BEWARE: The staff are friendly enough, but they will not give you sound advice! I've seen them sell multiple Pleco's for a customer who asked about how many to buy for a 55gallon tank, as well as selling fish together that shouldn't be. Seems to me that the main guy in the tank room just wants to sell as much as possible. KNOW WHAT YOU WANT BEFORE YOU GO... don't rely on their advice!!! Other than that... great selection. Healthy fish. Good prices. It's still my go to fish store.

Prices are good and all customer service absolutely horrible there a heavy set guy that works there and gets mad when you ask him for help because he is to busy watching videos on his phone I spent 57.52 there yesterday on fish and 4 died this am so I called and they don't want to replace them it hasn't even been a full 24 hours which is rediculous I will never be returning also as I was trying to show the guy what fish I wanted and was asking question about what fish I can put in the tank he rudely say you wanna just look around I don't know its up to you I kinda felt uncomfortable asking anything everyone else was nice tho so I still spent money my main thing is they don't want to replace the fish and its been less than 24 hours that's not right

Look, the store seems a little run down, but don't let that put you off. My aunt was buying fish at the store in the 1950s. At least, that's what she told me. You can get good prices on good fish here, as opposed to places like Petco, with much higher prices. I have never gotten a disease unleashed in my fish tanks from the fish at this store. Their live freshwater plants are very nice -- WAY cheaper than places like Petco. The variety of freshwater fish is quite excellent. Their prices on tanks are very competitive. I think it's the best fish store in San Antonio.

Absolutely love this store. I really wish I lived closer, it's about an hour drive for me, but when it comes to fish and fish needs I make the trip. They have a massive selection of fish and all the tanks are very well cleaned and taken care of. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. They have a large selection of tank supplies with some of the lowest prices. Really the best fish store I have been too. Highly recommended.

The fish selection here is great, they have a wide selection and the fish all appear to be healthy. They have a decent tank selection and some cute decor stuff as well. Most of the staff are friendly, but there are a couple that just are plain unapproachable and not very friendly. Not necessarily rude, but still staff should be welcoming and polite to customers. It's also a little hard to tell who is a staff member sometimes as they have no name tags or uniforms, which is fine but on a busy day it is confusing. Overall, I enjoy this store a lot, it's just those few staff members that keep me from giving this five stars.

The best full variety fish store in San Antonio. I've visited them all and this is the one I go back to most frequently. Pros: -Great selection of fish, and supplementary products. -Friendly staff that is quick to assist you. Can tell they do what they love. -Good selection of hardscape and props. -Prices are low. -Water not shared limiting potential disease from spreading. -Responsible, but not pretentious environment. Cons: -Live plant selection is limited and of poor quality. -Bettas stored in the standard fashion of too small containers. -Hours could be better Neutral : -Old store being good or bad is a matter of perspective. Can be sure they are experienced, but knowledge may be out of date in some areas. Store is well kept, but age shows.

Nice big store with just about everything you could possibly want/ need for your fish. They have chemicals to treat water, filters, lights, all that good stuff and they have a good selection of freshwater and saltwater fish as well as shrimp, crayfish. The people I talked to there were nice and answered some questions I had about snails. I got a panda butterfly goldfish, pearlscale, 2 corys and a mystery snail. The quality of fish from what i saw were above average, they have good quality saltwater fish but one of the pandas that i picked from had a deformity, one that should of made the fish be culled as a fry so I'm not sure if they raise or if they buy or what their inspection process is. Like any place you go, do your own visual inspection before buying. I have gone a few fish stores since moving to San Antonio and i think this will be my main store.

Very wide selection of fish. The owners care you can tell by what is floating at the top and this is one of the few fish stores I've seen that have not had any dead fish in tanks while walking around. I was just in the price equipment and inquire about making a tank setup. Owners/workers are very knowledgable. My only complaint is it could be cleaned up in the back but don't let that deter you from shopping.

This little gem of a fish shop is a bit hidden in San Antonio but it's totally worth it to stop in. They always have a good selection of invertebrates and micro fish which I love to keep! They always have high quality Crayfish and a wide selection of neocaradina shrimp. You can also purchase bigger fish like rope fish, various loaches and even baby Pacu at an affordable price. They carry everything a normal pet shop would but with way more variety! Lots of different tetras and Barb's not just neons lol. They have slate and live rock for decor in back with all the goldfish and koi. And a small selection of saltwater though I have not looked closely at what they keep. My absolute favorite thing about this place is the ridiculously beautiful display tanks they keep set up. I'll stop in just too look.

Looks can be deceiving. This place is great. All the tanks are well kept and clean, and their fish selection is great. If you're looking for supplies, I.E conditioners, food, filters, heaters...they have a wider selection than the big box stores, in a more condensed package, at a better price. I went there for Neocardania's (Little shrimp) and they're the only place within a 3 hour drive from me that stocks colors other than red. To give you an idea on price, the shrimp I bought 5 for $15, totaling $45 for my purchase. Go to another store, and you're looking at $7 a shrimp. My purchase would have been $105 elsewhere with a worse selection of colors. I'll definitely be shopping here whenever I'm in San Antonio.
