REVIEWS OF Market Street Grill - South Jordan IN Utah

Honestly, I expected more. Market Street is supposed to be some of the best seafood in Utah (obviously not as good as you'd get on the coast), but it really didn't deliver that for me. The halibut was tough and dry, about the same as you'd get for less money at another restaurant. Maybe the fish you have is more fresh than other places, but if you don't cook it right then it really doesn't matter.

Michael Lopez

Great food and great service. A good fine dining location.

G. GIBBS

Always good. A bit over priced, but always good. Service is great.

Robert Arrington

The food is always prepared excellently. It is on the pricey side but I like to treat myself there once in awhile. The staff is always friendly with a smile and they'll bend over backwards to help you get what you want. The place is always spotless and very clean and I wouldn't doubt you could eat an egg off the floor. They've got a great variety of Seafood.

This place never disappoints! From their simple salads to their succulent seafood we always love our lunch and dinners. Oh, they have yummy brunch too! Some of our favorites include; salmon sandwich, clam chowder, crab & avocado sandwich, fish and chips, calamari and the salmon tacos. They also have really good cocktails! Make sure to check out their rewards points! Well worth it!

Mark Nosack

We had a large family gathering (28 people). The food was way overpriced and the service was slow. When the food arrived some was no longer hot and 2 people's food was overcooked. I wish we would have gone to Sizzler instead!!

Scott Akam

Good food with good service.

Annie Peterson

I'm not a huge fish eater, so I ordered the prime rib. It was delicious! Our waiter was great. It did take a while for the main course to come out.

Bradley Homer

Had a wonderful lunch with a friend that didn’t disappoint. We added the king crab to the soup and salad lunch. The clam chowder was fantastic. Lots of clam but chopped in a way that enabled you to get some in every bite. Salad with shrimp was great. The king crab was a treat. Every sweet bite was delicious.

If you love Seafood like I do then you will love this place. The quality isn't as good as it was 10 or so years ago, but still much better than Red Lobster. The service is friendly, and their specials are always good. I had wild salmon filet topped with crab, artichoke hearts, and bearnaise sauce. I prefer mine cooked medium rare and it was slightly overdone. Overall I recommend this place- absolutely wonderful Seafood :-)

Jeffrey Hess

Food was good, but way too expensive. The menu is hard to read, too.

Faith Thibault

Service was great! Being a New Englander I am a little particular of things called "New England" the chowder was okay but the New England fish & chips left little to be desired. All the other food of those I was with was good ~ but in New England fish and chips are bigger then 1/2 a Twinkie and aren't nearly so salty. I wanted to say "where's the cod" - like the old BK commercial "where's the beef".

Brent Butler

Stopped in for a fantastic lunch today. I’ve been to market street grill previously, but this was my first time at this location. It did not disappoint. We had a very good waiter who was also nice and knowledgeable. The food was excellent as I expected. I had a seafood Cobb salad, yum. Prices are above your average lunch, but every now and again you must treat yourself right.

Insomnia Katt

Was a bit meh. Broccoli was too salty, fish was overcooked and for a 30$ plate I had expected better quality. Service was decent though when I expressed my concerns there were insufficient compensation options in my opinion. With the excuse that they do their vegetables in large batches so most likely it would all be salty.

Neil

Went for family event, very surprised by how they catered to a huge group! Very accommodating and extremely kind! Gave my wife a free desert because of her smile—we’ll be going back often!

Claudia Rassier

I made reservations for 24, however we had 2 additional people show up for our mothers 96th birthday. I know that is a large table, however it took an hour for our food to come after it was ordered. The last 2 people came in 15 minutes late and they were given menus but no one asked to take their order until 45 minutes later after the food had been delivered. Food was cold, and not good at all. How disappointing. We spent a ton of money and as my brothers stated, the wine was the only good part. Too bad....

Steve

Group of 7 for lunch. Great service and food! Took a bit long to bring main course so we were happy we had the shrimp and calamari to tide us over. Lunch was a bit pricey but ambiance was nice! Great parking access too!

Russel Davies

Always a good bet. Great staff, great seafood! Highly recommend the San Francisco Cioppino.

Catherine Lantis

There food is always great. There service is awesome and every helpful.

Jonathan Baker

Got the earlybird special on a saturday evening and it was very delicious, and the price was reasonable. The fish and chips are very good, and I would definitely get the fries again! We don't go often, but when we do go we enjoy the food and the servers are very attentive.

MJ Brewer

My brother was in from California, so I knew a special place needed to dazzle him. Market Street Grill’s crab cakes were the perfect appetizer for delicious salmon portions. A glass of wine rounded out the perfect meal. Thank you, Cameron and Sana for creating the most incredible mealtime experience. Did I impress him? You bet he took away the best Utah experience.

Johnny Trepan

My wife and I both had the Salmon Louie. It comes on a salad bed with a couple of large asparagus sprigs and capers. The salad was nice and fresh. The salmon was overcooked. Not sure what to make of all of the pin bones in the small fillets. The server was trying hard to keep up but she obviously had too many tables because she was rushing to get food out. I asked for a vinaigrette dressing but got thousand island. I think the staff is too overworked or unorganized, I can't tell which. Thank God I had a gift card! It's a nice atmosphere and we have had good food and service in the past which is why they got 2 stars instead of 1. I'm not impressed this time.

Although the food was enjoyable, the service was poor. I took my mother out to lunch for her birthday with high expectations, as I’ve only heard great things about the South Jordan location. After the server brought our drinks, I asked for a straw. The server said in a condescending tone, “Do you really need a straw? We are trying to save the ocean.” I replied “I don’t need one but I would like one because I have sensitive teeth.” She said walking away, “Well let me know!” Definitely not the response I expected. I found it very odd considering several other tables had straws and there were PAPER STRAWS just a few feet away at the bar. The end of our experience is why I’m writing this review. She approached us before we were finished and said she is leaving now and needs to cash us out. I never in my 12 years of serving would rush a table to pay so I could end my shift. Extremely unprofessional. I’ll never leave less than a 20% tip because I get the job, but unfortunately we will never be back to the South Jordan location based on this experience.

Chelsea Yost

The food here was good - I don't like clam chowder, but I liked theirs! - but, let me tell you about the DESSERTS!! Oh, wow. We bought a carrot cake and a raspberry cream cake for a family gathering and couldn't pick a favorite. They were both So. Good. They were expensive, but worth every penny. If you eat here, be sure to save room for dessert!!

Adam Kaas

Great food! And good service! Just a bit over priced.

Staley Havili

Visited for brunch today. Food is great, but the overall experience was underwhelming. The front attendant Eva that greeted us today was very rude. She made sure she made us wait 45 minutes to get seated. Walked in to use the bathroom and there were 12-15 open tables. She made everyone wait 45 minutes no matter what. Besides Eva’s rudeness, the complimentary orange rolls were burnt. I have been to brunch at the other locations and never had a bad experience during brunch. The food was good though.

Denice Augustus

Service was super slow. A lot of people standing around chatting but were not helpful in customer service. Even after asking for help, still didn't get any. We waited about 15 mins before order was taken then had to wait for food all while on a 30 min lunch break. By the way, the restaurant was empty but about 20 peo ppl le standing around. Once I received my food, it looked like a kids meal for $20. So disappointing. If I were able to attach a pic I would.

Marcy M

We went to the Oyster Bar (21 or older), so this is more specific to that side of the business. We went in for a couple of drinks and some appetizers. We were in a hurry, and of course the food took forever. BTW don't order the artichoke, crab, spinach dip. Not good at all; way too much bread crumbs and cheap parmesan. Plus it's served with tortilla chips, and not their delicious sourdough bread (I guess they stole that from the Applebees menu

Leon Agudelo

Angie did really good but the kitchen was super slow for brunch on sunday. Recomend to speed up the kitchen process

Robert L

Delicious food, great service as expected.

Lisa Salsiesha

incredibly overpriced and when the staff is candid about this it is quite obvious that there is no justifiable reason for the upcharges! The dishes are bland at best and the environment is overly crowded and noisy. I honestly would recommend it if it were half the cost because the staff is so nice

Shane Tabrizi

I got the fish and chips and the clam chowder. Neither are traditional, but they were both pretty good. The service was a little slow this visit.

Justin Griffiths

Burnt coffee, bland, unseasoned, and overcooked seafood. Good and attentive wait staff.

E Morris

For the price, I'd spend it else where. Service could've been better as well.

Jason Claiborne

So this place is ok plenty to like plenty that can be improved. I suspect lots of the seafood was definitely frozen. The Calamari was chain restaurant if that and served cold. Oysters were OK but nothing worth the trip for. I ordered a filet and was disappointed for sure. It was over cooked and bland had I been there on my own and not with a vendor for a meeting I would probably sent it back. The crab i tried from a coworker was good the clam chowder was not to my liking and left unfinished.

Mary H Davidson

Ryan was our waiter! Top notch service. Food was great

Craig Watson

DINNER WAS EXCELLENT. AND OUR WAITER, TAYLOR, TOOK GREAT CARE OF US. HE WAS PLEASANT, FUNNY, AND MADE GREAT SUGGESTIONS FOR DINNER. HE MADE A GREAT WINE SUGGESTION. ASK FOR TAYLOR, WHEN YOU COME IN !!!

Mike Watson

Good food and service. High priced.

Joshua Dean

The soup and salad lunch special is an incredible deal!

Phil Stevens

The salmon and rainbow trout were very good. The filet mignon was nicely cooked but the flavor was only fine. Our server was very pleasant and the atmosphere was comfortable. The only real disappointment was the hostess who left us waiting for 10 minutes - apparently not passing on a request to our server after she said she would.

Ryan H

My go to for seafood and there oysters are the bomb. Good food isn’t cheap and cheap food isn’t good. So pick your poison and come do it right here.

Steel Warrior

Amazing good shrimp and crab

Tasha Poduska

Oh, this was so bad. I have friends visiting from Russia so I wanted to take them to a nice seafood place. We left after the appetizers. We ordered stuffed mushrooms with crab and crab cakes. The mushrooms were just a dish of greasy oil and no flavor. If there was crab in it, you couldn't taste it or tell. The crab cake was so dry and just had dry dough pressed into it. Expensive as hell and just the worst food we have ever had in the USA. Such a disappointment. We also didn't get any plates or hand towels that we asked for. Just don't go.

Tony Ortiz

Crab avocado sandwich awsome. Great service

Kraig Klauck-Lopez

Love Market Street! Amazing food and service. Beautiful restaurant.

Michaele Achong

Loved the stuffed mushrooms they are to die for!! Staff is very informative and have great personalities

Azelia Star

Best place in town for eggs Benedict. My only sadness is that they don't open until 11 for brunch and that's a little late at times for us. They have fresh orange juice and also give you complimentary orange Cinnamon rolls while you wait for your order to arrive. Their patio is gorgeous to sit out on. One location has a river to enjoy and another has a beautifully landscaped area to enjoy. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Tyler Gurnett

This place was fantastic. Great food and drinks. Great staff. Oyster Rockefeller is awesome

Anna Rial

Service was excellent. I could have made the same meal for my family at the same price. Way over priced.

Kevin Lawrence

Food is amazing. All dishes I tried.

Randy Dubyuz

Some of the good was amazing and flavorful. However the entrees were covered in some weird kind of coconut flavor ALL of the entrees were. The sword fish the grouper I think one of my friends even had a burger that had that flavor. Not sure why but it overwhelmed the flavor of all our meals when asking we were informed it was supposed to taste like that. If it is... Probably won't be going back. We spent almost 150 for two meals an app and some drinks. I would have hoped they would take the criticism a little better. Sever Taylor was amazing though 10/10 for that guy.

jessica Imperial

Amazing food and the best clam chowder soup! You must try the delicious chocolate cake with a scoop of Dreyer's vanilla ice cream!!!

Behnam Sadeghi

The service is excellent same as the dinner. If you are cheap like me go for early bird special from 5 to 7pm. You get a bowl of delicious clam chowder, one side item, fish or steak and a desert for $20.00.

The Blodgett's

Hate this location! Each time giving it "another chance" it just remains the same. SLOW and waiters/managers could care less! No matter what we asked for...more bread, another soda, or more water ...waiter never came through. Even the one that told us they were helping our waiter never came through. Took over an hour for appetizers (soup) and then another 45 minutes for food and still a waiter that never delivered on what was asked. Completely left to feel like we were forgotten. NEVER would happen at cottonwood heights location!

Matt Frisbie

Our server was incredible, like really incredible. He was funny, well educated with the menu and the specials. I was honestly going to just get fish and chips... All five of us ended up getting the Halibut that was on special and it literally blew our minds. I don't mind that the dish was swimming in butter, it was amazing. I've only had that good of service on other time in my life. And... They we're swamped, our server made the experience. We are coming back often!

Trenton Tanner

Great place to eat if you want something a little different better tasting and just all-around a better atmosphere. Milo was our waiter and did a fantastic job! Very friendly and super helpful we will be back for sure. thank you for making our anniversary a little more memorable! 10 years has flown by and the food at market Street is always right on point. Thank you.

Vince Munguia

The atmosphere is calming and our server was awesome. Not only did he serve us well he talked with us and made us feel welcome and comfortable.

Kathy Foster

It was amazing with an amazing waitress it is very fun to go there .

Ricardo Sanchez

Great had stuffed French Toast with Canadian Bacon Excellent Stuff with Cream Cheese Strawberry Jam & Orange Syrup delicious would Highly recommend.

Jessica Winkler

Great service, Heather was our server. Prompt, delicious food. Get there during the Crab Fest!

Mel McDonald

Heather was my waitress. She was amazing! However, the omelets were highly disappointing. They were burnt. Market street is far better than what we received today. * Edit * Catherine contacted someone I was with when this occurred. They talked in length about our experience and has made it right.

Brunch was great, I’d definitely recommend. Service was so so. I don’t think it’s very professional for a server to throw a straw at a customer.

Brian Baity

I don't know where to begin. The server dumped a full glass of water in my lap. He wiped up most of the water on the table and left us to sit in the water on the booth. Never offered to relocate us to a dry setting. The salmon on my early bird special was overcooked and dry. The side of brown rice was cold. The restaurant was no where near capacity at 5:30 pm yet it took 25 minutes to see our server after we finished eating so we sat with empty plates for that time. Our water glasses were empty most of the meal. We ordered a mussel appetizer which was supposed to have garlic in it. There were small pieces of what I would assume were garlic but the broth had little indication of any type flavor. Looking for something positive to say, the sourdough bread and the clam chowder were tasty. If I ever return, I think I would just order the chowder and bread.

Scott Carter

Great food and atmosphere. The staff was awesome!!!

Marcie Swenson

Usually great food. I’ve supported Market Street Grill, at several locations, for over 15 years. Most of the time the staff and food is great. Of course this is one of the best places in Utah to get fresh seafood. They are well known for their efforts to bring fresh seafood to the Salt Lake City area. I don’t know how long ago, but the owners started having fresh seafood flown in from the northeast daily. I heard that they made a deal with Delta Airlines to fly it in daily; although, they likely have some other arrangement now. I really like the history and longevity of Market Street Grill and I plan to support them for many years to come. By the way, they sometimes have $1.00 oyster happy hours. Serious $1.00!! They are definitely losing money to offer that kind of deal.

Debbi Macfarlane-Clayton

Sunday brunch can not be beat. so incredibly good. love the cinnamon rolls. the eggs Benedict was delicious and the side of salmon was fresh. Dont recommend the fresh OJ left a metallic taste. kids French toast was also great, with side of bacon and fruit.

John Lorz

Eggs Benedict are top notch!

William Mullins

Great place for brunch

Dian Harris-Tripp

Great atmosphere. Great food as well as location.

Kanlaya Cruz

The oysters we're pretty good. We got the special lobster bake, and the lobster meat were pretty chewy. The butter sauce/broth it was in was kinda bland so we had to add salt. But the corn on the cob was good. Overall everything was just okay.

Natalie Thomas

Love their brunch!! Our server was amazing and the food was delicious. I wouldn't spring the extra for the lobster or other meats on the eggs Benedict, it's not worth it, you don't get hardly any for the cost.

Kory Neider

Disappointed, Wasn't that good...food and service--Had halibut. May be just the night..

Terry Gurule

I do not know why I continue to go to this place habit I suppose I got food poisoning with lunch the other day after waiting 45 minutes for service I don't know how this company stays in business

Tim Card

Excellent place for Sunday Brunch. Very reasonable prices with a higher end dining experience. Orange juice with vodka is cheaper then regular O.J.

Jason Hill

Excellent lunch location! It wasn't very busy when we arrived, but it got crowded pretty quickly. Jenny was amazing! She took great care of us and we followed her recommendation for the off menu stuffed halibut meal. The chowder was terrific and all the food was hot and delicious. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 10,000 day wedding anniversary! Thank you!

Carlie Jordan

Always a pleasant experience at Market Street Grill. We love the crab and the drinks! Polite and knowledgable staff. Great patio to enjoy during nice weather.

Alejandro Ramos

Great food, service and value.

Anderson Strong

Had the lobster and king crab, crab was great, lobster was dry and rubbery, server couldn’t keep up, so we had to wait way longer then necessary Creme brûlée had no flavor, Sorry 3 stars for high prices average food.

Russ Brown

Easy to get to, good parking. Nice menu and daily specials. Good customer service.

Zachary Andrus

Best seafood in Utah! Great service, cool atmosphere. Try the Ahi tuna!

Betty Weldon

The halibut was delicious and cooked perfectly. The market salad was delicious, the clan chowder was also very good, a little pricey, and the server cleared out plates the instant we had our last bite, but okay since we were tired from a days driving.

Katie Reid

Great brunch at a really good price. They used to offer crab cakes with the eggs Benedict, and I was sad they took it iff the menu. But it was still very yummy.

Justin S Wilson

The foods good, but its so noisy in here you really cant enjoy your company. They sat us by the restroom, so contstant traffuc by our table.

Julian Miranda

Market Street Grill is a nice family place, although the prices I don't quite agree with for the service and food that we got. The saving grace was the food itself. The server seemed to be rushing us out, and sadly we weren't able to try the dessert. Overall it was okay.

Tabby Ali

The environment is very good. You usually have to wait for your number because it's really crowded. I had to wait for 30 minutes. Then you get your table and a waiter. The food is really good. Seafood lovers must try it out. I ordered three different types of fish and loved each one of it. Staff is nice.

Hugh Washburn

Great food and great service

Jamie N

Great brunch. Check prices on extras not on menu. Servers seem novice compared to quality of food served. :/

Heidi Coletti

My favorite dish here is the clam chowder. We usually come in once or twice a month to get it to go.

Maureen Botoman

This place is great for work lunches and dinners. Friendly service and good food.

david engineered

My family is hard to impress, they didnt like it but I enjoyed my steak sandwich on garlic bread and clam chowder. I guess they were looking to compare with other high end steak places we eat at regularly.

Hyde Pablo

Usually we enjoy Market Street Grill, but today I think Long John Silver's or Skippers would have been preferable. $26.50 for a plate of iceberg lettuce (supposed to be mixed greens) vinegarette (more oil than vinegar, and less flavor than paper) topped with flavorless crab and shrimp (which was tasty). This is known as the Market Street Salad. I could have gone to Zupa's and had a better salad for significantly cheaper. The restaurant wasn't busy, we got there when they opened, but we were rushed out by our waitress. She started clearing out plays before we were even close to finished, taking plates we were not finished with. Bringing our friends dessert half way through his meal. Mediocrity has invaded Market Street. Very dissatisfied.

Rick Judy

Great seafood and beer selections. No pressure staff.

Les Lynch

Honestly? Had reservations for 11:30 for brunch. The greeter was friendly and helpful. We were seated and waited 30 mins for just to get water. Let me say that tables were empty, hardly any one there. The waiter came, Miguel, was not very nice. Seemed like he was in a hurry to be somewhere else. Finally took our order. Another 30 mins later it arrived. Not once did our waiter check on us or let us know about the order. The food was good and prepared very well. Yet again we could not find our waiter to fill our drinks. Finally after our meal was done did I find someone who found our waiter to get us water. He filled one glass and then went to another table to fill theirs then came back to ours. Suffice to say our 2 and one half hour brunch was filled with nothing but waiting on our waiter. And I will not be going back

Steven Lindsley

Quick question: should you pay for your salad if you find hair in it? We found a short (possibly pubic) hair in my wife’s Caesar tonight. My crab cioppino, had no crab. 20 minute wait turned into 45. This place continues to go down hill year after year. The reward system is also a hoax as they make it impossible to redeem. Don’t know why I keep giving this place a chance. Posting hair salad photo on Yelp and in google photos. Waitress was a nice lady and deserves the only star above.

Randy Nelson

Fresh halibut was amazing. Always excellent service. And dessert was definitely worth saving room for.

Gary Craig

Slow service, waiter stood at our table while he counted his tip. Tacky!

hylan harper

Kelli was wonderful. Great suggestion on the Halibut fish n chips n shrimp. Best in Utah!! Not over breaded like others. I'll be back.

Kim S

We used to love Market Street Grill many years ago. It always had the best seafood and was usually packed. I've been there twice for lunch in the past 3 weeks and both times the service was extremely slow with hardly any customers (6 tables occupied). The first time we were seated in the restaurant section and the second time in the Oyster Bar. They have a much smaller menu now also and I'm just not that impressed. Prices seem to have increased considerably and most seafood entrees are now over $20. Two crab cakes were priced at $23.99 and we just couldn't justify ordering them at that price. I'm assuming they must have changed owners in the past few years because it is nothing like it used to be.

Quentin Rollins

At at the Oyster Bar tonight and had the worst steak, worst service I have ever had. I have eaten there over 50 times between Market Street and Oyster Bar and have had 2 bad experiences. Tonight I couldn't get my or anyones at my tables water filled up and then the waiter (fat and sweaty) was short and rude about me being slightly abrupt. Time for a new career I would say. I wont be going back to the Oyster bar ever and I am not sure I will return to Market Street either. So many good restaurants in this price range why waste you money on rude people that don't work for their income.

Becky Rogers

service was less than ideal today. We never received all of our order and we were ready to leave before we could find our server. Food was good otherwise.

Michael Potter

This truly is, the place. The seafood is amazing and my wife loves the stake.

izzy 706

Excellent seafood, with even better service.

Jeff Bunker

My wife and I love this place. Everything is always good and the service is great.

Dylan Tanner

Went here with family for my sisters graduation. The service and food were excellent. I started with the chowder before my main dish arrived. I had the Filet Medallions with Bearnaise sauce. There were some delicious pieces of crab in the dish as well. The chocolate cake is rich and delicious. Overall I had a wonderful experience....Until 7 hours later when I woke up in cold-sweats in the middle of the night with food poisoning. Lets just say I'm empty now and will not be finishing my leftovers.

Davey Walbeck

Best seafood in Utah without question

don little

Love Market Street Grill. We go in at 4PM for their Earlybird Special of Halibut Fish & Clips. Delicious!

Lynn Stevens

Brunch was good as usual, we prefer this one over the on in cottonwood Heights, even though we live real close to the cottonwood Heights restaurant.

Mallory Miller

Their clam chowder and house salad (creamy ceasar) are so delicious. I'm usually full before my entire comes but love the left overs. The chef specials have been delicious. Husband usually gets the fish and chips and loves them as well. Worth the wait and the price!

Brian Johnson

Great food. Their menu seems to be very salmon heavy (for fish options) the few times I have gone. My wife loves salmon but I don't. The food is always good and the service has been average to slightly above. I will return when our checkbook allows us too.

Hulita Tauteoli

Went there for Sunday Brunch. Prices were surprisingly inexpensive, great service.

Myrna Johnson

The oyster bar seems to be the better half of this locally well-regarded restaurant. The grill half was very, very loud where you have to shout to be heard by your dining companions. Seats are mostly banquettes in a half moon. Food wise, the side salads were overly dressed so that the generic lettuce was limp. The smoked salmon appetizer was not lox as I expected. It was a chunk of dry smoked salmon that was hard to cut. It wasn’t served with a spoon or small plates, which made eating it difficult. Mostly capers skittering across the table. I had the prix fixe wild salmon and chose the incredible sounding crab stuffed fresh salmon. Sadly it was $36 not well spent as it was not incredible. I assume given the not very good service, my plate sat under the heat lamp for some time, which caused it to dry out. The meat was dry, bland and surprisingly mushy tasting. Hard to do with dry salmon. Didn’t taste any crab. The mashed potatoes were dry. My dining partner had the clam chowder only. We shared the prix fixe included excellent creme brûlée though. Best part of the meal. My advice is oyster bar and the creme brûlée.

Phil M

Service, Halibut and clam chowder didn't disappoint, they were excellent. However, I had the rice and I get better at Panda. Crunchy and hard pieces were all through it. I expect fresh sides from such a nice place. This is a five star place in so many ways but I could only give it four. Devil's in the details.

Martha Liliana

Love this place, food is always good and staff is very friendly. I highly recommend it.

Shawn Eisenzimmer

Upscale fish and seafood. Love the early bird dinner specials but to this time had the blackened sturgeon instead. Excellently prepared and the grapefruit salsa was great. Service was excellent as usual and atmosphere was great.

Rad - Rick

Had a family Christmas Eve party for 20 guests, the service was outstanding, we didn't feel rushed even as they were closing early. Wonderful experience for our family. Only regret is I forgot and they didn't ask for my loyalty number for my points.

Tim & Joanne Frost

Always good food and service!

Erik Patterson

Consistently good seafood but be ready to pay a premium price. The service was good.

Makaela Meadows

food ok, atmosphere ok.

John

Walk in tonight ask for table. Was seated at a table crushed up to another table with no room for my wife and I. Ask the girl who seated us for another table. She replied it would be 20 minutes. There was at least 9 open tables. I ask for one of them and she said they were for other people. What other people NO one was there. We left and will never go back. A pathetic place.

Brittney W

We had a 7:15pm reservation. No one was in the waiting area, took 15 minutes to be seated. The waiter Will didn't come to the table for another 10+ minutes to greet us or get drinks. The service was very slow. Will never checked to see how our food was and if the steaks were cooked right. We were often sitting with empty drinks. I wouldn't recommend going here, very disappointed.

Gary Jackson

Atmosphere is decent, and a good location, but the service was poor, and the food suffered accordingly. If it had arrived hot, it probably would have been decent, but as it was, the fish was barely warm and tough. Chowder was good, though.

Kari L Miller

I love this place (when im sitting at the Bar that is) The bartender Gram is the best!! He knows my name & without looking at a menu he knows what i like to drink & how i like my steak cooked, only after ive been there about a handfull of times even! Service is great & the steak has never let me down so far!

CMH

Kinda medium for the price. The customer service is great!

Alissa Lenzinger

Great location, lots of parking and the best, most fresh, seafood in Salt Lake County! Delicious!

Lloyd Watt

Great, prompt service. Very hot clam chowder...big pieces of clams.

Sherilyn Brown

Pricey, but the food was fantastic and our waiter was awesome. I just returned from the California coast and the clam chowder couldn't compare to Market Street.

Stephanie B

This was my first visit to any Market Street Grill and I can't WAIT to go back! While the smell of fresh fish is slightly overwhelming at first, when you're led to your table it's no longer an issue. I was in a business party with 8 other colleagues and, while at times I felt rushed, our service was excellent. We scarcely had to ask for anything; our drinks were bottomless, bread plentiful, and all our orders were correct. An impressive feat (thank you, Chalon)! For those on a budget, like me, two words: PRIX FIXE. I promise you will not be disappointed. For $36.99 I started with clam chowder (not my favorite, but good) and my entrée of choice was the salmon stuffed with crab, artichokes, cream cheese and topped with Hollandaise sauce; a side of diced butternut squash and boiled potatoes... It was the kind of meal you'll remember with a tear in your eye. But wait! There's more! I also got the largest slice of 7-layer chocolate cake that you may want to eat in the privacy of your own home based on the elicit noises coming from around the table

Food usually is top notch, service is hit or miss. Manager cares, but overall timeliness can struggle when it gets busy. Definitely can scale better, especially for corner tables or areas with less foot traffic.

Fresh sea food in salt lake? Yes you can! I love this place.

Matteo Volponi

Great seafood. Very pricey though

Danielle Beckley

They have amazing food and service! It's well worth the price.

hughman flyman

Fish tacos were great.

Fish and fries (because they're not English chips) were okay. Just not a big portion. The salmon and fries were good, a better sized portion. The service took a while and it seemed everyone was eating long before we were served.

Got there at 7pm food didn’t get served until 9pm for it to be cold and tasteless 50 bucks for 1 crab leg and empty clams in tomato sauce then I get ask if I have frequent diners card. Lol

The seafood here was good. The hot crab and Spinach did was very good with the bread crumbs on top. Their special that night was a ginger teriyaki swordfish. I had never had swordfish before but it was very good and I would recommend it to anyone. The texture is a bit tougher than most fish I had but I actually appreciated that. Their was salmon was quite good as well. Considering that they call themselves a seafood market they had good options available but I expected a bit of a larger selection.

Jorge Adrian Gonzalez Aguirre

Amazing food and they are very accommodating with Gluten Free options.

Jessica Barber

Best food and service in the business! Never a bad experience, and always treated like family!

Winn Dixie

The beef ribs were blah. The chowder is top stuff for UT. The steak is so so. Service will be a long long event 1.5 + hrs min. Lunch is too slow to go there in person anymore. Dinner add another 30 min. This slow service is pretty consistent for the past 3 years I've been going to this location. No matter the time of day.

They have such a lovely staff who are friendly and helpful every time we go. They have good clam chowder, and their fish tacos (lunch only, I think) are delightful! The tacos are served with an awesome salsa verde. It's one of my favorites. I highly recommend this place, as it is reliably good, except in one arena. They sometimes have inferior shrimp cocktails. It's possible I'm overly picky with that, but there have been a couple of occasions that I've refused to eat that. The other guests in our group didn't seem to think anything was up with it though, so maybe I'm just off on judging that. Regardless, that is the only thing I've ever passed on there. The seafood and steak are always perfectly prepared, the sides are good, and it's a fun place to meet with a group or have a nice romantic night out. Expect to spend a while here, as it is not a rushed experience. Oh! And try the creme brulee!

Amazing food! The only place in Utah with fresh seafood that I am aware of. We took advantage of the $6.99 brunch they are having for a limited time. Super tasty!

I have been going to Market Street for a long time!! Lately the service is VERY SLOW and customer service is horrible.. DO NOT sit at the bar you won't get service and the bartender will walk past you several times and not take your order.. Sat at the bar for about 30 minutes and our food order was not taken at all.. It’s pretty sad because Market Street brunch is really good but with that kind of service I won’t be coming back for a while.. Train your staff on better customer service..

Chad Atkinson

We've been there a lot. Food has been good. The last few times, they had issues getting our order right but have come back and taken the meals that were wrong off the bill. Overall we've had a good experience.

Skyler Elwood

Service took really long time, food is amazing though!

Very Good food, meager portions, great service, high prices, wonderful ambience. If they would actually give you food portions were you are not hungry when you leave it would be 5 stars.

Randi Wilson

Wonderful Sunday brunch! $6.99 for Eggs Benedict with orange cinnamon rolls and Market Street potatoes! $3 screwdrivers! They also have $12.99 lunch specials every day of the week (except Sundays, because....brunch, duh!)

Dewayne Fox

I have been to Market Street Grill for lunch many times and it was always very good. But I went to dinner a short time ago, and I was surprised, my dinner was barely OK. Not sure why, because Salmon is not a hard food to prepare.

Donald House

We've been going to market street grill(downtown & cottonwood) for many years. Within the last year we've been going to the South Jordan location. The food and atmosphere is great as well. Our only disappointment would be with the slower service. However we continue to go because of the location.

There are not many very good fish restaurants in Utah. This is one of the few. For a lighter meal I like the fish tacos and for a more complete meal, the stuffed halibut is very good. This place can be very busy but the food is always fresh and top notch. It makes for a good business lunch or night out.

William Arbus

Implacably bad customer service. Arrived 10 minutes to 4 (not knowing they open at 4pm) and was greeted with impertinence. They took our name and seated us at 4:05 asking if we wanted drinks. I asked for an Ice Tea and was told my server would be with us shortly. Plenty of wait staff standing around but no one ever came to wait on us. After a half hour of sitting at the table patiently, got up and left.

Alan Walbeck

Expensive place to eat average food.

Taeler Short

Service was pretty slow for the amount of people dining. If you don't like fish - This is not a lunch stop for you. dinner may have other meat options, but it was hard to avoid fish at lunch time. not impressed.

Justin Evans

Good food! It is pricey depending on your budget.

Steve G

USED TO BE the best place in Utah for a good consistent dinner. The clam chowder had never let me down on a cold rainy day until my last visit. I don't know what has changed but it just isn't worth the price for the now mediocre food when there are so many Red Lobster's that serve equal quality seafood.

Melanie Johnson

Fresh seafood, great service and relaxing atmosphere

Sariah Runnells

Best prime rib in South Jordan. Upgrade to the au graten potatoes - worth it.

Gordon Fralick

For the price, I would think the food should be better. We were a large group and it was crowded, keep that in mind. The shrimp cocktail was amazing! I ordered prime rib medium rare and it was tough and over cooked. In my group, there were a few things sent back to get it cooked right.

Joshua Thomas

I'm not a huge fan of Market Street grill. I usually go once a year because I earn a gift card at work. The food is good but for the price, I feel like I should get more; either better portions, better service or an overall better dining experience. We once again received none of this. The bill for the 2 of us was over $100. As I compare Market Street to Cheesecake Factory (which I consider of similar calibur), I definitely feel that cheesecake is a much better experience/value for the money. Anyway, Market Street is a little disappointing for me.

Tim Gibson

Great food, nice atmosphere, a bit pricey but worth it.
