Food's excellent, nice place the best in Oregon. And thank you to the lady's at front they are really nice
Was very good. I had the tacos and clam chowder. Sampled the dips yummy
What you get for the price is alright. Fish could have been better.
It was perfect like it always is.
Awesome place! Awesome ice cream and cheese! This review is in the wrong spot. It goes to the Tillamook Cheese Factory.
Mmm
Super delicate crab cakes.
Being in the areafor the first time i enjoyed the I stop to have lunch..Food was good friendly staff large portions clam chowders great
Cod was fresh and soft. Batter was crispy and not too oily. Tartar sauce was thick and flavorful.
I always stop here when I'm visiting Tillamook. The deep fried oysters are my favorite.
A very unassuming fish house! Skip the cheese factory and go across the street to this gem. This is a Tillamook staple every time we visit. Their slogan says everything you need to know about this place. "Cheap seafood ain't good and good seafood ain't cheep."
Great food! Crab cakes were delicious! And the homemade cashue sauce is worth a trip all in it's self!
Outstanding seafood, atmosphere and service. The crab melts were divine, 70s music rocked and the ladies were all fabulous. You'll be sorry if you don't stop by. Everything we ate was tasty. We'll definitely be returning. Thank you!!!
Been going here for the last 3 years every time I go to the coast. Best crab melts I've ever had.
Best gluten free clam chowder and awesome crab cocktails. It's the cocktail sauce that makes it great.
Great little place to grab a quick bite. Convenient location easy off and back on for Hwy 101. Clam chowder was excellent and the crab melt was fresh and hot!! I will return.
Yummy chowder halibut fish n chips amazing glad we found this spot for lunch highly recommended
Delicious... inexpensive. We like to grab and go to cook some seafood when we camp in the area. But a big sunny patio makes for a great stop during your visit too!
The fish and chips at this restaurant are solid. I would like the breading to be a bit crispier on the fish, but the fish itself is flaky and delicious. The fry sauce and tartar sauce are both fantastic as well. Worth a visit if you're looking for a quick stop on 101 to eat and don't want to deal with the lines at Tillamook.
Favorite fish and chips place on the Oregon coast. Their fresh halibut is so good! Definitely worth a stop. Staff is always very friendly.
The best clam chowder on the coast!
We walked in, saw a disgusting environment and left..
Great halibut fish and chips. Came back 2nd day for lunch. Chowder not so much. One clam.
Love the fish and chips I got the rock fish excellent!
Never been in so we stopped and got some teriyaki rounds and they were great :)
Great food. Quick service.
Salted caramel ice cream! Beautiful drive from Portland!
Kind of hidden across the eye sore of the Tillamook cheese factory is this little gem, really great service, and great food. Had the fish and chips and it was just what we were hoping for. Will be back!
Good food but needs to renavate
Best place to eat in Tillamook.
A small, quaint, diner style seafood restaurant located directly across from the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Excellent fish and chips. The breading isn't overly thick, which is great. The fish is nice and flakey and their tarter sauce is really well balanced with lots of flavor. The large smoked oysters are also really good. They have a large selection of hot sauces that go great with any of their dishes. I definitely recommend this spot.
Delicious fresh seafood...
I love this place! I could spend my whole paycheck there! The honey glazed jerky is one of my favorites! Free samples too. They have a very large selection of sample and free waters.
Loved the remodel - more room to move, but products are more towards gift items rather than jerkey, etc. Still great deals on them though!
Good food!. Definitely needs updating. Carpet is pretty gross
The food is so good. I was impressed with the quality and price was reasonable.
Delicious fried prawns. It doesn't look pretty, but she's got it where it counts. This is the Millenium aFalcon of roadside seafood shacks.
Every employee that was working here when I went HATED there jobs and made it a point to be extra rude to everyone EXCEPT the girl running the cash register so my hat is off to her! But wow the people serving the food were some of the rudest I've ever dealt with in a food place and you could hear the cooks cursing behind the counter and they are right there so they know you can hear them. Children are standing right there and they were dropping the F bomb, waitresses were arguing with each other and almost yelling at the customers who were just waiting in line to order. It was appalling for sure. The reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because I try to be fair with my reviews and the food was very good for a fast food shack. The crab cakes are the biggest I've ever seen and very good, and the halibut fish and chips were great. But the foul language in front of kids and treating everyone like they hated you (except the cashier girl) is unacceptable imo.
Great place to get jerky and pepperoni at a lower cost.
Love the fry sauce
Stopped in for a bite.. Great food...excellent chowder.. And fast. Great customer service and clean...
Awesome seafood dishes, great deli, and an impressive hot sauce collection
How was it...it was freaking great..fresh fresh fresh... perfectly prepared..crazy portions... killer price...eat here and be happy.

Im giving 5 stars for the food and the price. Lightly breaded halibut and many big pieces. Lots of fries which were good. The clam chowder was thick and delicious. Had to drink Pepsi from a can but no biggie. They were out of crab cakes for the day. Gnats flying around. Hardly any customers there but it is the off season. However it was a beautiful day today. I would definitely go back for anything fried. I don’t care about fancy, I care about the food!

We were able to purchase very large, live crab at the Old Oregon Smokehouse. They tasted amazing, and customer service was great. Highly recommend! They are also a dine-in restaurant which I haven't tried but plan to soon! Located right across the street from the Tillamook Cheese Factory.
Super divey seafood shack. Like, the bathroom is a porta potty in the parking lot divey. Solid fish & chips though. And plenty of other fresh seafood offerings.
Skip the delicious tasting clam chowder because there were barely barely any clams and there were only a very few small small pieces in the bowl anyway. The fish and chips and french fries are excellent the cole slaw was just mediocre.
This is the definition of hole in the wall amazing food. It’s a tiny shack across the street from the Tillamook Creamery. There was a line out the door the entire time we were there eating. Had the halibut fish and chips and the food was incredibly fresh, tartar sauce was perfect. Highly recommended.
This is a classic coastal fish house. All about great food and FRESH fish. I had amazing fish tacos and we took home the smoked salmon dip. Look forward to visiting every time we go to the Coast!
The chowder is fantastic. Lots of fried food options.
We stopped by for a quick lunch, and it turned into an adventure. My daughter got a full crab and the cook taught her how to shell it. I also agree on the customizing of orders, my wife wanted to try the fried clams but didn't want a meal and they accommodated. Thanks again for the memories!
Cat roving underfoot in dining area. Very limited seating. So so good.
Doesn't look like much, but the food is amazing! All seafood is freshly caught, and comes in hearty portions (big enough to be filling, not so big you need a leftover container just for fries). Like I said before, the place is very non-descript and sports very bare-bones decor (especially the sign on the road, it's very small and hard to spot); unless you are really looking or already know where it is, it's easy to drive right by. That's bit of a shame, but it also means more space with the limited seating (half inside, half outside). All in all, if you're on your way through Tillamook, it's worth a try!
Fantastic food. We had the oysters and halibut. Shared a clam chowder. Was busy and can see why. Looks like a hole in the wall, but those truly are the best places. Would definitely come back.
This is a great place for fresh seafood. Good fish and chips. They had fresh Ling Cod the day I was there. I stop there whenever i'm in Tillamook.
This place is a little gem, right across the street from the Tillamook creamery. We had the halibut and clam chowder. All of the food was fresh, and very very good. I wish we lived nearby, because we'd go back again and again.
Stop what you are doing right now and go get a lobster melt.
Verry good clam chowder and fresh oysters
Absolutely loved this place. We went on a recommendation. I knew I was going to be happy when I saw the Traeger smoker outside. We had fish, salmon, prawns and chips, crab cakes, chowder, grilled cheese, and a BBQ pork sandwich. Best fish and chips and chowder I have had in Oregon. Don't be fooled by the outside. Right across the street from Tillamook Cheese Factory.
Great food, love all the amazing& unique types of hot sauces there for great prices!!
Prices are fairly decent. Love this little hole in the wall.
Superb crab sandwich!
Seriously? This place is the best for the most. It's no frills, but the best fish, Prawns etc in the state. And for the price the best value if that's a concern. Highly recommend. The little place farther north in Rockaway is a kin to this place, so if you miss here driving north, you have another chance!!
Priced a bit on the high side for what you get.
The best cod fish and chips I've had in years! Great service too!
Great food
Pretty overpriced, but decent food
The crab melt and clam chowder were great. Prices were good too.
We always stop at either The one in Garibaldi or as we did today the 1 in Tillamook across from the creamery. It's hard to decide whether you wanna do fish-and-chips or clam strips or chowder or chili it's all really really good just stop in have a great time and have some good old Oregon seafood
Great place for crab cakes. Tons of meat. Very little mayo. Perfect.
Nice coastal type restaurant. Fresh seafood, the cod and French
We went for lunch on Sept. 14th. Maybe they were just having an off day. I'd seen all the good reviews and was expecting something really delicious. Instead, it was $20 wasted. We ate about three bites of our food and threw the rest of it away. The fish and chips were tasteless and greasy. The 'homemade' chili had the consistency of soup. It was horrible. Needless to say, we won't be going back.
Fish and chips were tasty and the crab cakes were excellent. Good place to stop.
A wonderful place to get smoked fish crab cakes fish and chips all local food. Plus crab tuna and salmon and fish in season. All the locals come here.
The food was great. The breading on the prawns was very lite. You get to taste your food. Sis had the cod fish and chips and was very pleased. Again the breading was lite and the portions were very good.
Food was good. Bathroom was out of order. Run like a fast food joint, order then wait for your number to be called
Best food ever. Don't pass up! Got prawns and chips and a Cod taco. Wish I ordered double!
I have really mixed feelings about this restaurant. Just went here with my family, and we got the following: a cod fish 'n chips, a clam strips 'n chips, a bowl of clam chowder, and a fish burger. Most of the meals work okay, but nothing more. The clam chowder was disappointing, the cod left mom with stomach problems, and the fish burger was kinda ehhh -- meaning I had much better ones in other places. Altogether, it's not a bad place, but i had higher expectations from a local, freshly made, right next to the shore restaurant...
Food was amazing. Had halibut, coleslaw, and clam chowder. Really great! Friendly service.
Great people but not for vagans
Fresh seafood, not greasy. The clam chowder is to die for. Staff was friendly and prompt. During the warmer days enjoy your food on the patio.
Great location across from the Tillamook Creamery with a tasty choice of local seafoods

Great location across from the Tillamook Creamery with a tasty choice of local seafoods
I had fresh fried Halibut fish and chips with slaw. It was truly fresh and melted in my mouth. They're best known for smoked Salmon and other quality seafare! It's a real Oregon Coast Landmark for a reason! I highly recommend this Fish house/Smokehouse. Get there!
Great spot for fish and chips
If there is a #1 best place for fish and chips in tillamook, this is it! Yes, I know every corner has a fish and chips joint, but these guys simply have the freshest seafood i have found on the coast. You want REALLY good halibut fish and chips? Don't miss this spot!
Little hole in wall gem. If y'all are passing by you should stop and check it out.. you won't be disappointed.
Best Chowder in town and the grilled cheese sandwiches are fantastic for dipping.
Beer cheese soup was YUMMY!
The food is much better than the place looks. The sign out front riley is old Oregon. But the food was good.
Clam chowder was excellent. The halibut fish and chips was more like litely breaded fish - it wasn't crisp at all.
Decent food, awful atmosphere, staff was not personable at all. The only restroom offered was a porta-potty outside..
This place is directly across the street from the giant Tillamook Cheese complex. Its sign is worn but the food is fresh and fast and the deck is puppy and kid friendly. No beer or wine but some great seafood. The shrimp melt is loaded with cheese and lots of shrimp.
It's kind of a dive the way an old seafood fish and chips place should be! The food is fabulous most of the help is Young energetic and fun! we are local and stop by just to split an order of fish and chips to try them out and we were so pleased we will be back again soon!!!
The clam chowder was delicious...and the fried clams were super good.
Like some of the other reviewers mentioned, this place is a shock when you drive up. We had Salmon & chips, Oysters & chips, Halibut & chips & Chicken strips. All were great. Light batter, fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked. If you want good food and don't want to pay double or triple to have ambience and sycophant waiters, this is the right place.
Just ok food . Nasty clam chowder . No clams in it . Rude staff . The kid on the register didn't know what he was doing . Bathroom out of order . And I got yelled at at the place next door where they told me to go for a bathroom . I wonder what the people who work there do for a restroom or to wash their hands .Pass this one by .
Food was good. Fried prawns were the best part
To many kids working there and foul mouthed in front of customers, won't go back.
Great oysters
Great food, huge portions, fresh seafood
Excellent choice if you are in the Tilamook area and want some good seafood or fish and chips. This was a great option for my group as although they do get busy quickly at lunch time on the weekends they are much less busy than across the street. I had the crab melt and a chowder and they were delicious. Well worth the money. I also like that they have a fully exposed kitchen so you can see all the kitchen staff at work.
Great place! The best crab cake I've ever had.
Great food, nice stop off of 101
Excellent food! All homemade sauces and the food is fresh! Great salmon and chips and the crab cakes are fantastic! Hole in the wall looking with big time taste. This place should be on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives!
I was super hungry and these fish and chips were on point! Very fresh and hot as well.
Food ia tasty the staff friendly. Clam strips were not over cooked. Halibut yummy. Worth the time to stop.
Excellent, there's a reason it's rated #1. Really terrific seafood!
Loved this place!!
A must every time we are in Tillamook.
I've been here a couple times now and the fish and chips have always been great. I usually get the cod and my daughter goes with the salmon. The cod has 4 to 5 big pieces and a load of fries along with tasty slaw, homemade tartar, and fry sauce. Except for the slaw the fish and fries are easily big enough to share. The salmon comes with the same sides and 2 to 3 big chunks. There are also options for baskets with halibut, clam strips, oysters, or chicken. There are some BBQ options but we've always gotten fish and chips. There is a fish counter where you can get halibut, tuna, salmon (filets and smoked), rockfish, clams, oysters, and super yummy smoked oysters. They have a tank for live crab in season as well. Along the back wall they have a crazy number of various insane sounding hot sauces.
Delicious fish and chips! Lost one star because "the best chowder on the coast" came out cold :(
Really good food, i eat Oysters and chips. Worth the price too. Clam chowder bread bowl is tasty.
Hands down the best seafood I've had on the coast. The crab cocktail was a whole lot of crab for what we paid. The fish tacos wee fresh and the toppings runny, but delicious. The topper though was the clam chowder. It really is the best I've had on the coast.
Delicious fish and chips, delicious prawns and chips! We're trying the salmon next time. Highly recommend for fresh seafood! Yum!
I miss it alot. Moving back soon
This is a down home place with great seafood. Their smoked salmon is wonderful as is the fish and chips with fresh cod. Prices are reasonable. Not fine dining bit great food.
This place has the best fish and chips in Oregon hands down so far. I always tend to frequent this joint every chance I get. Halibut fish and chips, chicken strips for the wife. They also have great clam chowder. Always fry sauce, tarter, and or ranch is always excellent as well. Hopefully one of these days I can get past halibut and try the prawn and chips. Thanks for the great food!!!

Excellent, there's a reason it's rated #1. Really terrific seafood!
It was ok. The service was not great as the staff all went outside for a smoke break for like 15minutes and there was no one inside for getting a to go container. The drink selection is minimal. The food itself was ok but I don't think it's somewhere I would go back to. The restaurant itself also needs updating. The carpet is very worn and was soaked and dirty. A cat came in and sat down throughout our meal which wasn't bad. There was one crab trying to desperately escape the tank that made me wish I hadn't gotten crab cakes. They were pretty good though and the sauce on the side was good. I think they need to do some updating and cleaning overall. Offering some tea would have been appreciated as well.
Lost one star because "the best chowder on the coast" came out cold :(
The best clam chowder I have ever had. So creamy and full of clams. The halibut fish and chips were also the best we've had. Very lightly coated and so fresh and tasty. Definitely a repeater!
Quantity has decrease and priced increased...sad...their chowder is good and still reasonably priced. That fish and chip picture is a whopping $17...yikes...at least they could have filled up with the fries. But their smoked salmon is ok priced but also very tasty.
We stumbled upon here accidentally and were pleased enough to come back again! The tuna melt I had was amazing! The clam chowder in a bread bowl was oddly peppery, but pleasing. They also had seafood for sale (raw & cooked), dips, and a WALL of hot sauces.
So yumm food, clam strips the best
Good food... just wish they had fresh Tuna fish and chips as well
Ok food.
Whenever I’m in the Mook... I eat at the Old Oregon smokehouse. So many hot sauces to take home! It’s a dilemma every time I go. Always get a new sauce when I’m there. It’s almost a tradition.
Ordered the halibut fish tacos and sure I got cod instead... Still good
Always tasty. Smoked salmon is really good too. Only downside is in winter, if you dine inside, you will smell like fryer oil (bad separation from kitchen).
Delicious. That's all that needs saying.
Clam chowder is gluten free! Had that and a piece of smoked salmon, both delicious!
Clam chowder was amazing. We also got fried clam strips... they were huge and delicious!
Very tasty food!! Unique!! Smoked Salmon is awesome.
Great deals
Great fish n chips. Very good clam chowder.
Clam chowder is amazing and the fish and chips and delicious
Regarding the negative reviews. Keep in mind this place is mostly run by local teens during the summer. Teens and quality....well, it’s difficult. But this is the best place for seafood if you don’t want to spend $35 per entre. Very fresh when fish is in season.
This is a small, local seafood market that leaves much to be desired in appearance on the outside & inside, but makes up for it in their food portion sizes & taste. It's located right across from the Tillamook Creamery.
Slow service, expensive, low quality. What more needs to be said. Ordered the same item as a family member during our visit, the dishes looked and tasted completely different... how does that even happen? One cook gives a s#!/ and the other couldn't care less? Never again.
Good place to buy local caught fresh fish and Dungeness Crab. I buy my fish and crab here pretty often. Right across the street from the Tillamook Creamery. Funky little place. If you like battered and deep fried fresh fish this is a good place for you. But the crew is not friendly at all and may ignore you if they feel like it. So don't make any waves or you'll be sorry.
Don't let the front facade scare you away. Some of the best fish and chips on the coast. They also have a great selection of smoked seafood. It is always one of my first stops on Tillamook.
Always stop in when we are on the costs (at least once!). Fresh seafood, local owners, divey in the best way! And if they have their cashew relish... better get it!!
Fish & Chips were very good. Thought they would be beer battered but they were lightly breaded, which was good. My friend had a crab cake. Far different than the crab cales we're used in Maryland, but it was good, tasty and different. Overall, the place doesn't look fancy from the outside, but they do have very good food. Not to mention the friendly people working there.
The food was alright but the staff was terribly rude! Asked a simple question and got my head bit off for asking. Nobody likes to be treated poorly especially when your just visiting and paying money to be in the place.
Best seafood on the the Oregon coast.
Delicious food! We got the grilled cheese, halibut & chips, and a fish taco. The halibut was amazing and the taco was very good, the fries were also enjoyable! Quite affordable and a lovely little place. Only bummer is the limited seating.
This place is pretty awesome. I would definitely recommend it. We got the Salmon fish and chips, which was perfect. The clam chowder was good, although it was a little thicker than I prefer. Overall, I feel like this is an outstanding option for seafood. Great quality, reasonable prices and great customer service. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the limited space and bare bones decor. I don't consider this to be a problem because everything else is so great, but others might not want it. It is basically a seafood market with some simple tables and chairs. They also seemed to run out of space for other diners after we were already seated. My wife and I wanted to return on our way home, but it didn't work out with our schedule. Needless to say, we were very impressed.
Sadly disappointed. Did not live up to the reviews unfortunately. We ordered the fish n chips and clam chowder. This wonderfully fried fish they spoke of wasn't. The fry fell right off and it was dripping wet from oil laying on top of the French fries. Coleslaw was good and homemade. The chowder gave the impression of not being made from scratch in my opinion. Who knows! The people that worked they're were excellent and played a huge roll in giving 3 stars.
Absolutely amazing food! The crab melt is so good! Everything we tried was amazing. I'd highly recommend and wish it wasn't a 5hr drive away. The service was excellent. Edit: Back in town for the weekend. This was the first place we went to. Got a crab melt and some chowder. Still can't recommend enough! Will go there again before the weekend is over!
A very casual restaurant with a fresh fish counter, daily specials and lots of fried fish options.
Whatever you do... Share! Large portions were too much to eat alone. We got 4 baskets with various fish/shellfish and chips and a large clam chowder to share among 5 hungry people. We left with a near full large clam chowder and 2 full baskets. I felt like one of the disciples filling up baskets after Jesus broke 2 loaves and fish for 5000. Anyway, amazing food. The place is a hole in the wall so don't be afraid of the scenery and long wait to fulfill your order. Cheers!
Worst place we ate on vacation. I had crab melt, too salty, greasy,no flavor only crab with melted cheese on slice of French bread. Fries ok, tarter sauce bad. My husband had salmon chips, breading greasy and one of two peices we're dry inside. Will not be back.
Service was great. Prices were above average but the food portion size was LARGE! The dips were amazing, crab melt was great, shrimp cocktail was good, clam chowder was fantastic!
Great seafood hidden in plain sight!
Said they gave me cooked crab, was stone cold and needed to be fried, we asked if they were cooked and if we needed to reheat them, they were very confused
BEST halibut fish and chips and fried prawns! Seriously, go there now. Hand cut, fresh fries. Prawns and fish breaded and fried to perfection. We love this place! The people are really nice too.
This place is awesome. I ate the Clam Chowder and the Halibut. One thing I look for when coming to the Coast is good fresh sea food and the Food here is amazing. The clan cider was delicious and had more meat than what I was expecting. The Halibut was nice and flaky it was really good. They have fry sauce! This is Oregon! The Halibut tasted good with fry sauce. The drinks are $1.00, they have cans of soda, milk, chocolate milk, and bottled water.
Food awesome great atmosphere
Good food and a great place to buy hot sauce
Great selection of fresh seafood and fish
Great little shop bigger than the tillamook jerky outlet store, has a hearty assortment of jerky... parking is in the back...
Great staff, super friendly and speedy check out!
Great place for smoked salmon. You will go back there over and over again
Menu mostly consisted of different flavors of Fish N' Chips. Not much variety outside of that.

Fantastic. Very tasty. Sorry no photo. Cod and chips and the clam chowder bowl
Ok food.

Oyster basket was delicious and we'll priced. For you folks that complained about expensive fish n chips, halibut us expensive! Get the cod! It's better anyway.
