I ordered for the first time from Aquarium Co-Op last week. Received the plants and I was blown away! They're HUGE and able to be split multiple times. "Three" Java Ferns is actually 10-12 individual rhizomes, with two to three leaves per rhizome (though I didn't actually count them, as I got impatient and left a few clumped together -- I'm a novice, so please don't flame me if that was a mistake). All were healthy, and pearled almost immediately when I put them in the aquarium. I'm getting a bit of melt on the vals, but I gather that that's to be expected. Overall, I'm absolutely thrilled with Aquarium Co-Op's plants, and just ordered more. I also dosed with Easy Green, Easy Iron, and Easy Carbon. Kudos!

This was my first visit to Aquarium Co-op, and I really like this store! It's clean and well kept in every aspect. The fish are all strong and healthy too. I bought 6 Cardinal Tetras just before Christmas and there has not been a single problem with them, I still have them all. :) The employees were all friendly and very knowledgeable, and were quick to help when I had any questions. I bought a dwarf lily, pearl weed, and the easy green fertilizer online. Shipping was fast, products came safely packed and in great condition. The pearl weed took off growing and is my favorite plant in my tank. The lily lost a couple of the bigger leaves, which is probably my error, these where my first live plants, but it's got new leaves coming up and it's awesome when my blue dwarf shrimp perch on the leaves, so I'm really pleased with that one as well. The fertilizer is easy to use and shrimp safe. I will definitely buy from them again when I want more plants and fertilizer.

Customer service is the #1 priority at this store. I have been very impressed. I only have done online orders, in which every single time my order has shipped promptly and has been packaged with care. The items come in just as described/ordered and if I have a problem, they are extremely quick to fix the issue. I also appreciate that Aquarium Co Op tests their products and sells what they believe is the best on the market (which they seem to always be right!), including using all of the products that they make, such as their fertilizer, consistently in their own tanks. After waiting for months I was finally able to purchase the large intake sponge for my 35gallon hexagon aquarium. I had already added smaller ones to my other tanks and let me tell ya if you haven’t purchased some you really should! They keep all the yuck out of the filters (well most of it anyways) makes cleaning the tank so much easier! As always aquarium co-op delivered fast and great quality. I bought the easy green combo pack. Great value and I was very intrigued by how simple it is to dose. I was a diehard seachem user but wanted to give this a shot. So far so good! Super easy to use. Exceptional service as well. My pump top snapped off about a week after using. Seemed like a fluke as None of the other bottles did this so I emailed Aquarium COOP customer service about and requested to buy a new pump top. Cory wrote me a quick note back that made me chuckle and offered to send a new pump top out no charge. Exceptional service!!!!

I purchased the Fluval Nano 3.0 LED Light. I love the new sleek profile, very easy to assemble and mount on the tank. Nice app to use on customizing your favorite settings. Haven't had it long enough to accurately judge how well it will grow plants, but I'm pretty sure it will do most medium level type plants. I am using this light on a 20 gal tall, and I am soon going to try growing a carpet type plant. This is a non co2 tank so not trying for high light plants . I am so far very pleased with this light.

Excellent Light, Bad Customer Service I bought a Finnex 12" Stingray 4 watt light which makes the fish and plants pop in my 15 gallon column tank. Better looking than my original 8 watt T5 bulb. I had emailed customer service and asked the TOTAL length of the light, with switch included, before purchasing. They said 12" but it is actually 12.5" long. I had 12.25" to work with inside my lid. Because the light was night and day compared to the original T5 bulb, I dremeled my lid(which is what I didn't want to do) to make it fit. Customer Service just read the box that said 12". Don't reply as verification if your not going to do the work.

I will never get fish anywhere else after my fabulous experience here. I stopped by after finding some useful information on the store's blog just to window shop. I was immediately greeted by very busy, but friendly staff. I let him know I was window shopping and he kindly excused himself, informing me of where to find him if I had questions. A week later I returned to buy some fish, the store was packed but I was acknowledged upon entering and helped when it was my turn. The gentleman who helped me pick out fish and a plant was very knowledgeable and had great suggestions. The fish all looked incredibly healthy and the selection is so much better than box stores. Best local fish store in the Seattle area! Beautiful store, beautiful fish, and such variety of stock, equipment, and decor. They do it right, so you know you're getting healthy fish. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Note: it's very warm inside on account of heating the tanks so take off any jackets before coming in. Best to leave them in the car.

The tanks are perfect conditions for their healthy fish to thrive. Their prices are higher then big chain stores on some livestock because they're MUCH better quality. Staff is wonderful, and even throw in plant clippings to your livestock bags. One of the Cherry Shrimp I bought is pregnant too!

Great company. Super fast shipping, often same day. I’ve bought several things from them, most recently a dwarf aquarium Lilly. I’ll admit it was a little small and a little worse for ware but it was obvious the shipping team noticed and not only provided a sprouting bulb but a second plant with really long roots. They also provided root tabs. Not to many (if not any) companies will go the extra mile like that to ensure success. This type of service and attention to detail is the reason why I come back. Came from Portland. We have shopped here (via online) since starting in the fish hobby. We are now at 3 tanks and this was the first time going to the actual store. I have to say we weren't impressed. We tried to interact with the employee and he just sort of stared at me like I was speaking another language. More employees than customers and when we asked for help (to purchase) the employee's response was "well, I'm helping 3 other people so I guess so". I didn't see the 3 other people. My husband felt he had to explain and stated "if it helps, I'm going to buy). Also, nearly $90 spent and no receipt was given. We were so uncomfortable we just wanted to pay and leave.

Great online shopping experience, with great fast shipping, and reasonable prices. I was also able to purchase a 1-lb. bag of crushed coral, which is hugely convenient when I only use a tiny bit at a time and don’t have much storage space - I couldn’t find a bag smaller than 20-lbs anywhere else. And the T-shirts with Murphy the Puffer on them are insanely comfortable!

I love this store. I love them because I am new to the hobby and confused, but having done my research online and in my local area I have no doubt what so ever that this is a store that operates with integrity, trust and dignity. When I visit Aquarium Co-Op I know that I am being true and tried, honest information and am purchasing the best products that have been tested over and over again. I am now 6 months in to the hobby and have tanks that I am soooo happy with! Not only do they have a wonderful selection of freshwater fish, but they quarantine every single one that comes into the store and they medicate them too. That means that it is super unlikely that I will be coming home with sick fish. How awesome is that? Thank you for that Aquarium Co-Op. Oh and the new Betta Barracks are to die for! They also have a decent selection of aquarium plants that they try to convert to being submerged before you go home with them first. They are labelled with their difficulty level to keep which is super helpful for a n00b like me. Their selection of foods and products isn't huge, but I KNOW that those are the products that the owners and staff have tried, tested and use themselves. Why carry more product that isn't as good as the ones on the shelf already? All that would do is confuse customers more. It makes my life so much easier. If you have have an issue with anything totally reach out to the store or their customer support. They are awesome and will do anything they can to help you out. The staff there is really the hook though. They are amazing. They answer any question you have and I can tell that they know what they are talking about, not just from training and personal experience but also from their passion that they have for the hobby. I want to give a direct shoutout to the gentleman with the curly hair and glasses (he was also wearing a hat when I last visited). He knows his stuff, takes his time with all customers so that he knows that they have everything they need to succeed in the hobby. He was kind, caring, knowledgeable and just all around awesome. I had so many questions and worries when walking into Co-Op and I came out with several bags of fish and accessories and a new sense of confidence and excitement. This guy was the only guy on staff the last two times I came in and he handled several rushes of customers by himself and made sure that every single person was taken care of. He deserves a raise and some tacos.

This is our first choice for buying aquarium plants. When I am planting a tank this is the only place I generally go. They have a far better selection than any other place I am aware of locally, and plants are generally very healthy. The staff here are all in the hobby. There are even display tanks credited to various people that work there. You can get answers to questions from people that really know what they are talking about. Staff is also friendly and approachable. It's generally a good experience. Fish selection is generally good as well. It's on par with the larger stores in the area that have largish aquarium sections. They take good care of their stock, though. Fish from here appear healthier than would be typical in a chain pet store. I never worry about buying fish from here. There are three stores in the region that I am willing to buy fish from; this is one of them. It is an especially good place to go for freshwater shrimp. They have a smaller selection of equipment and supplies. It's a small store, and mostly stuffed with aquariums, so there just isn't room. Still, if you are in need of food or fish drugs they probably have you covered. They also sell a few different lights and filters. Their prices are in line with other stores locally (and much better than a couple of the more expensive ones). Be aware that they don't accept cash anymore (or didn't as of early 2019, anyway). It's credit/debit card, Apple pay, and a couple of other options. Call before driving down here to see what your options are if you don't plan on paying with a card.

Have ordered plants and lights and other aquarium products like sponge filters and sponge prefilters and just invested in a CO2 regulator that seems really nice. Haveny hooked it up yet. But i live on the east coast and i would say i have gotten all my orders within 3 days no later. That is amazing. Everything has been great quality and i have no complaints

Med Trio is awesome! I picked up around 50 guppies off Craig’s List, put them into quarantine and treated with the med trio. This was my first time using it and so far so good. Out of the entire batch I only lost two and they all seem to be far healthier and more active than day one. It’s been a week and I just did a water change and I’ll leave quarantined for a few more weeks just to make sure they’re good to go in my show tanks. I would recommend very highly following Corey’s med trio treatment.

Overall experience was very good. While i don't like how the light was packaged with just tape on edges and around middle no wrapping at all "except factory box of course ". Cory responded quickly to my email and explained why it is sent that way. I don't fully agree with doing it that way, but i do now understand why they do it that way. And incase you don't know they have a very good YouTube channel with lots of information about fish keeping. Enjoy both the channel and purchasing experience.
