I thought I had a problem with my red lamp for a lizard. The shop owner was able to troubleshoot the issue where the dimmer was turned down. Great service!

Seems to be very knowledgeable and has a decent selection of fish and equipment, the only issue I have is that it is somewhat expensive. This is not a chain store, so I understand the need to have higher prices. With that said, I believe that if you are experienced with aquariums or ponds then this is the place. If you are looking for a fish bowl and guppy go elsewhere.

This is my LFS and the only place I will go for any of my saltwater tank needs. The owner is so helpful and friendly and has gone out of his way to help me when things have gone wrong with my tank. Highly recommend them!

Always available to talk to and get advise from. First time doing a saltwater tank and Chris was very helpful with any help I needed. They have a good selection of fish and if they don't have it they will get it for you! Go check them out!!

Fish selection is large, they have about 50-100 tanks with so many different species of freshwater fish. Prices are decent and the other side of the space has a lot of wood, stone, and other fish care products.

I must say from a saltwater/Coral perspective I would rank them very bad or worse. They are basically a fresh water fish store. I have been in numerous times and see what looks like either dead fish, sick fish, or fish clearly in distressed. In terms of coal, don't waste your time. They have one show tank in desperate need of maintenance and a big holding tank with nothing much. I maintain a 115 gallon tank for myself and 6 tanks for others and am weekly in the market for livestock. I afraid most/all of my purchases are from Marine Scene who has outstanding service and merchandise.

I will go back to them for all of my wet pet needs. I highly recommend you stop by and see their large warehouse full of fresh and salt water fish and supplies!

A good store with nice people, constantly have new fish coming in so you'll never be disappointed with what they have. They have fresh and saltwater fish, big fish small fish, peaceful fish, mean fish, they have a bit of everything, even a very large turtle. The staff is very nice and very knowledgeable on fish. They have fair prices and will sometimes change them depending on the quality of the fish. Definitely a very cool store and somewhere I definitely recommend to buy your fish and supplies at.

From a saltwater hobbyist perspective this place is not on my list of places to go. Never got a chance to speak to the staff so I can't comment on that but what I can say is that everything I looked at (saltwater related) was insultingly over priced. Your better off buying everything online.... I personally will not be returning to this place. Sorry for the negative review but you guys need a lot of work.

We came here 7 years ago and got 3 angel fish and sadly 2 of them died about a month ago but the third is still perfectly fine and we just wanted to thank the owner for all of his guidance he is so helpful and is more than just the owner he is a kind knowledgeable owner who is always willing to help you(and your fish)!

The guys here are extremely helpful without them my aquarium would have been ruined. They're the first I call for advice. They have a great selection of fish which all seem to be healthy. They are over priced though to extremes but they have such a beautiful selection and just know so much about any questions you could ever ask for about fish.

Horrible place, dirty tanks full of leftover food that looks like it's been piling up. Dead fish, untrimmed plants, their best tank has ghost knife fish, that one was nice. The first tank you see as you walk in, its full with algae and its not pleasant to look at, except the beautiful discus inside. Look like the guy just gave up or he needs to hire more capable hands.

This is a great LFS. It has a wide variety of fresh and saltwater fish, as well as it's bread and butter Koi. Friendly staff and good hours. Lots of equipment to choose from as well. Definitely worth a trip if you're in the Northern Virginia Area.

Store was kind of empty... Staff was friendly, thus 1 star... But I bought saltwater... Paid for it, got home... Was Really wayyy too low. I was aware they may have been running out, but why water it down so you can sell 5g worth of water I could not use immediately. Lucky for me, I had a bit of salt left, and was able to make it the correct level being able to utilize it the next day... I WILL NEVER Get Water From Here Again!!! May not even go back, check out other LFS...

Got some bad advice from this place. Was told I would have no problem using my tap water (which i brought to him) but it was reading 20ppm nitrates!!!! Other than that, this guy has been down to earth with advice. I do have to say whenever i visit some of his fish are dead in the tanks.... also another down side. I do want do live this guy though.... Please show me better soon! However, this is my closest LFS and I will be asking if his system is linked to his tanks..... cuz one of them had ich...... soooooooooooooooooooo i will update!!
