I love this place. The people there are really friendly. Had a great conversation about punk rock last time I was there and I bought some fresh oysters to grill on my special oyster grilling cast iron pan. Go there for lunch and a fish taco or buy some fresh seafood from the deli.

This is one of the best (and only) seafood spots in Morgantown. I used to work next door to the Flying Fish for a few years and got to know the staff extremely well. Everyone that works here is extremely friendly and makes for an enjoyable experience. The food quality here is superb and the prices are extremely reasonable.

Fried fish and coleslaw were pretty good, but portion sizes were very small. One little skinny piece of fish for the fish and chips basket - would have expected at least two pieces of fish... also the fries weren't cooked all the way through.

Rude service, one of the worst meals I’ve had. I don’t need someone arguing with me when I ask a simple question. The crab cake was half the size of the roll and the roll was horrible. The fish and chips was soggy and was full of oil. I hardly ever post reviews, but between their lack of customer service and quality of food.

I have NEVER been disappointed when having lunch or dinner at The Flying Fish in Morgantown. Today’s special was Blackened Fish or Shrimp Quesadillas with veggies and smoked Gouda. It was SMOKED-GOODAH!! The Service is always top notch and each team member behind the counter & in the kitchen takes time to say hello to the guest. Thanks again for great food and always exceeding my expectations!!!

My wife and I have always loved this place & enjoy their fish or shrimp tacos on a fairly frequent basis. However, recently, they changed their fries from fresh-cut to shoe-string-like. They are still decent, but not as good or fresh, and they are still listed as the former. Our last order of the shrimp taco proved less than the exceptional standards we have come to expect. They switched from the plump, sweet, tasty larger shrimp to a "popcorn" sized shrimp, which were not nearly as tasty & perhaps not as plentiful in terms of overall volume/weight of shrimp in the taco, but the underwhelming flavor might have deceived us there? We will remain loyal, fir the time being, in hopes that consistency returns to this previously exceptional eatery.

Amazing quality fish here for an inland shop. They travel to the coast weekly for incredible sushi grade fish. Not only that, the cooks are excellent. Everything I've had here has been fantastic. Very casual, lunch or bistro style dining. Check out the 4- 6pm oyster happy hour every day!

Well lets see, first time ever in Morgantown something different its about time!!! This place reminds me of home Virginia Beach Strip thats what the atmosphere feels like its colorful the only thing its missing is the beach and ocean. I had the oyster po-boy and hush puppys, the wife had fish sandwich the food is super awesome and looking forward to going back to see what i can catch from the menu lol. (P.S) my cousin and his girlfriend are awesome at what they do!!!

Got some gumbo to start and then I got an oyster Po boy and my wife got a fish taco. Never since moving up from the South have I managed to get even passable Cajun food but this place knocked it out of the park. Service was good as well.

Drove 1 1/2 hours to get 2 dozen hard shelled steamed crabs. Put them on ice on the way home and when I got home and cracked them open they smelled like ammonia. Could not eat them. Wasted $120. and driving time. Never go back there again.

Flavors were great, but I was really disappointed for the price. $9 for a small bowl of clam chowder? No. Went with a fish 'n chips instead for $10. The fish was so greasy I had to use napkins and the breading fell off in doing so it was so soaked. That's unfortunate because it did taste quite good. The fries were pretty boring and were 60% of the meal. Overall, not a good value. Probably won't be back.

Seriously love this place. Traveling for a living it is extremely difficult to eat healthy!!! We ordered the grouper and slaw...plus some fresh shrimp!!! Yummo! The food and service are outstanding! We were in and out quickly and left satisfied! Tho fresh fish brought inland is a bit pricey...this "fresh catch" is totally worth it!!! Thank you and we will see you again!

We had NE clam chowder and fish & chips. The chowder had excellent flavor, a nice portion of chopped clams and not too many potatoes. The f&c were served piping hot. The batter was light and crispy and the cod was flaky, moist and fresh.

There stuff can be alittle expensive, and then other things can be cheaper. It just depends. There the only other place then then mall I've found that sells "Muddy Girl" and the only place ive ever found that has "Girls With Guns" ! All together they have a pretty nice selection of just about every thing when it comes to fishing or even hunting. I can't say enough about how great the food is at The Flying Fish! The owner's license plate reads "FishMon", and yep, he KNOWS his seafood. Everything is fresh. The Fish & Chips meal is lightly fried. The tacos are to die-for. And now you can get beer and wine with a meal! And if you ever want to prepare seafood at home, the owner will tell you the best way to prepare it. LOVE LOVE LOVE The Flying Fish!

We visited for the first time. The steamed shrimp with old bay were good quality and fresh. The mahi fish (with jerk seasoning) sandwich was very good. The fish was tender and fresh. The crab cake sandwich was delicious. Full of crab meat, not filler. The hush puppies were much better than the fries. We would return for sure.
