Finally made it into the store and the store did not disappoint!! The nice young ladies were friendly and helpful. They were glad to let me sample a few of the salads and spread so besides the shrimp, scallops and sheepshead, snapper I came home with Conch salad, smoked salmon and some Poke! The picture is the blue soft shell crabs I made a few weeks back when Heather came to visit, and I just had to share. Very Nice!! Thank you DS for making my week!!

I'm in love with this store! It's beautiful and the seafood case always looks very well put together and fresh. I've made it a mission to try about almost everything here. I've had the salmon, red snapper, tuna, shrimp, scallops, lobster, crab, crab cakes, salmon patties, ahi poke, crawfish and calamari salad. All have not dissapointed me. The calamari salad is a must try. By far my favorite thing. Worth the price! I love seafood and this is the closest to fresh seafood that you're gonna get out here in the midwest. I'm a Californian and I've also lived in the Pacific NW, so I know fresh seafood. They also carry an assortment of cheeses (The 8yr aged cheddar is my fav), spreads , dips, sauces and spices. I'm very happy that Dakota Seafood has come to Sioux Falls.

Very fresh, high quality seafood in a small supermarket. It's a bit pricey, but you do get what you pay for. This is the only place in Rapid City I trust for sushi-grade fresh seafood. They also carry a selection of organic produce, charcuterie meats and cheeses, sauces (their housemade shrimp cocktail sauce is fantastic) AND excellent beef steaks. Perhaps the best kept secret in Rapid City is that the best steaks come from the seafood market. They're about the same price as the grocery store chains but much higher quality.

Excellent place to buy sushi-grade fish. The staff was incredibly helpful. Prices are high, but as other reviewers have said, this is completely reasonable for being a LONG way from the ocean. I will definitely be a regular customer now that I have found this place.

Extremely fresh seafood, rivaling the quality of coastal retailers. They have done an amazing job sourcing quality products from around the world. They have knowledgeable staff who are happy to help you with questions like "what is it, where is it from, how should I cook it". They also have a nice selection of cheese, cured meats, exotic meats, and other hard to find delicacies. Now they even have organic produce!

Great little shop! Its unbelievable how many great and unique fish they rotate around and their shellfish absolutely puts other stores to shame (if you like scallops, these will ruin you for the lesser quality you'll find elsewhere so be warned)

How did we get lucky enough to get a place like this? Probably air travel. I try to support DSC as much as possible. They have some killer accompaniments to the freshest crustaceans and fish you can find out here. They team up with local restaurants and food trucks, so look out for that too.

This is a hidden gem. Fresh fish in fly over land! The owner was there and helped me decide amongst the 4 or 5 kinds of salmon (wild grilled on their cedar plank was awesome!) They had a great selection of fresh fish and crustaceans. They had many specialty products including spices and marinades. The recipe on the chalk board reminded me of the fishmarkets in Florida. My favorite part was when they opened the case to show a wide eyed little boy a live lobster! All of us customers were chuckling. They really made my day.

My daughter purchased a $200 gift for us at the Rapid city store last December. They did not give her a gift card they just said come and our name was down. We did, We spent a portion of the gift, and again no card for the balance. I was shown where the info was kept in the cash drawer and told to cone back in and give our name again. My husband came back in and we were told you are out of luck. We have no idea what changed between last spring and last week. We live 100 mikes away so frequent stop ins dont happen.
