What a horrible experience. I ordered for mothers day through a third party website. When they delivered, the flowers were dead. DEAD. It’s mother’s day! What is that? I was reimbursed for the flowers but what a way to ruin a surprise. NEVER AGAIN will I do business with them. 150+ dollars on flowers that are probably worth half of that and are unable to arrange proper delivery.

I ordered from 1800 flowers. It happened to be from this place because it is a "local florist delivery bouquet". I know its from this place because the name was on the card. Not only my order turned out to be a totally different one from what I ordered but the quality of flowers were so poor. The flowers looks like they were dying. The buds looked like they were not even gonna make it to bloom. The vase looks dirty and old looking. I ordered a large bouquet for Mother's Day. The size of the bouquet my mom received was not even half size of the one I actually ordered. I feel so embarrassing in front of my mom when she took the bouquet home (I had it delivered to her work place). And I am sure she was embarrassed in front of her co-workers too because her kids gave her such bad quality and poor looking bouquet. Luckily I found out about the service and know about this place so that I can avoid it. I also made a complaint with 1800 flowers about this vendor. I wish I could put the pics here for your reference and comparison of what I actually ordered and what actually arrived. Maybe I will do so on yelp when I have time later. Im sum up, avoid this place if you can.

I recently got married and Avant-Gardens did all of my decor for the wedding. Rick did an absolute amazing job. I had a destination wedding and Rick was so helpful and made it so easy for me even though I was in Ohio. Rick took my vision and exceeded my expectations, the flower arrangements and all of the decor took my breath away. I would highly recommend Avante Gardens. Thank you so much!

AWESOME customer service! Recently, I had to send flowers to a funeral that was held within 24 hours of the woman's passing. I thought the funeral would have been the following day and placed an order on line. Avant Gardens called the funeral home, found out the funeral was within two hours of my order (not the following day as I thought), and called me to confirm if this was the correct funeral. When I said yes, they literally delivered the flowers within 30 minutes of the call. The flowers I sent were placed at the head of the casket, and my relatives called me in tears thanking me for getting gorgeous flowers there so quickly. I don't live in Miami, but if I did I would never buy flowers from anyone but Avant Gardens.

Was very very disappointed with my Halloween order placed through Teleflora with these people. The bouquet didn't look anything like what was ordered & was NOT an improvement. It was...messy and cheap looking. Their own designs might be lovely but don't expect them to look anything like a Teleflora order.

Rick and Elyse did an amazing job with the center pieces for my reception. They interpreted my theme exactly and everything turned out more amazing than I could have imagined. During my initial interview with them they were very detailed in explaining to me the type of flowers he anticipated to use. They were also very wiling to work with my budget and made helpful suggestions on how to stay within it without compromising quality. The flowers were of superior quality; they were so fresh they smelled wonderful! Most importantly Rick and Elyse were very professional; they answered all of our emails in a timely fashion and reviewed my order several times to ensure everything would be perfect for the wedding. They have a very positive attitude and were a pleasure to work with. If you go with them you will not be disappointed!!!

Wow... it is amazing to read anything bad about the most awesome, reputable, honest , professional and outstanding flower shop in Miami. I can't even begin to imagine anyone getting upset with AVANT GARDENS nor any of the employees and much less Rick the owner. I read the review ... which wasn't a review it sounded like a child having a tantrum cause he didn't get his way. It. The close minded customer that forgot life is short to cry over spilled milk! If you wanted a freebie you should handle things in a different matter...if the surprise of receiving flowers on VALENTINES DAY was ruined because there was an error on who knows fault... gee why not ask for flowers delivered another random day as a surprise. TRUST ME I have done alllll our parties, weddings, holidays, funerals EVERY SINGLE EVENT good or bad with Avant Gardens since November 24, 1990... my wedding 28 years and counting!!!!!! Yes reviews are great... but it is easy to understand that what they tried to explain to you was simple... the situation was blown out of proportion... life is short... I can guarantee with my life... there are few flower shops with a Rick... he is aside from honest one of the few AMAZING SOULS put on earth that can understand and care about each individual that walks in his store .. Avant Gardens is known in the industry of flowers as the Rolls Royce of flower shops... yes... you may pay a bit more... but you get what you pay for! ... there arrangements stand out from all the rest from quality of flower and design. The world doesn't come to an end if things don't always come out how we envision them... so relax and enjoy the ride...what is worse... 1. Your surprise was ruined on VALENTINE'S DAY.. or 2. You made a big stink about it and forgot that even the call you state was made was a surprise... and as a woman our next expectation is what they look like... the girls in the office... all was RUINED because of a hysterical out bust... instead of handling things in an adult, mature matter ... the flowers would have made her day! Knowing or not... you can always down play any oops... and for a reminder... VALENTINE'S DAY is a day when we toss a coin to when and if the flowers get delivered... so... DONT BOTHER WITH ANY BAD REVIEWS..... I am quite sure and know in fact (happened in my office this year) my coworker received her flowers on the 15th... the world did not come to an end... she was quite happy and surprised and a big smile when her Rose's arrived one day late and she knew ... but God loves even the grumpy unsatisfied people of the world... when you get over the tantrum... think about how those people with all sorts of diseases wish that their biggest problem is that their lack of surprise of receiving flowers on Valentines Day was ruined... YOU SHINE IN MY WORLD AVANT GARDENS !!!! And I know for a FACT in many people's worlds. Stay just the same.. you dont need customers that dont appreciate ..

I cannot say enough about Rick and his staff at Avant Gardens. We had hired a wedding planner to take care of my brothers wedding coming up in October and now at the 11th hour we realized that the planner we trusted had done nothing! We found ourselves in the kind of situation one only sees in a nightmare. A 400 guest wedding at the Loews and not a thing had been accomplished. I had no idea where to turn or what to do. I was told to go to Rick at Avant Gardens in Miami immediately. Long story short, Rick has miraculously fixed this entire mess. He has made this into a dream wedding. They are a blessing and hands down they are the best in town for almost all your wedding needs. I highly highly recommend them!

Rick and his team are definitely the BEST!!! The flowers and decor for my wedding were truly PHENOMENAL!! We LOVED LOVED LOVED everything about the room and can't thank them enough!! From the magical chuppah to the gorgeous tables with the most breathtaking flower arrangements to the stunning dance floor that was really amazing, Rick made our dream wedding come true! My mom, husband and I also had the best time working with Rick! He listened to what we were looking for and then made our vision come to life better than I could have ever imagined! Rick and his team also did an AMAZING job on our rehearsal dinner!! I would DEFINITALLY recommend using Avant Gardens for your next occasion! Can't wait to plan another party with them!

I ordered flowers from this establishment and will never again. I paid via third party website for an arrangement several days ago, when I paid extra specifically for same day delivery. One of my orders fortunately arrived the following day, however, the actual floral arrangement (first order was a gift basket) never showed up. The third party website attempted to contact them several times over, and on several occasions, they either stated to them that the delivery was on its way or never answered the phone altogether. I am so infuriated with this place, and my delivery has been sent to another florist who is more capable of a timely delivery. I would not recommend them whatsoever, because if this is how they treat a customer via a website, I would absolutely hate to work with them directly.

The only thing more despicable than the accosting demeanor of Rick Interian, the manager of this deplorable establishment, is the offhandish behavior of his staff. I had an appointment, which I called to confirm an hour in advance, and was greeted by absolutely no one while I waited for well over 15 minutes. I asked whether I should reschedule and, rather than being given a kind apology, I was rudely told by his receptionist to either wait "for three, four, maybe five" hours or come back another day. I was then denied a request to speak with Rick (who was standing 5 feet in front of me and in viewing distance). When Rick did at last appear, he blatantly said "you are making a stink in my store, either wait or get out." He then KICKED ME OUT OF HIS STORE. Never, in all my experience, have I ever witnessed--let alone experienced--such abhorrent and despicable customer service. If you are a bride or a wedding planner (or a human being who values being treated with some level of dignity) and you are looking for a respectful and considerate vendor, I would NOT recommend Rick or Avant Gardens. No flowers or linens are worth that level of degradation.

Yesterday we placed an order for flowers for our grandmothers funeral with Avant-Gardens as they are well known are supposed to be reputable. The order placed was for a GRACEFUL TRIBUTE HEART spray which was exactly what we wanted and envisioned throughout our search for flowers that could perfectly express our love for her but unfortunately was not what we received. Instead of what we ordered, we received a GRACEFUL WREATH as shown in the attached picture. We paid $174.95 yet what we received, besides not being in any way what we wanted, is valued at $154.95. Had we wanted the wreath, that is what we would've placed our order for but we did not order that so it's obviously not what we wanted. It's sad that at such a difficult time of mourning in our life, false advertising from this company is what we have to be dealing with. We called upon receipt of the flowers to complain but they conveniently made the delivery when they were closing and I sent an email asking how this matter will be corrected by them and they of course have not bothered responding to the matter. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE!

Avant-Gardens review My experience with avant gardens was extremely disappointing. The day before Valentines Day, was my day off and they called me so early in the morning, not once, but 3 times. Once I woke up and checked to see if there were any voicemails from this phone number whom I had several missed calls from.. Zero voicemails after all of those phone calls. Then I thought, maybe they sent an email if it’s so urgent, but when I checked my email, again, no notification from them. I received another phone call and when I answered the female stated she was calling from avant gardens and that they were trying to send me a delivery. I was confused and questioned her “ a delivery? “ but I did not order anything. She told me it was flowers but they have a mix up in the delivery address and needed for me to give them the correct delivery address. Then she began giving me the sender’s address (My Valentine) so that’s when I realized he was trying to surprise me with a delivery of Flowers! I felt SO bad, especially since he was next to me, what an akward moment. At this point, I felt I had no other choice but to tell him I knew about the flowers and they were on the phone. He told me which address he originally scheduled with them to deliver the flowers to me and the lady said “well that’s not what was in the delivery address on file “ She did not appologize for several calls made or the mix up. Completely unapologetic! At this point, I had to tell her that he was upset that they ruined the surprise and she just remained quiet. No response. I could not believe the terrible customer service this company was providing. They continued to give AWFUL service. He called again later (when I was not around) to try and speak to a Manager about what happened. The OWNER, RICK was extremely disrespectful and commented “Relax It’s Just Flowers, Not Cancer!” Completely Uncalled for and UNPROFESSIONAL! Please do yourself a favor and do not waste your time with avant gardens. I still had the best Valentines, after all of this, he still went out of his way and on a mission with only 1 day to find another flower company. ❤️

NEVER ORDER FROM EITHER AVANT GARDENS OR FROM YOU FLOWERS. You'll be disappointed!!! I ordered my mom's favorite flowers, a large, all white daisy bouquet for her 80th birthday, along with a large box of chocolates and 2 ballons through From You Flowers and Avant Gardens was the chosen florist to deliver the arrangement. AVANT GARDENS FAILED TO DELIVER THIS SIMPLE ARRANGEMENT TWICE!!! The first delivery, only 1 balloon was delivered, the chocolates were all melted together in the box, and the daisies were wilted and sad looking! When I called From You Flowers to get a NEW delivery of fresh daisies delivered ASAP, and to confirm that Avant Gardens had fresh flowers in stock, I was told that Avant Gardens had fresh daisies in stock and would redeliver the next day but couldn't guarantee by what time (no matter that it was their error they were correcting). The replacement bouquet AVANT GARDENS DELIVERED WAS EVEN WORSE!!!! They delivered a smaller bouquet, with several brown/dead daisies in the bouquet and they didn't arrive until 5:15 pm the next day!!! While From You Flowers did give me a full refund, they didn't seem to care about the HORRIBLE SERVICE BY AVANT GARDENS nor the fact that a special 80th birthday gift for my mom was ruined. AVANT GARDENS NEVER APOLOGIZED FOR THEIR AWFUL SERVICE AND SICKLY FLOWERS!!! NEVER ORDER FROM EITHER AVANT GARDENS OR FROM YOU FLOWERS. You'll be disappointed.

De vergüenza!! Contrate un ramo de 9 rosas a través de teleflora y encargado a esta floristería para mí pareja en el día de nuestro aniversario, y ellos envían uno de 3.. si si... solo 3 tristes rosas, por qué según ellos teleflora solo les pagó 37$ y da para un ramo así, le pregunto que si ellos no recibieron una orden de parte de teleflora donde se indique las cualidades del ramo, y me dicen que si, pero que ellos eso no lo miran, solo el dinero que reciben... y me recomiendan que la próxima vez (jamás habrá una próxima vez con ellos) no haga el pedido a través de teleflora, que lo realice con ellos para evitar confusiones, a lo que yo le respondo que la confusión es de ellos por no mirar la orden que recibieron, que si ellos creen que reciben poco dinero de teleflora que dejen de trabajar con ellos, pero que no estafen así a sus clientes!! Un ramo de flores ridículo enviaron para una ocasión tan especial!!! Solo 3 tristes rosas para un aniversario.... cuando yo contraté 9!!

The best selection of fresh flowers in Miami I've seen!! I was so impressed with all the Buddha stuff they had OMG! If you're into Buddha's this is DEFINITELY your store! Love this place, obviously process are very high but everything is straight from India. And the candles are amazing as well. Almost everything is based off wood carvings besides ornaments. If you love to see work done by artist from other countries I highly recommend it. Great craftsmanship

Rick is a genius. We went to see her venue all ready for someone else's quinces months ago and had to have the same flowers and furniture...it was spectacular. If anything came up I would email him and within minutes i would get a response saying. Done, next. Lord that felt great to finally deal with someone so competent. He was also generous with his time on things that wouldn't make him money...items from other vendors. The one thing I didn't get from him was the dance floor, opting for someone cheaper.I figured a dancefloor was just a dancefloor. Apparaently not. That someone delivered a skidded filthy dance floor. Spend the extra money for a professional with standards!

Rick and the Avant Gardens team created the most beautiful flowers for our outdoor beach wedding. From the arch of flowers we got married under to the stunning garden reception he was able to create, our wedding would not have been the same with out his attention to detail and eye for design. I was really excited to check this place out. It's a beautiful store but the salesperson was SO RUDE! Nobody else was in the store and she didn't acknowledge me in any way when I walked in even though she was sitting close to the door. I walked around the store for a while and not once did she say a word to me or get up to see if I needed help with anything, just sat there the entire time. I'm not overly particular when it comes to customer service, but it was stunningly bad here. Hopefully she was just having a bad day.

Avant Gardens is amazing!!!! By far the best florist we have ever used. They did all of our florals for our wedding in the Keys and it was absolutely breathtaking. Rick went on my Pinterest to visualize what kind of florals I liked, and then brought to life my floral DREAM!!! He completely transformed a clear tent into a magical arrangement of florals, from the long running leaf/floral centerpiece for our 34 person head table, to the gorgeous standing floral centerpieces on all of our round tables. The best part about it all was the stunning floral chandelier he created to hang from the middle of our tent. All I had to do was tell him my vision, and he brought it to life. We can't thank Avant Gardens enough for the most beautiful florals we have ever seen!

My wedding venue recommends using this as a vendor. I made an appointment and met with one of their Managers. They showed me many arrangements and refused to tell me what anything cost while discussing the arrangements. At the end they told me the cost. I had some amount of credit applied from the venue, and I must say to NOT use this vendor. They will nickle and dime you. This is a place that says "you want a votive? $5.00". You can buy and keep a new votive for less than that. Please do not use this vendor. There are so many better and less costly vendors out there.

Delivery Driver, the guys who use glasses ( no one employee inside the store allowed me to obtain his name to make a formal complaint) is very aggressive, rude and unprofessional , Saturday 11 I am trying to park my car to go inside the store and asked him if he can move his car to make me room to park and he come to me in a very wrong manner.Also some other drivers back up him with similar attitude. Owner or manager must be alert, your employees are so far of how to serve your costumers.

To get the most truthful review, read the bad ones. Read mine. Negative environment & negative customer service. My experience with avant gardens deserves a less than 1 star rating. Rick (Owner) is extremely disrespectful and has a lot of nerve commenting negatively about the disease called cancer... You're probably thinking one has nothing to do with the other and you're right. READ MY REVIEW. Do yourself a favor and save yourself from the negativity in your event or planning. I ordered flowers from avant gardens 2 weeks in advance from the date I needed them to be ready and when I ordered the flowers, I was told they would arrive on February 13th, during the day at ANY time. I arranged for the flowers to be picked up at my home address on February 13th and awaited for them to arrive. The flowers never made it to my home but several phone calls to the RECIPIENT of the flowers were! Avant gardens asked the recipient if she ordered flowers because the address provided “on file” was not a correct address. (Address was given and verified 2 weeks in advance). The recipient out of surprise and not knowing whether or not the flowers were ordered in error, asked ME if I had ordered flowers for her. At this point the surprise for Valentine’s Day (February 14th) was ruined and the address avant gardens had on file for my home delivery address was completely wrong and not even close to what was told to avant gardens over the phone 2 weeks ago. A phone call was made to avant gardens asking to speak to a manager about the situation but avant gardens refused to connect me to a manager. Monique (representative I made the original order with) went on explaining how she called MY cell phone first but was unsuccessful on getting any answer and had no other option but to call the recipient (Even if you call the recipient, WHO calls and asks "were flowers ordered, if so, what is a good address because this one we have is incorrect”)… ANYWAY. I explained how the surprise was ruined and this special moment was no longer. I insisted on speaking to a manager and after several attempts trying to convince Monique in allowing for me to speak to the manager, the manager then came to the phone. The manager with a tone of annoyance answered the phone and stated “how can I help you, what happened?” After I JUST explained the entire story to Monique (reason I wanted a manager in the FIRST PLACE). Monique explained to the manager the situation and moments later of going back and fourth with RICK, instead of him, as a business owner and company just accepting the fact a mistake was made ON YOUR END you would think at this point anyone who genuinely cared would reply something along the lines of “sir/ma’am we sincerely apologize for this error and are aware of the mistake we made in your order. Please allow for us to make this up to you, due to the MAJOR inconvenience”….. I received absolutely nothing. Nothing but attitude, trying to maintain my composure after paying the amount I paid to receive this treatment, MANAGER and OWNER RICK, with an attitude, continuously repeated how Monique made a mistake and kept on stating “what do you want me to do about it”. Rick told me the matter was not that “ serious” and compared the situation to someone with cancer. WORD FOR WORD RICK STATED TO ME OVER THE PHONE “Relax, its flowers not cancer”………………………………………. The recipient of the flowers was standing right next to me and immediately I cut him off and stated how dare you make a comment like that? One has nothing to do with the other and HOW WOULD YOU know if the person receiving these flowers doesn’t have cancer? I asked for my full refund and told rick he would be seeing my review on his website and it didn’t phase him. SEE PHOTO FOR SUMMARY OF MY EXPERIENCE.

I was super disappointed with this place. I ordered Mother's Day flowers from out of state. I never received an order confirmation or a copy of my receipt. When I realized my mom hadn't received the flowers, I called and inquired and they were terribly unhelpful. After having to call twice to find out what happened, I learned that they apparently did deliver the flowers to the hotel where my mom was staying but didn't do anything to ensure that they got to my mom. She received them 2 days later when she was about to leave. I'm sure the hotel messed it up too, but this place did NOTHING to help. Their service was terrible. They could have just said "I'm so sorry let me see what happened" but they NEVER said anything except "it's not our fault." Find another florist!
