Took forever to get our food. And was way over-priced. The clam chowder was watery, had only one clam, and was chock full of undercooked potates for 3.50. Also took about 15 minutes to get it. We got our clamless stuffies before it which were 5 bucks for 2. By the time we got the seafood platter we were splitting, we weren't even hungry anymore. I filled up on the half glass of soda I drank because the iced tea I ordered was so bad I couldn't drink it. Then the bill came. Didn't have to wait long for that. It was $45.00. Haven't eaten the platter yet, but it wasn't exactly over flowing with food and the small amount of fries that are on it look very unappetizing. Will never return to this establishment. I feel totally ripped off.

I dropped this rating from 5 stars to 4 stars, not because of the fish and chips, but because of the breakfast I just had. Excellent fish and chips served everyday they're open! I bought the large fish and chips, it came with a massive piece of fresh cod! Breakfast is middle of the road, with one good server and one that's been doing the job so long that she's clearly tired of doing it. I saw in the reviews, here, that someone claims this place has excellent coffee. This simply isn't true, unless you're one of those people that think really low quality coffee is good because it's bitter and has no flavor. It's only $2.50 with free refills, but don't show up thinking you're going to drink good coffee; you're not

Hands down the best place you can go for breakfast. The home fries are made from scratch and everything else is just beyond phenomenal ... it's all fresh! Oh, and if you're looking for good fish n chips.. this is your goto place!!

Employees are helpful and calm. Nice atmosphere, OUTSTANDINGLY DELICIOUS food! My favorite days are Sundays because they serve breakfast all day. Also, snatch a window seat if you can because it's a beautiful view.

Hold on! This is the BEST Fish & Chips in RI. The Best Cod Fish & Chips in the state! The intimacy of this place is contagious... OK...You are likely to have to wait of an evening to get a table... Go at lunch. They are not open many evenings... Wait! Breakfast??? Awesome Waffles here, Eat them here or make your own. If you have to crawl, Make the pilgrimage!, this is what it is supposed to be like! "Authentic" is their Base Line, This place Rocks!

This place is a jewel tucked away in the Buttonwoods section of Warwick.RI. Quality meals prepared to order and generous portions. The staff is genuinely friendly and efficient. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, (check schedule) you will not be disappointed.

We had a craving for fish and chips so, thanks to Google, we found Buttonwood Fish & Chips. We had four orders of Fish & Chips, and they were excellent! The fries were a little soggy, but it was a takeout order with a 10 minute drive, so I want to try them again when we eat there for the first time. Great place in a hole in the wall location, but worth the hunt!

Buttonwoods was so warm and hospitable. When they learned that I had never been to Rhode Island, they brought out food for me to try that is unique to their state. Their fish and chips were WONDERFUL!!! They were in a light tempura type batter - which I prefer so you can actually taste the fish! The peanut butter chocolate pie was SO TASTY!!! AMAZING!!

Back when a has growing up it was a good place to get fish &chips to go. Went there at 11am looking for fish & chips was told it was to early. So we decided to stay for breakfast which turned out to be a mistake prices for breakfast are crazy 2 eggs sausage hf.toast $9 and home fries where over cooked and hard.french toast with some bacon another $9 which has wet and not cooked. When they said it was to early for fish &chips I should have just walked out.

This place is very charming and the food is great! The husband and wife duo run the place. The wife served us and told us the story of how they came to start the restaurant. My brother and dad are from out of town so they gave us for free some RI wieners to give us a taste of a local traditional. I can't wait to go back for breakfast!
