This Fish Shop corresponds to the category of Seafood restaurant.
I'd give this 10 if I could! Perfect dinners all around! Steampot was my favourite. Wait staff was awesome.
This place has amazing seafood. Definitely recommended, you won't be disappointed. But if you're going during the summer or other popular vacation times you should call the day before to make a reservation. Walk in wait time can be an hour or two.
Food was ok. Loved the service. The waitress was top notch!!
Lovely ambiance. The crowd is great too.
Scallops were great. I've never seen such little fish bites they literally mean a bite. Seafood chowder is tastless.with little to no seafood. their hot sauce for the fish is just way too hot and unpleasant
Great food, great staff, no wait
Loved the menu and the variety it contained, as well as the food that we ordered. There's pretty much a meal for everybody (the lobster pot pie looked hearty and delicious), and the food comes with bread as an appetizer. My meal (mahi-mahi stuffed with crab and topped with a zesty sauce) was very good (grits were outstanding and the fish was cooked just right with outstanding sauce) but a little small on portion size. However, my dad ordered the steam pot for a similar price to my mahi mahi, and got a fantastic deal (lot of quality food, he told me), and my brother ordered crab legs, which were pretty good. Quite tasty, and overall decent portions. We had to wait a little, but the restaurant was slammed and did a fantastic job of seating and feeding us as quickly as possible. There's a bar out back, a small park outside the restaurant, and cornhole to play as well as photos of the marsh to be taken (great view outside the restaurant). Great experience.
Char grilled grouper with lobster risotto was very delicious. I am now making Hot Fish Club an annual visit whenever I come to Myrtle.
The best food, atmosphere and service in Murrells Inlet, bar none.
Mac & cheese with lobster was overcooked. Salmon sauce was very salty
Dinner, presentation and service was very good, nice menu. Great for a nice variety of seafood which can be prepared a few different ways. Front bar area was also nice but the main dining area was very loud and unappealing. Back dining room was quieter and there is outdoor dining and bar as well. Will return.
Great seafood. Outdoor Tiki Bar. Very nice.
Great food, lots of seating options, and amazing staf. Straightforward menu with easy substitutions. The wait staff will happily tell you their favorites along with the most popular dishes. You really cant order a bad dish here
Great food...music and service.
This place is an essential visit if you enjoy fresh and high quality seafood. Portion sizes are well-worth the price, especially if you catch the Early Bird Special. The service was very efficient with an accommodating and personable staff. They care about making sure the plate is how you want it. You also have an excellent marshland view to enjoy while eating. I’m looking forward to coming back soon and should take the time to come here and eat as well.
Enjoyable experience. A very friendly atmosphere and kid friendly too. Dinner was better than average. Cocktails were right on. Read about their history, its very interesting. I would recommend giving Hot Fish Club a try. You won't be disappointed.
The best seafood and views on the inlet. Always great service!
The fish dishes were all very good for our group. The lobster risotto was outstanding. I had the blackened snapper, and it was delicious. The tuna appetizer was also great. We will definitely be back.
Great food and great service! Yesterday I recommended this place to my daughter who is on a whole week vacation with her family for the first time. Really, REALLY good seafood.
Great atmosphere, Great Food we come here every year!
Excellent food! Excellent server! Highly recommend!
This place actually has real fantastic service and food very very good recommend to everyone and the pot pie was magnificent my son and my granddaughter had the two lobster tails and wife has a seafood platter my grandson had mac and cheese and fries nothing tasted other anything other than fantastic recommend everyone tried once you'll go back time and time again
Had the crab cakes. Loved them. Sat at the bar and received fantastic service. They have a pretty big menu. If you like sea food, yiu should go.
Best restaurant in the area, we will be back for sure.
You have to try the lobster pot pie! Great seafood and good live music at times. Sit outside if its not summertime, very nice out there.
Great spot. Very popular. Quality service. Menu is a nice size. Wine list offers wine flights as well. Lobster Mac & cheese appetizer was very nice. Fish entree options (grouper & mahi) were layered with spinach and lobster risotto. Mahi had cream meat between the fish layers--definitely recommend.
Our favorite restaurant in Murrell’s Inlet. So handy that they take reservations. Food & service is great. A wide variety of seafood options & specials.
Worst meal I ever had don't ever order any oysters there. Sick as a dog an hour later. To be fair my friends all had the lobster pi and we're very happy with it. But I'm by the side of the road throwing up after we had to stop so I could get rid of the runs. God I hope I get it out of my system soon
The food is just fantastic. Great portion size. The bam bam shrimp are such a great appetizer. Consistently good.
Very good food & service.
They have an array of different types of food on the menu cooked the way you want it. You can get it fried , broiled, grilled or blackened. Very fresh and great tasting seafood. You will not be disappointed. I will be back soon!
It's ok. Lively atmosphere with connected walkway views of marsh between 3 neighboring (same owner?) restaurants/bars.
Great food, service and atmosphere..!
Best dinner I have had all week. Location less crowded and not as loud as most on marsh walk area. More family feeling. Delicious food and excellent service. We had Alex as our waiter and he was very professional and knew the menu to explain any questions that we had. We will definitely return another time.
Good food & welcoming & great service! The calamari appetizer & the early bird seafood platter was awesome!
5 Stars all the way around Service & Food!
I ordered an early bird entree--Flounder with fries and grilled zucchini. The fish was overcooked, very dry and veggies were undercooked and I had difficulty cutting through them. To be fair, l should have sent the meal back and ordered something else. My husband had the early bird crabcake and baked potato w slaw & he enjoyed the meal. We have eaten at this restaurant several times and it's always been a good dining experience. Their lobster pot pie is my favorite. We will dine at Hot Fish again but no fried fish for me! Please don't serve undercooked veggies.
Always a great experience. We stop here every time we're in the area. Been coming here for 7 plus and have never been disappointed.
Good place. Outside bartender had attitude. But the drinks were good and maybe the guy was having a bad day. Food was exceptional and we ate ate and ate more.
Excellent food at a very reasonable price. The service was pretty good. The day we were there they were having issues with their A/C so it was warm in the restaurant.
My mom order a flounder platter, on her plate was 3 pieces of small fish 2 small hush puppies a small potato and coleslaw for 18 bucks and change. Her plate did not look like a platter at all. She tasted her fish she said it tasted like cod fish
Great casual atmosphere. Great view of the inlet. Great food at reasonable prices. Great, friendly service. Loved it.
Fantastic food and drinks. The service was wonderful. I can't say enough about how great everything was. Beautiful views of the marsh
Food is great, but the table management is awful. Arrived at 6, told 45 min wait, by 7:30, was still 30-45 min wait. Just poor service. We would have been fine if someone told us it was a 2 hour wait, but we consistently got bad information from the hostess. We literally asked multiple times about the wait and were told 30 minutes. Checked in at 6, finally got a table notification at 8, had already left and gone somewhere else. I’m never coming back here, a lot of better options on PI.
Fabulous service and food. Delicious drinks and my favorite is Fakey the orange cat
Great food, service and atmosphere at a good price
Food and prices very good staff very friendly
Crab cake sandwich and crab stuffed mahi were both excellent, as were the key lime and peanut butter pies!
Very good, eat there often, shhhhh, don't let the secret out
Great place! Back to being one of the best on the Inlet in our book. We had great service, great bartender, great food!
Good food....decent prices....good atmosphere
It was delicious! We had a nice table overlooking the marsh. My husband had fried shrimp platter and I had shrimp in lemon butter over angel hair. The portions were generous. Wait staff was awesome. I recommend making reservations. It is a busy place.
Good service and menu options. This was my second visit and was a little disappointed in a couple things. I ordered the inlet mule which is described as served with mint sprigs and powdered sugar and a lime. My drink had none of these garnishes. I ordered the lobster pot pie and the taste and topping was great, but I just couldn't find any lobster in it. There was tiny shrimp and scallops as advertised, but very little lobster if any. Another in our party had some type of combo dish with shrimp, flounder and oysters. All was good except flounder was mushy when I tried it. I like the outdoor area and atmosphere of this place, so I'll give it another go in the future.
Had the Cobia for the first time... Cooked firm with spicy sauce... Ribs were fall off the bone... Was real good came with a nice side of rice, corn and fries...had a coupon for the restaurant which was responsible for our visit... Definitely will be back... Make reservations because we waited 45 minutes
Order the chicken fried chicken...you will thank me later. Then stay for a drink & enjoy the band!
Excellent service and the food was amazing.
The blackened black sea bass with melon vineagrette was so fabulous! The fish was caught today, and the dish was a perfect mix of sweet and spicy. Beautiful view! I would definitely come back!
Perfect place for an outdoor wedding. Area is gorgeous and picturesque.
Its really good one of the best seafood places ive been
Food: I loved this place. I felt that everyone who visits Myrtle Beach should go to this place. Every thing we ordered were really good. We have Low Country Steam Pot (the best), Crab Legs Pot, Blackened Red Snapper, and Shrimp Platter. Apparently, the Low Country Steam food originated in this county. 5/5 Price: This is not a cheap place by definitely wroth your every single penny. 5/5 Service: Initially we were told that waiting will be an hour, but we decided to seat at the patio. Our server seemed very knowledgeable, and he was fast as well. 5/5 Environment: We sat outside so the patio table was sticky, but the view of the Inlet was very relaxing. Plus there is a live music at this place. The performer even sang a french song which was kind of cool. 5/5 Overall, I would definitely advice people to try this place. Don't waste your time at the downtown or the north beach.
Pan seared scallops, Lobster Pot Pie, Shrimp and Grits were amazingly delicious!
Great service good seafood marsh setting with outside gazebo live band big bar fun place to dine and party
Fabulous food. Can't wait to go back
What a great experience! Got there on a Sunday night around 7pm to an hour and a half wait for a party of 4. We decided to drive down the main drag to kill some time and then headed back to the restaurant. The bar and waiting area are extremely spacious and very family friendly. I ordered the stuffed Mahi Mahi and the wife got the blackened red snapper. They were both out of this world! The lobster risotto was incredible. You Ansley can't go wrong here and I promise it is worth every minute you may have to wait to eat there.
Value good early bird special good view good service . Fish platter good
Was recommended to come here for seafood as it was one of the best seafood restaurants around. Staff was pleasant and nice, atmosphere nice as well. Maybe my expectations were set too high but the food was mediocre at best. We arrived with a group of 5 so we each had something different. The fried calamari was awful - Chewy and luke warm. The pan seared scallop app was a little better but the luke warm temp turned us off a bit. The best meal by far was the Lobster pot pie. Hot, tasty and well made. Crab Cakes were average, nothing special. Again the temperature of the food was disappointing. The Grouper was very good, Red Snapper ok. While the food was not awful it really was average at best.
Excellent is all I can say...!!!
My first time and I absolutely loved it! Awesome food and people! My new favorite go to place!
Absolutely amazing! I had the Blackend Mahi stuffed with crab meat over spinach and grits drizzled in a lemon aoli. It was amazing to say the least!
Great food! Good enviroment! Had the steak (cooked perfect), green beans (taste was excellent) and the mashed potatoes (what can you say about mashed potatoes) highly recommend the restaurant. Need to get their early due to the wait at times.
Amazing food the BamBam shrimp blows Bonefish out of the water. The view is beautiful and the atmosphere is like you're on vacation. Bar and waitstaff are friendly and laid back. My favorite resturant in the area hands down!
Got the fish tacos and lobster rolls, with homemade key lime pie for dessert. The lobster rolls were very delicious
Very good sea food place in Myrtle Beach.
Been here twice in the last 3 years and it was great both times. Very good, fresh seafood. Best shrimp and grits I've ever had.
Great place, Great atmosphere, incredible views, excellent service and delicious food!!! Live band was an added bonus!!! Definitely will visit again!
Best restaurant we have eaten at in the Grand Strand. Wonderful food service and atmosphere!
Love this place! Best local seafood on the Strand...
Located in Murrell Inlet beautiful little hideaway. Small bar area. Dining area is nice. My friends thought the Food was good.i had Lobster pie whivh was very tasty and included scallops, shrimp and lobster in a tasty white cream sauce. service was good. I would go again.
Food was incredible! Great view and atmosphere! Loved it.
Consistently excellent over the last five years.
Great fun, great crowd, braved the Heat and we had a ball!
Worth the wait! Had no reservations, but the staff was willing to seat us in 30-40 mins. We wanted inside dining, but could've eaten at the bar or the 'gazeebo' instead.waited it out, got the backroom..scenic & quiet! Our waitress,Michelle was friendly & courteous giving us menu tips &great service! The Lobster &seafood pie was truly delicious and reasonably priced. Desert & coffee was a must, had the pecan pie and the banana foster smaller portions but yummy! We've eaten at many on the Murrell's Inlet strip, this is one of the best! My advice call ahead, get there early.
Food is really good. Atmosphere is laid back and fun in the gazebo. We sat in the restaurant one eve. And the gazebo the second visit. A definite place to try when in town
Price and quality. Great atmosphere.
We dined here twice; Alex was our server both times. The fresh grouper with veggies and potato. The food is fresh and the chef us creative with ingredients and flavors. Second night we tried scallops and a few appetizers like sampler and mushrooms. The owner, Cindy, is on board and checks in with guests thoughout restaurant.
Our dinner was delicious! Portions were larger than expected. The mahi, grouper, and salmon were prepared perfectly. Our server John was also outstanding. We will definitely be back!
Less crowded and noisy compared to the Marshwalk restaurants. That is enough for me. This place has everything. The food is great, they have a great area outside for waiting, a huge music venue for after dinner drinks, a walkway on the water, and probably more stuff I didn't see. We eat here every time we go on vacation.
This was my third visit to Hot Fish and the food and service was as good as the first and second time. Had the she crab soup which was very flavorful and full of chunks of crab. Had the lobster pie which was excellent. I Reserved our table through Open Table App the day before our reservation. The App was easy to use and very convenient. Overall, Hot Fish will always be one of my "go to" eateries in Murrells Inlet.
Food was awesome and bar service was great. This will be a regular stop for now on.
This was our first trip to the Hot Fish Club. Service was excellent and the food was even better! The Oysters Rockefeller was a little different than some I've had, but still quite good. The fried flounder was probably the best I have had in the Myrtle Beach/ Calabash area. My wife had the chicken fried chicken and was also delicious. The ham and onion gravy that came with it was good, but was lacking a little in ham taste. The garlic butter that came with the rolls was out of this world. We will definitely be back the next time we're in the MB area.
We ate dinner here during a business trip. Best decision ever! The super steam pot was great but could have used more shrimp.
One of the best seafood meals I've ever had
Food was excellent. Sadly I had to ask for silverware. Then waitress asked if my husband needed another beer when food came, and he said yes and didn't get it. We has to ask a 2nd time. But again food was amazing but our appetizer of scallops was cold. Other than that we were ok. Not sure if I would come back though. We had to break bread and dip it in butter cause we didn't have any silverware again.
Great food and great service.
Again, my favorite restaurant—in the South. I own a restaurant in the greater Charlotte, NC area, & still defer to HFC as my favorite, especially for special occasions. It’s a gem to find & worth the wait (every time)!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Excellent good and service! We had the filet and pan seared scallops. Very good!
Cabana bar staffers are top notch. Good selection and recommendation s were on point.
Better than expected. I got their world famous Lobster pot pie with turned out to be very delicious. A family member liked the Cobia fish which was served with black beans. Don't get filled up on their homemade rolls of which are melt-in-your-mouth! Even though it's at the far end of Murrells Inlet, it is well worth the drive. We are looking forward to the expansion into the next door property as well.
She crab was great. The salmon was delicious. The flounder was also very good. Good service.
One of the better seafood places in Murrells Inlet. May cost a bit more than surrounding places but it’s worth it for the seafood. Great shrimp and oysters. Fried okra is a great side. Large menu with a lot of variety, would like to try a lot of it. This gazebo bar is also very cool.
Had the grouper, lightly grilled. Good service (Michelle), nice ambiance. Live music out on the covered porch/bar area. View of the beautiful marsh. Will return.
Really nice place witha tiki bar out near the marsh . Good drinks , never are there , but i heard its good , if u like seafood , i dont .
Excellent food and service. I ordered the Hot Fish Platter with Scallops (Fried) and it was fantastic. So was the rest of our party of 9's meal. Great place for authentic Carolina seafood.
Food is great! Service was excellent. We ate there 3 times during our 1 week visit.
Awesome staff, awesome food and a beautiful view! Ask to sit out on the screened in patio and watch the sunset over the inlet! I always order a steam pot and grouper bites! Always fresh and always delicious!
Good food good service nice view
It's my most favorite place! Friendly locals. Wonderful staff. Beautiful views. Cold beer. I don't get there enough. Went this past Sunday with my fiancee. It was her first time. Didn't take her long to say" this is my new favorite place". I went almost ten years ago and fell in love with the place. Been busy for a couple years and haven't made it back. So glad we went yesterday. Best time we've had in awhile. I'm so glad my future wife loves it as much as I always have. Thank y'all so much!
Every time we come to the area, we stop here. Absolutely the best food you can eat. I wish I could eat here every day. If you are in the area and you don't eat here, you are a fool.
Excellent food at a reasonable price!! Fantastic service!!
Fish mains are great. Love the fried chicken. Can get noisy at prime time.
The food tonight was off the hook literally and figuratively! Everything was delicious and prepared to perfection. Excellent staff. We used the Open Table app to make our reservation which I also highly recommend!
Excellent service with Heather at the bar. Cindy as Hostess. John serving food. Owners are friendly and attentive to their customers comfort and needs. . Food is delicious and made with attention to detail. Portions are large. Great menu to choose from. Vistited the area for 1 week. Ate there 4 times. My vote it's THE BEST in the entire area of Murrells Inlet. A must if visiting.
Music was great. Pet monsters. Service good
Food was a little expensive, but serving sizes we're good and food was fresh. Overall pleasant place!
Absolutely loved the food and service. Problem was... I asked for one of the IPA beers on draft for $5.00. The server came back and said they were out of that beer. So I asked for another beer that was not on tap and was$3.00 more. I asked the server since they were out of my original request of the beer on tap, could she please charge me for the tap beer. Didn’t work! Really not right.
Our group ate outside and the waiter was awesome. He was very attentive and present when we needed him and very friendly. The food was awesome!
Great dinner! The menu had a nice variety of sushi and land and sea fare. Uncertain what to order the fish was recommended by our server. The local fish, which tasted like lobster, was prepared perfectly and was absolutely delicious. Our server was fantastic and he added to our pleasant experience. We'll be stopping again.
Visited Myrtle Beach for their Fall Rally Bike Week and the Murrells Inlet is the place to go. Our crew likes to enjoy the water view so we hunted for the perfect restaurant. We definitely found a stunning view, with true southern hospitality and charm. And the food wow! The four of us ordered four different meals and they were all perfectly delicious! Not a single bite left. The photos of the food taste as good as it looks. Would definitely go back.
Sat outback with a party of 11. The view is amazing as always of the inlet. Service was attentive and top notch. Food was delicious to the last nibble. This was my first time there and I will return. Excellent.
Excellent seafood, excellent service, excellent atmosphere. The steamer pots are the best I've ever had. We make it a point to visit every time we're down this way.
great food very nice and efficient staff
Hot Fish Club is incredible! When you combine the food quality, the atmosphere, and the quality of service, you get the best experience in Murrells Inlet. I can not recommend this establishment highly enough.
Great food in one of the first restaurants in Murrells Inlet. The staff is friendly and the food is fresh, and the views are best at sunset. It is worth a stop if you are looking for good food with a relaxed atmosphere.
The atmosphere is great and the food is pretty good. Was not too impressed tonight with the food, not sure what I ordered is what I actually got. The prices are common to the area but their bar drinks are way over priced for what you get!! The early bird specials are small so don't expect to get full. Desserts are decent but who puts cherry drizzle on key lime pie? I guess that's supposed to constitute the 6 bucks they charge for it. I am a local and this is a great place for tourist!
Loved the steam pot!!! Exactly what I was craving - just the "stuff", none of the "fluff". My sweet husband and I shared it and it was plenty. We have a new spot!!
Our first-ever visit did not disappoint. Broad menu with plenty of appetizers, soup, salads, and a wide variety of seafood and non-seafood entrees. Prices are moderately high, but not touristy, and they offer wine, beer and mixed drinks. Alex was terrific with our party, knew the menu, was very attentive to our table and was genuinely friendly. We had some picky eaters, and they loved the food. Need I say more?
What a fantastic meal and service! Highly recommend everyone check this place out.
This place is wonderful. I had the stuffed mahi-mahi over grits and I cleaned my plate. It was perfectly cooked and flavored. My husband had the snapper and it was also cooked to perfection. The price is amazingly reasonable for the quality of food that you get here.
Great prices on drinks. However, the rum and coke was gross, water down, and flat. The bartender was rude which is why I only gave it 3 stars. Didn't eat dinner as their prices were a bit too high.
Love this place! Food is great and the "Zebo" is always a great time!
Great service and excellent food.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere, location on the Marsh. Leaves time for a walk your meal; plenty to see. The locals flock here, and that is always a good sign. I will be back.
Great food and friendly staff. Highly recommend
Hubby had seafood platter small portion and loved it. I liked the outdoor tables and they have bands at night. I like the place.
So glad we made reservations! This place was busy on a Tuesday. The food, service, and view was amazing! Beautiful views of the marsh. The restaurant backs up to a small memorial park for those who are lost at sea. We enjoyed walking around the park after our dinner. We found out there is a small play ground behind the restaurant as well. If we were locals, Hot Fish Club would be our spot! Live music on the gazebo overlooking the marsh could not be more perfect. We were recommended to come here by a friend, and we want to return the favor by recommending everyone to come here!
Over the years I've eaten at most of the restaurants in the Inlet and Hot Fish Club is my favorite. Great Service and always been very happy with the Menu. I had the Filet with Scallops with lumps of crab meat. It came with mash potatoes and spinach. The filet was cooked to perfection and scallops melted in my mouth. My wife ordered the Hot Fish Trio and enjoyed her dish. You can never go wrong at Hot Fish Club.
If you are looking for seafood this is the place. Casual dining with good views. Excellent choices. I had the grouper tacos I could not finish the portion was so large. My bride had she crab soup and tuna. She was happy.
This place is Amazing Will definitely be back Everyone needs to see this place
Had reservations, so no wait for a table on a busy Friday evening. I don't think wine list at table was as large as online list - but we enjoyed a nice choice. Grouper Fingers were our appetizer and they were yummy. I had grilled flounder and it was good. My partner had a Mahi fish dish with crab and grits that was so very good. Oh wow. I'll get that next time. Dessert was a slice of Key Lime Pie. Service was good. Food came out quickly. Reasonable bill.
The best she crab soup! Such a variety on this menu!
Really wonderful dining. Food was fabulous!
We came here in 2018 and returned in 2019 and it didn't disappoint. Some of the freshest seafood. Had the charbroiled grouper with lobster risotto cooked to perfection. Lobster Mac and Cheese bites delicious appetizer. Piping hot bread is a staple of this place. Oysters were fresh and delicious. Service was outstanding as always. Will return again. Also great picturesque area out back for selfies galore after enjoying a great meal and seafood dining experience extraordinaire.
Very good food the yellow fin tuna is the best I've had
Hot fish club has always been our go to vacation date night spot. The super steam pot or steamer sampler being our favorites but everything we’ve had is great. Tonight was extra special because the service was above and beyond restaurant standard. Becky was our server and was personable, knowledgeable, and very prompt. She had all the answers to our many questions and had great recommendations. Thank you Becky for adding something special to our favorite spot!!
Way, way too expensive! Food tasted great but you didn't get enough for what you paid for.
Food was delicious! Bartender very accommodating, we ate outside in the gazebo listening to live music. 5 star meal on a casual atmosphere
Drunk Southern Girls and live music. These are a few of my favorite things
Amazing place! Amazing food, great service and atmosphere etc etc! Such a fun place to have a bite to eat and drink. The music is good and the food is fantastic. They have a GREAT play area for the kids and lot's of things to see in the water on the marsh. Kids had a great time. It is perfect for a family. I am also vegan and they made me an incredible dish of pasta with the most incredibly seasoned veggies. Highly recommend this place. We went twice we loved it so much!
