We went to this local pet store to buy a dwarf hamster. They had three in stock, and while trying to show them to us, the sales lady dropped two of them on the floor; both crashing into the concrete floor with a loud THUNK. It sounded painful. One of the two escapees was still missing when we left. While checking out, the owner warned us not to drop the hamster because they get hurt easily. Good advice! We bought the undropped hamster and couldn't be happier. He's very healthy, and he's smart enough to not jump out of our hands.

I loved all the big tanks and Lumpy the turtle. There are a lot of huge fish tanks with salt water dish including sharks and there are fresh water dish also, turtles, birds and snakes lizards. I loved going there

It's ok... It's great if you are looking for anything to do with fish or the typical dog/ cat. But it's not worth the drive of you own anything else and want items for your pet reptile/insect/ monkey ect. There is a small 3x2 foot corner dedicated to reptile/amphibian care and a strip of wall with zoo med and insect feeding care. Everything else has to do with the dog/cat/fish/hampster arrangement. Like a typical petsmart. They do have snakes and turtles for sale in the back. But be prepared to buy everything else for it some place else.

You can tell that you're in the right place when you see tanks that have been established for 20-plus years flourishing in the salt water department the staff is all very knowledgeable and friendly I just went home with two nice pieces of coral and three different species of Tang. Very happy.

Have always gotten great service here and have never seen dirty enclosures or sickly animals, that can be common at the big box stores. They care about the animals. Questions are happily answered and if you have any problems they help whenever they can. Worth the trip everytime even just for a look around.

This is the true story of Pet Zone...Bill St. and Bill Jr. are the most knowledgeable people in NEPA for fish and pet care. I've been to all the aquarium stores from Tobyhanna to Wilkes Barre. These guys are the most sincere and honest folks in the business and they DO NOT try to sell you useless stuff that you don't need or want for your hobby -- they truly keep it KISS (keep it simple stupid). They answer your questions plainly and knowledgeably and without any "nerdspeak". I call them once or twice a week and they ALWAYS make time for me and are happy to answer any and all questions.

Best pet store ever.the staff are always nice andhelp you with what you need and know a lot about the animals. they always have good prices and things you wouldn't find at other pet stores.pet smart though has high prices and don't take care of their animals.also they don't have anything unusual like pet zone .I come and get crickets there all the time and there cheap and they give me extra in case some die.I went to pet smart once andthe girl literaly counted all of them and charged me five bucks for twelve crickets.

I've been in the salt water hobby for close to give years and I've known Bill Sr. and Bill Jr. for almost four. They've always been super knowledgeable and courteous. Today I burned out my Mag-12 return pump and instead of attempting to sell me a new one Bill Jr. took the time to take it apart and refit it with brand new parts that the store readily had available, which is the case with this store 99 percent of the time. As for fish selection they have a beautiful array and they all seem in great health and well taken care of. They just added a new wall of tanks that look exquisite. Only drawback here is that prices are slightly higher than other stores. But in four years I've NEVER had a problem with any of their fish. You get what you pay for. Good luck with the new tanks and thank you for all your help and support.

I made my first trip here today upon recommendation from a friend. The guy I dealt with was very knowledgeable about reef aquariums as well as the store inventory of live stock, habits of invertebrates I was interested in, water parameters of the tanks that housed my purchases, prices of items without even looking up and were very responsible in recovering my purchases from their tanks....I’ll be back to this place again and again for sure

This establishment is more mom and pop style. Quiet and great prices. Clean and laid out well. My friends and I will often take their children here on days weather isn't the greatest to show them the assortment of exotic fish , lizards, snakes ,birds and one rather large tortoise.The staff however do keep to themselves and don't come to see if you need assistance. I would say laid back is this establishment and well that's ok to. They don't carry alot of different pet care products but prices are good.
