Not much of a variaty. Just a bunch of koi, plecos, chichleds and snails for the most part. No salt water tanks/supplies. Only fresh water. Hole in the wall kinda place. Dirty/messy.

Can you say Cichlids and Cichlids. Best selection in all of DFW and the knowledge to back it up. We did a 2 day 15 store tour and he had more variety of Cichlids than anywhere. Lots of interesting fish too. If you are looking for a deal on a used tank and or stand, this is the place. A little elbow grease to clean them up will save you hundreds $.

Most diverse and healthiest selection of freshwater fish I have seen in DFW. Numerous tanks and not a single casualty in sight. Incredible selection of cichlids, tanks full of tetras, and numerous neocaridina (and other shrimp). They had an entire tank full of corydoras habrosus which I've been searching for in Dallas for over a month. The owners/employees were friendly and helpful.

Actually really surprised at the amount of good reviews. Not sure if we caught it on an off day or what but we were not impressed. As soon as we walked in the store there was an overwhelming, horrid smell. I know it it a fish store but we’ve been in plenty and this one was pretty bad. The store was pretty small. There were 3 other customers there that day and we could hardly walk down the same aisle as other people. Also, the quality of the tanks were poor to say the least. I spotted a couple of dead fish and others that looked sickly. The water seems really dirty. They did have a pretty good selection but I would be scared to introduce any of the fish into my home aquarium. The staff were nice but not sure that we will be back.

Love this place. Great owners and great employees and also great fish to look at. They always have some awesome fish. Go check out there monster size fish. They care about each one of their customers and makes sure each one is happy with the fish they receive. This 2 of the Angel's I bought from them a while back, they are doing great and growing fast. I have many more fish from here but these are 2 of my wifes favorite. Do not go to a certain store in west Fort Worth they mislabeled their fish and they wont help you even if a fish does 2 hours of within you buying it.

It seems to be a family owned business, they are always kind and really knowledgeable, you'll see their tanks with no dead fish on them so they take really good care of their system and water parameters. Ever since I got a tank at my office, I've been setting up tanks for coworkers and I guarantee that Texas Aquatics is the place to go. The only guys around with different species of shrimps if you are also into freshwater invertebrates

I went here on Saturday, rude people I walked in and said hi nobody said nothing back to me I got 3 fishes one has fin rot and one has a Popeye it can't see from it and it's going to die soon. The check out big white lady is the one who is really rude I said "thank you have a good day" and she didn't even care she didn't say nothing back!!

Really cool place to get awesome fish and shrimp. My biggest complaint is some of the shrimp are mixed up in wrong tanks and have interbred, resulting in naturals polluting the pure lines. But other than that awesome place! They haven't put up their sign yet in the new building, so just know you have to look for the sign in the window.

Awesome owners, great selection of livestock in the tanks and they actually take care of their repeat customers and seemed to actually enjoy informing their customers about care and maintenance of different types of fish. Its a 40 min drive to this store. I have another local fish store 15 mins from my home. The other place can't compete with Texas Aquatics quality or customer service. This is the reason I have no problem driving 30 mins farther to get better quality and service.

Fish I got here were already sick. Wanted to return them and the lady gave me store credit worth 10% of what I paid. Probably won’t be coming back. I suggest finding a place with better customer service and fish quality. UPDATE: The fish here have ICH and DROPSY already. My tank was doing fine before I introduced the fish I bought here (should have quarantined) and now there is a breakout of ich. I have to now go through the process of cleaning and getting rid of it.

I don't normally give reviews but I think this store needed one. The biggest concern was some of the tanks looked unhealthy and the smell of the store. You should not have a bad odor coming from fish tanks. The staff was very friendly. I bought two molly fish that looked healthy and one died before the 20 minute ride home. We were very careful with the bag and did not let any direct sunlight hit the bag.

I stopped by for the first time last Sunday and I really like the place. It has the old school mom & pop fish store look to it. They seemed to have a lot of angels, cichlids, barbs, and oddball puffers, badis, knifefish, etc. They seemed to be a little light on tetra varieties though. I'm cycling a 100 gallon tank right now so I'll be back in to visit soon.

Prices are the best in the metro-mess area and the fish stock is varied They always have some unique and funky aquatic critters to help you keep your tanks evolving and interesting to grow. The owner of the store is very informational and helpful. The store may look small, inside the store there are rare fish. Believe me you'll be surprised. I asked her for afvicr on how to clean a saltwater tank to convert it into a freshwater tank bv I haf a pH spike so she gave me very specific and helpful advice. The owners are very nice and friendly. They have a great variety of fish at good prices. However, I noticed that there were a lot of sick fish the times I’ve visited here. Lots of fish with ich, what seemed to be body flukes and large ulcers, some fish with dropsy, and shrimp with internal parasitic worms. Even their plants looked unhealthy. Not sure if this is the norm for them or not, but was honestly saddened by the amount of sick fish.

Don't let the way this place looks fool you. These people know their fish and care for them well. Good prices too. This is mainly just a fish only store. Not many fish accessories. Just fyi. These are the nicest "fish" people I have ever met. I plan to do a lot of business here and I live in Grand Prairie. So that should tell you how much I like this store!!
