Food isn’t good, packaging isn’t great. I ordered a Flounder fish sandwich, it was thrown in a bag, and the bag was saggy. Shrimps are good too, but the inside is very dirty. It isn’t clean and looks raggedy, good food though.

Delicious! You can either buy fresh seafood on ice right there at the market, or enjoy a plate made to order! I enjoyed their deep fried ocean scallop dinner, which included rice, coleslaw, and hush puppies; I ordered a horseshoe crab on the side. There was a great selection to choose from. The restaurant may look a little run down, but the food was outstanding.

A must go if you're visiting Horry County!!!! Been eating here since a child. If you're looking for food, that we eat and cook on the Coastal land of Horry County, check this place out. This is where its at. Fried Seafood and rice with some hot sauce, the best. They'll fry food for you as well.

First off your cashier said something that was not right I was talking to my husband which is Latin and told him they you all didn't have fresh orsters and the man said no not unless it's out of Mexico we also bought shrimp and pay 30 dollars which was no problem but the man didn't speak to us or anything then the young lady that's was in front of us he was talking to her and she ask him how much the fish was and then he told her it's ok I got you you can't even speak to us but you can give her more fish and carry on a full conversation with her I can care less you want to give her more fish for free but at least treat all of us the same this place I will never return and I can careless about what color you are but treat everyone like you want to treated

The reviews seem a little high. The fish was fried well, but it was not as fresh as I expected. Prices were slightly high, and atmosphere was dirty. If the place was clean and offered fresher ingredients it would have made all the difference, even if the exterior of the building isn't in the best of shape.

Small place seemingly dirty. Service mediocre take out only. Portions are large for price but product is just so so. Perch sandwich was 2 fishes butterflied with heads, tails and skin still attached. Breaded and fried with little to no seasoning and served only with slices of white bread. We will not be back.

A friend recommended Shelley's, so I went there for lunch today. I ordered a flounder sandwich and fries. When I got back to the office and opened the to-go bag, I couldn't believe it. Their idea of a fish sandwich is three pieces of fried flounder and three plain slices of white bread on the side. The fried fish wasn't even good. This was a complete waste of $12. To make things worse, the lady on the fryer was incredibly rude to every customer who had the nerve to place an order. I planned on visiting them again to purchase fresh seafood from their market, but I won't be back after this experience.

Ok the last two times I've been its a mess in there I was charged 17.11 for a Flounder Sand. And sweet potatoes fries.. employee said she would get with the owner and i would receive a call.Well that never happened....last time line was so long and greatly understaffed we left...

Their food is excellent. All fried...The Seafood deluxe platter was delicious and plentiful. More than the average person can eat. Perfect for two to share. If you have a large appetite, you won't be hungry afterwards. The Scallop dinner was also delicious. Though, most of the scallops looked to be pieces, not whole scallops. The downside is, this is a fish market. The fish smell is obviously strong, to be expected. But, it can be sickening for those with sensitive noses. I would highly suggest calling in your order.

Food was good! Got 3 huge filets of whiting, rice, hush puppies, slaw, and good sweet tea for $14.28. The fish was great, the rice was good, hush puppies I got weren't fresh but we're still good. Its not really a good dining atmosphere. Real dated building, small bathroom with a terrible toilet paper dispenser. Folks who work there are friendly, but there aren't any servers. Just order at the front, give you the food, and you can go have a seat. I'd go back for food, just know what to expect when going.
