The absolute best fish sandwich I have ever eaten. Their seafood is always delivered fresh daily, and they have cold cases of so many types of seafood, it's amazing to see. Their restaurant is on site, and always busy. Good prices on their food too. Not to mention that they supply area restaurants with seafood, so you know it's fresh. Only way to get it fresher is to pull it in on the boat yourself.

As always excellent! For those that have not been there before the regular comes on bread. You have to order the deluxe to get a bun. Also its Pollock in the regular line. If you want Canadian White you need to get in the special line. Clam chowder was very good.

Mediocre. My son ordered the soft shell crab sandwich and could not chew it... the shell was too hard. (I would love to include photos of obviously hard shell!) The cole slaw was good. We ordered crab cakes... got one cake that tasted like the dressing I make for holiday meals and had only a few tiny flakes of meat in them. The scallops were ok, but nothing to rave about.

I was a bit disappointed with the market. The fish side of the market was awesome but, most of the vendors never seem to be open for business. The place to go for soup isn't open during the winter months (when one actually wants soup) but open in the summer. Disappointed. However, the people are always very nice.

Coleman's? Absolutely legendary! Forget what you know about a fish sandwich, this is the Holy Grail of fish. Us locals with sense order the fish sandwich, "bread separate". This gives you an extra large portion of fish or the option to take the remaining fish and make an extra sandwich at home.

Impressed by variety of options. Smelled delicious and tasted just as good. I could go back many a times to try something else. Nearby are other food options. Within the market area is a great cheese counter with all the sweets one could wish for. The Asian counter looked pretty darn good as well.

Coleman's has the best fish I've ever had anywhere. I'm not a huge fan of fish in general, but there is something special about their amazing fish sandwiches. If you've never had one, you won't be disappointed. Their seasoned fries are really good too. They have a huge selection of various seafood that is always fresh.

There are many reasons why this place is so crowded on Fridays in Lent. One simply cannot visit Wheeling without having a Coleman's fish sandwich. I've been married to a Wheeling girl for almost 40 years, but we've never eaten any of their products except the sandwich (sometimes the "Canadian White" version), though I'm sure they're all delectable. Try the waffle fries. Insider tip: Order your sandwich "off bread". Eat it hot and fresh with a little salt. We never even sully it with tartar sauce. You'll never want a fast-food fish sammich again!

Coleman's is a classic in the Wheeling area. People come from all over the place to get their fish sandwiches. The default is the pollock on bread. Period. I tend to get the whitefish and ad a touch of tarter sauce. It takes a little longer and you have to go through the special order line, but I really like it. They will serve it without the bread if you want (that's how I order it) or for a bit more they will serve it on a bun. Coleman's is in the historic market house and I remember being a tyke and shopping for produce there with my mom. There are lots of little shops across from the market house on both sides. Fun area to check out in addition to the really good fish sandwiches. BTW, they have all sorts of seafood and some other items you can order besides fish.

This was our first time here. We've been hearing all sorts of great things about it for a while now. I would recommend going with a local so that when you have questions they can answer them for you, the employees did not seem to have time for all of that. We got clam chowder, which we both thought was very runny, but it did have a good amount of clam in it. And the fish sandwich that we got was surely not the one everyone has been clamoring about, because it was basically fish sticks in between two pieces of bread. But maybe we had no idea what we were doing...may try it again down the road, but then again maybe not.
