This is a hidden gem! We go here for shrimps and it's way better than the shrimp shack on the way to Deception Pass. I was intrigued that they actually had a section of Filipino sauces and snacks. They carried Skyflakes! Say what?

The gold standard for fresh seafood and exceptional customer service! Five stars aren't enough to accurately describe how great they are. A couple of years ago, when they were closed on a Sunday evening, I made the mistake of buying advertised "local" crab, which the person at the seafood counter told me was actually from California, from a grocery chain. Never again will I make that mistake! It's Skagit's Own Fish Market ONLY, for me.

Usually great. Beside the spot prawns I bought that were 90% eggs, this is the only complaint I've EVER had. I bought a crab today and was told to steam or boil it for 5 to 7 minutes. I cleverly cooked it for 6 minutes. I just shelled it and the meat is HARD. I've never had over cooked crab however I'd be willing to bet that's what is wrong with this. Really disappointed. It wasn't cheap and was my app. for this evening. Once again, this is usually a great place for all seafood. Always fresh, and a wonderful selection. That's probably why this is disappointing. Happens so rarely.

Had the fish tacos and they were sooo good. Slightly spicy, lots of veggies in them. The location was just far enough off highway five that you don’t feel like you’re sitting with the cars, but close enough that you don’t have to go far out of your way.

the lady who sold me the crab with the big block of ice frozen to it should have been up-front that one of them was nicely thawed and may have been for a day or two and the other one was frozen rock solid with a large piece of ice attached to it at $25 a pound

Really delicious sandwiches. Trust me I'm hard to please.I would go 5 star but you have to be insanely good in my book for a 5. Ok I went back and got the Dungeness crab sandwich and I must say it's amazing so even though it's extremely no frills just food I have to go 5 star. Also I had some fresh Dungeness crab and tried to duplicate it and failed. Mine was pretty good but there was just something missing try as I may.

I have been thinking hard if I should let the world know about this place that serves the most awesome crab roll in the Pacific Northwest. We stumbled into this place thinking of getting you typical fish and chips but ended up ordering the crab roll. It turned out to be the most awesome value-for-money crab roll. The crab meat is super fresh, moist and huge serving of crab meat on the roll. A light creamy dressing is used on the crab meat. The bread itself is lightly toasted and has a bit of crunch when you bite into them. Staff is very helpful and honest. We wanted to order some raw oyster, they advised oyster not that fresh , don’t take it raw but will cook the oyster for us. What an awesome bunch of people.

Great seafood, fresh shrimp, salmon, etc. It is a bit pricey as they have the concession in that area right on the main highway headed away from Burlington toward Deception Pass on Whidbey Island and Anacortes on Fidalgo Island, the Washington state ferries access point to the San Juan Islands and Canada.

I’m so sad to write this, after seeing what great reviews this place has, but I was EXTREMELY disappointed when we came in. I was expecting to buy a lot of snow crab legs, clams, and salmon. We even drove about 45 minutes out of our way to come here. But there were NO snow crab or clams, and and salmon wasn’t anything special (and just as expensive as our grocery store in EASTERN WASHINGTON). There was only one sad case of fish, but nothing special.

Was there to buy shrimp, I called before we came over and asked price, a lady said $6.99/lb or 5lbs/$30. I told the sales lady but she those are the tiny ones. The $8.50/lbs are bigger yet we saw it in our own eyes she mixed the tiny ones, so I bought 5lbs, the cashier said $30 even her boss no its $40. Apparently the cashier knows its 5lbs for $30.

The best fresh seafood in Skagit Valley. Wanted scallops for a special dinner and (of course) extra-large beauties were flown-in last night from Rhode Island. The price was more than fair and less than suspect, previously frozen and thawed scallops from a grocery store. They always have great oysters too! In fact, the only thing more dependable than Skagit's Own Fish Market's huge, delicious selection of high quality seafood is the friendly service you'll receive 100% of the time from this local family business. Highly recommend!

We had lots of fun, the food was good. No bathrooms and no place to wash it before you eat, they will hand you out sanitary wipes. There is a sign that says no running water, not sure how the kitchen stays clean

The prawn po' boy is to die for. We happened to be driving by around lunch time and decided to stop. We asked the clerk what she recommended and she said the special. Ohmygod. The remoulade was flavorful and not-too-heavy and the prawns were fried to perfection. We've stopped three more times just for these.

I dont usually buy seafood or fish, not because I dont love seafood in particular, especially shellfish, but because the purchase is often pricey and the quality dubious. That is not the case here. Owners are aware of events that contaminate our food supply, for example, the BP oil spill, and adapt their buying patterns to meet the needs of their clientele. That's why shrimp are offered fresh from Anacortes.. a delicacy worth a try, from the Sea of Cortez, rather than the Gulf of Mexico, and I was introduced to " Aquaculture" shrimp as the alternative to farmed. So much available. So much to learn. I will spend a long time expanding my fish intake with information and quality I can trust. Seafood and local fish offered with a conscience! Give it a try. Ask questions. You are what you eat!

Great selection of seafood. The fresh ahi poke is one of our favorites. And picking up a variety of seafood for a light refreshing salad. And they always have fresh oysters. Also, they carry a variety of things... but another thing we like to get here is the pickled ginger.

What a gem of a place! We spotted the sign for UPick blueberries. We're from out of town where our nearest blueberry farm charges $5 per pint. Imagine our surprise when we saw it was $2.25 per POUND. I'm sure that price varies from season to season. They also had a quaint shop of fresh seafood and complimentary sauces and condiments for the seafood. Would love to come and visit again!

A great local market source for produce, fresh seafood and made to order seafood meals. Pick-your-own blueberries too! Love the fresh tacos and the oysters. If you're looking for a restroom stop, though, be prepared for a porta potty. That won't stop us. This is one to return to!

Took a trip to Anacortes to go Halibut fishing, the fishing service was a bust, the charter we booked for 6 people didn't work out. We were headed home after a week in the area when we saw this place, stopped to check it out but the driveway was closed. We were about to leave when the owner came out and opened for us! We bought several hundred dollars worth of fresh seafood to bring home to Coulee Dam. Awesome place and the customer service was exceptional! Planning another trip here in a few weeks just to stop here again!! Stopped here again July 2019 on a trip to Lopez Island. Had an awesome crab sandwich, service was great, this place is always a treat! Love it...

My dad and I flew in from out of town and I was so excited for him to try the crab roll, but when we arrived, we were informed that the kitchen shuts down AN HOUR before closing each day, so the grill was cold and they could not make us crab rolls.

I'd always seen this place on the side of the road, but took forever to come inside. When I finally did, I was NOT disappointed. They have a wide variety on the menu, service was prompt, and very polite. I had the whole crab, grilled oysters (which were probably the best, and largest grilled oysters I've had), and my parents both had the lobster roll. Everything was awesome! Can't wait to go back!

This place is awesome. We stop here to refresh our supply of Trilby's seasonings. We picked up a dozen fresh oysters for grilling and oh wow they were huge and tasty. They also have U-pick blueberries. We'll be back soon!

Service was amazing! Seafood selection was ok. I suggest calling ahead if you're looking for something specific. They don't have a live crab tank & were out of whole crab, mussels, and clams when we got there at the end of the day on Tuesday. So we just got shrimp. Kitchen closes before the shop actually closes. They do have Lopez Island Ice Cream.

This was a complete disappointment for us - the place is not at all like what you may perceive reading the description online. We did not actually had lunch there so not sure if that has the magic but from a seafood market standpoint, this place sits not offer much at all. Very tiny to begin with, and I did not see any basic fresh fish option (being so close to the water). Not recommended if you are really looking to buy fish.

The lobster roll was so good ended up getting 2. I so think the toast could either use a lighter butter or maybe no butter and drizzle butter on the meat itself but the texture and flavor of the lobster was excellent. Also very friendly staff and a good selection of take home oils and salts.

Really really fresh lobster rolls. So good. Juicy fresh lobster, crunchy celery, buttery rolls, all together in the perfect sandwich. The crab cake was also very good but the sauce that comes with it is what makes it excellent. And probably the best potato salad I have ever had. Certain times of the years you can also pick your own blueberries. Don’t miss this local gem!!
