I said ok as long as it would look similar to the picture I was sent a picture of the flowers and it doesn’t even resemble what I thought I was ordering there were 3 big flowers in it where there 8 shown in the photo the entire bouquet was leaves

I confirmed someone would pickup the order in person 2 hours after I was notified the you do not deliver to Fort Carson. (April 29th email thread) I then followed up on with another email because your company did not respond to my pickup confirmation email. (May 8th email thread) I was notified that my order had been cancelled because I had not confirmed that my spouse would pick the flowers up, which I had confirmed on April 29th at 10:06pm. (May 8th email thread) I was notified that I would have to go through a third party to receive a refund, but you don't even know which company that is. (May 10th email thread) Bottom line: Platte Floral doesn’t respond to email confirmations, they cancel orders without informing the customer, and they do not provide refunds for a cancelled order. Please don’t do service with them.

Closest florist from the hospital. My mother was admitted. Very rude on the phone..tried to initially get a flowerless arrangement from which I can clearly see in the picture, but they said they do not make those. Settled for the flowers, but did not feel satisfied nor will I go back.

Never buy flowers from these guys. There flowers are old, and if get them delivered, the flowers are dead and will not replace them. They want you to drive to their shop, which is 30 min out of my way and my time. The balloon was flat with NO air in at all. Horrible florist. Horrible customer Service. They need to go out of business, that would be the best thing for Colorado Springs, CO.

Ordered an arrangement online. The arrangement I ordered had tulips, my wife's favorite flower. They called an hour later (after most other places stop doing same day delivery) to tell me that they are out of tulips and do not carry them this late in the year. This is pretty much a bait and switch in my opinion. If you no longer carry the item you have advertised as "for sale" then you should update the photos and description of the arrangement to reflect what you are actually offering. I would not have ordered this arrangement had I known that there would be no tulips.

Came here to get a floral arrangement for my anniversary to get a arrangement for my wife. Sadly, just want impressed by their selection. The bouquets of roses looked unprofessionally arranged due to excessively long stems... just looked unappealing. Finally picked out an assortment of white lilies, asked for a couple of roses to be added, and a wild orange flower (can't remember the name) to jazz it up a little, still not great, but looked better. Major downside, they gave me the assortment in a flimsy card board box to transfer home... couldn't put it anywhere in my vehicle where they wouldn't get damaged. Drove home awkwardly while holding with one hand, crushed some petals as a result... this shop makes me wish Flowerama was still open. Will have to look for another floral shop or just order online from now on.

The owner of this business, Mel, is incredibly abusive emotionally to his employees and has even had the police called on him for physically assaulting them. His turnover rate reflects this to be true. The designers, delivery drivers and phone staff deserve to be treated like humans not trash. He is even rude to customers for no reason at all. The owner can comment on this and say it isn't true but I know for a fact it is and know plenty of people who worked there who would whole heartedly agree. Good hard working people who deserve respect. Spend your money somewhere else if you support equality.

Well, I haven't had any issues with platte floralin the past. At least that I have been aware of. Until now, and this makes me wonder how many times this has happened in the numerous times we have ordered from them. My son-in-law's sister passed away late September. I ordered a sympathy arrangement on a Wednesday for her service in California on a Saturday morning. That arrangement never made it to the service. After contacting the shop and explaining the situation, they tried to find out what happened. The florist in California sent a delivery confirmation stating that the arrangement was delivered around 8 something PM that Saturday. This arrangement has never been received by my son-in-law's family. An employee at Platte Floral was supposed to do more investigating about this and if the florist in California didn't respond, they were going to file a complaint with FTD. This was a week ago. I have not heard anything from either of the florists. The family hasn't received my gift, and I haven't gotten any word as to what's going on. This is completely unprofessional. As I said earlier, it makes me wonder how many other arrangements out of state have been "lost" that we have paid a lot of money for? Communication and being kept in the loop would have been nice. It's been 10 days since the arrangement disappeared. I'm not happy. I would suggest that anyone using them insist on getting a delivery confirmaiton from all florists involved with your orders.

I order flowers from platte floral often. They are the only flower shop I order from. But after today that will never happen again. I called in earlier today to send some flowers to my fiancé. I looked on the website first to make sure I knew exactly what I wanted. When the flowers were delivered they did not even remotely look like the picture on the website. So I called when I called they said that there are several artistic tribute flowers on there website and that it was just a misunderstanding of what I wanted and that the manager would call me back. I went on the wevsite and there is only ONE arrangement with that name. 5 min later A lady called me back who was not the manager and tried to tell me she would come take back the flowers they delivered but would re deliver the right arrangement until Monday. MONDAY?!? Are you kidding me. Then the manager got on the phone and started yelling at me and said the flowers on the website they don't have the stuff to make that arrangement but that they would send yellow roses and orange lilies today. I want what I paid for. The manager even hung up on me. I am a restaurant general manager and that is not how you treat a loyal customer. He should have apologized and said keep the flowers since they were out mistake and we will send new ones out on Monday, that's all I wanted. Not to be told that he could pick.l them up on Monday with the new flowers? So you are telling a loyal customer that you are going to reuse 3 days old flowers to customers in your shop? That is ridiculous. I will never shop at your shop ever again. You need to find a new manager and team. Mel should not be a manager. At all. If he is going to be running your store it will go down the drain I assure you.

If I wanted crap, I would have ordered crap. But to have them pawn off on me the junk after I paid for something else...never again. PS-Telefloral was professional, courteous, and very helpful in the return of the junk we received.

I have asked my fiancee not to order from them again. He sent a bouquet for my birthday and while the arrangement itself was beautiful, the flowers were definitely not fresh. I used to work for a florist and could tell they were at the end of their life. Many of the petals were dead, bruised, and some of the edges were crispy and brown. I'm shocked they let a delivery go out like that to begin with. I called to let them know and while they were polite and offered to send out another arrangement the next day, the replacement arrangement arrived 3 hours behind schedule and, while the flowers were more fresh, it was a definite downgrade from the original arrangement - mostly filled with cheap daisies and carnations and just filler. My original one (which they took back) had lillies and a few other beautiful accent flowers and touches. All I wanted was the original beautiful arrangement but with fresh flowers. I don't feel that is asking too much from a florist but the guy on the phone was making it sound like I'm being really picky to want both. If you know a customer was unsatisfied the first time around, I would think a company would go over and above to ensure the second time around is a definite success, not downgrade the original product the customer paid for.

First of all, the store is much bigger than it first appears. I have worked with four different people here and they are all knowledgeable and very fun- I bought a pair of cactus yesterday- and then came back today to buy more. They have a very diverse collection of plants and also all different ages of plants so you can stay on budget. Can't praise this place and the staff enough. Thanks!

Very disappointed! My husband bought me a dozen roses for mother's day on the Friday afternoon before so they'd be a surprise for me when we got home Sunday afternoon after visiting our daughter and her family. He went to Platte Floral since they are supposed to be one of the best florists in town and he wanted to make sure to get good ones. He'd have been better off just stopping at Safeway. Everyone of the roses was "slumped" over -- the heads bent down when we got back. Fresh roses should last more than 48 hours! He bought them arranged in a vase so did nothing to them except put them on the counter. I have some experience w/flowers and it's clear they were too old when sold. Inexcusable. Unfortunately i had all ready thrown them away when my husband went to get them to return them on Monday. Won't ever shop there again.

I felt the staff were very nice and considerate. I needed a corsage for a "Jingle Bell Ball" for a middle school student in the same day. The ladies were able to show me a variety of flower options and based on the bone structure of the lady wearing it we made the perfect choice. Very impressed that they could fullfil my request in the same day!

So disappointed with platte floral. Ordered my mother specific arrangements and got a hot freaking mess of arrangements that were crammed in a purple vase. When my mother sent me photos I was livid I called platte floral and was told they had to substitute WHAAAT, i paid good money on what you thought I would like?? If I wanted daisies I would've had my sister go in backyard and pick the damn things. I will NEVER patronize PLATTE FLORAL AGAIN!!!

We contacted them the day of a wedding for a brides bouquet. Not only were they able to tell us where to find the flowers we were looking for, they allowed us to bring them to them and they added flowers to make a gorgeous bouquet. The bouquet turned out better than expected considering the last minute request! Would highly recommend.

No problem with quality, just don't order online. They changed my order without telling me so that what I received was NOT what I ordered. They did not wish to make it right. Platte floral, if you change an order YOU HAVE TO NOTIFY THE CUSTOMER. Don't just assume. I called and spoke with J**. Sorry, but vague promises of "I will 'take care of you' at some point in the future" do not cut it. I will upgrade this to 5 stars if you give me half of my money back. Order number is 5305324.

Went in to Platte Floral, approached the desk/table and this OLD RUDE WOMAN... the OLD WHITE HAIRED ONE, wouldn't even acknowledge that I was standing there! She ignored me, she wouldn't look at me, and then I asked another employee for assistance, and the OLD WOMAN butted in and started asking me to repeat what I had already said THREE TIMES! RUDE OLD WOMAN! OLD FLOWER SHOP, DATED, ARRANGEMENTS ARE HORRIBLE, all the reviews about the rude service, the horrible flowers and discrepancies between the photos online and what you really get...... ARE TRUE! I needed a bridal bouquet for my niece, so I went to Platte Floral because they usually do great work. I sat with a floral designer, showed him photos, and we came to what I thought was a good understanding of exactly what I was looking to purchase. He assured me he had the color pallet and would use that color in the bouquet. I informed him that the wedding was an hour away, and he assured me that he would have it boxed and ready for the drive. When my husband picked it up, they had made a completely white bouquet that looked exactly like the one in the floral book and not at all like the photos I had shared with the designer. My husband asked where the red flowers were, they looked at the ticket, noticed what it said and stuck 5 red roses into the bouquet at the last minute. Then they laid it in a half-box that was poorly put together from other bixes, covered the bouquet with used tissue paper and sent him on his way. When I say the bouquet, I cried. Not tears of joy, but sadness because some of the flowers were already wilting and it was not at all what I had planned with the designer. When we got to the venue, the bride picked it up and the ribbon on the handle came off, and one of the long flowers fell out. DURING the wedding ceremony! I was horrified. I called and spoke with another of the designers, who apologized and assured me I would receive a call from the manager the next morning. The call never came. At this point, there's nothing I can do but never again be a customer of Platte Floral, and not recommended their services to anyone.

I ordered flowers for a funeral arrangement and was disappointed and embarrassed. Some of the flowers were obviously wilted. The roses were beautiful but sparse and the arrangement was unimpressive, especially for the cost. I contacted the florist, but they were unwilling to make any concessions.

I ordered flowers for my mom's birthday. When I placed my order it was for peonies. I was under the impression because the order went through that they were available even though it is not the summer season. I received a call saying they were not and I could change my order. The woman I spoke with was extremely un-helpful. She couldn't answer my questions about selecting a new bouquet arrangement and kept telling me I was on the wrong website but couldn't offer a new one. I finally asked for roses with some greenery and sparkle. What my mom received was not worth the $90 I spent. There were 8 roses with a little babies breath. No sparkle. I would get my money back if I could. Perhaps think about hiring someone with a little more knowledge on how to do their job.

i am really surprised about the negative reviews. i have always had very good luck with the floral arrangements i have sent to my mom from this establishment. in July 2016 i ordered my wedding bouquet from here and it was amazing. Patty was the one who made it and the one for my bridesmaid as well. i sent her a picture i found online and the final result was exactly what i had asked for but was even more beautiful. i highly recommend requesting that Patty make your arrangements. she is very talented.

Well, with Valentines Day coming up again this year I was remembering my poor experience that I encountered last year with Platte Floral. I ordered a $175 arrangement for my wife and daughter for Valentines Day 2014 and when it was delivered...at 8pm on Valentines Day by the way...I was extremely shocked! The arrangement did not look anything like the picture I ordered. Some of you might be saying...well there is a disclaimer that says "if the flowers you order are not available they will be substituted". I completely understand that sort of disclaimer for the busiest flower day of the year. But my arrangement was not of "equal" value. For $175 I should be pretty much blown away...and I wasn't...I was extremely disappointed. So, the next day I went to Platte Floral to discuss the problem. I was yet again extremely disappointed when I was approached by the owner and he basically said there wasn't much he could do for me. He offered to add some "filler" for free, but I wanted my money back. He told me that a 3rd party handles online orders and that he is not able to refund my money. There used to be a saying in the consumer world...at least one I believe in, "always make the customer happy". I told him I was unhappy and he did nothing to change that. I will never be back to Platte Floral and a word to the wise; don't order online from them. Go to the store and do it in person...or don't go there at all.

Platte Floral was over an hour late to deliver flowers to my wedding. The flowers were not even the ones that we picked out! The customer service was a joke. We were told something different every single time we called with questions or to make final arrangements. The workers we spoke to on the phone were very rude to us each time. We felt as if we were a bother each time we needed to speak to them. I would strongly suggest going elsewhere.

Burnt, rotting, faded etc.... selection of house plants that are WAY WAY overpriced. Staff is as knowledgeable as 2 donkeys and a chick about most of the plants they carry. Dont bother going if you dont "look" affluent, staff will discount you and or treat you like scum. Waste of time!

I'd highly recommend checking out this store! We went during their annual Christmas open house. The store is gorgeous during the Christmas season. I also love the atrium and looking thru the floral section as well as the green house behind the store. The staff is so fun, friendly and helpful.

EXTORTION! called me after purchase to get more money!?! I usually don't leave reviews unless it's good. I prefer praise over punishment. But today I was SHOCKED at what they did. June17, 2016 I went looking for several tall, large plants for our lobby at our business. I found a beautiful tall sheflera plant. As you know they're not cheap. So I asked an employee if I could get a better deal. She said to talk to another person but I left to find out from my boss if we could spend $175. He said try to get it for less, so I went back looking for the person to ask. Only one person was there and she didn't know. So I said I would just BUY IT AT FULL PRICE could she please have some one help load it ( I had to leave work and borrow a truck ONLY FOR TODAY) She went in the back and talked to someone and came back "Good news we'll do $145 AND we'll deliver it." I said "Great!" PAID FOR IT, arranged for delivery and went back to work. Then I get a phone call. She said we need more money or I CAN'T HAVE IT!!!! WHAT??? I already bought it. So when I went back I asked (calmly and politely) to please speak to the owner. When he came out he didn't want to shake my hand when I introduced myself ( even thought I've been shopping there for YEARS.) and He said he could'nt talk to me he had a phone call. I tried to tell him what happened but he refused to listen to my side of what happened and blamed ME for "playing the employees" WHAT?????

I had just had surgery and my sisters, both out of state, ordered flowers through a florist known by them. They specifically asked for a Spring bouquet with NO lilies. Their florist called Platte floral. What did I get? An ugly red vase filled with greenery, flowers I see on hiking trails, lilies and dark red Gerber daisies. All half dead and missing petals. NOT a Spring bouquet. I called my sister and questioned the order knowing this is not what she ordered. She called her florist and they read back the order and then they called Platte. I did get a call and the flowers were replaced, ( which is the only reason they get any stars). What did I get? I got lilies again, orange this time, 3 red roses and Gerber daisies and a lot of greenery... AGAIN. Each bouquet looked like it was thrown together. NOT a Spring bouquet. I will never recommend this florist to anyone.

Wonderful customer service over many years! Helped my 90-year-old in-laws pick out a tree, gave them a great price and delivered it. Upon setting it up, they realized the tree stand was too big for the tree, so the employees left a smaller stand with them. We are very appreciative!!

**Valentines Day Nightmare** Lookin into filing a complaint to the BBB if not resolved I ordered flowers and chocolate along with delivery for valentines day. First off my girl doesnt celebrate valentines day as she thinks its a fake holiday. Where we never celebrate this holiday I thought flowers and chocolate would be a great surprise. I ordered a total of $103.xx from this company with special instructions to deliver prior to noon. As she works nights and im working days out of state. I got the call around 1230 from my girl that nothing showed up. Thinking all was set and taken care of I told her that the surprise should be on her door step inside the apartment complex she lives at when she got home at least. She got home and I received a call at 2am from my girl that nothing was there. Now im beyond pissed as I payed for services that are not being rendered as promised. Then she says she found a note telling her to come pick up the flowers at the shop after im paying you to DELIVER!!! If youre taking money from me for a service its your job to follow through (btw thanks for ruining the surprise ive had her excited for all week with the note as well). So I called up the next day after calming myself down thinking well its valentines day one of the busiest days of the year for you mistakes are bound to happen. Ok. So I call up and talk to a lady after my 12 and a half hour shift who assured me my order will be delivered tomorrow prior to noon. Promised me even. And I explained to her pick up is not an option my girl doesnt have a car at this time. I paid for delivery and delivery it WILL be. So today I was talking to my girl on break which I don't get typically. She said she got the flowers today at 1000hrs she loves them this that. I asked if she received anything else and she says no... Now im pissed again. I call up and the lady tells me the driver didn't realise there was chocolates included in the order.... And im thinking to myself isnt there a computer system stating whats included that you guys check to ensure the orders right... But like mcdonalds you seem to screw everything up time and time again. And these are the people demanding $15 an hr. So at 1035hrs I called again anyways calm even which took EVERY fiber of my being to do. And politely explained my situation... I asked why my chocolate wasnt delivered and they told me the driver didnt realise yaddiedaddiedaddah sounds like excuses to me. Great. So I told them I want them delivered today before Noon and was looking for some kind of compensation (not refund) compensation for the failed service and at first they offered me a lager chocolate size no extra cost. Great! Then they said never mind were all out how about a balloon... Ok sure not as good but what ever cool. They told me they sent the delivery guy right out at 1045 hrs. I called back minutes later thinkin maybe I should have them deliver to her work but my better judgement thought it best to have them deliver at home due to the already unnecessary complications that has arose. At this point I thought maybe just maybe they could drive 7 miles to complete my order a very patiently waiting customer prior to noon. My girl even stayed behind till 1220hrs hoping to reciece them and saw no hide or hair of a delivery. Awesome! Exactly what I wanted to hear. So now still my order is not complete. So I give up. To top it off I put MY phone number down as the contact number for the recipient to prevent any spoilers and again today a voicemail was left telling her "We've tried twice to deliever now and we'd like you to come pick it up" prior to my career I worked as higher ups and floor staff at call centers and retail and this is the worst customer service ive ever had. Unfortunately where I work 12 and a half hr shifts at a prison all week im unable to resolve this issue until monday. Which I will be calling and requesting to speak to a manager or the owner due to consistant failed service. I wouldn't recommend this store to any one and in fact I recommend anywhere but here for your floral necessities.

The management and staff is completely rude. We ordered a specific style for the wedding and they gave complete different items on the day of the wedding and didn't even contact about the unavailability and wouldn't refund. Gave so much attitude. It was completely appalling. I would not recommend at all.

I called this establishment from out of state with a "floral emergency" and was sure they wouldn't be able to help me given the time crunch. I needed flowers delivered to a funeral home within two hours, and Roberta went above and beyond to make it happen by adjusting their delivery schedule and sending a different driver. She was incredibly kind and compassionate on what was a very sad day. So very grateful for a business that cares about their customers in such a meaningful way.

Ordered a corsage and boutineer (however you spell it, you get the idea) and it was so plain and overall disappointing. The last corsage and boutineer I got was at Dawn's Creations. It was so much better than this.

Profoundly disappointed! We got flowers for our Mother's memorial service. $250 bought two medium sized (20" tall) arrangements of snapdragons, carnations and irises in ugly plastic pots.

I used Platte Floral for my wedding flowers. The flowers were amazing! They were so beautiful! I had to plan my wedding out of state and they were so professional, friendly, and easy to work with during the entire procedure and even delivered the flowers to us. They were flexible with the order and understanding about last minute changes! I absolutely recommend Platte Floral if you want stunning bouquets and stress free service for a wedding or any other ceremony.

I ordered a $75 flower arrangement to be delivered yesterday to a friend who had just come home from the hospital. When I stopped by her house to deliver a gift, I was appalled at the flower arrangement that was delivered. Not only were the flowers rather ordinary, but the arrangement was so ugly I am truly amazed it got out the florist's door! A flower arrangement at a grocery store for less than half the price would have been far superior. I wish I had taken a picture of it so I could post it with this review. I was embarassed to have sent it. The only reason this review is getting any stars at all is because they delivered the mess when they said they would. I will never use Platte again.

Came here to get a floral arrangement for my anniversary, an arrangement for my wife. Sadly, just wasn't impressed by their selection. The bouquets of roses looked unprofessionally arranged due to excessively long stems... just looked unappealing. Finally picked out an assortment of white lilies, asked for a couple of roses to be added, and a wild orange flower (can't remember the name) to jazz it up a little, still not great, but looked better. Major downside, they gave me the assortment in a flimsy card board box to transfer home... couldn't put it anywhere in my vehicle where they wouldn't get damaged. Drove home awkwardly while holding with one hand, crushed some petals as a result... this shop makes me wish Flowerama was still open. Will have to look for another floral shop or just order online from now on. No desire to shop here again in the future.

This place is the worst. If you are trying to make an impression by giving your wife or significant other flowers and you call Platte Floral you have been warned. This is the second order they got wrong. I ordered a center piece for our Easter dinner table. I was suppose to receive the premium rose center piece and received something that looked like it came from 7-11 or street corner. DO NOT order your flowers from Platte.

I had called about Valentine's Day roses and pricing information, when speaking to Linda- an employee there she was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend this place any time soon. Completely unprofessional service.

My husband gets me a bouquet every year for our anniversary and every year they are the most beautiful flowers. Always fresh and never wilty like some of the bigger companies can be. The delivery people are always very friendly and seem to really love their job!

The flowers looked nothing like the arrangement online. It was mostly baby's breath & carnations. Not worth $70.00! I called to tell them they sent me the wrong bouquet and they did not apologize and were rude. I asked them to redeliver a new one. The delivery boy came into the hospital room gave us the new one and asked to have the original bouquet back. Terrible, terrible customer service!!! I was so embarrassed by the whole thing!!!
