I've ordered pretty regularly (about once a month for the last 3 years) solely through their website. I'm out of town a great deal of the time so don't get the opportunity to visit the shop. Every order has met or exceeded what is shown online and has been delivered on time every time. The recipient is always greatly impressed by the variety of arrangements and has been happy with every order that's been delivered. A Special Touch will continue to be the only florist that I order from in Anchorage.

This out of state girl can't say enough good words for this florist!! She even had in stock the type of white flowers I was hoping for when others in town didn't. Sheila, in a very kind and caring manner, went the extra mile to create the sympathy arrangement I desired to have sent to family there in Anchorage. Through phone calls, emails and texts about my order request, she created a stunning arrangement even better than the picture I had sent to her, and then was so very thoughtful to send me a picture of what she had arranged and let me know that it had been delivered. Wow! Even I was comforted with such kindness and service above and beyond. I would highly recommend using A Special Touch Florist...they truly lived up to their name!

I love special occasions, because I know my dad will be sending me flowers from your shop. The flowers are high quality and the name is fitting, A Special Touch. I've had my birthday flowers over a week and they still look beautiful! My co-workers ask if I got a new bouquet. Thank you and keep up the wonderful work! I used to love reading your witty store signs everyday on my drive to work, after dropping my son at turnagain. You should so bring it back.

I ordered from this company due to their high review rating. I will not be able to follow as my experience was not favorable. I ordered a certain arrangement for Mother's Day, the advertised arrangement was shown in purple. While substitutions may be necessary they should at least call the customer to advise them it will not be as pictured. She got white! When I ordered I asked if they could be delivered on Saturday the Day before Mother's Day. I was told they could not be. I was advised that Monday would be the earliest possible delivery date. That being said my wife made plans to be gone on Saturday. By the way I am in Missouri and my wife was in Alaska House and Pet Sitting in Anchorage when all this occurred. Sometime Saturday the florist called my wife to arrange Delivery at 2:00 P.M. They never called me to ask if that would be okay. So...my wife had to end her day out early and travel back to the house to meet the florist. When the flowers arrived my wife sent me a picture of them and a picture of the card. The card looked like it was written by a child who had barely learned cursive an certainly has zero spelling skills. I wish I could post a picture of it.The word Sweetheart was spelled "Sweethurt" I also had the word sons in the verbiage to recognize my wife for be such a great mom to our sons. The spelled it "sun" as far as my name which is Ken that should have been at the end it, it looks like "k5j or k5u" yep guess that added there "Special Touch" to my order ! They should be embarrassed at putting out the delivery and card they did on my order on such as special day. I DO NOT recommend this business. Ken L Willow Springs, Missouri

I am so grateful that you made her such a beautiful arrangement, and that you took the trouble to find her (as I didn't have a hospital room number to give you.) Sorry I'm in the minority here the flowers were pretty I wanted to spend $50 and it was 12:50 to have them delivered I got one Lily and some baby carnations the the bouquet look like I had bought it at the local store and it didn't look to me like to be $50 worth I asked I called and talked to the store and they were in no big hurry to settle my dispute or to try to make it any better so for this reason I give the money to Stars

(Only donating a star b/c I have to)DONT WASTE YOUR TIME PEOPLE. They offer great prices but the cheap products make for a very cheap and unsatisying experience, unfortunately. I came into the store to meet Sheila and she was precisely the opposite of how she sounded on the phone. She discounted all of my ideas, had an unbelievably brass and negative attitude, and was very unflexible, not only with me but my family as well. She was petty and demeaning and it was very obvious that she only wants your money. We arrived at the store giddy with excitement from wedding planning and left the store feeling as if we had been punched in the face. After further research it was obvious that this place was a last resort for most anyways. I SAY AGAIN DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE.

My husband was out of town on Valentine's Day, but he ordered me flowers from 'A Special Touch'. To begin with, the red roses had small yellow spots around the tips of the petals and this "dozen of roses" only had ten roses in it. I received a phone call from a woman asking if I would be home within the next half hour or so because she needed to deliver flowers to me that my husband ordered. Well, I had just left the house and wouldn't be home soon, and she informed me that I would need to contact them the next day with a time that I would be home because they were closing soon. I asked her if she had already tried to deliver them and she said no, but she just wanted to make sure I was there. My husband told me to make sure I was home all day, as he had requested they be delivered during the day and wanted to assure I was home. It was the end of the day and they were closing when I received this phone call. My husband could have been contacted and he could've verified that I was home so that the flowers were a surprise, but the only phone call he received was around noon and he was asked if I was home. I was home all day and not once was there a knock at the door or the door bell rung. The woman was very rude when I asked why she called me instead of my husband, considering they were supposed to be a surprise, she said it was more convenient to call the person they're being delivered to and suggested I just come pick the flowers up if I wanted them that day. I told her I was on my way to get them, then drove from South Anchorage to the Benson location- roughly 20 minutes due to traffic. I got there and it took them a few minutes to find my flowers which was understandable since it was Valentine's Day and they had a lot of orders. However, the woman knew I was on my way, so I don't understand why she didn't go ahead and have them ready for pick up. I mean, my husband paid for them to be delivered in the first place, the least that could have been done is have them near the counter when I arrived to pick them up. Not once did they offer to refund the delivery fee my husband was charged. We wouldn't recommend this business to anyone who is hoping to surprise someone else or have a good customer service experience. I understand mistakes happen and it wasn't that big of a deal that two roses were missing, but the fact I had to pick up my own flowers, the delivery fee was not refunded, and the customer service all around summed this experience up to be a disappointment for my husband and myself. My husband decided that he really wanted to surprise me with flowers, so he contacted MyLord's Floral on Old Seward a few days later and explained what had happened. He was given a fantastic discount, the flowers were fresh and in a beautiful arrangement, also delivered within two hours of him placing the order. Also, after reading other reviews and the very unprofessional responses from 'A Special Touch', it's even more of a reason to not purchase from this business.

Absolutely wonderful experience! I spoke with the owner Shellia. She was great and made some fantastic recommendations on flowers for my wife. The arrangement is gorgeous and I am so happy I called A Special Touch florist. The flowers were delivered to my wife's work the next morning and she was so happy. Her coworkers were so jealous because the arrangement was so beautiful! I will definitely use A Special Touch again. Shellia did a great job!

Don't trust your flowers to just anyone, go with a local shop that really cares to do it right! PS. Gentlemen remember that Just Because flowers are way better than holiday or get out of doghouse flowers!
