I wanted to try a local place after going downtown to the wharf to purchase crabs for many years. I ordered 1.5 dozen male large. I was disappointed to find I was one crab short and a couple of my crab were definitely not large. I wondered why they bagged everything up in the back and I never saw anything until they handed me the bag. Live crabs, once they were bagged, I wasn't going to open it up and count them...

Amazing seafood. Friendly and helpful staff. The location is out in the middle of nowhere but Crosby's very easy to find. There is a a lot of seafood options to suit your needs however prepare to pay a premium. $16 for a lbs of (really tastey) snowcrabs.

Just picked up 100 oysters yesterday for a thanksgiving oyster roast. These guys are the best and gave me great advice when asked. They are pros and their product is the best in the DC area. 30 min drive out of the city is worth it every time.

Great seafood selection and service. Their smoked salmon menu is also pretty good. Will cook your shrimp and crab, shuck your oysters, etc. Or...give you advice how to. They sell wine and six packs too. Most importantly...you just can't beat their shrimp lunch deal.

I have been eating crabs my whole life. Out of the dozens of places we have tried in the dmv, hands down this place has the best and most consistent quality blue crabs. Never a stinky dead one, never light and empty. I drive 45 min out of my way just to get my crab fix, and this place has yet to disappoint. Call ahead and they’re ready when you arrive. I will never get crabs anyplace else again. Their prices are fair considering every crab you get is a good one. I usually get L or XL (if I want to splurge), and some females for the yummy fat.

Amazing. Great prices and helpful. Never having been there before, I asked a lot of questions. I was never made to feel stupid and while I am sure my questions were answered a 1000 times a day, I never felt that. Really nice looking seafood and even better prices. I ordered a bushel or crabs. A gentleman, who was also a customer in the store, told me he was there for his first time as well and was saving at least $30 on his order of snow crabs over any other place. I will definately go again.

Quaint older white house with a picnic table out front. Looks like your typical hole in the wall gem. And it was!Needed a dozen steamed crabs on short notice for a birthday surprise. The crabs I got were ready quickly and seasoned perfectly. The young men behind desk were polite and helpful as was the woman on the phone who have me directions. They have other fresh fish available as well. Cheaper than in the city and closer than the Bay. Only a 45 minute drive from Fairfax area but so worth it. Try it!

Possibly the best crab cake sandwich I've ever had; the potato salad was pretty good too. I love the nautical decor and road-side stop atmosphere. I've passed by this place many times, riding my bicycle to the library, but haven't stopped until today, and I'm glad I did stop. If you like seafood, I would highly recommend grabbing some food at this place. Quality fish options, but not many choices in the way of drinks (mostly sodas and a few types of beer/wine).

Also, they will take orders over the phone.They welcome your questions about the seafood and products they sell. They will take your order by phone, and cook it per your request for an additional cost.

Best seafood spot in PW county. Great variety of seafood and everything is fresh. We generally get crabs and legs, and shrimp when we plan to host several people. They have limited side items to go with the seafood so be prepared to supplement your stop at Crosby's with a stop by another store for the side items.

It's more a seafood market then a lunch spot, but the crab cake sandwich and potato salad was good, but mostly come here for seafood you would like to go cook at home. The Shrimp Connection across the street has more options for lunch.

It's a great place to experience the local seafood cuisine. No white table cloth, no waitresses, walk in, pick out your fresh seafood, and then head to your car or eat at one of their picnic tables. We had a good experience, friendly help, and great food. Should we ever swing through the area again we would definitely stop for their seafood. I should note that we are RV'ers traveling through and was camping at the nearby Prince William RV campground.

I bought soft shells and sea scallops for Fathers Day and they were the best I've ever had. Went back last weekend for the blue crabs and and the XL males were amazing. I could only eat 4 of them they were so heavy. Totally worth the money, honestly!

The fish is amazing here! It's fresh (ish) and delicious. And the diver scallopes? YUM! The hubs and I were looking for fresh fish for some Florida strawberry salsa and bought swordfish first, and mahi mahi second. Both delicious and not fishy at all! The scallops were an inpulse buy and were SO delicious. I can't wait to try the crab or lobster next. Definitely keeping this place on the radar for some delicious seafood!

This place is awesome for seafood, crabs, muscles, shrimp. Usually have no issues. However, this time around my wife and I were making a seafood bake with all kinds of seafood, which we bought from Crosby's. We asked an employee of Crosby's to recommend a seasoning that was not spicy, wife doesn't do spicy. The female employee recommended one and $70 later we are at home cooking dinner. Can't wait to eat. Finally, wife tastes the bake before serving it. Well, she blows up mad and her mouth is on fire. The employee recommended NON SPICY seasoning was in FACT, SPICY. I loved it but it's not what we paid for nor thought it was per the employee. So, looks like a $70 dinner all to myself. Wife will not eat it. That seasoning is so spicy it made my lips tingle. Now, looks like it's off to find my wife something to eat that's not spicy. I'm dissatisfied with this place right now. Wife is mad and hungry, not good.

People who go here for seafood evidently have no idea how over priced and not used to quality seafood. We went, bought a 1/bushel of their biggest crabs which looked like giant hermit crabs in my opinion and the price was either $150, think it was or higher but got alot of small claws, small crabs. Should have went to Maryland and got a bushel of jumbo's for the $180. The seafood in this place looked wilted not fresh and I promise I'll never go back here.
