The Loveless Cafe NEVER disappoints! Rachel (our server) was amazing. I had the meatloaf and it was awesome. Other folks at my table had the chicken fried chicken and the quarter chicken. Equally terrific! And of course...the biscuits and preserves were FABULOUS! If you are traveling to Nashville you cannot miss going to The Loveless Cafe!

Randy Endsley

5 for food and service. The wait was 1.5 hours but it was lunch time on a Saturday..... Just says how good & popular they are. Food was spectacular.

Katie Jacobs

Fun place to eat and pick up gifts/ souvenirs. You can buy their biscuit mix and jams to take home.

Louis Wofford

A little too popular for its own good We arrived at 10:30 on a Saturday morning, hoping to have brunch, but there was an hour and forty minute wait... So we went elsewhere.

Jacquelyn Dempsey

Cant say enough about the food and service at this restaurant! Wish I could eat here every day. We got a couple of main dishes and a bunch of sides to share with the table and absolutely everything was amazing! Our waitress delivered each item with a smile! They even had a little gift shop where we could buy souvenirs, including some of their biscuit mix (which the biscuits were the best we had in Nashville).

Refreshing! The biscuits reminded my husband of when he grew up. They are the perfect size. I'm not a biscuit person. These biscuits are great. Great preserves, coffee, Rachel was our waitress and she was wonderful. The Southern sampler great and Country Fried steak "Big" and good!

Kathleen Johnson

It's very well known but for good reasons, food is consistently excellent as is the service. You start with a plate of small perfectly made biscuits with homemade preserves, strawberry, blackberry and peach. You could literally fill up on them. The perfect sweetness of the preserves balanced the warm yeasty biscuits which are fluffy and soft, not crumbly or dry. I ordered the sampler with fried chicken, fried catfish and pulled pork. My sides were creamed corn and hashbrown casserole. Everything was cooked perfectly and had wonderful flavors. The chicken was crispy and juicy inside with a good flavor to the breading. The fried catfish was tender with a crispy coating of cornmeal. The pulled pork was tender and smoky with drizzled bbq sauce atop it. This plate could easily be shared by more than one person, so come hungry! The creamed corn had a creamy close to cake like binder and was just sweet enough. The hash brown casserole was creamy and cheesy, really the best I've eaten (Cracker Barrel's pales in comparison-sorry). There was no room for dessert for anyone in my party thanks to the generous portions. If the review has you dying to try their food, you may be in luck as some sides can be ordered through their website as well as their biscuit mix, preserves and other offerings.

My wife & I had the Boneless Smoked Pork Chops. They were delicious. If you have food allergies, tell your server. A manager will come to your table and converse with the affected person about which items are okay and which to avoid. Expect a 90-120 minute wait on weekends. After checking in you can drive the North end of the Natchez Trace which is beautiful. Enjoy not rushing (40 mph) and watching for cyclists.

Jeff Calvert

Great home cooked meal in a like home setting. We walked in without reservations and waited for a short 45 minutes. There is plenty of shopping and walking around to do and you have a buzzer to let you know when your table is ready. You are served with warm complementary biscuits when you sit at your table. The service is friendly and attentive. Large portions and solid home cooked flavors.

peter robinson

Took a leisurely drive out to Loveless today for lunch. We had made reservations so only 5 minute wait. Food was delicious and plentiful ! Great biscuits with home made preserves. The fried chicken was excellent...crisp on the outside and juicy tender on the inside...mashed potatoes with gravy and mac and cheese sides delicious too. Service was fast and friendly !

Love the Loveless! A Nashville landmark at its best. Always bring out of town guests for the real southern cooking. From the country breakfast, to the meat and three, don't forget the dessert.. Stop by the gift shops for more than souvenirs, ham, jam, and biscuits mix for the road.

Bryan Pittman

Great southern food. Had the supper sampler, Catfish, meat loaf and pull pork. Loved the has brown casserole and creamed corn. Great place

Jennifer Wilson

One of the cutest places! Amazing food and very kind staff! Highly recommend !

Robert Harris

It was a nice experience. The restaurant is clean, the food was good, not great, but good. Everyone should go once.

My nephew recommended the Loveless Cafe to us. We really enjoyed our visit there. There's several shops and a local artists gallery to look through while you are there. My husband ordered the honey basted fried chicken. I had the pulled pork platter. We both had hash brown casserole as a side. He also had fried okra, and I had the green beans. Our food was very good, and the portions very generous. We saved room for dessert. I had the fudge pie and my husband had the peach and blueberry pie. Neither one of us was disappointed. We did have quite a long wait to be seated--over an hour. But we were there on a Saturday afternoon. However, once we were seated, our food arrived very quickly, and our server was very attentive. You may want to plan your visit there at a less busy time. The Loveless Cafe has some distinctive and unusual folk art hanging on the walls. Take time to look around and admire the paintings while you are enjoying your meal.

Michael Baxter

This place serves up generous portions of genuine Southern home cooked food. This was my first visit, so I was not aware of the large serving sizes. The bbq pulled pork that I ordered was very tender and moist and was served over corn bread flat cakes that were quite tasty, too. The pinto beans and green beans were properly cooked and tasted good. The homemade biscuits and preserves served before and during dinner were quite delicious. Highly recommended.

Lea Mullis

Try any Cracker Barrel instead. Probably need to stick more closely to their recipes for the volume of people they are trying to draw in. The day I was there, I was served the worst turnip greens I have ever eaten. Better food means better memories.

David Potts

Really nice place. Great restaurent with a shop selling homemade foods and there a motel as well . The food in the restaurent is good old southern cooking. The staff are great . You do need to book in advance as it is very popular.

Robert Gresham

First time visiting Loveless Cafe and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the "Southern Sample Breakfast" and EVERYTHING was delicious. The service was much quicker than I expected for a packed restaurant, but expect a lengthy wait time to be seated. After receiving our food, the manager/owner came to the table and made sure that the meal was satisfactory.. Overall, it was a great experience and the next time that I visit Nashville, I will be back!

Erica Baravik-Munsell

Oh the biscuits and hash brown casserole! Really, everything on the menu is super tasty, especially the desserts. Our family used to make a day trip up the Natchez Trace from North Mississippi just to eat here (then drive straight back home). Now that we live in Nashville, we get Loveless food to go every time we have overnight visitors. It's a must!

Alfred Morin

One of the most interesting places in Nashville. Actually a few miles west of the city but worth the trip. My wife and I go a couple times each month. Fried chicken, country ham, meat loaf, pulled pork plus breakfast all day. All made from scratch. Weekends you have to wait a while. Don't take reservations. Place is part of the lore of Nashville. Lots of country artists go here. And don't forget the home made biscuits and preserves. Their general store is also an interesting place. You'll love it.

Shuffle Shuffle

Nice little care with the big reputation. I'm told it's rated the best breakfast so went. Reservations are suggested for breakfast but we got there around 12:30 and were seated immediately. We all got breakfast except one who had a pork sandwich. They serve their homemade biscuits first. They're light and airy and warm, served with their homemade jams. They are all delicious. The pancakes were a bit dense but soaked up the syrup nicely. The bacon was crisp, the way I like it. The French toast was lightly legged, thick and good. The chicken and waffles were also delicious. Chicken cooked well, the breading crisp and not greasy. The waffles were also a bit dense but were a great bite. The pork was good, not too saucy. And the sauce had just the right sweetness. They also serve a home smoked country ham. It was a little dry and very salty. They serve it with their red sauce, a combination of brown sugar, coffee, and some spices. It went well with he ham but was a but overpowered by the large ham flavor. I was surprised by the slow service as they were not packed. It took a while to get some additional syrup and even longer waiting for a second cup.of coffee. All in all a quaint little cafe. You can buy the jams, ham, and biscuits to take home. Stop buy and enjoy a slow leisurely meal.

Jeanne Rogers

Long wait but worth it. Great biscuits with homemade jams; blackberry, strawberry, and peach. Service with a smile and country friendly.

David B. Peel

Wonderful country cooking! Good smoked bbq, fried chicken, dressing, greens, gravy, biscuits and all the fixins. People are sweet and the whole thing has a cool 70 year history. Worth the stop. If you get sampler three meats two sides and bread under 20 bucks. Also breakfast all day. Can’t go wrong. Diet starts tomorrow.

Sharon Mason

We happened on this place the first day of our vacation and have been back twice. This place is amazing. Come hungry and early. Lots of food per portion. Excellent food and great service!!!

Family Towles

Oh those biscuits!!! It's good food and service here. Other neat stores make this an enjoyable visit. Many good entrees were had by my large group and we love this place. If you have not been here, check it out. Don't eat too many biscuits. I had three. Should have eaten more.

Jackie Gilliam

I had the southern sampler and its all delicious. Way more food than you can eat at one time and the staff were wonderful. I highly recommend stopping here.

Jordan Kessler

Lived in Nashville my whole life and not sure why I've waited so long to go! Very friendly staff and the food was most excellent. Lots of neat buildings and little shops to explore around the grounds. Can't wait to go back :)

Mariana Aleman

Very friendly waitress, it felt very welcoming. The food was very yummy. We went in on Thursday afternoon and it was not very busy, which was got fast seating. Our waitress who i believe was Tammy was knowledgeable of the menu.

ForkYourIgnorance

It is definitely worth the wait. I had to wait 45 minutes but they have nice gift shops to look at to pass the time real quick. One of the best breakfast places I've ever been to

Karen Sapp

Food was worth the two hour wait. Arrive early. We got there at 9 am folks arriving after us was told to come back in an hour to even get a pager to get on the wait list. Well worth it.

Marsha Lamberth

I suppose this is a good place to eat. It must be because I was told there would be an hour and 45 minute wait for a table. I declined to wait that long to eat. Guess I will never know for sure if the food is that good.

Saul Ballaine

The biscuits were amazing and free!! The food was even better. You get a lot for what you pay. Very busy but got us in fast. Worth the few minutes waiting for a table

Judy Elber

The food was amazing! The biscuits and jams delicious. I had the three meat sampler. I tried the meatloaf, ham, and fried catfish. All were good. My favorite was the ham! It was so salty, and cured to perfection. All the sides we had were yummy.

Megan Creech

The food was amazing and well worth the long wait! BBQ was delicious and our waitress Bama did an outstanding job. She gave us a large container of BBQ sauce to go with our to go containers.

Caitlin Klaper

This was honestly one of the best overall meals I've had in a while. The biscuits were probably the best I've ever had. I got the pulled pork platter, which came with these delicious cornbread flapjacks underneath. Ended with banana pudding, which was a far cry from the normal "pudding" I've eaten before. Everything was delicious, and there was enough to take home for tomorrow!!

Keith Sutton

Best biscuits ever, and delicious preserves. Superb service. Highly recommend!

Tamra Windsor

Best staff in town. I have a lot of dietary restrictions and the bent over backwards to accommodate me. Keith and Daniel the managers were amazing.

Sara Morrison

WOW! So happy we went a little out of our way to go to this gem. A girlfriend HIGHLY recommended we go. And we did not regret it. The biscuits are light airy and heavenly. All the jams were delicious (bought one of each in gift shop). A must go if in the Nashville area.

Jamie Shelton

Always wanted to try it since moving to Nashville. It's worth the drive to West Nashville. Try not to fill up on biscuits before your meal arrives!

Sheryl McCormick

I was really disappointed with the food quality this time around. Two best items were creamed corn (just like Grandma's) and the biscuits with their jellies. I had to send two different sides back. Cole slaw tasted like some chemical cleaner and after I specifically asked if the greens were spicy and told no, I almost choked on them. Guess good help is hard to find.

Catherine Dodson

I will Always make it a point to stop in at the Loveless cafe whenever I am in Tennessee. In fact, it is usually number one on my list. This last time I took home a jar of the Blackberry preserves from the gift shop and I have been enjoying a little taste of Loveless every day for breakfast since then. The wait staff is so friendly, in fact, everyone in the little "Loveless" town just shines with southern hospitality. 2 thumbs up.

Shirley Cruz Vasquez

This place is delicious and staff super friendly. Prices are in normal range. The biscuits to die for and I don't eat biscuits! If you don't like many sauces or picky like me make sure you ask for all sauce on the side.

Jeremy Whittingham

The wait was an hour and forty five minutes but worth it! We had food within 10 min of being seated. Food was amazing and larger portions at a reasonable price.

Sandy Mendizabal

Cozy cafe off the beaten path but SO worth it! The homemade biscuits and jams were amazing! The service was excellent and friendly staff, plenty of parking even for RV’s ! There are adjoining markets to purchase some homemade products too! A+++

Sarah S

What's better than biscuits?! This place does simple home cooking the best way possible - with Southern hospitality and lots of butter. Definitely worth the drive!

Brett Passmore

When traveling, it's really important to find unique and creative places to spend your money. One of the most unique things about this is the drive to get here from I-40. Yes, the food is amazing, yes, the atmosphere is incredible. And for facility as old as this is, they are wheelchair accessible. That's a great thing. Please take time to visit those Priceless Cafe.

Bonnie Gholston

Oh my...what wonderful country food!! They give every table a pile of fantastic biscuits! Serves breakfast any time of the day.

Darlene Hines

We shared a large platter breakfast plate with french toast, eggs over med, bacon/sausage mix and hash-brown casserole that was alThey're buttery and rich and delicious. I like how they were on the smaller side, too. And don't get me started on the preserves..they were out of this world.

tony brack

Please find time to go this iconic institution! The food and service is out of this world! I had the sampler plate with the ham, fried chicken and fried catfish and my wife had the grilled catfish!

Chella Bhagyam

Pretty good breakfast. I was expecting more with the wait and how highly rated the cafe is. Was definitely satisfied but the 2 hour waits are insane.

Daryl Houston

NOT a safe place in 2019. This is a gun free zone so patronize at your own risk. The sticker was not on clear view at the entrance in my opinion. My client who I had met to have a meal and conduct business with was confronted by management and ask to hide his weapon as people seated beside is caught a glimpse and felt "unsafe and afraid." Not to worry though as we will make sure our second amendment, law abiding friends and family never do business here again. Let's hope management can protect everyone from a psycho should they make this place a target.

William Clark

A great restaurant. Our waiter was Jason. He's was very knowledgeable and fun. The atmosphere was nice. I highly recommend you try this place. The food is A 1 and they knock everything out of the park. The gift shop is really nice. Many more things I could say but you really need to experience The Loveless and see for yourself.

GraceIsGone

We have been here twice now and both visits were excellent. Food is good and consistent. Service is always great. This is our go to breakfast on our way out of town, after visiting Nashville. We'll be back!

Dereck Lee

Had the Loveless fried chicken, the chicken was great the sides not so much visiting but would give another chance with different sides

Diane B

We arrived here around 10 am on a Saturday. Plenty of parking spaces but the wait was about 1 1/2 hours. We took a stroll around the property, there are a few shops, a country market/gift shop and local artists shop, to spend some time browsing. Outside, there was a small table set up with complimentary water and lemonade. I was so excited to try the biscuits, they did not disappoint! The fried chicken and hash brown casserole are excellent. I wasn't a fan of the fried green tomatoes. Even though we were both full, we had to try the mixed berry cobbler, delicious! Prices are very reasonable and service was good considering how crowded they were. I would definitely return when I'm back in the area.

Stella Krueger

I feel that I may be over rating it. The food is somewhat over cooked. The biscuits are a far cry from being good biscuits. My family likes it, so I go there a few times a year.

Vicky Hargrove

Went with a large group of people. Our waiter was great. Always refilling drinks and getting extra biscuits. A very nice experience.

Philip Riegel

The wait is worth the experience. The food is very tasty and you get a good portion. I had the country ham and my wife the country fried steak. Be sure to have some of the delicious biscuits with their original preserves. Rachel our server was very pleasant and on top of things. I recommend The Loveless Cafe.

Danny Thompson

Best biscuits ever. Never had a bad meal here. Turnip greens and pot liquor is so good, I could eat a gallon bucket.

Peter Gunn

The hashbrowns casserole tasted undercooked. I say this because the potatoes had a raw crunchy texture. The bacon was chewy tough and lacking flavor. The biscuits were small and white unlike what was pictured on the website. The biscuits did not taste good. The garden omelet was also lacking in flavor. I give 2 stars instead of one because I've been dozens of times before and it was so much better...all of it. This was for a carryout order on Sunday morning.

Mart Mashburn

BBQ sandwich was very good and very large. Nannanna pudding was some of the best I've ever had. A little pricey. Had a 20 min wait on Wednesday morning at 1040. Service was excellent.

Raymond Featherston

We had a reception there in the barn after a funeral. The food and service was exceptional. I would highly recommend it. I had only ate breakfast at the cafe before. The food is awesome. It was a wonderful time with family and friends on a sad day.

Brandon McMahan

The biscuits and the jams were amazing, I could go for just the biscuits. The service was great, and the food was delicious. They have by far the best peanut butter pie I've ever ate.

Jessica

Very quaint and tasty restuarant. Staff was really friendly. Fried chicken and biscuits were delicious. Check out the cute locally made gift items in the shops behind the restaurant

Literally everything I have ever ordered from Loveless Cafe is amazing. I love everything about this place, from the quaint interior to the friendly staff. If I could eat here everyday I would probably be hundreds of pounds over weight. It's that good. If you are ever in Nashville it is worth the drive to eat at Loveless Cafe.

Roberta Vigar

We eat at Loveless Cafe, almost every time we're in Franklin & Nashville. About 3-4 timrs a year. We LOVE the food & have never been disappointed. Biscuits & jelly are great! BBQ is moist & tasty. Grits are the best - especially the cheese grits! Don't miss your chance to eat there!

Johnny JustBoltOns

Biscuits and their jams are amazing. The smell of the smoker is fantastic. Tried their home fries with pork biscuits.

Stumper 00

500+ mi road trip to Nashville. Loveless Cafe is usually busy but well worth it. Visit the shops or play Cornhole while you wait. Friendly staff, fast service. excellent food at great prices. Fried Chicken is on point. This is what down home cooking is all about!

Terrence Mahnken

Puts another TN country-style, restaurant (chain) to shame. Always a great experience and the food never disappoints. The biscuits and preserves alone are worth the trip and wait. NOTE: prepare to wait. We’ve been at least a dozen or more times and always had to wait between 20 to 90 minutes. However, the property is beautiful with shops, corn hole, and plenty of shady seating. It is worth it!!!

Steve Burress

One of my favorites for great southern food. I try to bring anyone visiting to Loveless!! Can’t go wrong with anything in the menu. Bring an appetite!!

Rebecca whitebread

Visited my son in Nashville, had to give it a try! Waitress Cindy was AMAZING, honestly one of the best servers I've ever had. Truly a down home feel. The food was good, biscuits awesome, but the service made it top notch!

Esteban Carrillo

Delicious and tasty biscuits. The Bloody Mary at brunch was spicy and good! I had the chicken biscuit and the chicken was very flavorful.

Matthew Rogers

Always appreciated when hankering for biscuits. A little treasure chest if country cooking. Lots of tourist come here so be prepared to wait it out.

Ryan Wagner

It is kind of place you want to be. Friendly staff that can give you directions to anywhere. Food so good you wont want to leave. Well worth the drive!

alexandria curtis

We waited an hour and a half & then got seated with a waitress that didn’t like us apparently. She didn’t say hi or anything other than, “ what do you want to drink” we order everything before the people beside us & they got everything before we did. Biscuits & Jam & drinks. We ordered the famous ham and chicken fried steak. The steak was awesome. However, the ham was rotten. It smelled , tasted miserable, and was chewy. When we got our biscuits, it was three, still stuck together with no jam at all. Then the waitress just left. So, I found the manager & told him what was going on. He brought us new fresh biscuits with actual jam, replaced the ham, and brought us extra sides to make up for it. That’s why there’s 3 stars. Manager=awesome. Waitress=not

Justin Gilbert

This is a treasured Nashville landmark. Anyone visiting Nashville for the first time should make time to visit the Loveless Cafe. It's a unique experience that you won't find anywhere else.

Tommy Holden

The only things good about this place are the history and the biscuits (biscuits were very good). Everything else we ate there looked and tasted like it came from freezer packages that you can buy at any grocery store. I've heard lot of people praise this place and it was a major disappointment. I will never go back. It's better to spend the money on the freezer packages at a grocery store and have several meals of the substandard food!

Terri Williams

The biscuits alone make this a go-to place. I loved the BlackBerry jam: not to sweet but dripping with flavor. I had the cheese grits, very creamy & tender. I also had the fried green tomato biscuit. A+ in flavor. My husband said it was the best soft cooked eggs he has ever had.

Candid President

The food was very good here. I do not usually like biscuits unless they are Pillsbury Grand..

Sandra Mitchell

Biscuits are amazing! They make 10000 a day so that tells you how good they are! Hash brown casserole is very good. And the cured ham is like none i have tasted before! Waitresses were very attentive and suggestuons were spot on. Worth any wait there is as pager will reach into their store...so you can buy biscuit mix!

anette Pharris

I'm sure it was a five star restaurant, but the wait was an hour and 40 minutes so we did not get to eat there do plan on going back.

Jody May

Loveless Cafe never disappoints! Great place to bring out-of-towners. We got the Family Style Breakfast #1 and had so much sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, home fries, and fruit that they had to roll us out of there! Not to mention unlimited biscuits which was everyone's favorite at our table. Be prepared to wait up to 2 hours if you plan to go on Friday or Saturday. If you go on the weekend, I recommend you send someone ahead to save a spot on the wait...you can only call ahead to reserve on weekdays.

Laura Binkley

Enjoyed our lunch! Reservations are available at certain times, would definitely recommend. Our server was Hannah and she was great, awesome service and really friendly! Biscuits were definitely the highlight of the meal. I had a mix of sides (Mac n cheese, grits, hashbrown casserole) - my favorite was hashbrown casserole. My husband had fried pork chops which were okay, creamed corn side was good. Really enjoyed the PB pie!

David Hampton

This place lives up to the hype and is well worth the wait! Jason provided great service as did the entire staff! Everything I ordered was perfect! The fried catfish was probably the best I've eaten! The sides were just as good! And the biscuits were addictive! Put the Loveless Cafe on your "must do" list. You wont regret it!

Stacey Landrum

Wow! What an amazing place. Excellent service and amazing food. If you like a good home cooked meal, stop and go in. You'll be glad you did.

Charlie Wilkinson

Food is great. So much opportunity to improve the overall experience.

P. Nicole

First time eating here and the service was AMAZING. Good ole southern hospitality at its best. Our waiter was Evan, he was very friendly and accurate w/ our orders. The biscuits were great! We had a party of 26 and the service was hot, fresh, and prompt. I will be visiting again!

Lisa Wascher

I grew up in Nashville, and like the Bluebird Cafe, have no idea how this place got so famous. It's okay but nothing spectacular. Food and service is the average you would get at most meat and three type places. I sent my salad back though it was so awful (I'm really not that picky) and just ate the biscuits lol I guess you really shouldn't order a salad here since they are famous for their biscuits. The biscuits and jam are pretty good. Service was friendly and reasonably efficient.

Tanya Bass

Lobe love love this place you can get a full tummy shop and stay over great little place and they have a place to have weddings or big parties

rebecca mathews

This place was a slight detour from our route, but completely worth it! The food is amazing, I recommend the fried chicken and the meatloaf! Our waitress Rebecca was obviously very busy but still came to check on up multiple times. I wish we could have spend more time (and money) there. If you are in the area, it is definitely a must!

Brandi Jett

Nice breakfast spot. Long wait, but expected since it was a Sunday and this place is famous! Had high expectations for the food from reviews/articles but it was just average. Good food but nothing too special

Pauline Williams

Smoked Boneless Pork Chops - turnip greens, creamed corn, and fried green tomatoes. Country eatin' at it's best, they stay busy for a reason!! Service is spot on and staff is great.

Kim Garvey

If you're a breakfast fan, this place is worth the effort if only for the food. It's a modest place just by the entrance to the Natchez Trace trail head, so it's constantly busy. Saturday and Sunday it's beyond busy, with wait times exceeding and hour and a half, so be prepared to hunker down if you go on the weekend. The inside is very quaint, but a little tight. They can service large family groups well. Also, staff is extremely friendly and they handle the chaos well. Have pie, if you can!

Alise Willis

Amazing everything! Go with the local favorites and you will not be disappointed. The biscuits are everything the reviews say they are (as in the really good ones!) Fried chicken and creamed corn and fried green tomatoes! Thanks Jason for your recommendation and good humor and general Southern charm. Post script: you can watch them make the biscuits through a window and it just adds something unique to the whole experience.

Randy Dunst

A quaint setting with awesome biscuits and food. You won't leave hungry and will probably need to buy some peach preserves to go!

Nakecia Fuller

We had the southern sampler platter that includes three meats and two sides. We chose chicken, catfish, and country ham as our sides. The mac and cheese was the BOMB! The turnip greens were delicious. We ended our meal with banana pudding. The pudding wasn’t very sweet and I personally didn’t like it but everyone around us loved it. I love, love, love, banana pudding and this was disappointing. The biscuits were good. The sweet tea was not sweet. Our wait time was 1 hour 20 minutes but it went by fast. We visited the shops on the property, took pictures, and talked so the time went by fast. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant.

S Meeks

This was the 3rd time here. We drive the 1.5 hrs because everything about this place is wonderful. Ask for honey for the biscuits. Fried green tomatoes are the bomb. The bloody mary mix is great to take home and make your own. The charm of his place draws you in.

Cynthia

Excellent food. Expect to wait to be seated but there is plenty to do while you do wait. An absolute must place to stop and enjoy a meal while in Nashville!

Howard Mittleman

Great food. Great prices. Great service. Long wait.

Dana Foust

Worth the iconic stop off the beaten path outside of downtown. Service was phenomenal! Food was ok. Have had better fried chicken and waffles.

Bret Scott

Great food at an iconic place. Fun, funky southern / country atmosphere but the food is no joke! A little out of the way but very much worth finding!

Greg Winterton

Really enjoy dining there. Good southern cooking, great staff

Alicia Warden

We discovered this beautiful place while on a road trip and we fell in love! Delicious food. definitely eat the biscuts and you will feel like you have just had a slice of heaven! the staff was amazing and so polite. Any time we talk about going to Tennessee, we talk about going here again

Lara Warden

Such a great place to visit! Real mix of locals and tourists with consistently friendly staff and great food! Definitely recommend a visit. Although if going on a weekend get there early or expect a wait!

Ryan Arthur

It may be on the outskirts of Davidson County, but that does not mean this isn't a Nashville staple. There is a good reason it's a three hour wait on the weekends. Down home country food with all you can eat biscuits...how can you go wrong? I highly recommend the Chicken Finger Plate. They ain't kiddin' when they say fingers as big as your hand. I pair it with the Hash Brown Casserole and Fried Okra (or a side salad if I am feeling like watching what I eat). And speaking of health conscious, I also highly recommend their Southern Salad. Just ask for it with Grilled Chicken, which is one of my favorite menu items. If you're from out of town or a native and don't want to wait, 1) There are plenty of shops and things to entertain yourself with on the property. 2) Go on a weeknight and you will either walk right in to a table or wait 15-20 min.

rachel bomar

We stop here often as we can. Good food. Good service friendly servers. Very hospitable. If you aren't familiar with "Southern foods" they will help you choose. Cool shops that are reasonably priced. Always expect a at least 15 20 minute wait. Totally worth it. Use ya manners, say please, thank you and excuse me when appropriate.

Tom Melton

The food was fantastic!!! Nice waitress and helpful. Nice atmosphere also.

Doug Shaw

If you really want southern comfort food, look no further. Just get in your car and bring your appetite with you. Lots of choices, all well prepared. Served on time. Just don't load up on free appetizer biscuits and homemade preserves because they are going to give you large servings on your plate. Our waitress was superb, but everyone we interacted with was great. Give yourself time to look around the shops . I ate more than I should have and bought more gifts than I should have. Food was tasty but I'm dinging it 1 star for the fried green tomatoes, no flavor and so thin it and the fried okra just tasted like batter. Would have liked to have a nice thick tomato:( All the other dishes were really good and my party was happy so worth a stop

Been here for lunch/dinner on many occasions. Stopped by for breakfast tho, and just as good. Got the Nashville sampler, and I can say that it is a 2 person meal. Unless you haven’t eaten anything in 48 hours, I would suggest sharing it. It is a great amount of food for 15 dollars as the pancakes are as big as your face, and there are three of them

Nancy Bradley

We came for the home cooking and were not disappointed. The biscuits and preserves are eye-rolling good. Don't miss the Southwest smashed potatoes either. Beans and fried okra are not out of a freezer or can. Vegetables are fresh and delicious. This was not our first visit and certainly hope it's not our last.

Awesome food really good loved it. Our waitress Regan was outstanding. Five Stars

Matthew Castillo

Food was great, and not too overpriced. It was neat to eat at an iconic place like this. I did not feel the southern hospitality, but everyone has their off days, so try the place for yourself.

Carol Glazar

I go here whenever I get to Nashville. Great food and service. Shops have local artist wares.

I revisited after 15 years. The food is just as good, though the biscuits aren't like I remember them. Still, with all the butter and blackberry jam, they're still better than anything I've ever made. My brother and I both got the Southern Sampler plates. He got three items (bbq pork loin, fried chicken, and pulled pork) and I got three items (fried catfish, meatloaf, and country ham). The only item we skipped was the smoked turkey. We both agreed that the pork loin was top notch. I found the ham to be a little too salty, but it is what it is. The meatloaf sauce had too much chipotle. I was glad I had more to eat than that. The fried catfish was excellent. We should have tried the dessert, but frankly we were both stuffed. Worth the 1500 mile trip.

Very good food!! We had a little bit of a wait when we got there, which was perfect because we were able to visit all their little shops before dinner. They have Cornhole for people to play, two areas with them. Great for keeping little ones entertained. There is also a smoke house, it was closed when we were there but looked pretty cool. Our wait went relatively quick. Food was delicious and delivered quickly, piping hot! I highly recommend the catfish (yum). The biscuits with the preserves are honestly amazing (I'm usually not a fan of either). Check out this jewel, it won't disappoint!

A great place to have a wedding. My nice had her wedding there. It was done up beautiful. Thanks to all would did the food and decorations. What a excellent job you did. The mc was excellent too.

Jessica B

Make reservations! Otherwise you'll risk an hour+ wait. The food is delicious, very typical American southern and the shops and the restaurant are cute.

Carolyn Stamper

Friendly service food was hot and the portions were more than enough. Love this place will eat here again. Also visit her little shops after eating.

This was our first time in Nashville and we found this place by accident, great find.. Food was fantastic and the service was awesome Robyn really knows the menu. Food came out fast and it was well worth the wait.

Shannon Matthews

EPIC! You have to go to this place! Yes, the wait is 1-3 hrs. but there is stuff to do while your waiting and the time goes by fast. The food was amazing and the atmosphere in the restaurant was awesome!

Josh Shultz

There's a reason this place is so highly rated. Lived up to my expectations! Delicious :))

Sara

We loved the Loveless Cafe. It’s a good 25 minute drive from downtown Nashville but well worth it. The food was delicious... we had the fried chicken, pulled pork bbq, Mac & cheese, cold slaw and fries. All were great. Highly recommended.

Pam Thearp

Good food, good service. I'd served ranch, honey mustard or even better, make a signature sauce for the fried green tomatoes. There was no apple cider vinegar for the greens. The chicken fried chicken left a bit to be desired. I'd go with white gravy for a choice as well. The greens were delicious. The sweet potatoes my grandmas.

William Ericson

Overall the place was great it was very cozy and homey and everyone working there was so nice. The reason I gave it only 3 stars is because the food was overpriced, and mainly because it definitely wasn't what everyone makes it out to be. Sure it was good, but definitely not amazing.

Susan Ringgenberg

Such a wonderful place to visit. The food was excellent. I highly recommend everyone go here.

Michael Parsons

Amazing service! Amazing Food! Super fast! I’m very impressed

Les Kafel

Tempted to give this 5 stars because of its iconic status. The food was good, about average for a roadside breakfast place. The decor, service, atmosphere, and location near the Natchez Trace Parkway are definitely a 5 star rating if a little too touristy. I did buy a t-shirt so what do I know

Marianne Dennis

I can't rave enough about this place!!! Our wait was 1 hour and 40 minutes for Sunday Brunch time but worth every second of it! We visited the different shops, played some of the games, and might have even sipped some blueberry wine while we waited.

Mark Bolling

Oh man, what all can I say?? We drove over from Memphis just to eat here, and I'm sure we weren't the only ones to cover a lot of miles to get to Loveless. The biscuits and preserves - life changing. Good luck not filling up on them before your meal arrives! I don't know what they do differently, but they're the best on the planet. My mother and I ordered the fried chicken, the chicken and dumplings, and a whole bunch of sides, and nothing disappointed. My absolute favorite is the fried chicken and the creamed corn. All of it is true southern cooking at its best, and I completely understand why people drive from far and wide and wait as long as it takes to make sure they get a table. All very well worth it. We'll most definitely be back again and again!!

em k

Nothing but good here..history, scenery, memories and good food.. the full package.. if you have to wait it's worth it.. otherwise get a sampler biscuit platter to go and eat it in the parking lot.. you'll not be disappointed either way.. if possible take 96 west to the Natchez Trace bridge and head north across the bridge..a taste of the trace and then a taste of Loveless Cafe.. don't miss it!

NashvilleLO

The property around this place is cute. Food is average, but the biscuits are what is on point!! Be expected to have a wait. Not sure if we will be back or not. There are so many better and less crowded places around Nashville.

aye fukker

Food was excellent. Had half smoked chicken and pork chops, very good. The biscuits are great and the preserves are awesome. The feel is like a old home that you're grandparents lived at. The shops are cool and have some really good gifts and souvenirs. I really liked this place. It was about a 30 minute wait, but you can go to the shops while you wait. The staff was really friendly and offered suggestions of things to try.

Lori smith

The food is fabulous! We had about a 45 minute but well worth it. The Chicken fried chicken with the side of gravy was so tender and juicy, the pulled pork bbq sandwich was delicious. They having things you can do while you wait. Outside games, country store, clothing store and much more. Very good experience

Delinda Thomas

WELL WORTH the hour and 30 minute wait! Staff was great and food was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!! Wish we lived closer!!!

K Mertens

When we sat down we were suprised to be brought a big plate of biscuits with 3 types of jelly. Delicious. The meals and desserts we had were good too!

Michael Karp

Our waitress Virginia was phenomenal!! She even took our kids around and showed them where the biscuits were made so my wife and I could have a minute to eat in peace! The food was amazing, deff worth the 25 min drive from downtown! This is a must see if your in the area and need a breakfast spot! Thank you for everything. Good service, great people, amazing food.

Mark Y

The first time I've felt that anyplace was worth the hour and half wait to get in. There wasn't a single thing on our plates that wasn't delicious. Service is top notch, and even management chips in to make sure everything is running smoothly.

Malorie Harvey

Oh boy I don't even know where to begin! Lets just start by saying this place is FABULOUS. If I can give anyone any advice it would be to make sure you stop here when you go to Nashville. This place is like heaven on earth. Try it, I promise y'all will love it.

william skelton

If God ever made any better biscuits, he must have kept them for Himself. Southern cooking done right. Just go there already. It's worth the drive. Nice gift shop too.

Christina Nordan

Went on a Tuesday evening around six, no wait for a table of four. Friendly waitress who was prompt and told us about all the specials. Great biscuits with preserves. The food came out very quickly. I had the chicken salad sandwich with fries. It was excellent. My bf had the smoked turkey and chicken liver appetizer . And the other people dining with us had fried pork chops and the pulled pork sandwich. All of us left satisfied. The decor was very southern and homey along with a very southern staple menu. This was my first time at the Loveless and I'd definitely return.

Brenda Gilpatrick

Pretty awesome place and atmosphere... Loved all the pictures and the biscuits AND the strawberry jelly... OMG!!

Sheri Long

Food was excellent even with the 2.5 hour wait. it was so worth it. Our waiter was excellent as well. definitely returning

Susan Mueller

With very good Southern cuisine, located well outside Nashville, this isn’t a fancy place. It has Impressively loyal customers, though. Often there is a wait for a table.

Armando Frias

Should call it the “Tasteless Cafe”. To be fair the biscuits were good, but they were the only thing that were good. The ham was very salty, the syrup was watery, and the eggs were poorly cooked. To top it all off, it was overpriced. A little over $42 for 3 for a breakfast that was not worth it. I’m shocked by the number of high reviews this place has. If this is what people think is good food, then honestly I feel sorry for them.

Megan Goines

The food was delicious! Tried the fried chicken and catfish. Vegetable of the day was southwest scalloped potatoes...They are a must have!

Tim Gill

If you're traveling through Nashville, make time for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you're in Nashville for some boot stomping on Whiskey Row, you MUST make time for Loveless ❤. If you're a local and haven't.....you've must. Don't let the crowd discourage you....waits can be 90 minutes, but there's plenty and plenty of activities and country shops to keep you business. Th food, AMAZING. Pictures will speak for themselves.
