the fresh lincod, used in their fish tacos was delicious, loved the Cole slaw served with the fish tacos, it was a great taste, bought extra lincod to take home, broiled it for dinner. It was yummy. They packed the fish very well in ice,for the hr trip home. Staff very friendly & good service. environment was casual, coastal decor. Prices very reasonable for generous portions. Looking foward to my next visit there.

Great fresh seafood to take home. Cod, clams, oysters, staff is Young and not overly engaging but service is good. The could smile and be more helpful at the counter. They can tuna, salmon etc and sell. A bit spendy but worth it. We order bill tuna fillets every year for home canning. Competitive pricing. We love it there.

Nice place great staff. Bought 5 dozen oysters and was disappointed when we got home to Grant's Pass because they were very dry (no liquid in shells). Still edible but didn't seem fresh. To far to drive back to check with them. Will go back again. Stuff happens.

Went shopping at Chucks Seafood for a couple meals to have while camping on the coast. The lady working there was outstanding in recommending and then preparing the food for us (Oct 3, 2016) We had crab, rockfish and teriyaki smoked tuna. I would go there again except I live 2000km away!

This place is great. The cuts my family purchased were excellent. There were some issues. The scallops in the case were milky (frozen, thawed, then refrozen). They were also out of clam chowder. My brother in law said that they have been out each time he'd been there.

I moved to Arizona about a year ago and have been hanker'in for some fresh Dungeness crab for a while. I called up Chucks Seafood to see if they could help me out. They were able to overnight 5 lbs of the freshest, all cracked, pure crab meat to me, lickity split! The ice cold container was loaded with leg and claw meat and I could instantly tell it had been cooked and taken out of the shell just before they sent it. Absolutely delicious! High quality products - authentic Charleston service. This place does things well. Their seafood and smoked meats are the best in the Coos. They sell all the accouterments you need for your seafood feast (lemons, cocktail sauce, mixin' and dippins etc.). Their smoked fish and salmon sticks make a great quick lunch.

I've bought fish from here several times, most was really good, some just okay. I advise asking before making your decision, as some choices are frozen and not local, and there are no signs to tell which. (Although based on other reviews you may not get a truthful response...) Once a girl mentioned after I had paid, that my salmon was previously frozen. The prices are not really a bargain, Oregon Halibut $20/lbs, but then again, it was really good fish. I haven't had their canned stuff, but man when they have the canning equipment running you can smell it from the parking lot. There is another floating fish market at the Charleston docks, but their selection varies a lot.

We were in Charleston for vacation, and stopped at Chuck’s on our way home (more that a 8 hour drive) to bring home some oysters and fish. The woman who helped us (I am sorry I didn’t catch her name) was very helpful. She made sure that we were going to make it home with all of our purchases intact. Once we did make it home- WOW! The smoked steelhead was incredible, honestly the best smoked salmon I have ever had! The oysters were big and soooo delicious. If you happen to be in the area, stop here first- and enjoy the local catches as soon as possible.

I bought smoked teriyaki albacore tuna, fresh tuna loin and fresh halibut. Wife and I ate smoked fish for lunch... amazing! Moist and not soaked in teriyaki but great flavor. Then later we grilled the halibut for dinner with lime and dill. Delicious. Next night did the same with the tuna loin. Again it was excellent. Returned today and bought more smoked albacore and fresh lingcod. This is absolutely the freshest, highest quality fish that I’ve had in quite some time. I’ve paid more for lesser quality fresh fish in San Diego my home town... This is a fresh fish market that knows their product and does it right.

This place has been a traditional stop every time we come to Charleston for as long as I can remember. The smoked teriyaki tuna and smoked halibut are our favorite treats. The service is always great! If you've never been there, you should go. Now. :)
