I had an awesome filet dinner with baked potato and fresh green beans that would be hard to beat. I ate it all and I don't usually eat much. It was fantastic.

Went to the market in the back and bought great fish for a fair price - sweet spot and the food smelt awesome!

John Sopet

Waited for food for almost an hour and it never came. I did receive my appetizer after 30 minutes. We were told that we should have our food within he next couple orders. After an hour I just paid for my appetizer and left. This level of service is unacceptable.

Colleen Palomino

Good stop before boarding the ferry.

Sandra Derbacher

Food was terrible. We went here on Thursday around 6:30. It wasn't very busy. It took about an hour to get our food after being told numerous times the were sorry and were plating our food. When we finally got the meal it was overcooked and tasted lousy. We had fried scallops and whole belly clams. A friend had a simple hot dog and it was cold. Been going to Block Island for almost 30 years and never had an experience like this. The manager removed them from our bill and said sorry again never offering anything for our inconvenience. Will never be back to this place.

Kenneth Sawka

Great food and great spot

Good luck finding your waitress or anyone who works there throughout the meal. I had to find a jug of water on the bar and serve myself water twice, which was warm. Hair in crabcake, but couldnt find anyone to tell. Calamari mushy.

I love the food.....great service

Ordered a hot lobster roll and it was fantastic - lot of meat and a very toasty bun with friendly service. The lobster boil was just okay - four mussels and two clams and two small chorizo slices and a cold half potato. Four stars due to the lobster roll.

On my recent visit to Block Island, friends went to the newly renovated Finn's. We were happy to see standard menu items, but enjoyed the brusell sprouts appetizer, the quinoa salad and the fish taco! Flavor and portion size were excellent.

Alec Newcomb

Food is great as always. Service is better than much of the island. Hostess excuses we're truly painful.

Matthew Thompson

Stopped here for a quick bite before boarding the ferry. Waitstaff was quick and attentive. Ordered the chowder, lobster rolls and a beer. Everything served quickly and at the right temperature. The chowder was very good and the lobster roll was just what we asked for. A bit on the pricy side, but expected given the location. We would stop here again.

Went in there with a good mood to finish off the day but ended up being sour. The table next to us that ordered after us got their food before us. It must have been a busy time for them because I noticed our waitress tell the table next to us that the food will arrive a little late but didn't bother to tell us anything. We waited for 50 hungry minutes. Not once did the waitress come to give an update on the order. Instead we had to flag her down and ask. So I walked out. If I'm paying for an overpriced seafood dinner then I want service to match what I'm paying.

Great dinner with a great rooftop View. Our waiter was fast and friendly. Answered all our questions on our menu suggestions.

Sophia Clark

Oddly enough my expectations were low because they switched owners and are now trendy. That being said the food was really good, the drinks were even better. I will miss my twin cull lobster special. Supposedly they will have it every once and a while. I don't think it will be the same but I still would go for their regular menu.

Michael Tellier

Fried clams were terrible. The view is crappie. I can see a similar parking lot in Bridgeport.

Sarah Smith

Worst place I've ever experienced. Food is horrible, they can't seem to know the difference between medium rare and well done, and their management is absolutely horrendous. If I could give 0 stars i would. Save yourself from this over priced restaurant!!!

I wanted to write to tell you how much we enjoyed your restaurant this past weekend. My husband was recently confined to a wheelchair and although we had a great weekend with family, we found it very hard to find places on the island to accommodate us. On our last day, we were looking for a place to have lunch before we got on the ferry. We happened to come across your restaurant. it was easy to navigate the wheelchair. The host was wonderful and let us sit closest to the wheelchair access. I don't remember his name, but he was great. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. She checked on us numerous times. She was friendly. The food came out quick and was by far the best meal we had out all weekend. We just want to thank you so much for a pleasant experience. It was the first time my husband and I have been away since he got sick in January and we really appreciated your hospitality. We will be recommending your establishment to family and friends. Thank you again!

My favorite item at Finn's is the mussels. It's a large serving and the broth is delicious. I only wish there was more bread to sop up all the sauce after the mussels have been eaten. Good value as well.

Jesse Marek

We Loved Finn's Patio

David Simkins

Finn's has gotten a nice update with a lounge area and updated seating. The menu is classic New England Seafood with a little flair. Old Bay seasoning finds its way onto the fries and the the whole belly clam roll is a New England Favorite.

Alison Hoffman

Deeelicious food. Yes I know the spelling is wrong but the food was that good to misspell the word.

I had dinner Saturday night before leaving the island. It was horrible. Do not try to pass a dish if your cooks have no idea how to make it. I questioned the waitress and she said the shrimp were stuffed with a lobster. NO!!!! The shrimp had a ball of bread crumbs with scraps of lobster saturated in butter. The only taste was of butter. We had waited for this gross dish. I was hungry and did not have the patience to wait for another dish.

Stephen crasco

The food was very good. The service was excellent and friendly.

Been going there for over 10 years. This weekend was the worst. The only good thing was the service. Food was so so, management was bad, new menu was kinda limited. Guess that is why we walked right in on Saturday night in July.

Gerald Ayers

Very disappointed that they eliminated the French onion soup

Mary Fox

Seafood restaurant off of the ferry. The whole belly clams were good but nothing special. The fries were nice and crispy but I don't usually frequent seafood restaurants for their fries. The clam chowder was tasty, bit expensive for the small cup but worth for the taste.

Jess Wronowski’s new project, having taken over management of Finn’s Restaurant, is amazing. Following up on her well-deserved success with Dead Eye Dick’s, the restaurant got a much needed facelift and the menu got a much improved upgrade. Different than Dead Eye’s, the menu has more contemporary takes on the seafood “fry shack” choices, but also offers the good old crowd-pleasing favorites, including the best clam chowder and fried clams on the island. Additions like the Grain Bowl, tacos w/ pickled vegetables, perfectly fried chicken sandwich with pimento cheese, and the best burger on the island are some of my favorites. The southern accents from Chef Ferguson’s Alabama roots make everything on the menu that more flavorful and interesting. Also, where else can you get quality, bespoke, mixologist-level cocktails like the Mezcal Gent w birch liqueur , the Something Blue w White Oak Rum, or the Cherry Red Rye with Rittenhouse Rye and reposado tequila on the island? However, I prefer the Negroni made w Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth. And great beers on tap too! Like Dead Eye’s, Finn’s starts with high quality ingredients and great service. Oh, and the kitschy place settings and glasses are a great touch. Hurry up and get there before the rest of the island figures it out. Congrats to the whole team!

This place was horrible from when I entered...I should have turned away as soon as I walked in but decided to give it a try. Went there with a group of 5 girls, mind you they had just opened at 11:30 so they were not overwhelmed. The service was the worst I've ever experienced. The waitress was rude and clearly did not like her job. Ordered the stuffed flounder at 20.95?! You would think at that price it would be delicious but definitely not the case, it was gross. Overall, would not recommend this place overpriced and rude staff with bland food.

Robert Buzzell

We were at the seafood market. The man waiting on us was caustic and insulting. He threatened to assault us.

This place always has great service. We showed up with a large bachelorette party right off the ferry at lunch time. We were seated immediately and had attentive servers. The food is delicious too, and the drinks are fun!

Brian Krivitsky

Had a great dinner in a perfect setting, including excellent drinks! What is more enjoyable - sun, fresh salt air, overlooking ferries and boats, and just in town. Can't wait to visit again!

Reliable spot to take the kids for fresh traditional seafood although as other reviewers have said, eating indoors in the pretty brick-walled dining room is a lot nicer than their outdoor parking lot patio with its uncomfortable plastic furniture. Great homemade pies, decent sangria, and fast service.

Slooooow kitchen but good cocktails

Great choice for a drink and a meal at the end of a day on Block Island. We like it because it's not usually as crowded as some of the other more popular places. The drinks are well made, the menu has many options and the food is quite good. They have a nice deck on the second floor that is open but covered. Good place to go when you have to catch a ferry since it overlooks the lot. We were all very happy with our meals including 2 teens and a gluten-free member.

Victor Sampietro

Horrible...absolutely the worst..had stuffed clams for app...dried out..reheated...clam strip dinner for me...whole clams for her...so terrible..the stops were dried...the whole two of them...rest was dried out batter...will never again.,,you've been warned

Michele Warner

My brother and I went out for lunch at Finn's the other day for a bowl of clam chowder. They brought us 2 very small cups and we said that we had ordered the bowls. The server checked with the kitchen and told us this was the only size they had. Ok. I have had many chowders in my lifetime but this one was the worse one I have ever tasted! Don't know how the base was made but it was aweful. I wound up scooping out what little potatoes and clams that I could and left the rest of the broth! We had also ordered Parker House rolls to go with our chowder and they were a disappointment also. Who puts large grains of sea salt on these rolls and only served them with hot pepper jelly or spicy butter??? I was very upset. We have eaten at Finn's every time we visit but since they changed hands their food quality leaves a lot to be desired!

This place is a tourist trap if they're ever has been one. Lobster rolls are about 5 inches long $22, clam chowder was about 3 shot glasses worth $7 ( almost no Clams) wanted $3 Per Oyster.... The views, even on the balcony, were of the parking lot. Waitress forgot order twice and never brought us our drinks. So much for trying new places.

Mike Dziedzic

Hair found in crab cake, ceasar salad had no dressing on it, asked for side of dressing and recieved mayo? Servers are running around but good luck trying to get ones attention

Evan Hiersche

The fish market at Finn's is the best place on the island to grab something to cook at home - the fish is literally taken off the boat and brought here for sale. The restaurant, however, has seen better days. Stay away from the calimari - it's on about the same level as McDonalds, if they served seafood.

Orane Sharpe

Definitely worth going, excellent selection of fish and Sushi Bob is master when it comes to making sushi!

Forget the past. New management means it's a new restaurant. Tuna Poké Tacos with kimchi and tempura hard shells are insanely good, but there's only 2 so you need a double order. Quinoa salad and fried Brussels sprouts were also amazing. Inventive modern cuisine in an unassuming old school restaurant. Totally unexpected.

Michael Summers

The wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit! GREAT seafood sampler that includes the BEST smoked fish, decent portion size too. Short walk away from the ferry and beach. 10% off at the bar. Can't beat it.

Luke LaPointe

Best fish & chips we’ve ever had! Perfectly fried: piping hot, crisp, but not greasy. So good we got it again to make sure we hadn’t dreamt it! And brought friends. Our friends had a plate of oysters as well, and were singing their praises. We made a handful of trips to the fish market throughout our stay on the island. Great service, excellent fresh fish, and good recommendations for cooking items we weren’t as familiar with. Will be back!

Anthony Lopez

Finn's has fantastic fries!! I know it's just fries, but they are phenomenal. The fish tacos are good and the quinoa bowls come with a lot of stuff in them. The wait staff is incredibly friendly. The best place to sit is upstairs on the balcony.

A favorite spot for over four decades to enjoy a pint of steamers and a pint of beer. Done in or do take-out. Also, visit their fish market for live BI lobsters, smoked tuna, bluefish or mackerel and whatever's in season.

Absolutely terrible. I ordered a fish sandwich that arrived on a hamburger roll. The fish was about the size of two fish sticks. McDonalds has a much better product.

The bar is a great place to cool off and relax. You can get Sun Farm oysters (from BI) here. Dave, our bartender, was extremely friendly and attentive.

This was probably our best meal decision made on Block Island. The food is fantastic - our favorite place to eat. We got fried fish and chips and it was amazing. Even the cole slaw was delicious. You didnt get that old oil taste from the fried items. It all tasted fresh. The clams were the best I've had in years. The service was fast and friendly and they were extremely accommodating during a busy day. The drink menu is a must see. They had great drinks. I purchased the secret cocktail (written in small print on the bottom of the menu) which was so good. It had glazed donut vodka in it. Perfect blend of sweetness. Will definitely be making a trip back here. Stop here for good seafood and drinks!!!
