Went for my girlfriend's graduation dinner . Was seated very quick and waited on very quick. Waitress was great. We shared the shrimp platter. Now we are sick to our stomachs and throwing up. I gave up on the steak. The server made me feel like I was a bother and I actually had to get up and find her twice.

Cool concept, my kids enjoyed themselves. It took our server a very long time to greet our table. Prices are on the higher side, it would be nicer if there was something more interactive for the guests, like if someone who was actually knowledgeable about the aquatic life in the place to go around and tell you about the animals. I felt like my kids were in the way when they were trying to walk around and look at everything. I don't know. The concept just didn't seem executed as well as it could have.

Cool place, but could have been done so much more. The waitress kept trying to get us to purchase this membership thing even though we would have to travel several hours to the nearest location.... she didn't seem to understand that. Also charged us an extra $15 for stuff she made sound like it came with the meal and anywhere else would have come with the meal..... al in all, I feel it was over priced for the meal gotten.

This restaurant is amazing! There is a 200,000 gallon saltwater tank that goes floor to ceiling full of amazing varieties of fish. I saw sharks, stingrays, catfish, a moray eel, and tons of other fish I don't know the names of. It was a unique dining experience and the portions were very generous and quite tasty. Just came from there. Celebrated my birthday meal. My favorite is seafood and it was good, but not great and here's why. I had a dish with shrimp and scallops that was served with asparagus. The price was something like $22.99 (best I recall). Anyway the shrimp and scallops were totally delicious. I mean as good as I've had on the coast. But-- there is one BIG difference: I was served only 4 shrimp and 2 scallops. Hardly a meal worth almost $30 with tax, tip, and drink. Furthermore, the asparagus was so tough I could not chew it up. Guess they figured serving asparagus stems to the customer would not be noticed, but I love asparagus normally. So I noticed! I didn't want to give them one star or two stars because I do love seafood, and this is about as good as it gets around here, but I am sorely disappointed. What should have been a 5 star experience was mediocre at best.

This was an amazing experience! My mom loves fish and seafood so this was defintely a treat for her! You’re defintely paying for the experience but that was okay by us. I ordered a steak that was cooked perfectly. The seasonal vegetables weren’t my favorite as it was mostly squash, but the house salad was excellent. My mom has the stuffed shrimp and everything was very tasty. However, our waiter really made he experience great! He was able to tell us about almost every fish in the tank and offered to take a picture of us as we were leaving. He really took the time to have a conversation with us even though he was busy. My only “con” would be the gift shop. I love gift shops and this place had lots of cute mermaid, fish, and sea themed items BUT they didn’t have a lots of “brand” merchandise. I just wish they had more with their logo because I like to collect items of where I’ve been (that has the location/place of where I’ve been). If you’ve never been to an Aquarium restaurant, I highly recommend visiting!

Well it’s a restaurant with a lot of aquariums and sea life. You can look at what you’re eating while it’s still alive. You don’t actually eat what’s in the tank but you eat the same thing that’s in there. It’s neat and the kids really like it. The food is typical American and seafood. I’ve noticed that the kids really enjoy looking at the fish and the ambience.

Stopped by here for lunch while shopping at Opry Mills Mall. Think of the Rainforest Cafe without all the noise. People of all ages visit here and the Aquarium atmosphere with all the different types of fish, sharks and stingrays makes the atmosphere quite peaceful and serene. Since we weren't starving we ordered a plate to share which consisted of stuffed crab, a lobster tail, stuffed shrimp, scallops and shrimp scampi rice and a vegetable mix. Surprisingly it was very good and filling for both us. We were fortunate to be there when two divers entered the tank with the fishes. The colors of the various fishes were beautiful. So if you want a tranquil setting to go along with your meal and the noise of the jungle is too much be sure to stop by the Aquarium for a relaxing drink. appetizer or meal and let all of your tensions and worries swim with the fish.

Good place for seafood that is not all fried. The ambience is awesome. We enjoy watching the fish in the absolutely huge aquarium. The dining options are great. Don't be afraid to try something new. If you are unsure the great wait staff has always been ready to help us at anytime. Look forward to our next trip.

The decor and fish tanks were amazing. The food is priced high so you think that you are getting a gourmet dinner. I ordered the mahi mahi with shrimp, scallops and asparagus for 27.99. What I got was a dried up piece of fish a tiny scallop and 2 shrimp. I was very disappointed. My husband received the complete wrong dish and had to wait for another 20 minutes for his food. I don't like to give bad reviews but after a $90 bill I was hoping for a better turn out. Sorry guys

Located inside the Opry Mills Mall, this restaurant offers a unique “underwater” dining experience. There’s a large floor to ceiling fish tank in the middle of the restaurant with tables positioned all around. There are a variety of fish including large eels, barracuda, sting rays, angel fish, and more - big and small! It was certainly a fun experience, especially if visiting with children. They have a great seafood-based menu (although eating seafood in front of the sea life offered a bit of a conundrum). The food was great but I felt it was overpriced. I ordered the ahi tuna salad for $22 and although it did come with a good portion of tuna, the salad overall was underwhelming. I felt the kids menu was great and well priced - you get a main course and a side but it also came out with fruit and rice in addition to my order. Also, the mall location seemed to degrade its full potential. All in all, I would highly recommend if visiting with kids.

Traveled here with my grandmother. Place was awesome! They had a diver in the tank while we was here. Wish we had something like this closer to home to be able to visit more. We vacationed in Nashville and decided to take our two girls there as they would enjoy seeing the fish etc. First off I recommend only touring the place and not eating there. The food you get is very small for the price you pay. Also, I ordered the Shrimp Tacos and got food poisoning. I was extremely sick after I ate there. I puked at least 20x. It was horrible !! I never leave reviews but I hope you’ll save your money and health and go eat elsewhere. This place is not good ! The only positive was the girls enjoyed looking at the big tank.

I had high hopes and was so disappointed in this restaurant, the atmosphere is good for what it is, the mermaid was trash and service was great. The food was beyond awful I would have been happier with some Chipotle. Shrimp was chewy and dirty, bread was hard as rocks must have been that bread Jesus served to his disciples and HIGHLY overpriced. Not a wide selection of seafood for a seafood restaurant. I will never go back here nor recommend it to anyone else. 2 stars for the speedy professional service and food gets a -5.

The decor and fish tanks were amazing. The food is priced high so you think that you are getting a gourmet dinner. I ordered the mahi mahi with shrimp, scallops and asparagus for 27.99. What I got was a dried up piece of fish a tiny scallop and 2 shrimp. I was very disappointed. My husband received the complete wrong dish and had to wait for another 20 minutes for his food. I don't like to give bad reviews but after a $90 bill I was hoping for a better turn out. Sorry guys

Located inside the Opry Mills Mall, this restaurant offers a unique “underwater” dining experience. There’s a large floor to ceiling fish tank in the middle of the restaurant with tables positioned all around. There are a variety of fish including large eels, barracuda, sting rays, angel fish, and more - big and small! It was certainly a fun experience, especially if visiting with children. They have a great seafood-based menu (although eating seafood in front of the sea life offered a bit of a conundrum). The food was great but I felt it was overpriced. I ordered the ahi tuna salad for $22 and although it did come with a good portion of tuna, the salad overall was underwhelming. I felt the kids menu was great and well priced - you get a main course and a side but it also came out with fruit and rice in addition to my order. Also, the mall location seemed to degrade its full potential. All in all, I would highly recommend if visiting with kids.

Traveled here with my grandmother. Place was awesome! They had a diver in the tank while we was here. Wish we had something like this closer to home to be able to visit more. Sadly I have to give a one star. We vacationed in Nashville and decided to take our two girls there as they would enjoy seeing the fish etc. First off I recommend only touring the place and not eating there. The food you get is very small for the price you pay. Also, I ordered the Shrimp Tacos and got food poisoning. I was extremely sick after I ate there. I puked at least 20x. It was horrible !! I never leave reviews but I hope you’ll save your money and health and go eat elsewhere. This place is not good ! The only positive was the girls enjoyed looking at the big tank.

Not a good first visit. First, we were disappointed that there weren't aquariums throughout the restaraunt like the website made it look. You walk through one that's like a tunnel to get onto the place but inside there is only one large aquarium in the center. Our booth wasn't even very close to it, so we didn't have a good view. They weren't that busy but service was incredibly slow. It literally took about ten minutes to get our drinks then a while after we ordered food the waiter came out to say or food would be a while because two large tables ordered the same time we did. Like I said, they weren't very busy and it was already about 8:45. The food itself was just okay, definitely not up to the inflated prices. We will not be back.

Came in on March 20, 2019. You see it and your thought on it is good.. because of the environment. The aquarium and the fish are really nice. But not the food. They had bread shaped like seashells and it was DISGUSTING. Even with the butter, it is still bad. This is he south and my sweet tea wasn’t even sweet. Way WAY to pricey. The people there are really nice though. Pretty sure they haven’t tasted he food. {REASONING} I gave this a one star because they need a new chef. Literally just rigged. - A 13 year old boy.

I think even an adult/family version of seek and find to see if they can find all the types of fish while sitting at their table. A small sheet including info about the different types too. Titi and I had a design already made up and I plan to bring it with me on my next visit. This would help encourage family dialogue and engage adults as well as children. A real marketing advantage here. Titi was wonderful and she gets 5 stars.

AMAZING experience with our 2 year old!!! He loves anything aquatic and absolutely flipped out!!! My wife and I went a few years back to the one in Colorado thinking how awesome it would be if there was a closer location and here ya go!!! Luckily we had looked at the menu prior to going so we had an idea of what we wanted since it was a bit on the dim side, yet service was top-notch and staff was so kind, food was more than I could have asked for!!! HIGHLY recommended and we will be back anytime we're in the area!!!

The aquarium is huge, there's not a bad seat in the place. The ONLY reason I couldn't give 5 stars is because my server was rude and slow. I had to ask her 2 times for tartar sauce. The manager stopped by and I asked her for tartar sauce, she brings some out right away, then the server brings some out 2-3 mins later. She said they "ran out and had to make more". Seafood restaurants can NOT run out of tartar sauce..

We chose this location for the aquarium as it was a great atmosphere, but the food was honestly the worst we ate on our trip in Nashville. My husband is allergic to peanuts, and he mentioned it to the waitress only for her to respond there were none in the restaurant. However, they have lettuce wraps that contain them. The pasta was full of oil and the fish was dripping with grease. It was truly an unenjoyable experience.

With all things said.. the aquarium was amazing.... well, where to start? As we came in there was a line. One of the waitresses was up front talking to the biologists about the fish. We were waiting. Our waiter eventually showed up. I ordered a beer and a cup of chowder. Neither showed up. I was told by another waitress that they couldnt get their drinks because the bartender had his own section. We ordered the captains plate and the crab salad. The beer, soup ( complementary) lunch, arrived at the same time. It was just a disaster. The waiter offered to forgo his tip. (No, I didnt not tip) I would never go there again, it is very poorly run

The pricing needs to be updated they are charging too much for the quality of the food and I've dined in some exquisite restaurants. It was fun for the baby and the family to watch the fish navigate the faux reef and watch my daughter gaze in amazement as they passed us by. But to say this establishment is flawless is far from the truth. The entrees could use some work and for the amount paid it leaves much to be desired. It's only saving grace is its namesake.

Went with my family of four. First problem was with the seating. Was initially sat next to the front at the very edge of the large aquarium. We asked to move further in so we could see the whole Aquarium, or just sit near it. The hostess was a bit flustered, like we were an inconvenience but we were offered a slightly better seat. Mind you, the place was 80% empty. I got a 40 dollar meal and my dad got a the 30 dollar catfish with oysters. My steak was bland and so was my wife's but we weren't expecting much because it's not a steak house. My dad's second oyster was bad so he ate like 20% of his meal because he couldn't get the bad taste out of his mouth. They did take it off the check so I gave them and extra star from two. The service was ok.

I asked to be sat at a table so I could look in the tank at the fish, as it was my birthday and I was really excited to eat here, and the lady who sat us sat me directly in front of the wall so I could not see in at all. There were other tables everywhere, half the restaurant was empty, and she sat us at a wall that blocked out view of the tank, which defeats the purpose of eating here. The only places they offered to move us, were behind people that blocked the view, which there were so many more places they could sit us. If was ridiculous. I'll never eat here.

Great views! I loved seeing the fish. The food was alright. They forgot my date’s chips (which we never received) and my fries were cold. They replaced the fries fairly quickly, but I had finished my entree. Come for the experience and drinks, tolerate the food.

Had to wait an unusually long wait time considering they were not that busy when we arrived. Our waiter was very friendly and kept us informed about our food order, just took a while to receive our food. Food was great as always and the atmosphere was amazing. Prices are higher, but we enjoy it and as stated prior, the atmosphere is great.

So much fun to watch the tank and everyone's reaction to its contents. Food was great with more interesting selections, than just the same old same old of other restaurants. Would highly recommend for a fun family event or a cozy romantic venue.

The atmosphere is amazing and is a great place to go for a date night or to take a companion before or after taking in a show at The Grand Ole Opry, as you can walk from The Opry to the restaurant. The menu has a good variety with some healthy options. The dessert platter was beautiful, but we were full from our entrees. I enjoyed the shrimp and grits and my parents each had a steak. The bread we had before our meal was delivered warm with a crusty exterior and soft center. Delicious! We enjoyed the lighting and decor. We truly felt transported, like we were under the sea. It was awesome watching all of the over 70 species of fish in the enormous tank inside the restaurant. I gave this a 4 star rating because the service was not as good as what we expected. The restaurant is large and somewhat pricey. I didn't feel our service matched the cost or the ambiance. Our server was just a bit slow greeting our table and taking our drink orders and was slow to come back and refill our drinks. He was, however, extremely knowledgeable about the restaurant and the menu. He was very personable. Overall a great dining experience and a memorable night out treating my parents.

Service was okay they seemed really really under staffed it took so long to pay my bill that I actually had to take the signed receipt over to the lady upfront at the check in desk. The food honestly was terrible and over priced seventy dollars for two meals that tasted like old shoes. The noodles were not cooked all the way and the sauce tasted like grease and old herbs. I definitely don't recommend eating here the best part was the actual aquarium. Also it's freezing in there might want to bring a sweater even if it's the middle of summer.

I LOVED the food. The environment/atmosphere was amazing. Food is a little expensive, but generally acceptable because of the view you get to see. The aquarium is huge, there's not a bad seat in the place. The ONLY reason I couldn't give 5 stars is because my server was rude and slow. I had to ask her 2 times for tartar sauce. The manager stopped by and I asked her for tartar sauce, she brings some out right away, then the server brings some out 2-3 mins later. She said they "ran out and had to make more". Seafood restaurants can NOT run out of tartar sauce..

The Aquarium Restaurant was a great dining experience. You can go and dine on a variety of seafood dishes from the menu. As you dine you can enjoy the scenery of the different aquatic creatures swimming by in the giant surrounding aquarium. Not to mention that the restaurant is located in the center of Oprey Mills Mall.

It's a bit overpriced but that's because it's in a prime tourist space and is really cool. We always take people visiting from out of town here since it's fairly unique and a lot of fun! The food is good, standard American. Sometimes the wait can get outrageous and I'm not sure it's 45+ minutes of waiting cool/tasty.

The food was delicious! They have a aquarium in the middle of the restaurant, so you watch the exotic fish swim while you eat. You get a large amount of food for the price you pay. They serve delicious complementary bread. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to families and groups.

We chose this location for the aquarium as it was a great atmosphere, but the food was honestly the worst we ate on our trip in Nashville. My husband is allergic to peanuts, and he mentioned it to the waitress only for her to respond there were none in the restaurant. However, they have lettuce wraps that contain them. The pasta was full of oil and the fish was dripping with grease. It was truly an unenjoyable experience.

I love the atmosphere if this restaurant. It makes me feel so peaceful and relaxed. I enjoy watching the large variety of sea life, especially the Australian Guitar Fish, eels and stingrays. The prices are expensive, but, keep in mind that you are also paying for admission to an Aquarium.

With all things said.. the aquarium was amazing.... well, where to start? As we came in there was a line. One of the waitresses was up front talking to the biologists about the fish. We were waiting. Our waiter eventually showed up. I ordered a beer and a cup of chowder. Neither showed up. I was told by another waitress that they couldnt get their drinks because the bartender had his own section. We ordered the captains plate and the crab salad. The beer, soup ( complementary) lunch, arrived at the same time. It was just a disaster. The waiter offered to forgo his tip. (No, I didnt not tip) I would never go there again, it is very poorly run

Me and my husband came here for our 9th anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was beautiful with all the fish swimming around. The hostess was very nice and sat us right in front of the huge fish tank. Matt was our server and he was very nice and answered all my questions and brought our food quickly. I got the seafood Lasagna and my husband got the Asian shrimp and rib meal. We had the castaway appetizer very delicious. My seafood Lasagna was good a bit salty. The presentation didn't look anything like the picture. It didn't even look Lasagna. It looked like sauce and cheese soup with two shrimp and two scallops on top. The dish needed garlic bread to get up all the sauce off the plate. This is the reason I didn't give 5 stars. My husband truly enjoyed his meal the shrimp was very delicious and big. He said his ribs were tender and the sauce was oh so delicious. The presentation was beautiful. The desserts were delicious. I didn't take a picture of my meal because it was a mess.

Ambiance is pretty great and that is what you're paying for. I had the grilled platter and it was pretty good but my date had some asparagus that was basically inedible (basically all stem). All the food was overpriced and just ok, but the aquarium was pretty rad.

The atmosphere and the food were good and the aquarium was amazing. The service was lacking severely.... the wait was an hour but when we went inside it was nearly empty. The pricing needs to be updated they are charging too much for the quality of the food and I've dined in some exquisite restaurants. It was fun for the baby and the family to watch the fish navigate the faux reef and watch my daughter gaze in amazement as they passed us by. But to say this establishment is flawless is far from the truth. The entrees could use some work and for the amount paid it leaves much to be desired. It's only saving grace is its namesake.

Went with my family of four. First problem was with the seating. Was initially sat next to the front at the very edge of the large aquarium. We asked to move further in so we could see the whole Aquarium, or just sit near it. The hostess was a bit flustered, like we were an inconvenience but we were offered a slightly better seat. Mind you, the place was 80% empty. I got a 40 dollar meal and my dad got a the 30 dollar catfish with oysters. My steak was bland and so was my wife's but we weren't expecting much because it's not a steak house. My dad's second oyster was bad so he ate like 20% of his meal because he couldn't get the bad taste out of his mouth. They did take it off the check so I gave them and extra star from two. The service was ok.

The Aquarium is cool but the food is disgusting! Paid $60 for two at LUNCH and both of us left hungry. Fish and chips tasted like the oil it was cooked in hasn't been changed In a year, and they were mushy inside. After the first bite we asked our server for something else. Got grilled shrimp and was served grilled shrimp that were not cleaned properly. Don't waste your money!!

Overall, not worth all the hype. Sure it has a beautiful ambiance and wonderful wait staff, but where it shines in service and atmosphere, it severely lacks in food and beverage quality and value. Overcooked shrimp, under fried oysters, and over seasoned appetizer ate what await you. All at an exuberant high price.

Wow,I don't know where to start with this review. I consider myself an avid seafood lover. Going to the Aquarium was my first experience . I'm 42 and I can honestly say as many times as I have eaten out in my life,this was by far my favorite. There was a 15 minute wait when I got there,I was seated in just about 10 minutes. While waiting I was able to explore the wonderful breathtaking scenery around me. The hostess asked if I liked to see a menu while I was waiting to be seated, but I chose to look at the amazing sea creatures that were all around me. When our food was brought to us, it was so beautifully put together. So elegant that you couldn't help but feel like royalty. The taste was absolutely perfection. Our waitress encouraged us to walk around and look at their main tank while waiting on dessert. When she brought us the dessert menu,it was fake dessert, presented on a well put together display. The dessert naturally tasted divine as well. There is no amount of stars that is to great for this restaurant.....The Aquarium is by far "The Favorite Seafood Destination Place."
