This Fish Shop belongs to the category of American restaurant.
Love eating here! They have a great brunch spread and the hot chocolate is bomb!
I enjoyed the complete dinner and then a fruity short stack. Everything was delicious and the complete dinners are a great deal (soup/salad + entree+ ice cream) all for around $20. Great service and cute decor
If you love oatmeal, it's a must have! Absolutely delicious!
The Coffee Shop at Little America is a solid value for comfort food. I enjoy their turkey dinner. And their rolls are so good that I have ended a meal by eating a roll with jam, instead of ordering a dessert. But they tend to understaff to the point that even simple tasks take forever. On my last visit, I practically had to beg for water three times. Each time took several minutes, and for some reason the server kept only filling my small glass instead of replacing one of the four empty carafes at our table. Still, it’s nice to go to a restaurant where you know you’ll find a parking spot in the downtown area.
Great service and quality food
We used to LOVE coming to the Coffee Shop, but the last couple of times, the food was horrible, the service was worse, the prices too high. After 40 plus years, my family and I won't be coming back.
Gorgeous and Graceful. Great food and service.
Food was pretty good, wait staff was very nice, although the service was very slow- we had a big party which probably should have had 2 staff waiting on our table but didn't. When we'd ask for something it would be 20+ min before we got it (water refill, to go box etc...)
Loved the breakfast. The pancakes were amazing and so light and airy. Service was attentive and everything was organized and clean. Small wait on the weekends for brunch but not more than15 for a party of 3
Super good food, amazing service and nice place.
Amazing decor and ambience. Very good food and service. Highly recommended.
I love going to lunch or dinner here. The food is great and the rolls are the best. Parking is tricky though, their garage is always full and can be frustrating to find an open spot.
Delicious food great atmosphere good price under $20 you can eat breakfast here. The servers are professional and friendly. Great selection of items. I totally recommend this place go and give it a try you won't regret it.
Clean, good food, quick, pleasant atmosphere, kinda loud. Kinda pricey but the food is good & portions are filling
Good service and ok food. Could really benefit from a more seasonal menu though. It seems highly odd to be consuming a German style pork knuckle with mash and gravy at the height of summer.
Little America Cafe is always good food. You can trust the menu and the cooks in the back. Sometimes the service is 4 stars but never below and mostly 5. Likely due to turnover or the seasonal nature of cafe waitresses? Overall it is a 5 star experience.
Well, I have been here for 65 minutes and still no food. The customer service is terrible. Reaching over us, rarely checking in, no apologies or explanation. There are 10 people in our party, apparently they can't handle this. Absolutely the worst experience I have had at a restaurant in years.
Amazing American breakfast! Highly recommend going there for breakfast and just sit at the bar. Service was nice, have the mimosas coming.
Five star.. yummy food and great service
Came for a family birthday. We had 10 people and had reserved a private room and it was very nice. Great staff was very accommodating bringing our own cake. And the country fried steak was delicious.
this is my wife and my favorite place to eat in all of Utah food is yummy atmosphere as reminiscent of days gone by pleasant clean and tasty.
The specialty coffees are good. The house coffee isn't the greatest of all but the food is really good. It's clean and they have relaxing music playing in the back
Patio is nice, food cost too much
Excellent service and food! Great environment
We had a large group come there for breakfast, the waiter was very polite and helpful. The service was fast as well, all the food was warm, and very enjoyable. The pricing is around 11 dollars.
Plenty of tables, waited for a long time before leaving. I know the food has been good in the past but the service has gone down. Literally, there were 30 + open tables.
Sat outside on the patio on a. beautiful afternoon. Our food and service was wonderful!
Best prime rib, very reasonable price. Love the rolls and the service is wonderful.
Beautiful atmosphere, great service-quick and friendly. Delicious food at decent prices. Been going there for over 20 years. Rarely disappointed.
Been many times, great family memories. Always good quality and good people. Feels right.
They didnt have a drinks menu. Service was good, but more of a desserts placr than actual coffee shop.
Great service, delicious food and great specials!
The food is delicious. They have great service. They have a lovely atmosphere, very clean. Also, their waiters always seem to have a smile.
French toast was delicious!!! Made with thick French bread & warm syrup!!! My husband's classic Eggs Benedict were wonderful & perfectly cooked!!! Only problem was my seat must have had a child spill chocolate milk on the back of the outer cushion, seat facing the view of The Grand, where we were [are] staying!!!
Much more reasonable. Good portions. Decent food. Service a little slow.
Great Food and Service, relaxed seating on the patio.
Food is bland and overpriced. Validation they gave us for parking did not work. Bad experience. Do not go here.
Have had breakfast here several times and it's very good every time. The vegetable beef soup was the best I've ever had. Turkey dinner was outstanding as well. If a "coffee shop" venue bothers you go somewhere else. But if you want an outstanding meal, good service with a very good price come here.
Always good food for breakfast. I've eaten here numerous times. Friendly, helpful staff.
Service was good, we got seated quickly and received our drinks shortly after. We sat outside, which was clean and peaceful. Our waitress was observant and brought certain items out before we had a chance to request it. Our coffee never ran out before it was refilled again. Belgian waffle was really hearty and filling; the eggs Benedict was flavorful, although the eggs were a little too well done for my preference; the corned beef hash was good, but had an almost overpowering herb flavor.
Hard to find as it is in a hotel and google maps doesnt quite give perfect directions. Food was great staff was awesome.
I sat near a table with a delta employee, and I overheard them ask fo a discount, so I asked my server what kind of discounts they offer, and they said that delta employees get a 10% off. I then asked them what kind of discount the employees get(just out of curiosity) and to my shock they said 10%. Seriously? The employees who work so hard to provide good service only get 10%? Its absolutely disgusting that delta employees share the same discount with the restraunt employees who work hard from what I can see. TAKE CARE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES. Sucks to find out that one of my favorite places to eat can only give so little to their employees.
Good food. Not too many choices for kids for breakfast. Service friendly.
We love the little America coffee shop. Comfort food at its finest a great place to go for big events or nice family dinner. Good atmosphere good service in a great location near tracks and downtown venues. Fillet mignon and turkey dinner are awesome, their dinner rolls are the real deal.
Pretty nice coffee shop with decent prices. I waited to be seated as little longer than I'd have liked a couple of mornings when it was not busy, but that happens when it's early and staff is short
Decent but not very good
Probably our favorite restaurant in the valley. Consistently excellent!
The prices seem a little steep when looking at the menu, but the portions are positively huge - the pieces of french toast were probably at least an inch and a half thick. Even better, you got a solid amount of remarkably tasty food - good quality components with thoughtful seasonings. The aesthetic call-back to the coffee shops of old with the classic diner bar was a nice touch as well. The place seemed popular with locals, despite being a hotel restaurant.
Excellent! The coffee is good. The rolls are fluffy. The Little America burger was Premium. Wagyu, cooked perfectly. Fries, perfect. Garnish, perfect.
Super awesome dinner rolls and great service!
Best and great food. Highly recommended
The food is average diner food. The service was poor. The setting is excellent - especially if you sit outside. It's pricey but I wouldn't have minded if the service had been better.
Food is great but the menu could be a little bit larger. Also disagree with having to order food if you want to order drinks, the drinks are pricey enough. The wait is the worst part, each meal takes at least 30 minutes to arrive even when the restaurant is slow.
I loved this place. 6 days at a convention at the hotel and they have been bombarded with convention people but are always cheerful and nice. Food has been great
Food is excellent. Front desk people were tired
Don't exactly get the rave reviews about this place. It's very edible.
I really like this restaurant! My boyfriend and I ate here a couple of times for dinner during our stay and the service was great and the food was delicious! Although the menu isn't too extensive and contains your basic American fare-type food, I thought the flavoring and way the food was prepared was pretty impressive. It is also decently priced for the amount of food you are served and the quality. In fact, it was a bit of a struggle to actually venture outside of the hotel since such great food was provided in the Coffee Shop! I also liked that if you ordered one of the main entrees, it came with your choice of a side, unlimited rolls, and ice cream. Expect to be very full when you leave! The service and employees were outstanding, as is everyone who works in the Little America Hotel, and I loved how the waitresses and waiters were dressed. It gave off a very 50s, retro diner vibe, which I believe is fashioned based on the very first Coffee Shop restaurant in Wyoming. Anyway, it was cute and I very much dig the service, the food, and the general atmosphere of this restaurant.
Good food! Wouldn't really call it a coffee shop though. But great service!
The coffee shop was fabulous and let us reserve their private room. Our server was fabulous. The food was pretty good. I had the trout which was very flavorful. The mashed potatoes and dinner rolls are also great. The mac and cheese could use a little flavor.
Patty is the best server at the coffee shop request her
Excellent food! Excellent service! Highly recommend!
For many years this place has been a high quality, go to for so many people not just locally but to tourists from all over the world. It remains a jewel in a day and age where many companies sell out for profit at the expense of their customers, this place is a constant pleasure to experience. One of my favorite places to eat.
Great service, great staff. Food is amazing & very fresh & tasty. Everybody was clean & professional. I got a free donut without me asking for one. The waiters were attentive but not in my face. Very relaxing place & if u r on a budget u can have the soup of day in a cup without breaking the bank.
This place was ok but not great. If you really like classic American cusine (think carbs and more carbs) then you'll enjoy this place. On the plus side the wait staff was very friendly.
Food was excellent, price reasonable, setting perfect for a long lunch catching up with friends
I took my out of town guests there expecting to enjoy the atmosphere & to enjoy a good meal. The food was less than satisfactory & there wasn’t one vegetarian item on the holiday menu for my vegetarian friend to order... I was so embarrassed! And then to top off the bad food experience, our waitress charged us for an extra meal! Total waist of money & time! Never again!!!
We had an event at Little America and needed an order of 20 lunch items ready by a specific time. From the time of placing the order and the follow through with the pick up, everything was warm and ready to go at the time I needed it. Food was really good but I have to say the customer service is what will keep me coming back. Thank you ladies at the Coffee Shop!
Everything about this Coffee Shop was wonderful. The food very good. The service excellent. The atmosphere charming! Vert happy!
Always my first stop shop on my way into the office. A quiet place to have a business meeting or just to catch up. My drink was made well. Excellent recommendations from baristas.
Pretty good food. Pretty good service
The new year's day breakfast buffet is amazing. Love this place and the great memories made there.
Great breakfast, affordable prices. The omelettes are delicious. Potatoes were really good as well
Have been coming here since I was a kid! Now 42 years old I still come back nearly every time I am in Salt Lake. Their breakfast options are phenomenal! Perfect pancakes, thick bacon, perfectly prepared scrambled eggs! It was amazing! If you're looking for more of a lunch or dinner plate, I would highly recommend the Turkey Dinner... Or if you happen to drop in on a Sunday, get the Prime Rib!!! I've never been disappointed with anything I have ever ordered here!
Attractive, food excellent, fair prices.
OMG food is amazing, coffee is delicious and Jesse our server was exceptional, he is outgoing and just a wonderful, charismatic person, ask for him if you go, you won’t regret it.
We stayed at the hotel for Christmas. I had no idea how busy this place would be on Chry day. I feel like hotel guests should be able to make a reservation. They should have first priority. That is not the case. After I was told the wait would be "about an hour" I asked if we could go back to our room, and have someone call us when it was our turn. I was told no.. if we were not there, we would lose our spot.
NO CHEESEBURGER! I have been to the coffee shop numerous times, service is always good and food is good. I usually get the salmon with potatoes and it's always good. This time my wife and myself decided to try the cheeseburger and I will just say I strongly advise against it, the patty is loaded with grease. The bottom bun was so greasy it was soggy. It wasn't just mine it was my wifes also. Otherwise they have good dinner and breakfast.
One of the best breakfast places in SLC. High end affordable breakfast, not just for hotel guests. FOOD: 7/10. Simple, high quality, and hearty. Biscuits and Gravy has been my favorite dish so far. Wasatch Mountain Man was unique but not my favorite. ATMOSPHERE: 10/10. We go here for the atmosphere. It’s right in downtown SLC. Hotel lobby and hallways always nice. The hotel area has amazing chandlers, a huge comfy fire place, live flower arrangements, and original paintings of outdoor areas. The actual cafe feels like a 1950’s diner, love the bar area. The early 1900’s photographs of downtown SLC are worth the visit alone. Despite the higher end atmosphere, this place has been very kid friendly for our family. PRICE: 8/10. Reasonable. SERVICE: 9/10. Kind and accommodating.
Sunday is creamy chicken noodle soup day. It is fantastic and complemented with the incredible rolls makes a great meal.
We waited for an 1 1/2 for our food after ordering. The food was fine!
The ham was cold and dry, the eggs and potatoes were overcooked, the sausage looked like cardboard, and the service was slow(the place wasn't even half full). We were just visiting from out of town and will not be going back or recommending this place to anyone.
Good food, good service. Great environment
Went in 2017. I was the best breakfast ever!
Upscale coffee shop, food was good and as we had been driving all day we were really tired. But Liza or server was very upbeat and a joy to meet.
$160 ish per night. It doesn't come with a continental breakfast *gasp* FOR REAL??? Damn. The room we had makes me feel like it was designed by somebody's grandma. I attached a picture. You can see it and judge it for yourself if you don't believe me. The main building is a high tower (with nice hallways and stuff) but we didn't get a room in that tower. Instead we got a room in the section of the hotel that feels like a motel (with super low-ceiling and dingy looking hallways). So disappointing. But it is clean. It just looks dated. The amenities included an indoor pool and an outdoor pool with a jacuzzi plus a gym/exercise room. There's also a garden terrace. All of these of course are in the main tower. Us regular folks staying in the dingy part of the hotel had to walk for 5-10 mins to get there. Ugh, so annoying.
Service is great and the food is terrific! Great place to grab a quick bite or cup of coffee. Terrific coffee!
I have to say this coffee shop has the BEST ham and cheese omelette I have ever had (and that's saying a lot, I get omelettes whenever possible). Most breakfast items are served all day (just a few aren't available) and I'm SO happy I can get this any time of day. It's cooked to perfection and comes with very thin sliced potatoes and I cannot figure out what seasoning they use, but it's so flavorful and not just salty. And I love the blueberry muffins - they are more like a dessert. My mom always orders the turkey and stuffing and I dislike turkey in general, but their turkey is unlike any turkey I've had before - considering we go out to eat for Thanksgiving every year, I've tried many turkey samplings from very high-end restaurants and hotel restaurants and they have nothing on them. The servers are great as well!
Great restaurant. I've never stayed at the hotel but I've heard only good things. Had the steak with mash potatoes and salad it was pretty delicious
Have had breakfast here several times and it's very good every time. The vegetable beef soup was the best I've ever had. Turkey dinner was outstanding as well. If a "coffee shop" venue bothers you go somewhere else. But if you want an outstanding meal, good service with a very good price come here.
If you want to pay a hundred dollars for microwave food then it's a great place to go.
Great food, great service.
Foods fantastic especially the biscuits and gravy! Though when it's busy you may be waiting for your waiter for the check...
Best Food Ever!!!! Great prices
Beth was our server last evening at the lovely coffee shop. We were cold and hungry after being in the airport most of the day. She brought warm rolls to get us warmed up. Especially attentive to our needs. Polite and sociable. We were treated so special.
Person seating us was not in tune with anything we desired and wasn't very cordial. The food was ok, but well below the quality of past years. The waitress was exceptional and very polite.
Very friendly staff. Service good. Very good selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reasonably priced.
Nice,decent buffet.just walk in.no reservation needed.
Great cafe located in the Little America hotel. The menu is set and doesn't change. There is a variety of salads, sandwiches and substantial, hearty dishes from which to choose - like salmon and prime rib. There are also daily specials. The house-made dinner rolls are absolutely amazing! The service is usually good. There can be short wait times, especially on weekends.
The food was good. Inattentive, slow service.
Great food always. On Sunday make sure you have the creamy Chicken Noodle soup. Only served on Sunday but worth the weekly wait. Their turkey dinner is alway great. Never a bad meal here.
Nice meal staff were excellent no complaints
The food here is amazing. Try the roast Baron of beef or the turkey dinner. The turkey dinner is to die for. However, the service is terrible. That's why they get 4 instead of 5 stars. You never get refills and although their free bread is amazing you never get enough. Personally I blame the Mormons they are terrible tippers. That being said this place is my wife's favorite by far.
Super kid friendly! My kids are excited to go here every time! They love the penguin coloring. The food is delicious too..their salmon is my favorite!
Excellent food. Timely service; however seems as if the restaurant is a training place for servers.
This place has excellent ambience. The service here is fabulous. The food ranges from fine dining to comfort food. I have come here many times and have never been disappointed with any aspect of my experience. I highly recommend this place. (Our family loves their rolls so I had to snap a picture before they were gone. The other picture is of their vegetable barley soup, which was absolutely fabulous.)
This place has been here for decades. We went there over 40 years ago. The food is always good.
Built in 1952. Still the finest hotel and restaurant in Salt Lake City. Only exception would be Grand America Hotel.
The food is FABULOUS! Homemade and delicious, this dining gem of Salt Lake should not be missed. Every item was perfect at our table, and the biscuits and gravy are amazing. The service was prompt, but lacked a little warmth. The hot food made up for it.
We come here for big family dinners and they are always so nice and accomodating. They have a small private room that you can reserve (for a fee) or try your luck (for free). Good is always great.
Get the cheesecake. You'll thank me later!
Such good breakfast food. Tony is a wonderful server! This place has a really cozy atmosphere.
Loved the food and the service. And the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful especially flowers can the beautiful vase
This cafe is great for breakfast. Very friendly staff. Excellent food.
Excellent food and service. Ordered a veggie plate that was not on the menu for my daughters and our server didn't even hesitate. Beautifully delivered.
Very friendly staff. Home cooking / American comfort food type menu. Can be a little heavy on the salt. Good value for the money
Over priced. Good but not great
This is the cutest little coffee shop! I love the options they have. There is great variety to choose from and a great atmosphere here.
Absolutely lovely. Delicious food and great service.
I used to come for the turkey dinner and and now it’s all about the Roast Baron of Beef. This is a great place to take a client for lunch or the family for some summer patio dining in the evening. The staff has always been great and the food is delicious. They have a small but diverse menu and you should be able to find something for everyone. Top it off with some burnt almond fudge ice cream and you’ll be glad you did.
Coffee shop is great for a quick stop for coffee and pastries. It doesn't sell cold brew, which I've come to enjoy more than regularly brewed coffee. During the mornings, the lines can get long and the wait time can be more than you'd expect. The seats and tables are comfortable, and the overall feel is professional.
Great food, great service. They handled our convention well.
Good food in a downtown location. Prices are fair.
This may well be a Hidden Gem with The Travelers. But the locals absolutely love this fantastic place. There halibut and prime rib are to die for. All my kids love the turkey dinner. All food items are of high quality food. You always can get seconds or thirds on their magnificent rolls. It may be called a coffee shop but is more like fine dining.
Simply amazing food and great service, wonderful place for a nice date.
Great breakfast. A little difficult to find if you are unfamiliar with the area. Would definitely return.
Reasonable prices and decent quality for being a hotel restaurant. Cool vintage photos of SLC in the dining area. Service was acceptable but not great.
Place was okay. Service could be better. Stayed at Little America for our anniversary, the first 2 times we went to the coffee shop the service was very slow. But Jeanne was awesome one the last day we were there. Top service!!! Best server that I would recommend if she is working when I visit again.
Always warm and wonderful greeting - amazing food and ambience beyond most places! Love it! Happy to visit and look forward to going back - soon! Thanks to a great team - keep up the great effort!!
Had Thanksgiving Dinner here a couple of years ago when we had a last minute change of plans. It was excellent! And the line was much shorter than the buffet.
Excellent service, delicious meal.
Good food r3laced upscale atmosphere.
Best place for informal meetings!
The $20 buffet they have is amazing I have been there 3 times and the food is always great.
We treated our family to dinner at this refreshing family restaurant. It is a busy place this time of year, with the Christmas lights adorned all around the city, yet we had a party of 15 and were seated within 30 minutes. It is a family favorite to have the delicious homemade rolls, excellent salads with the blue cheese dressing and vinegarette . Thank you, to the great staff for making our dinner spectacular.
Great food and beautiful renovation that was done! Love that they brought the history in as the theme
Nice place to meet in salt lake, if you eat at the coffee shop they validate your parking.
The lunch buffett was about $20pp and there were many food selections. The food was tasty and fresh. Self parking is paid for but not that easy underground.
Nice place but not the best breakfast.
Great food, nice clean place.
Good food (club Sandwich) at a good price.
Wonderful as usual. We love going for birthday lunch with our friends. Have been going their together for over 30 years. Food always delicious and have daily specials. Even to celebrate one another birthday, a large piece of their special angel cake is serve toi the Birthday person.
Good food, but a little too pricey for what is offered. The server was kind but very slow. We had asked for a moment and were given almost 15 minutes of time to decide. Never was offered additional coffee until my cup had been empty for about 30 to 40 minutes. The discount afforded by the hotel for airline crews is only good for the guest who is the employee. Overall wouldn't be going back.
What a great restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was great.
Delightful, warm and cozy. Lovely rooms and great beds.
Great food in a clean environment. Great for lunch or dinner. Nice soft cozy chairs. My whole family loves this place!
Enjoyed my food! Atmosphere was nice.
Such friendly folks, good food with healthy options
Old world coffee shop with great food and service. I don't know many restaurants in town that have been around as long as this one. The staff here are incredibly professional and kind. They have some of the best breakfast you can get and they're not too expensive. Classy feel but with casual dining. They even have real silverware. Their mushroom soup on Saturdays is excellent. I took off a star because I've occasionally had a slightly dirty glass or fork (which they will replace if asked of course). Likely just something the dishwasher didn't get removed and is easily overlooked. Not a huge deal and definitely not something that should dissuade you from coming here.
They always treat well here and the food is like a home cooked meal. I love this place.
Fantastic breakfast and beverages. Lower quality service than we expected, hence 4 stars.
Best raspberry pie ever.
Relaxing yet a little upscale or better than chain coffee shops for sure. A lot of variety and I haven't seen anyone look disappointed. Biscuits could have a little melted butter on them.
The parking is no longer free at Little America which is ok as there is now plenty of parking. If you bring your parking ticket with you to the resturant or bar you are visiting, as a non-guest, of the hotel they will validate your parking. The food as always was great in the coffee shop and the navy bean soup I had today was thick and hardy with great flavor. The Little America coffee shop daily lunch specials are priced well for the quantity of food you receive. Don't forget to ask for a roll they are always served warm and fresh.
Food was good. I had the southwest omelet, while it could have used a bit more cheese, it tasted fresh and came at a fair price.
We walked over from our hotel, wish we had stayed here instead. We were seated right away. The menu for breakfast has many choices. We ordered and within 10 minites we had our food. Everything was fresh, hot and wonderful. Our waitress was kind and very timely with service. Highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast.
Definitely bring a jacket if you are going during the winter. They sat my family and I next to a window in the back and it was extremely cold. The food was great, i just am not into shivering while I am trying to cut meat.
Fast service and decent food. Coffee shop is a misnomer though, it is a sit down restaurant. Atmosphere is like if IHOP was super fancy and didn't serve breakfast all day
