I think this is the most pedestrian location. If you're interested in watching drunken, Millennial professionals crowding the bar like salmon rushing upstream for annual mating have at it. The restaurant seated eating area is separated from the bar area. You can avoid being innundated with noise by sitting as far away from it as you can or outside. I think the food, menu and wait staff are terrific.

The restaurant ambiance is nice but service was not good and the food did not come out as expected. Was told Salmon will be cooked as medium which is perfect for me but when I got it, it was definitely over cooked! Pork chop was burnt outside, salty and lots of fats. My son's chicken finger came out and it was really thick, very greasy and it was still pink. My son took a couple of bites and that's it, he was making faces due to it very oily. Buffalo chicken wings were very tiny, I expected it to be the same size as Hooters Wings but it came in the same size as Dominos Pizza which does not fit knowing it was from Clyde's. I guess we came with high expectations. We should have gone to McCormick as we originally planned. I give it a 3 star mainly because of the ambiance. Our waiter never check on us and we had to wait for the first refill (the only refill we got). We would've wanted another refill but the 3rd time he came to us was to bring us the check.

Note: This rating pertains to service only. Otherwise the food was great. Was at this location yesterday, Sunday, March 10 for brunch. We had a 12:45 reservation. My friend got there ahead of me. When I was taken to the table, the waitress showed up moments after I sat down to bring my friend her drink that she had ordered prior to my arrival. Waitress dropped off drink and didn't bother to acknowledge me or ask if I wanted anything to drink. After several minutes, I flag her down to ask for an Ice Tea. Almost 15 minutes elapsed and she never brought my tea yet walked past my table to take 2 cups of coffee to the table behind us. I again ask her for my tea. A few minutes later she brings it and doesn't ask if I want a straw so I asked for a straw but she never brought one yet brought straws to a table nearby. I ordered a brunch item that did not include toast so I asked for a side order of toast. This same waitress drops off a plate of toast (which was only 1 slice and it was $2.75). Again, the waitress scoots off so fast after dropping off the toast so had to flag her down for jelly which took her several minutes to bring. Everything was an effort just to get basic service and courtesy from this waitress. By the time she came around to ask if I wanted a refill of Ice Tea I was already done with my meal. I've gone to this location since the 90's and have always had a good meal and good service but this waitress had major tude and made me feel I was imposing just to get what I ordered. Very rude waitress. Again, food was great but the service was lousy yesterday.

Food not so good and terrible service! After taking our orders, our waitress never once stopped by to check on us, she did not refresh our water or even acknowledge we were there even though she walked past our table plenty of times. She was rude when I asked her if they still served bread. She forcefully took our plates and made our group feel uncomfortable. Talked to the manager about her lack of service and he didn't seem to care. On top of bad service, my food arrived cold and it was sub par. Not worth the price! I would suggest new management. Clyde's is not like it used to be. We could use a better restaurant in Reston Town Center!

It's a very fancy restaurant and the menu is pretty simple. Ordered the ribeye but it wasn't completely to my satisfaction. Wasnt tender enough and they didnt have all the sides available. On top of that, the waiter was kind of slow in bringing our stuff.

Love Potion #9 was delicious! The Turkey sandwich was good, also. We liked the Rowing/Crew Memorabilia in the bar; it was the perfect setting for the Stonebridge HS Crew Team graduates among us. Great service, too!

The garden quinoa rice bowl was bland, tasteless unappetizing. Should have sent it back. Catfish was mediocre. Menu change wasn’t a good one- they used to have much better options. Won’t be back for a while.

Clyde's is a well-known spot but I'm not really sure why. The menu wasn't terribly exciting and the food itself was just okay considering how much it cost. The atmosphere was pleasant though. I would try it again in hopes that the food is better next time.

All the lamps on the tables are littered with dead gnats, food was cold, crab cake was mediocre, steak was fatty, and overall service was poor. If anything the drinks were good, but overpriced.. I was disappointed with this experience more so because of the price vs customer care.

Superb service...beautiful atmosphere and location.. Terrible Rueben sandwich!! It was microwaved..corned beef was so dry I had to remove it to eat the sandwich. The bread was very thick and I couldn’t find the cheese. It also had a hint of cinnamon..as did my burger a few months ago,. I didn’t complain this time..because the server was wonderful and my friend was having a lovely “visit “ with me. But I did a few months ago! Cinnamon in a burger and a Reuben??? I may not return for our monthly visit..though it’s such a great setting. So many other restaurants to choose from..

I asked them for food and a drink. (05/07/2019 at about 10:45) The bartender literally told me that my kind was not welcome to a drink. I'm not sure what that meant. I'm a heavy combat vet that's Asian and Hispanic. I'm not sure what I was to infer from that but I can only guess. All I know is that my brethren that bled and died with me for this country did not envision this. If you are patriotic or care about equality and America please do not give this racist bar your business.

Food is always good, consistent and you know what to expect. Only reason I'm not giving it a 5 is it's too noisy, people are almost yelling at one another to hear, that's consistent during any lunch hour. Otherwise, great place. Try the one in Ashburn, amazing space, food and service.

A great place, except, really loud. Parking is an issue now that they charge but NO CHARGES AFTER 5PM and you get 1 hour grace. Anyway, Clyde's remains a local classic.

The food here is great. I got the center cut pork chop and it was cooked prefect. It came with a bearnaise sauce that was remarkable and had a side of truffle mac and cheese. If you want a decadent meal, please go here. The service was ok, they were mostly attentive, but could have been better. There is a wide variety of beer to choose from, which is always welcomed. Overall, come here for some great food.

Went there for their annual Maine Lobster Feast. I do it every year. Unfortunately I don't go to Reston Town Ctr much at all since you have to pay to park and I pay to live in Reston....double dipping, my opinion.

Very cool little spot. The food was delicious! I had the Cuban burrito and the mix of flavors was amazing. Good quality meat as well. The people I was with had different sandwiches and they also said they were excellent. The service was friendly and it looks like they might play music in the evenings because they had a cool stage set up. I hope to go again soon.

I came here with my wife and daughter to dinner and for $82. It was not worth it at all. Go to Jackson’s or Silver Diner around the corner the food will be better and so will the service. The table across from us because they waited 20 minutes with no service, the next family had the same experience but the manager came over and offered to provide extra wine and apps to make up for it. Getting to food the it was just not good. It was overly salted heavy, on sauce, frozen then microwave pizza seriously lacking freshness. My daughter got kids pizza and normally devours pizza and fries but it was just not good. My wife got the sword fish and it seemed uncooked and lacking freshness. I got the pork chop and it just didn’t seem like it was cooked right... tough and heavy salt treatment. I also asked for a side salad it tasted as if it had been dressed and in the freezer all day not freshly made.

Long wait for brunch to be delivered. Coffee cake was delivered with lunch instead of before. Coffee ordered when lunch arrived took almost 25 minutes to be brought to the table. Manager said they were short handed. How does a restaurant this big end up short handed? Someone needs to plan better.

Upscale American restaurant with a charming, supper club kind of feel to it. The food is great and the portion sizes are much more reasonable than you usually find in dining these days. The restaurant is spacious and you don't feel like you're on top of the table next to you. Great for a nice dinner out with a significant other or some good friends!

Last night, they were basically hitting on all cylinders. Nice place, walked in, no line. Friendly host is got me seated right away and servers got me plugged in with water and took a beverage order. Server, Brittany, knew the menu inside-out and hooked me up with a veal chop and this corn and mushroom thing which was just delicious as well as a small salad to get the ball rolling. Guided me through the wine list, and plug me in to some blueberry pie which was the special last night. Everything was great except I left my credit card there, but they found it and I'll go pick it up in a little bit. The whole experience was fantastic except for the credit card which obviously was my fault. I was told that this place is something of a Washington-area institution, and if my experience is representative I can see why. I go back again in a second. Actually I might go again tonight.

Always a good place for a meeting or a quick lunch. Clyde's is a quality restaurant chain in the DMV area with good coffee, excellent seasonal dishes and fresh salads. Manager did take 50% off bill, but didn't make up for a terrible experience. I know why I never dine at Clyde's! Better options at RTC.

I was very very disappointed with there New Years event. I spent 200 dollars so my husband and I could attend a nice black tie event. Well the night was a bust. They did not enforce a dress code so we had people in our group go buy suits and people at the event were wearing jeans. They did not have enough servers so it took 15 minutes to even get a drink. Then to top it off they did not have enough food and ran out within a matter of minute. My husband and me were so disappointed that we left at 11 and went to drink at the hotel bar.

Models of airplanes and sailing ships an equestrian photos and items decorate this wonderful wood-paneled restaurant. You will always have an excellent meal with outstanding service! I have never had a bad meal there and I've done there since they opened! A great place for memorable celebrations!

My husband and friends had no reservation but we were seated immediately by friendly staff on a busy evening. I ate a gorgeous mussel appetizer. That was followed by a seafood course which was to die for. The manager, Fraser Hay, stopped by to assist the busy staff and was terrific. The best manager in any restaurant that we've frequented, hands down. So friendly and made my husband, and friends feel very special. Fraser Hay and the staff brought out dessert and lit a candle for my birthday and sang Happy Birthday to me. I loved that too. I've visited Clydes on many occasions and the staff are very knowledgeable and quick to help. The food is always changing for the seasons. The food is top notch! Thank you again. We will all be back.

I had the one plate that was supposed to be Italian dish with scallops, shrimp and muscles. For $18 I was brought a medium bowl of tomato purree sauce; it was very tasty, 3 muscle; they tasted weird, 3 very small and could tell were frozen shrimp, and 1 scallop that was cut up in 4 pieces. I never complained, but I did. I did get taken off the check and the manager did stop by and ask about it and was very apologetic. So there was that.

Clyde's used to be where to eat. Not anymore. The appetizers were cold, the steak was OK but not really worth the money. It has lost a step. Sadly it is one of the only patio restaurants that allow pets any more. And then there is the Reston parking tax. Go somewhere else.

Something for everyone on the menu, nice variety. We enjoyed the trout parmesan and the soft shell crab. Our dining party also enjoyed their steak and the salmon burger. The truffle mac and cheese was a little runny. But using shell pasta caught the sauce. Maryland crab soup was tasty with lots of vegetables. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and accommodating even bringing a sample of the soup for me to try before ordering. It is a bit high in the noise department, and it wasn't full. Otherwise a very pleasant dinner.

I went there last Saturday for dinner. The place was half full. The service was horrible. After we were seated, it took 5 to 10 minutes for the server to show up. We ordered cocktails it took another 15 minutes for him to come back with our drinks. I asked one of the hosts about the delay for cocktail WHILE WE WERE WAITING He said the place is packed and bartender is backed up. Then the rest of the service was the same more or less. The only good thing was the HOST who sat us and THE NY steak. The steak was awesome, tender and cooked to our request. The sword fish was bland and had no taste. You get better service at a fast food joint that you spend under $10.00. For a place that dinner for 2 runs around $200.00, you expect more.

Oh no not this place again. I thought I would give another try. I ate at this place yesterday. I had a hamburger, Wife had chicken sandwich, kid had mac and cheese. All got sick on the way home. And the time before was: Thanksgiving day 2015 and that was the worst I had ever had. Never again. Avoid this place food has never been any good. This place needs to hire good chiefs, the ones they have now do not know how to cook nor do they know how to pick a good meat. Please don't forget your stomach pump...

Went here for Father's Day. Service terrible. Food terrible. The waitress got my drink order wrong, the breakfast sausage order wrong, the cream didn't come out with the French toast, no refill on drinks, the service was so slow. It was so slow that another waitress came over to clear our plates, get boxes for us and ask for the check. If you're going to charge $6 for sausage at least get it right. To the waitress, worry less about your appearance and more about doing your job! I have to also add we ordered Dominos for dinner and had it delivered. The pizza arrived hotter than the food did to the table. Can you say room temperature?

Food was excellent. An interesting array of Brunch/ lunch choices...nice decor and ambience, if a little loud. Servings are not copious, but just right. I highly recommend the "Rice Bowl", Lobster Shepherd's Pie, and the Quiche. There are many more delicious choices. Make sure to make reservations!

An area institution that may have passed its prime. While you can't beat the location and the atmosphere remains upscale-cosy, this restaurant seems to be resting on its laurels and has begun taking short cuts. Small details like the quality of ingredients can significantly impact the entire meal. When canned vegetables are snuck into an omelette, or watery dressing is tossed into a salad, the overall effect is one of an icon who is aging with less than perfect grace.

The service was ok, but everything else was terrible. The food took a really long time to come and we didn't have access to the full menu because it was still the brunch menu at 2 pm. As someone who doesn't eat most meat except for chicken, there wasn't much I could order. Some people ordered pizza off of the kids menu because there weren't many vegetarian options. That pizza was very tiny and tasted very bland, most likely frozen and reheated. The chicken burger I ordered was very oily, tasted terrible, and cost 15 bucks. The drinks menu had mostly alcohol, so if you don't want that, you can have either water or a milkshake. There's no soda, lemonade, etc.
