I am not from CT, but wanted to send a very special friend flowers. I looked around to support local florists and placed an online order. More than a week later, a dozen calls to the company, and promises of delivery, my friend never received her flowers. I wish I would have had access to reviews prior to my purchase; I never knew delivering flowers could be so difficult.

I ordered flowers from another state for a funeral. I called to place my order from Rae's Dillon Chapin Florist and it was delivered within hours of my call. Darcie was super friendly and made suggestions based on my budget. We received a text from the family of the deceased within hours of placing the order and she said they were absolutely beautiful. I was provided an email reciept and an email confirmation of delivery! I felt like I was in good hands and looking at their website and seeing that they've been in business since 1947, I know why.

This was a random selection from California! It could not have been better! I hit a HOME RUN! Darcey (Owner with husband ) answered the phone 1/2 hour before opening. We immediately hit it off.I told her my daughter was in the theatre and what her costume might look like. She took it from there and delivered TRUE imagination, creativity,and origination in the arrangemnet. THIS WAS TRUE 5 STAR SERVICE. YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG USING THEM. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!!! Disappointed, Not being from the area I went online to place an order for flowers to be delivered to a hospital. I ordered the white basket with purple flowers but what was delivered was something totally different. After I placed the order I was contacted by the company saying they were out of baskets but could use a vase. I said a vase is fine but wanted to make sure the arrangement was similar and had a lot of flowers. The lady that I spoke to assured me it would have a lot of flowers and look pretty in a vase. What I did not know is that it would look nothing like I ordered.

I had to place an order from out of town. I didn't know where to go but stumbled upon Rae Dillon Chapin's website courtesy of Google. I spoke to a very helpful person at Rae's that helped me not only figure out what it is I wanted to send but also helped me not break the bank! My friend who the flowers were for, was blown away by the beautiful arrangement that Rae's put together! The floral designer and owner, Darcie, is very good at what she does and really makes the customer feel assured that they are in good hands. I recommend this flower shop to not only out of towners like myself but to locals as well. If you haven't ordered from Rae's yet, you are missing out on a truly wonderful experience.

I'm from Texas and my sister lives in Connecticut. For her 75th birthday I wanted to surprise her but got side tracked at work. I called Dillon-Chapin to see if I was too late to place an order for delivery today. The lady on the phone was very nice and helped me put together an arrangement of flowers that knocked her socks off! Very nice people to do business with. Hope I can get up there soon to thank them in person.

Very helpful and extremely accommodating. I liked one arrangement picture but wanted a slight modification and they gladly did it. My daughter was not at the office when they attempted delivery. Most businesses would have charged for a second attempt or made her go to the store to pick up her flowers. It is nice knowing their business isn't after the all might dollar, but good customer service.

In the photos I've uploaded, the one in the basket with a red azalea and red apples is the picture Dillon-Chapin Inc has on their website. That is the basket I ordered. The two pictures with the green apples show the basket that was actually delivered. I ordered the basket well before noon for same day delivery to my brother in the hospital. Although I provided my telephone number as required, I wasn't notified of a problem immediately. Instead, when checking my email later that afternoon, I noticed an email stating the fruit had to "be ordered" and the basket might not be able to be delivered until that evening or the following day. It was delivered the next day. I was not entirely happy about that, because had they called, I would have immediately substituted something else because he was supposed to be discharged the following morning. Turns out, he has to stay longer, but that's not the point. :) The description states the arrangement includes a potted azalea - the flowers sent look like begonias, I'm not entirely sure. Definitely not azaleas and this is the season for azaleas! Why would you advertise fruit and plants you don't have available? With tax and delivery included, I paid over 75$ for this arrangement. I'm not at all pleased with substituting sour green apples for the red apples depicted on the website. The red apples are sweeter, more widely preferred, and they add a pop of color I was looking for. I changed my rating from 2 starts to 3 on this edit because my brother said thank you and had no complaints.
