I love Ford’s! I’ve been to this one and the one in Ashburn and they are both superb. The specials are a little pricey, but they are always delicious and it’s a great way to shake things up from ordering the same things on the menu. When it comes to the menu you really can’t go wrong. I’ve had a ton of the items on there and I always walk away happy. The service is also very good. They are quick and responsive while also being very respectful. It’s a lot better than your typical sit down restaurant. The great food does come with a higher price tag, but it is definitely worth it. If you like seafood (even a little bit), you’ll love it here.

We tried the deviled eggs, smoked salmon bruschetta, and the fish and chips. First, the service is great. The wait staff is helpful and friendly. Our server checked on us often and made suggestions. The food was delivered quickly. The mini jalapeno corn muffins and blueberry muffins with maple butter we're great. Soft and moist. The deviled eggs were piled high and topped with candied pecans. There were two strips of preline bacon as well. The filling was slightly sweet and had horseradish in it. I'm not a fan of horseradish, so I am not the best judge, but it seemed to overpower the other flavors. If you like horseradish you will probably really like them. It was by no means a horseradish Bonanza, for me it only takes a little horseradish to be too much. The smoked salmon bruschetta was incredible. The smoked salmon was lightly smokey, tender, and moist. The quartered cherry tomatoes were drizzled with balsamic and oil tossed with a chiffonade of basil and sprinkled with goat cheese. This was served with toasted sliced rustic bread, a charred lemon half, and what appeared to be an aioli that really made it. This was by far the highlight of the meal. I would return just for this dish. The fish and chips were a let down. Served with shoestring fries, house tarter, coleslaw, and ketchup. The coleslaw was not bad. It was a little different in that it lacked carrots and appeared to have dill pickle in it. The pickle flavor was not overpowering just not the flavor I usually associate with coleslaw. The batter for the fish was not overly thick, and appeared to be an attempt at a sort of beer/tempura hybrid. This was not successful. The strong "egg" flavor just did not work with the fish. The batter was crispy on the outside, but appeared to have been either too thick or not left down long enough and was therefore mushy on the interior. All of you fried fish lovers out there know this spells disaster and the batter will just fall off the fish. The fries were very very good. I love a good shoe string and these were golden brown and slightly crispy. Overall a really great experience, but the fish batter recipe will need to be re-thought. I would recommend going even if it's just for the bruschetta. I'm sure there are other great items on the menu we didn't get to try too.

We had a wonderful lunch date at Ford's Fish Shack. Plenty of free parking on the back of the restaurant. Inside is nicely decorated, painted gray with comfortable seatings. The fried clams were delicious, accompanied by cold slaw. The fish tacos and fries were nicely prepared, and the salmon chopped salad was perfectly cooked. This will be one of our favorites around the Premium Outlet Mall area.

Love to go to Ford's ever since they opened in 2010. We are about equal distance to two of the restaurants in Ashburn and Lansdowne. Ashburn was there first and usually has a wait to be seated. Try calling ahead particularly if you have a large party. I like the Lansdowne location for convenience. There are so many good things to choose from. For an appetizer I would suggest the Angry Mussels, you can also ask for that as a meal over penne. Their salmon or salmon salad are great, the salmon has a smoked flavor. If you like a fish fry try a combination of either ipswich clams, oysters, shrimp or scallops. Consider adding a piece of cod or lobster tail. The Lobster tail can be broiled or fried, I like the fried with this combo. This is one of my favorite restaurants. Enjoy!

What a disappointment! We have been a handful of times and each time the experience is worse then the time before. Highlights were grilled lobster tails and fried oysters. Everything else including swordfish dish were not worth the money charged. We went on a Friday evening and the noise from the bar was overwhelming to say the least. Floors are so slick that even walking to the restroom is fraught with disaster. Unfortunately it appears that many think this location equals the other. It does not! Very uneven performance when it comes to food and service here.

If you don’t love seafood, you’ll fall in love with it dining here! My boyfriend and I were craving seafood and stumbled upon this beauty. Our waiter was amazing and quick; very attentive. The food was to die for! We had the mussels to start and they were drenched in this amazing sauce with crisp buttered bread on the side. Mouth watering. The portion was amazing. Afterwards, he had the special of the day which was sword fish with spaghetti. That tasted so good! I had some time of penne pasta was oyster, shrimp, & sausage (I can’t remember the correct name of it) and it was amazing. We will definitely be coming back! Especially for those yummy mussels!

It's good. I haven't had anything that is GREAT. I tend toward the fish fry (careful it is REALLY hot when it comes out). Service was OK, but not exceptional. We used to go there once a month or so, but we've moved on to Copperwood Tavern in One Loudoun. Better service, more flavorful food. I can't say that Ford's is horrible, it's just that nothing stands out as exceptional.

Tony has opened another Ford's in Lansdowne to satisfy more hungry guests! We started coming to this (Lansdowne) location since the wait is a lot shorter than the Ashburn location. You can expect similar service and the same great seafood as other locations! Ford's also offers full-service catering and online orders for pick-ups. Pick-up orders are easy, order online and pick-up the order from the host station. Their catering is very professional and a great way to impress your guests at your next event!

I went in recently with my family. We ordered a dozen oysters first and got a couple defective ones, the waiter was good at coming back and giving us some new oysters. Then I ordered a burger, it appeared to be fine and I was famished so I took a bite only to discover that the center was almost raw. I ordered my burger medium rare and I enjoy a bit of pink in the middle, but the center of the burger was almost entirely pink and raw and it was cold, meaning they only threw it on the grill for a little. They quickly gave me a second one and comped it off our bill. The second burger was also cold and almost raw. I decided to just take it home and nuke it to cook it more. Don't know if I will be returning

The rockfish special was only a good deal for the restaurant, clearly the fish was getting old and they decided to get rid of it by overcooking and offering it as the special. Bad fishy taste, dried out tough, and the attempt at overseasoning to cover up the bad fish was unsuccessful. My family liked the crab legs, and the oysters were good, but dang it's hard to look past a main dish of fish (at a restaurant named for fish) that was so mediocre.

Ordered two dozen of the $1 oysters. Asked to have a mixture. Got my bill and found that 2 kinds of the 4 I had we're $1 one's. The other 2 we're $2 ones. What should have been a $30 tab was over $50. I liked this place and love there oyster specials. Next time I will have to make sure I'm more specific.

My family and I had dinner at this Ford's location on 8/24/19. Prior to this incident, we had been to this location multiple times and have had nothing but wonderful service and food. Our most recent experience was far from wonderful. My husband and I both ordered the New England Cod. We’ve both had this dish previously and it’s normally perfection. The fish was great. The green beans were terrible. They were hard and inedible. In fact, they were difficult to cut with a knife. We asked our waiter for new, properly cooked green beans. Fifteen minutes later, two new dishes of green beans were delivered to our table. They were just as hard as the original ones. And even worse, my husband’s green beans had plastic in them. We asked for the manager. The manager causally commented that it looks like part of the steam bag. Completely unconcerned with the fact that my husband almost bit into plastic. On top of that, the manager informed us that the green beans are just “garnish” and we did not pay for them anyhow. He said that we were paying for the cod, not the “garnish” and, in essence, made excuses for the poorly cooked green beans. The manager did offer us key lime pie to make up for each side of green beans. When we got home, only one slice of key lime pie was included in the takeout box, not two. Even so, key lime pie does not make up for our terrible experience. We found the manager’s attitude to be absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. The waiter was very apologetic and we understand none of this was his fault. Further, we contacted this location two weeks ago via their contact us page on their website and have not heard back. Very disappointed in our experience and level of customer service.

The take out was disapponting to say the least. This is a very pretty location inside but both the food & service run hot & cold.
