I've received beautiful flower arrangements from them over the years, but when I went as a customer I found their service to be lacking. What they offer is what you get, and if you request any deviation from what they have in their booklet on the counter (which was far less than what they showed in the online galleries), it's not a very comfortable experience. Nice arrangements, as long as you're happy with a cookie-cutter style and have zero vision of your own.

My boyfriend has not only ordered me flowers from there but has ordered his mother's day flowers from there and they all have been a joke. He ordered a purple arrangement from the website and didn't get one purple flower. He ordered me tulips for my birthday and they were all wilted and almost dead not to mention the delivery time was supposed to be at 5 when I arrived to work and they got there at 2pm. Absolutely ridiculous. He has now learned his lesson. NEVER AGAIN will we order from this place. We would have done a better job ourselves.

I am from Texas, and I chose Beneva because it was one of the suggested vendors from the Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota for my wedding. I could not be happier! Everything looked beautiful. Doris was very easy to work with. We communicated through their website, and she was very prompt in responding to changes that I made during the planning process. Since I do not live in Sarasota, I was able to show her my flower ideas by uploading pictures and descriptions on their planning page of their website. On my wedding day, I did not have to worry about anything regarding flowers and decor, because Beneva made it happen. Thank you for making my wedding day so beautiful! I would highly suggest this company to any brides-to-be.

If I could give this experience at Beneva Florist a lower star than 1 I would. My fiancé and I met with your "Wedding Consultant" on Wednesday the 28th at 4:15pm. The "Consultant" was late to the appointment and seemed completely unprepared for the event. She was frazzled and her phone kept going off during our appointment. The most frustrating and honestly disheartening part of this entire experience was when, without asking us about budget, starting listing off place we could go that were much cheaper than Beneva florist. I would actually go as far as saying there was some stereotypical actions taken by your consultant. My fiancé and I are younger (29-32) and I am Hispanic and I really hope that neither of those things played into your consultants "advice" but I am hard pressed to not believe that was the case. Again, without asking a single thing about how much we wanted to spend or if we had a budget range in mind, she went off completely and started suggesting much cheaper options than your business. She even went as far as suggesting that we went to the Dollar General for vases for our wedding. She did not seem interested in our business at all or in have your services at our wedding. It was a complete sham of a consultation that I unfortunately had my parents and sister attend as well. I will NEVER suggest your business to anyone looking for flowers for any event and will hopefully be speaking to the owner of your company very soon. I hope others read this and decided to take their business elsewhere as well.

Exactly the look I was going for! I wanted simple and elegant. I love that they didn't try to upsell me to something more extravagant. Jaclyn was great to work with and was very helpful with decorating the chuppah. She allowed me to adjust her designs to make them perfect. Everything was delivered with no issues and my bouquet stayed looking good for almost a week after my wedding. The girls flowers looked full and alive and the center pieces looked great. They clearly know exactly how to deliver for a wedding, great to have something to not worry about and leave to the experts!

This is in regards to your delivery driver (van #111) in Sarasota fl not as an actual customer but this needs to be addressed. I was driving north on Beneva Road nearing the intersection of Webber and Beneva your delivery van #111 was heading in the same direction and proceeded to cut me off almost hitting the front end of my car and continued to speed through traffic cutting off several other people. This is not the first time I have dealt with your delivery Vans speeding through traffic. This is ridiculous and needs to be addressed for the safety of other drivers before someone gets killed or seriously injured because of the negligence/carelessness of your drivers.

The quality of the flowers and plants is first rate, the designers and personnel at the shop and online are exceptional and the delivery is the best. I *received* a bouquet from Beneva that was breathtaking. It was a most unique mix of irises, roses, Alstroemeria, mums, bachelor buttons, lilies and a myriad of fillers not typically used in florist arrangements like New Zealand tea tree sprigs. Absolutely lovely. The bouquet lasted for a week and then I pulled out some of the longest lasting mums and lilies and put them in smaller vases that lasted another week.

She made suggestions to guarantee the success of the arbor arrangement and negotiated the necessary accommodation by the venue. Linda was very rude. Mothers day flowers cost me over $80 and the van left their building at 11:30am and was told it could be up to 2 hours. When I explained that they should have been there earlier considering it is mothers day, Linda said we'll do what we can, goodbye, and hung up on me. How rude! This is highly inconsiderate of my moms time as she wants to go out for mothers day and doesnt want to wait around for gifts to show up at uncertain times! My other gifts showed up promptly in the morning from other reputable businesses. Knowing its a holiday one that probably brings a significant amount of business, you should be starting MUCH earlier especially considering the amount of elderly in the area. Ill find somewhere else to get her flowers from next time.

Frustrating experience. Here's why. First, the phone rang and rang and rang before being put on hold for close to 10 minutes before an answer. I gave the person the item# I was looking for and she couldn't find it in the system. On hold again for 3-4 minutes. When she came back, she still couldn't find it, so asked me the name of the arrangement. On hold again... She came back and said, "I found it." But when she repeated the name of the arrangement, it wasn't the name I gave her. On hold again. Back on the line again, she said she had found it. "It's the one with the pink roses, right?" No - it was a multi-color spring flower mix in a short vase/bowl. Not even close. She did finally get the order right - or so I thought. As I suspected, the flowers that were delivered were not even close to what I ordered. They were pretty, but way off. White lilies in a tall vase -- and the price that shows for what I received is $20 less than what I paid.

I had a last minute change with my order. By last minute, I mean I had to change the day and time of the order during their busiest time. Valentines day!!!! David at the front desk when I called was amazing. He was understanding, polite, and went above and beyond to make sure my fiance received her flowers at the time I had to change it to. I used to rely on this company for all of my flower orders over the span of many years. They were so horrendous on a mother's day delivery, however, that I have to rate them with the lowest score possible and can easily state I will never use them again. Not only did they not delivery the flower arrangement I ordered (for which I paid an additional $20.00 delivery charge) because their delivery driver didn't know where he or she was going, my mother in law was expected to pick them up the following day from the shop. No mention of a credit for the failed delivery and the inconvenience of my husband having to go retrieve the package on behalf of my mother in law. Even worse, they gave him a basket of chocolate and cookies and told him that's what I ordered. I have the confirmation for what I ordered. It was flowers. He then had to go to their shop AGAIN to return the basket after I called demanding the flowers I ordered be sent, and the very rude male working there told him that they had run out of flowers and that I okayed the replacement. I NEVER okayed that. Saying that you are okay using like flowers should a certain flower not be available for the particular arrangement you ordered, does not mean you are okay with no flowers at all. Especially a basket of chocolate for a diabetic individual. They should have called me and let me cancel the order. But no, they charged me $100.00, did not provide the product promised, and then followed that up with the absolute worst customer service ever. I guess it's just a sign that they've gotten too big to provide the good customer service and quality products they used to.

Recently I was at my friend's wedding and the flowers were breathtaking. I heard they got them form Beneva. I thought wow, I want to visit them. So I went in on a Tuesday after that weekend and I saw Peonies as large as softballs for just $20. What a value shopping here. Just learned they import flowers as I was asking about the $10 bunch deals and how they can offer so much. Best of all they even deliver. I called on a Sunday morning and they delivered by noon. The flowers lasted 10 days. I just had to share as I am getting ready to order a plant for Father's Day and I noticed these reviewes. They really deserve it. Nice work.

I recently downloaded Beneva Flowers new mobile app, FloralApp, to order several holiday centerpieces. It could not been much easier to navigate the many arrangements and make my selections. The order process was easy and I was able to use my house account to make payment. I was told that there are plans to integrate this app with the customer’s house account which would enable you to select previous recipients. That would be very cool.

I tried using Beneva Flowers for my wedding but it didn't work out due to lack of communication by their staff. I was planning my wedding from out of state which was hard enough, so most of planning was done through emails to the store. I would barely ever get a response back, and when I did it was one word answers. I called it quits and went to Sue Ellen's Floral Boutique in Sarasota and I am so glad I did! She was friendly, and really nailed what I was looking for. Try going there if you're finding communication through Beneva lacking...

I always like to speak directly with a florist to see what blooms they have and if they can offer helpful suggestions. I called a few florists and they were less than helpful. I was so lucky to get Mandi who I later found out was the customer service manager. She was so nice and pleasant, and even texted me a picture of a rose she had just received and had suggested as a flower in my arrangement. It’s getting harder and harder to find good customer service in today’s world. I recommend Beneva to anyone who wants to be helped and treated like a valued customer! Happy Spring!

My fiance ordered flowers for valentine's day. They never came. When he called to ask what happened, the company was unapologetic and claimed that the business was closed by the time they got there. I can completely understand being super busy on Valentine's day and not being able to finish all their orders, but their poor customer service is incomprehensible. We will never being using their services again and if you want your flowers on time, I suggest you choose someone else.

Beneva Flowers recently delivered above exceptional service and they are amazing in my book! A family member had died unexpectedly and I had to go to Atlanta for the memorial. In the rush of everything I forgot to order flowers. The memorial was on a Saturday at 2 pm. I called Beneva Flowers at 9:45 am that morning. I figured it was a lost cause and I told the lady that when she answered the phone, but she was super nice and understanding and said she would see what she could do. She took my name and number and called me back in less than 10 minutes and told me they could get the flowers delivered by noon. AMAZING!!! She even helped me decide what plants & flowers to go with since I'm kinda lost with that thing. And the arrangement was absolutely stunning! Beneva Flowers has my absolute respect and flower business from now on and I will never call anyone else. Thank you so much for being so awesome!

The staff were all really nice. It can be hard to spot from the road, but the signage makes up for it. We ordered a silk flower bouquet yesterday for a cake, sent them a picture through email. Albeit it was pretty pixelated, but it was not like the picture at all. Even when we were there, we had a designer come out because we immediately saw problems with the flower arrangement. He offered to move a few things, but as we later found out, you can't do a whole lot with moving stuff afterwards because everything is glued in. Luckily, we still had some flowers from other stores because we originally had planned to just do it ourselves but wanted to get better flowers. We'll we got some decent flowers, but the flower arrangement was not really even close. Probably would've done a better job ourselves. Not worth $125...

It was so creative and as far as amounts of flowers and quality, better than we imagined. It seems they are almost too honest as they do little fluff and so honest. I had placed an order with Beneva a while back for a large bouquet for a close friend. My order was placed a week in advance and I was told the flowers would have more than enough time to arrive. The day before the delivery, I was called and told the flowers weren't going to make it and was given a list of "options" to choose from instead. Needless to say, the bouquet that arrived was nice , but nothing like what I had paid for. I was not offered a refund or anything of the sort. I didn't make too much of it though because of the great reviews. Recently however, I placed a second order for some flowers for my girlfriend's graduation. I was told that they had no problem fulfilling my order and that I would be able to pick it up in a few days. The day before graduation I get a similar phone call saying that they had run out of the flowers I wanted and they gave me a list of other options. I was thoroughly disappointed this time but went ahead and placed the order. When I went to pickup the flowers, I inquired about a refund and they did say that they would charge me the discounted rate because of the fact that I wasn't getting the flowers I had been promised. The bouquet was still nice and they did make an effort to get close to what I wanted, but I'm very disappointed that on two very seperate occasions that they could mess up my orders so terribly. I will not risk it in the future and will have to find a new florist. Fool me once - shame on you, fool me twice - shame on me.

What a shock to call Beneva Flowers and be greeted by someone who should work for a casket company. Talk about a lack of professionalism and good manners. When I asked for Art Confort's personal phone number it as though I said something obscene, so I requested to speak "to whomever is in charge", please" Since when is "whatever" become an acceptable response in Home Depot let alone what use to be an upper class floral shop. "Yeah , hi, whata want?" Was the salutation . I stated my name, said I was phoning from Rome, Italy as I received an sms saying Arthur was in the hospital and that i needed his new cellphone number as hospital the old was still going to Beneva Flowers What followed blew me away! I was not treated with respect though I had been totally respectful; I dont know other frfriendsf Art to call for the number; and I still dont think that he couldnt be bothered helping . The reality is IT IS NO LONGER THE BENEVA I KNEW AND LOVED Back when Art was at the helm EVERY RECEPTIONIST greeted you with respect and joy and proper Consersational English. When you spoke with Art, you were treated as though you were the most important client and he had your full attention and was there totally to assist You. Following a conversation with a Beneva rep who described their tulips as "beautiful", I placed an order for two dozen in a variety of colors to be delivered to my wife on Mothers Day. The day before Mothers Day I received a call and was told that there were no tulips available for my order. After expressing my disappointment, i suggested long stem roses instead. The rep responded that there were no roses available either, and if i wanted anything at all it had to be "designer's choice", which is to say whatever they had left. With no time for alternative arrangements I accepted. Predictably what was delivered was a squat and unattractive assembly of leftover flowers, some of which were already wilting. A thoroughly unprofessional and unacceptable performance from beginning to end. I'm writing this edit several days after posting the above review and following a conversation with David at Beneva who phoned me to apologize for the Mothers Day delivery. I was most impressed with his sincerity and his good faith effort to make the situation right. I have been a customer of Beneva for more than a decade and following my conversation with David I will happily continue to do so.

When my Father passed away we scheduled his interment at Sarasota National Cemetery and part of the planning was getting him some flowers. Since we were having a small, private, family-only service at the National Cemetery I wanted something both patriotic and beautiful. I live in Naples, FL so I went researching on the internet for a florist in Sarasota and found Beneva Flowers. They had the perfect patriotic arrangement (BW3320 Patriotic Memorial) that met the strict guidelines on flowers at the cemetery. I ordered the arrangement weeks in advance and stressed that it had to be at the administration building at the cemetery by a specific time the morning of my Dad's service. Beneva Flowers came through with flying colors. Not only was the arrangement spectacularly beautiful, it was delivered in plenty of time early in the morning a good 45 minutes before the deadline I had been given by the cemetery. Thank you so much for the gorgeous arrangement and your exceptional service. I will confidently recommend your shop to the veteran families I am acquainted with here in Naples FL, and the to the many Veteran support groups at which I volunteer down here.

I just bought flowers from here for the first time last week for a friends birthday. I searched locally for a florist and came across Beneva. I placed an order through their site and scheduled a pickup for about 3 hours later. When I arrived the order was ready to rock and some of the flowers had not even opened yet which helped the display to continue changing / looking fresh for longer than I had imagined. The service I received was second to none! My past two experiences have made me a loyal customer. I recently went in with my wife to get a funeral arrangement. We spoke to Nancy who didn't just come ask us what we wanted, but rather talked to us a bit and made us feel very comfortable. She then asked about what we were looking for so she could recommend the right arrangement. After she listened to what it was we were looking for, she told us she would put something together, and recommended a ribbon to add to the arrangement. When we arrived at the funeral and saw how beautiful the arrangement was it was more than I had ever expected. The ribbon that she had recommended was a beautiful addition that made the whole thing just come together. On another visit, I had come here after leaving a competitor who laughed at my request for a corsage I need the next day for my daughter. When I arrived at Beneva flowers, I expected to have to pick from some pre-made corsages as it was now 4pm on a Friday. I was ecstatic when they said I could order what ever I wanted and they would have it ready the next morning! When I showed them a picture of the dress, a small add-on was recommended in a matching wrist strap. When I picked it up the next morning my daughter absolutely loved it, it made her day! Overall, the service and the product I have received here have been outstanding and I would recommend them to anyone needing their services. If I got this good of service for a simple corsage or arrangement, I can only image how well they would handle an event! Thanks Beneva Flowers!

Longest lasting flowers-EVER! The creativity was unmatched. I called last week for something pretty to be delivered in Sarasota. I had NO IDEA what I wanted so I asked. The sales girl (forgot her name) was so professional took care of it all. Asked me what price range I wanted to be in and delivered the most beautiful flowers I have seen and best of all, a week later they are still alive and the roses are the size of water mellons. Horrible customer service! I had ordered flowers to be delivered to my wife last week. My credit card was then charged the full amount but they never delivered the flowers nor did they receive the order via the internet! I spent over 1 hour on the phone with customer service over 4 different phone calls to try to get my refund. One rep hung up on me after being put on hold for 15 minutes. Their manager, Alex, NEVER responds to my emails even after promising a refund will be issued. Please find another flower shop in town because your flowers may never get delivered!

I have recently moved to Sarasota and everyone told me to go to Beneva Flowers. I was so impressed as I bought a bouqet at the store and received so many compliments on them. They lasted over a week! Also, I told my family in NY to directly order from Beneva when sending flowers to me. Besides the great flowers and gifts, Beneva has value added plans. The floral points program and a 5% donation to charity is rarely seen at floral design shops. Beneva Flowers also supports community events at the Van Wezel.The $20 Tuesday bouquets ( can you believe that price? ) are European style . They are arranged with beautiful paper and are celophane wrapped with ribbon, which makes a beautiful presentation. I am a Beneva fan, who is also a member of the Sarasota Garden Club, so you know I am particular about flowers. Thanks Beneva Team!

I just wanted to say thank you so much Beneva Flowers! I had ordered flowers from an online company that were supposed to deliver my flowers on Friday. However, they called me Friday morning and were unable to deliver them. I called Beneva Flowers for a local company as I am out of state. I explained the situation to the nicest lady named Linda. She was extremely kind, considerate and understanding and said she would see if they could try to get the flowers delivered, but it might have to be the next day. Which was still okay, because the other company said they would not be delivered until that following Tuesday! Well, they were able to deliver them Friday after all for a dear friend who had lost a loved one. She sent us a picture of the flowers and they were absolutely gorgeous!!!! She was deeply touched at the flowers and said many times how beautiful they were. I really feel that Beneva went above and beyond in my situation and I can not thank you enough for doing that. When someone loses someone, you want them to know you cared. Although I ordered the other flowers with plenty of time, they still could not be delivered and it left me in a bind. Beneva was wonderful from my phone call to the final product of a most beautiful arrangement that meant so much to a grieving family during the holidays. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart! What you do brings a lot of beauty to others through your flowers and flowers say everything so much better than we can. WOW! I am beyond impressed and it takes a lot to impress , I’m really picky when it comes to flowers. I ordered special personalized flower pots for teachers day. I brought the flower pots in and showed them a photo of what I wanted them to make up. They did exactly what I wanted. I told them I wanted the flowers fresh and full. They didn’t deliver our Valentines Day order!! My little brother is in boot camp right now with the Marines. He asked me to make sure that his girlfriend got flowers for Valentine’s Day since he wouldn’t be here with her. I have used online florists before and every single time the arrangements were not delivered on time, so this time I decided to trust Beneva Flowers with my order as I’ve heard fantastic things about them and this was so important to my family. Not only did they not deliver the arrangement, but I called twice on Valentine’s Day to confirm the order and they assured me it would be made and it wasn’t. They did deliver the arrangement the next day but it by that point it was too late, my brother and his girlfriend were extremely let down. I was planning on using Beneva Flowers for my wedding later this year but I will never trust them with an important order again. I’m extremely disappointed and angry that I let my brother down by trusting this florist. Update: I just want to update this to say that they did offer me a partial refund for this incident. I’m still extremely disappointed in the service we received. A day late for Valentines Day kind of defeats the purpose of ordering an arrangement.

So often, when bad things happen, we are quick to tell the story and leave our comments - no matter what service it is, really - which is just too bad. It's important to leave reviews for each other when warning against this and that, but it's perhaps more important (and just as valuable) to leave a review when your experience reaches far beyond expectation. I called Beneva around lunch time and was lucky enough to get Joe Grim on the other end, who is an absolute gentleman and a gift. Today marks one year since a very dear loved one of mine has passed, making this call difficult enough. Not only did he explain in detail the available orchids, but he promised to send me a photo of the chosen piece so that I could also see beauty, in addition to accepting my request for a handwritten message to my recipient, instead of letting a computer just print it. I met the owner David Shuel at an Oriels game I was working as his company was passing out flowers to people coming into the stadium for opening day. He was very personable and we started talking about my wedding when he realized I didn't have anyone picked out for flowers yet. He gave me his card and told me to come into the shop with my ideas. I hadn't put much effort into finding a flower company yet with everything else I had going on for the wedding, but I always heard nothing but positive things about Beneva flowers and felt comfortable with the company, and with David. I went in with my ideas and the prices Beneva gave me weren't even comparable; they were EXTREMELY reasonable! We were given a quote and they told us to call or email them with any changes we needed to make. It turns out one of my bridesmaids dropped out of the wedding, I called right away thinking we would lose the money spent on her bouquet. They refunded us the money a week before the wedding. We made 2 or 3 changes throughout the whole process and each time without hesitation or grief, they would change the proposal and gave us a new one no questions asked. They were extremely accommodating to all of our needs. I dropped the vases off for the centerpieces a few days before the wedding a little nervous something would get lost as there were so many vases. Everything came right on time and looking absolutely gorgeous the day of the wedding. They worked with my cake designer and day of coordinator to make sure all the centerpieces and the flowers for the cake got to the right places without me having to worry about anything. EVERYTHING WAS BEAUTIFUL and looked better than I could have ever imagined. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Beneva flowers!!!!

I wasn’t planning on ever ordering from Beneva flowers again after last Mother’s Day. However, I forgot until yesterday to order flowers for my Aunt and Beneva was the only florist that could deliver today. Last Mother’s Day they substituted ugly fake flowers and a plastic Easter bunny figurine taped on a plastic silver tray for an arrangement I ordered. Not one real flower. I called and complained and they did nothing. However, when my Aunt called, they sent her a replacement bouquet. I think it may have been because my Uncle ordered her flowers weekly from them. I was so embarrassed that she thought I picked that mess out for her. This time the arrangement is real flowers, but not the quality or look of the actual arrangement I ordered. I’m highly disappointed and will never buy from them again. I would rather send nothing than pay for their overpriced, underwhelming duds. My Aunt found a new florist and I’ll go with them next time.

When I had my first consult, I toured their facility...it is the most professional, impressive, and beautiful place. They have an amazing bridal consultation room, which consists of blush colored walls, ivory padded chairs, a chandelier, and the best part - a big screen TV to view all your floral inspirations! They walked me through every piece and helped me plan arrangements, decor, details, etc. They even negotiated with me, and worked within my budget to make sure that I could include everything I wanted. Ladies and gentlemen... two years ago I sent my wife flowers from a "Flowers in a box shop". The online picture was beautiful and the price was unbeatable. I was able to send her two dozen flowers, shipped to her office for a steal of a price. I was super excited to hear her reaction when she got them. When they finally arrived, I got a "thanks." I'll repeat that, it wasn't a "THANKS!"... it was a "thanks". I thought to myself... what in the world? Eventually she explained and sent a picture of the arrangement. While it was "loosely" based on the website description, I could have done better by cutting a branch off of a thorn bush. I immediately demanded a refund from the box shop and it took almost zero effort to get it. Apparently it's somewhat commonplace for people to be unhappy. I immediately called Beneva, explained my dilemma and put the arrangement in their capable hands. All I can say is WOW. The put together an AMAZING arrangement that she absolutely adored at a reasonable price. I can't say "lesson learned" enough. You can get flowers anywhere but if you want FLORAL ART at a great price that will truly WOW the recipient, call Beneva Flowers!
