Should have given them five probably. Pretty much out of my price range. But a great selection of herbal and naturopathic remedies. As well as Vitamin and minerals.

New Seasons carries an exceptional selection of local produce, meats, beer and wine as well as standard grocery staples. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant.

Mike Agranoff

Food is good, this specific store is big af, but imo a little overpriced...I actually think whole foods might be more affordable?

Vivian Moss

Dear Tom the cashier, Please don’t throw avocados in my bags carelessly with soup cans. You ruined them. They were perfect and now they’re all banged up, bruised, and gashed from being handled like that and thrown in with soup cans. Now I’ve wasted money and have to go somewhere else for avocados. I am not happy.

Carl Valentine

I usually go to the one in sellwood but the one in Woodstock is fantastic the place to eat upstairs is on the roof has great views and it is fantastic.

jusntif katwalk

Sure it can be a little pricey, but it’s close and the produce is always fantastic. In fact, all the departments are great, meat, deli, cheese, wine, I can even get a last minute present. Everyone is super nice. I can’t complain.

Kimberly Morey

Great selections.

Brandon Michael Scarth

Pretty good. I don’t know if I’d go ALL the time, just cus there food is PRETTY SPENDY! ...but, overall I would say there SERVICE is really very good!

Joshua Lenker

Everyone here is always so friendly! The selection is great and the employees are super knowledgeable, only downside is price, but that is expected at a higher quality grocery store. Plus there is an amazing burger place in the parking lot so....win-win.

Vicki Bennett

Great local sourced produce, meats

Vivyan Wagner

Fresh produce, friendly employees and good service.

Traci Haleen

Dennis Johnson

Mike mouse grocery stores there are some better deals than others, but they seem to be consistently and helpful service.

Elly DeVoss

Staff was a little rude when I asked to get something they were blocking while stocking. Otherwise, I love the meat selection.

Aurora Eklund

This is one of my favorite new seasons. There is a large variety of grocery and prepared food items an interesting Botanical products. The staff are only a little snooty but they are all helpful and informed. But it's pricey, very pricey. My kid found a little palm sized stuffed Fox she wanted it was $19. Maybe don't take the kids. However, every time I've been here there has been a different musician playing beautiful music at the parking lot across from the front doors. Recently a cellist, an amazing Trumpeter my visit before. And a classical Violinist before that. Always interesting.

Zach Swanson

Love this place but recently the people begging outside make me feel uncomfortable. My girlfriend won't go without me because she doesn't feel safe even during daylight. If you're going to let these people loiter and pester customers trying to have a relaxing time food shopping you should at least hire security guards.

Kasando Bosco

You can never go wrong with a trip to New Seasons! Hands down favorite grocery store; nothing even comes close. Great selection of local, foodie fare. Hot, made to order food available. Start off your day is with an everything toasted bagel topped with hummus, tomatoes, and cucumber. Then grab a special new season Stumptown brew and you’ll be set! Cute gift section with locally made products and cards. And, the friendliest staff in town. Parking lot and sewer parking available.

gr hafford

Great place to shop. Parking can be an issue at times. There are a few other business places using the same parking lot. The store is clean. Isles tend to be narrow and a bit crowded. There is a good selection of products. Organic and specialties are scattered throughout the store.

David de la Rocha

Good food, great staff

reese kruse

This chain of stores pretends to care.

Lili Harewood

Great neighborhood store with friendly staff

Alicia Saray

The little carts are so much fun for the kids.

Max Calderon

Concordia is awesome. The oldest new seasons in the area, it might not be visually appealing but it's huge. Larger selections of most everything that the other local New Seasons or general grocery stores. Super friendly staff and great stuff, as expected. Prices are higher than a Safeway or Trader Joe's, but quality and service are as well. Lots of organic, vegan, and veg offerings, but a massive meat counter and more - they really have something for everyone. Great emphasis on local or locally sourced. Heads up, being the oldest this one gets really busy after work hours.

Laura Schneider

Expensive! But at least there's screaming kids

shoe pick

Worst store iv ever seen and am from Texas

Will Maiden

Best grocery store in PDX :-)

Rose Hassan

Location, happy employees, friendly staff, cleanliness, fresh and new exciting local products

Genifer Wallace

Fantasic service, beyond my expectations. Everyone is kind, friendly, helpful, and the employees address you with a warm smile. Everytime, every location I've been too. This is something I wasn't expecting from walking in a what I thought to be an average chain grocery store, they really did a great job to please the patron and in customer service. Very impressed.

Royce Hays

Good selection of organic and local foods

Dahlia Ramos

Fresh groceries, and if you need halla bread

jktosh

I've always really liked New Seasons, but it wasn't until I started getting their email newsletter/flyer that I was able to expand my enjoyment and understanding of the kinds of things they offer. The number and variety of tasting events they hold within their stores offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with the local growers/producers and the varieties of produce/food items you didn't know existed. And I like hearing about their collaborations with these local folks on creating their own brand of things like sour cream or European style butter (the yummiest creamiest kind, imho). I was surprised and delighted to discover their many unique house-made sausages at the meat counter. And to think I used to spend maybe 5 minutes in the store buying shower products, supplements, and/or food at the hot bar. Shame! :)

Brooke Slotsve

Great sandwiches! Bulk section!

Maka Dangdang

Required disclaimer: I have never entered the store, this is based only on what my human reported. The fresh backed bread is great, there is not a huge selection of fish, but what they have is tasty, as is the pet food selections. Produce is broke da mouth good! The staff are mostly just plain sweet and really helpful. The beer selection is really good and the wine selection is okay. Be prepared to be hit up for people asking for some financial help, selling stuff or asking to join something (my human female fell for one of those) just outside of the doors.

AbrAheM Ali

A little expensive.

Pablo Moore

One of my very favorite stores, friendly environment, very friendly staff, and I love there organic products. Another thing to check out is there deli, top notch dishes and salad bar doesn't hurt. As well check out the bakery fresh bread and pastries, just a nice taste of everything one could love about a market, I don't have to worry about running around when almost all if not all of my needs are met in one store. I recommend highly

Sean Conrad

simply the best produce in Portland imho

Sugarplum Portland Oregon

You best to Like the light ! because it's always well lit in here all of the staff is very friendly and I always find what I need they're always well stocked as well I really love to shop at the store

Tsunami Baker

They really are the most friendly store in town. Their my favorite grocery store and I’ve been going for so long and I’ve never had a bad experience

Penni Dill

Such a fabulous store and I love the level of giving back they participate in. Last time there was a demo for Ground Up, a gourmet nut butter that employs women with adversity to get them back on their feet. Love that!

Jessica Cayer

This spot is really good! They have cider and a full bar for the folks who can't do beer but love beer drinkers who refuse to go anywhere else.

Peggy Brodsky

Good products, produce and the fantastic selection of bread. Somehow I can always find a decent parking place.

T Myers

This chain has gone from being slightly more expensive than other stores to being completely outrageous. They are giving Whole Foods serious competition for being the most expensive store in town. I've watch product after product jump in price by 25-50%, and I've watched portion sizes get cut by 50%. I live 6 blocks away and only go here as an absolute last resort. This store makes Freddie's and Safeway look like an absolute bargain.

Matthew Mclain

Wonderful place, great selection, great staff great policies

Julia Knight

Awesome deli food!

Alison Welch

They're really nice there. I Purchased a cake out of the bakery that looks really nice but it tasted a bit dry and honestly I was a bit disappointed.

Shyam Ananda

I stood at hot food counter and watch 2 employees chatting away about 5ft from me, they didn't help me. instead they looked at me, moved about 10ft away and resumed their personal conversation. New seasons, I've been coming to for about 12 years now, why are you lowering you standards? You used to be the best.

Michelle MacGregor

Always delicious coffee and pastries.

Frank Leonetti

The employees at every New Seasons are so helpful and friendly, this is one of my favorite grocery stores in town, especially if you're looking for organic foods.

Lauren Mangante

New Seasons brings the community together also gives so much back to the community, I love their products and produce and that it's a B corporation!

Aaron Clark

It's just a regular grocery store, nothing special about it. It's a fine place to buy from.

Josie Arndt

Locally sourced organic foods

Laurie Gallinat

Great employeez

Gale Pudlitzke

Great people and quality goods.

Lisa Dix

Love this store

Jeff Ely

A good neighborhood market... Like most of the other New Season stores.

Bonnie Miller

I love this market, even though it is noticably higher priced than other stores. It has the same organic products (bigger mark up) I usually buy and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Michelle DeFord

I stood at the wok bar just long enough for it to close, and then the woman was rude to me about it. I normally have great service, so it was weird. I got there before 9, but the girl ignored me till just after. The bar was even out still. Just a bummer. I do like this location, which is why I’m giving them 4 stars. She could have been nicer about it.

Anand Shah

Always a very pleasant shopping experience. Prices can be high, cross shopping the exact same product usually it is more expensive here. But, if they pay the employees well and offer benefits I'm willing to support to some extent. Meat quality is very good, not quite the same as specialty butcher shops but very good.

Meagan Kelsey

Delicious fresh food!

Wuletawe Bezabe

Nice place to shop

Winston Smith

Very nice & attentive employees & lines are not bad... Groceries are good quality; but, you're going to pay a lot more for the items & "experience"...

Shasta Frier

Not my regular grocery cuz it's very expensive. Lots of different fun ingredients to work with. Too many homeless and/or petitioners as you walk in trying to get money or a signature

Colin Doyle

Great local market. Helpful staff. Solid selection of local, organic produce.

Craig Needham

A real fixture in the neighborhood. This place is one of the things that make Concordia, and by extension the other neighborhoods surrounding the eastern half of NE Alberta St., feel like its own little community within the city. After only coming here a few times you start to feel as if you recognize the faces behind the register and the counters. Every employee I've ever talked to, and after shopping here for a few years I feel like I've talked to most, has been respectful, helpful, and altogether just very nice. That conviviality is the difference between this being just a grocery store and it being a integral part of the neighborhood. A few unorganized experiences if mine that made me like this place: One time I forgot my wallet and my phone's payment system wasn't working. The cashier (Liam, I think, whom I'm not sure still works there) gave me a slip with the total and the transaction number so that I could take my groceries home and just call with my credit card information. He saved me both time and embarrassment, and above all just trusted that I was just a fellow human being trying to get groceries rather than treating me with skepticism and mistrust. The meat counter used to regularly make a delicious curry lamb sausage, which they still have from time to time, that made a spectacular lamb coconut curry. These days whenever I want to make the recipe again, I just call up in the morning and they make as many of the curry lamb sausage as I want even if they weren't making any that day. The meat counter in general is something special. Very high quality meat, a generous selection, and the people are always happy to help.

Louis courneya

I came in for my 30 minute lunch break. I got an African peanut soup and a salad for under $10 that filled me up. It was fast and delicious!

Merilee Brown

Because their prices clearly are beyond most of our ability to afford anything in that store.

Spencer T Houser

Pretty nice New Seasons. Not as community as it once was. They no longer sell Oscar Meyer bologna and the Heinz catsup is on the bottom row in favor of terrible artsy catsup but the employees are great.

La Don Don Tha One

Always has cheapest prices. But i been needing a clean pee kit. And would like to know when you will have it in ?

Vicki Klahn

Great place for baked breads, smoothies, booch, and seated area for prepped foods.

christopher keller

If they don't have it, you probably don't need it.

Jen L

New Seasons is amazing. The price is high compared to a normal supermarket, but great compared to a Whole Foods with regular options sold next to the organic. The staff here is really sweet and friendly, and you cannot beat their hot bar. Go in at breakfast for an especially good deal and meal. I love it here.

Luai Zarour

very nice staff, big store and has many options. They also have small carts for children to use which is cute and helps distract them and allows them to help with the shopping experience

Aria Delia Rohn

Love the healthy safe choices available here@!!

Denissia Withers

Reliable.

Eric Coady

Great fresh fruit

Ana Rosa Edgar

Friendly, good quality meats and seafood ,as well as excellent selection of internatonal food items and wines.

Camille Torres

An awesome spot to grab an easy dinner with a little. Casual whole foods, bustling atmosphere.

Kim Brown

My neighborhood grocery store best customer service!

Craig Martel

Bestest customer service a great deli

Christopher Houle

Friendly policies. My hop card wasn't working and they bought me a ticket out of their pockets.

James Peoples

If had written this review 4 years ago, 5 stars. New Seasons has gotten larger as a company and has adopted a lot of the profit maximization techniques that larger chains employ. The in house butchers are more deli service than before, but you can still get special orders done and they still have all the same quality products (very good to exceptional quality) but the ground meats are done off site. It has always been pricey, and yes New Portland blah blah blah, but there are just some product markups that make me unhappy. The staff as a whole are friendly, but there are fewer staff who actively try and help customers. They are still there but not consistently. You want good quality, well sourced produce, meat and seafoods , yeah they have it. I will say I LOVE LOVE LoVE the ham and cheese croissant at the Concordia location, but it is inconsistently available and inconsistently prepared, sometimes burnt, sometimes chewy and amazing. But when they are on...oh man...so good

Robie Honeyman-Colvin

Love New seasons. Organic products and some of the staples you would find at traditional grocery store. Produce shows where it comes from. Reasonable prices for what they offer

Cyndi Crooks

Love New Seasons , friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. Good products.

Arlene Crooks

Fresh produce. Friendly staff. Gifts. Bakery. Eco friendly products.

Michael Patrick Connolly

My local grocery store. New Seasons is the BEST!

Michael Widmann

I was there to buy fresh roasted Hatch chilies. They partner with Los Roast, a company out of New Mexico, and sell them by the bushel when in season.

George Leck

Grocery store. Good organic selection.

Eileen Kennedy

I like New Seasons Concordia very much. I have questions about wine tasting at the front of the store and the fact that the store is so expensive. Otherwise the staff is so friendly and nice and helpful. I can usually find everything I need.

Carleda Tinkler

The sales people are always very helpful. One time my daughter's diamond ring lost it's stone and the salesperson who wasn't even inn his own area, did his hardest to find it for us until he found it. Those kind of things make you just want to do business with and keep coming back.

Paul Holmes

I stopped in a Whole Foods because I saw their floral shop through the window while I was stopped at the light. They have a beautiful offering of flowers, several that I haven't seen available before where I have purchased flowers. I got a huge bouquet of white Tulips along with a violet and pink Hyacinth which not only smell delicious, but are equally beautiful. Sorry no picture of the bouquet itself, but it's worth a stop if you're in the market for flowers.

Sarah Wolff

Spendy items but we'll worth it. Bought a juiced greens powder for days when I can't get all my veggies. Love it.

Debbie Lusk

My go to market. I think this market is smaller than most new seasons but I’m able to find a lot of things I cook with so it’s ok. It’s always busy and that’s fine because it’s the only market in the area.

Rob Stoltz

I always thought that it was rather daring for New seasons to have the motto, the friendliest place in town. but what I have found through the years is that all the staff is always helpful and always polite, and always in a good mood. In short, they are the friendly store in town.

Daniel Carpenter

Not for everyone. Most folks will prefer a Safeway.

Denise Lee

Great produce. Good cheese and meat. A bit expensive. However, close to my home.

Iciyapitate kelly O'Shaughnessy

Love this store

Wow I have never experienced such rude behavior from a store employee, my friend was targeted and absolutely humiliated. He has never been in this store before so they had no reason to believe that he was going to steal the 4 things he had in his cart. Pens, hydroflask, mixed berry cake that was on sale and toothepaste. An employee walked up to only him and asked “if he planned to pay for “ALL” these items.” I’m sorry what did you just say?” My friend was looking at camping books at the front of the store in plain view of plenty of employees not too mention customers. The employee then insisted on taking his basket to the front, my friend was shocked by the look on his face I could tell he was confused and didn’t understand why the employee was taking his items. He politely said “sir that’s My basket!” after the man grabbed his basket and began to walk off. I watched stunned, witn Several onlookers as my friends face flushed red with embarrassment and I suspect some rage as well, I mean it wasn’t me he was talking to but I felt anger swelling up. My friend, after being shamed for absolutely no reason he decided to leave to take his business elsewhere and as he walked towards the doors the worker said snidely “oh you’re ready now?” My friend juSt put his head down as he walked out but the employee wasnt done harassing him, he actually followed him out of the store where my friend finally said “what is your problem ahold?”. So the employee told him not o ever comer back. UNACCEPTABLE! These employees are clearly HOMOPHOBIC!!

Glenn Kirkindall

The people are great and treat you well. I love the coffee that makes me stout.

Jill H

We had been told this was a great place to pick up groceries during our recent visit to Portland. The store had a great selection and super friendly, helpful staff!

Michelle Carter

I love new seasons because I can find my refrigerated flaxseed oil here and you can also find things that just aren’t available in other places on the downside it is very expensive even for normal items I wish they had a more affordable option for people who wanted to buy healthy without spending so much

Greta Gardner

Very friendly folk. High quality food. However it took a half hour to prepare my bagel with cream cheese, and that was a lot of time to stand around in front of the counter.

Ann Lucille

Great selection of products, select meats and fish, superior cheese dept .

Franklin Beaver

Its a great store

Amanda Burkhart

Yummy food, always great quality products, VERY friendly and helpful staff, and a great location for me!

Courtney Humbard

I do love New Season, but man is it expensive. I've compared several items to Whole Foods, and Whole Foods is generally less expensive. New Seasons does have great sales and their premade food items are excellent!

christina cudworth

Very helpful staff! Great selection

MC Rydzewski

The staff is always very helpful and finding those unique spices and other types of non-typical everyday grocery

Lucy ThomasWerthy

They did not Welcome us with cursotesy was very rude and called the police on us we. Are black and felt very disrespect for my family one could not hear so she is l oud the y where out of line THANK YOU

Tiffany Wong

Absolutely love their selections of flowers! The florist was willing to work with my budget, amd she was able to make me an amazing bouquet for under $15.

Emily Williams

I do the majority of my grocery shopping here. They always have an abundance of organic produce and they have lots of vegan alternatives too!

Emily Mullins

New Seasons is one of the best markets in Portland. The quality of their products is hard to beat. The produce is always fresh, the produce department clean and they gave a great variety of organic choices. The prices are somewhat higher than other markets but a person can shop there and eat well if you cut out the prepared foods.

Lisa Wilson

First off, I feel the need to disclose that I rated New Seasons removing my dislike for pricy grocery stores because it's really nice. I just don't enjoy paying a lot of money for groceries. That being said, here are the reasons I gave it five stars. As you would expect for a more expensive store, the quality of vegetables and meat is excellent with all organic fresh veggies and free range meat products.v However, the selection is a good bit smaller than other grocery stores so there will still be things that most people will find a need to purchase elsewhere. Their focus is on using local and sustainable products so while there are not the typical products you see in other grocers, you can be ensured that your money is helping support local growers. I do strongly encourage going to their webpage and reading about their mission statement and learn more about them. It's pretty impressive. I also love the selection of small gifts you can buy there. Their card selection is terrific ranging from witty and quirky ones to sweet and romantic. I'm pretty picky about the cards I send and am rarely disappointed in their selection. It's also surprisingly easy to find small gifts here-from stocking stuffers to hostess gift and I bought several interesting, fun gifts for Christmas which were pretty reasonably priced. In addition, they also have a very nice floral and garden department. Again, a little pricey but worth it. In closing, I want to mention the people who work at New Seasons. So far, I've yet to meet anyone who isn't of sunny disposition, friendly and helpful. Hmm, upon writing this, I realize that there is a very good reason to pay a bit more for groceries here! New Seasons, I'll see you soon. ☺️

Mia Van Meter

Big enough to have a decent selection. The employees seem to enjoy working there -- a big plus on my book. The deli area is great for combining a snack with computer work.

Amanda Mayther

I recently had a concern, regarding a product that New Season's was carrying. I communicated with them and let them know my concerns. Their response was respectful, compassionate and clear. This communication made me feel seen, heard, respected and connected. And I am so happy to be a continued customer.

JD Ap

Great stop for everything. Wish they were a little less expensive on some things. But I love what they stand for & they give back to the community so, I'm a happy regular. Helpful & knowledgeable staff. Great products, although I wish they'd be more meticulous about the purity of ingredients in the supplements. The one pure brand was, of course, out in both things I needed last time.

Scott Gordon

Small grocery store with a bunch of great items packed in it. Great produce, good variety and the pricing was very good.

Luis Guzman

Great place to shop for over priced groceries

justin donnelly

Great for fine items!!

Edxyvee

the worst place I’ve ever been to.. they are dirty and rude

Kenneth d Estes jr

Good food and people

Jamica Woodard

Too expensive for a mom of 6.

Charles Parrott

Can be pricey, especially the meat section, but definitely the best grocery stores in Portland. Friendly staff. Great products. Good layout. Very kid friendly.

Garry Weil

Found a great Italian wine for a party I was going to.

Thomas John

Super friendly staff...

Stevie Reed

Always clean employees are knowledgeable great location and convenient hours

D G

Always great. Living in an extremely small space, I can't stock up... As a single person I depend on this place. Have literally considered not moving if I won't be near a New Seasons store. I luv them!

Tony Liese

Excellent produce. A little expensive.

sojo hendrix

Best local grocery in Portland. Nice mix of traditional, organic, and gluten-free grocery items. Beautiful array of fresh organic vegetables. Terrific wine and beer selections, fresh food and deli selections, eating area, and usually food samples out for grazing. Friendly staff. Best of the best.

Magdalyn Lowe

Very nice selection of foods and fresh produce

Casey James

A lil pricey but worth it

john smeenk

Good food to many bums in the parking lot

N I

It needs more Gluten free bakery items from Gem, like cinnamon rolls!

Kevin Brigadier

Great place to shop for quality products, but you'll pay for it at the register. One packed grocery bag could be $70-100. They don't bother stocking fruit and veggies when they're out of season or not ripe. When you really consider the logic though it makes sense. No one really enjoys unripe oranges and flavorless tomatoes. Their local and environmentally conscious approach to stocking shelves as well as supporting non-local sustainable farming communities is worth the extra $$ when you have it to spare.

Earl and Gabrielle Wilson

Great selection of healthy products

Charles Fong

Today 11.25.2018. was a great day to visit my favorite foodie hangout near the Alberta Arts District and I scored a delicious lunch plate that featured saute lemon chicken, roasted potatoes, mushroom polenta and a green bean medley - super yummy stuff. The re-modeled Deli Seating Area (DSA) looks fantastic. The staff is super friendly and the checkout lines very efficient and swift. *****TEN STARS*****

Casey Vinson

One stop shop for the highest quality grub. Love it.

Brian Heath

Such a great store. Staff are friendly and helpful. The store really gets being part of the community and I feel like they go out of their way to make you feel like you are part of theirs. They have a great deli and healthy products. Prices are reasonable for the quality.

Gregory Schillinger

Please fix the ice cream cooler

Jazmine

their deli section is to DIE FOR !! they have hood healthy selections to choose from .

Mickey Mishra

I USE to love going here. No more. The Homeless are out of control here. One man came into the store, spit on a woman, and then got me in the crossfire. No one said anything. I really should of just minded my own business, but it got my salad I was eating. Well screw it. No one is going to say anything fine. ITS NOT OKAY TO SPIT ON OLD WOMEN. Let alone in the dining area. where we get our silverware. I'm not afraid to eat at this store. I think I will make the drive to Wholefoods. Costs more, but at least I know me, my family, my kids, guests, or OWN MOTHER will be safe shopping there. I' love my local store. But I can't support how I felt like I was the bad person for saying something when a woman was clearly in distress. Ridiculous. Buy closed package items. NOTHING FROM THE SALAD BAR OR SOUPS. Sad to. It's a great place to shop. But from now on? No. I'm sorry, WE ALL KNOW that there are more jobs then people now. Why can't these BUMS get a job? And BS about that veteran out front. WE CHECKED. That's POS is fake as a 3 dollar BILL. the VFW is right down the street. And all the WE HELP VETS bs. WHERE? This store is a target for us hard working men and women to take money from us. And I have seen it time and time again how they pray on women in the parking lot for money. Sorry folks. I will use Amazon Now to deliver. Go to whole foods if I want a salad. But I won't be sending anyone here to pick me up a salad. Or soup. Nope. With the viral outbreaks happening? The risk is just not worth it. I;m sorry, but someone had to tell the truth. Great store, great people, but the homeless and the bums outside ruin it. Make in unsafe, and the PORTLAND POLICE DO NOTHING ABOUT VANDALISM URINE etc.

Randi Shepler

Friendliest store in town. Great buffet

Kevin Larson

Great product and service

Jules F

This is my store! I really don't think it's more expensive than some of the conventional stores around here and it's so much better.

Joanna Moore

Need to keep hot food section looking more appealing. Food is cooked. & tastes well, but appearance means A LOT!
