We were on the 101 for a NW Coast road trip and happened to notice this place, we turned around and Im so glad we did! Their tuna belly was amazing! Easily the best fish Ive ever had. We got some extra, put it on ice and had an amazing picnic in the redwoods the next day.

I can't usually tell the difference in fish and chips from different restaurants, but these are the best fish and chips I've ever had. (Although you can only get them on weekends during the summer, and be prepared to wait for them as they're made to order). Besides that this is a great place to pick up fresh seafood and other seafood snacks - the pickled herring and salmon jerky are a couple of my favorites. Prices reflect the market; sometimes it's a steal other times it may seem spendy. Either way you're getting fresh fish. Cash only but there is an ATM.

Cash only is kind of a bummer, but not a deterrent. Wish the frozen crab was more reasonable. I spent $45 on a small piece of smoked salmon and 1 crab. The crab was frozen which made it heavier, but still charged an arm and a leg for it. I know it's not the Best season right now...but that price is ungodly expensive.

Our pit stop for fresh fish on our way home. At the north end of Lincoln City, on the east side of Hwy 101, it's easy to miss. Parking on north side in gravel lot. Look for a small white building with open front window edged in red lettering. Nice knowledgeable people with fresh local fish sold till gone. We have been there too late and they've been all sold out by 3pm. Smoked fish available for long hauls. Free ice available with your fish for the one to two hour trip, longer if you have a cooler. Bay mini shrimp and cleaned, ready to eat fresh crab were part of our "catch" from there this time. Rock fish and a small bit of halibut rounded out our take out. All that for less than $30.

This is the greatest non store/non restraunt serving up the freshest seafood around! They have been providing us with the greatest smoked salmon as long as I can remember, and constantly get it right! Go here on your way out of town to take the taste of the Pacific home with you. Or stop by to grab a snack before a beach walk. ... Don't expect tables, or table service! But do expect friendly service and great seafood!

I have visited my grandmothers house for every one of my 15 years, and when I started visiting alone, she would often buy fish for my grandpa to smoke and grill. It was probably the best, fresh Halibut, Tuna, and Salmon I’ve ever had, and I know fish as my Dad is a fisherman. I always asked her where she got it from. Barnacle Bills. Right next to the Community Center, wed go there every week maybe twice, and I loved seeing the fresh caught seafood. If it were up to me I’d name it the freshest bestest seafood “market” on the Oregon Coast and that is saying something! Thanks for reading and I may be young, but I know seafood and writing reviews. Definite recommendation.

I was recommended to try out Barnacle Bills while in Lincoln city. Believe it or not, some of BEST fish 'N' chips THAT I HAVE EVER HAD! They are usually busy which is a good sign. I really like to support the local businesses, so this place is definitely high on my recommendation list!

I bought already picked crab from Barnacle Bill's and it was delicious and made the best crab cakes that I've had in a long time. In fact, better than any of the restaurants where I've had crab cakes. However, they have started selling fish and chips and I bought some rock fish and chips from them. I expected it to be much fresher than it was but it had a very strong, unpleasant fishy taste. I will definitely go back there for crab but probably not for the fish and chips.

We got smoked salmon tips, salmon jerky and salmon cream cheese spread and they were absolutely fantastic!! Cooked and smoked perfectly! The guys working there were very nice. They put all of our stuff on ice to keep it cold for our long drive home. I'll most definitely be back!! Loved it!!!

Barnacle Bills' crab cocktail is the first thing I think of when I think of Lincoln City. At $12 it is a bit pricy but it is a good sized serving of crab. Now I can't miss it if I'm driving through, it is very good.

We were hoping for fresh oysters opened and on the shell but all they have here is unshelled oysters in little tubs. So we got the halibut fish and chips. I'm not the biggest fish and chips fan but the fish tasted really fresh and well, not fishy or oily... Not sure if we'd come again though as it was pretty pricey and not overwhelmingly good to match the price. This place is always busy though so maybe we just didn't order the right stuff from the menu.

Quick open front fish seller (no seating), ordered the crab cocktail and the shrimp cocktail. A pile of fresh Dungeness crab or bay shrimp and house made cocktail. What's not to love?! I'd love to see a spicier cocktail option. The recipe is good though. Also, the fish jerky is great, reminds me of my grandfather's smoked salmon.

I heard tell of a glorious little fish place where you could buy the tastiest smoked salmon the Oregon Coast had to offer. I immediately dismissed this as salmon is disgusting, as is all fish. However, my opinion being quite unpopular, led to me bringing home a bit of Barnacle Bill’s smoked salmon for my husband. This was met with great joy and a declaration that Barnacle Bill did, in fact, have the dang tastiest smoked salmon. My children both agreed with their father. So, while a bit on the expensive side, Barnacle Bill knows how to do it right. Have some. Enjoy. BUT BRING CASH!!!

Nice little *cash only* seafood and smoked fish market. The crew was knowledgeable about the available fish, and I landed on buying some fresh rock fish and fresh cod. The photo is of me cooking the rock fish. If was such a treat. The cod is for dinner tonight. ;) Super friendly staff, no wait when I visited at 3:30 pm on a Saturday. Prices were well worth it for fresh off the boat fish. They have an ATM on-site with a meager $2.50 fee and there is a Wells Fargo nearby too.

Love love love Barnacle Bill's. They have the best smoked salmon. You can choose the level of dryness or moistness that you like which is an added bonus. Beware they are cash only. I believe there is an ugly machine in a nook, but I don't know what the fees are on that. We recently got schucked oysters there and they seemed nice and fresh. It's a definite must stop.

We visited here the last week of May.. Their selection of fresh seafood is rather limited. No salmon steaks just fillets. No prawns other then cooked seasoned. The BIG pain is ... as others have pointed out CASH ONLY, and conveniently they have their own ATM in a small vestibule on premises, charges for cash withdrawal is $2.50... The prices for their seafood are high. The Salmon jerky was delicious, but the lack of salmon cuts and price for crab and CASH ONLY knocked this from what should be a 4+ star to a 3 star... Unfortunately... the only shop in Lincoln City or Depoe Bay.

STILL AMAZING!!! I used to come here in the mid 60s to get a shrimp cocktail with my Dad. We don't usually visit Lincoln City when we come to the beach but we're here for a wedding. I completely forgot about Barnacle Bill's but saw it when we were driving by. I haven't been here in 30 plus years easily but had to stop with my family to see if they still offered shrimp cocktails. They do! Really good tasting oregon shrimp meat with wonderful cocktail sauce and those amazing crackers. Wow! Since it was lunch time we decided to brave the halibut fish and chips and what a treat it was. Best fish and chips we've ever had, bar none, including the best fries of anywhere on the planet and my wife is a french fries connoisseur! So glad they haven't changed anything!! We'll come back to Lincoln City just to visit Barnacle Bill's who have now set the bar really high to compare other fish and chips to.

We enjoy going to Barnacle Bill's. They have lots of different items as well as the standards. They even have Spiced Prawns!!!!!!! Prices are reasonable, location is quite visible and parking is ample when you park on the corner. I have been a customer here for 40 years. They are great!

We have stopped here only once because there very expensive. There seafood tastes great. I think if there were other places like his it would bring down his prices. That's how it is in florence, Oregon. They have several open seafood markets so they compete for customers and there prices are lower. We've been to Lincoln City 3 times now and we've only found Barnacle bills. They are very friendly people.

I caught and smoked my own salmon for 40 years. I was the "master of the smoker's" according to my friends. Barnacle Bills beat my salmon in a side by side blind test....it is that good. Save yourself a lot of work by buying the very best from Bill's. So good, you can even eat the gray fat full of Omega 3 right off the skin...wow! This is the best there is folks. Don't miss stopping for salmon and other treats from the sea.

Always have looked forward to grabbing our combo cocktail for a snack in hotel room(been doing it for many years)not sure what happened but never again, they used to pack our little to go container, now it’s weighed, not much in there, and the pieces of Crab would be delightful size morsels, no anymore...also it’s like they gave us bbq sauce(it’s awful) for crab and shrimp not cocktail sauce, so disappointing, we will not visit again. If I could have left a negative star I would have. Please go back to the way you were, you said haven’t changed since 1949, that is a lie.
