The store is great, the grooming.... I called before I went to make sure they could do my dog's toenails. Said sure come by any time, you don't need an appointment. So I did. Drove 40 minutes to get there only to be told that even though my dog has a rabies tag I needed her records before they could do her toenails. They said people take tags off other dogs to get around the rule. 40 minute drive. Called the Augusta location who told me over the phone the rule, which is fine, at least tell people. Very disappointed in the unprofessional management.

I wish I could give this location 0 stars. I brought in my 8 month old GSD puppy for a bath package and I discovered he was injured- they cut the quick under 4 of his nails. I only found out after leaving because his paw was bleeding profusely and the back seat cover was covered in blood (photo). I had mentioned that he was sensitive about his paws with everyone to the groomer, Hanna so that she would be aware. When I showed the photos of his paws to the store manager Kyle his reply was "I've seen worse." His lack of compassion and professionalism were despicable. An apology would have been nice. Beware that they could care less about the wellbeing of your pet here. How is he supposed to learn to trust people? He's now likely traumatized about his nails being cut.

Beware of the groomer First off the store is great the staff is really friendly and always try to help answer any questions you have the store it's self would get 4 or 5 stars.... However groomers is why they get a one star. I have a long hair small dog who I bring in anywhere from once a month to once every 3 months depending on the weather to get a bacis groom sometimes I splurge for the nail grind and stuff when the groomer bullies me into it. The first couple of times I went it was great that was 4 years ago and slowly but surely they have gotten worse and worse. I'm not saying they don't have good groomers at all I'm sure there's one there has to be right? But the last few times I've gone my little man comes back looking like a toddler for ahold of him and they just cut the long pieces the kid left and hand him back to me this time was the last strew 55 bucks they hacked his fur barely clipped his nails and didn't tell me he had a scab on his neck... I don't think they did that (my dog gets nervous and digs) but it would have been nice to know before I freaked out when I felt it. It used to feel like I was dropping my baby off at a friend's house, not it feels like I'm leaving him with a stranger. I'm going to find a different groomer one who understands my dog better and not just a rotating door of random people who don't stay more than 6 months

Everyone is always so helpful and Katelyn in the grooming department was amazing! I had a bad experience with the evans petsmart earlier today, but when i called the grooming department she was so sweet and helpful even though it was close to closing time she bathed and trimmed my Yorkie with a smile on her face the entire time. I loved how she loved and treated my dog and he loved her! I highly recommend Katelyn if you need your dog groomed, she's amazing! Thanks again Katelyn!

My wife and I were happy with the customer service and our dog thought she was in a candy store. We thought the bill was high after checking out, but didn't look at the receipt until we got home. We were charged for two $10 frisbees but only bought one. We had a 2 for 1 coupon for Dentley treats and bought 2 bags. We were charged $12.50 for both bags and they gave us $4.00 off of Milk Bones. We don't live nearby so we are just out $22.00.

With 2 yr old son on my hip, and 75lb nervous dog in hand, I walk into PetSmart for a quick nail trim. I normally do it myself but get nervous. I know I don't take enough off so I wanted to leave it to the professionals. Looks wise, everyone there was hung over. The girl who greeted me couldn't figure out how to keep her sweatpants on. She asked me if I wanted a nail trim and said one moment. In comes the next girl who asks is I have proof of rabies since I am new. I say "yeah, she has her tags". Oh, that's not enough. I need paper work. FOR A NAIL TRIM....... She was all understanding and apologetic but not willing to do anything to help me out. Perfect way to waste 20 minutes of my hectic day!

I have had mixed experiences at this location. Usually the staff are very helpful, and they offer a good variety of foods, toys, etc. I like that they have an adoption area where you can play with cats and kittens. They offer dog training classes which is also nice. The aquarium supplies leave a little bit to be desired and the live aquarium plant selection looks a little sick. The Banfield vet services are a giant mess. We waited over an hour in a little room that felt like a Wal-Mart listening to ad videos try to sell us vet plans before finally talking to a very rude vet. Go for the supplies, but don't bother with the vet services.

Then also the dog urinated on the counter and the floor the guy left it and never cleaned it up or did anything. Walked away from it and went to grab another dog. Never will I be back.

Big issue with stocking product. I understand limited shelf space and that the items I need are likely to be sold out. But numerous times, the clerks and asst manager would take my info and promise that they would special order the products and give me a call when they came in. Never got a call. I don't go there to browse, I go there to get specific items. If they can't manage special orders, I think it 's time to start shopping somewhere else.

I took both of my dogs for grooming in the North Augusta Petsmart on Sunday, 9/3/17. While I was waiting to be waited on I was watching one of the groomers work on a dog. He was half-heartedly paying attention to what he was doing. I was thinking I hope he doesn't get my dog. Well with my luck he got my Shitzu. I thoroughly explained to him what I wanted and told him I was picky. Well I picked up my dogs, my Boykin who was to just be bathed and nails clipped was just fine, however my Shitzu was another story! She looked horrible! Her ears weren't finished, I told him not to cut eyelashes, he cut one eye and not the other, he left partial hair on her behind, one side, not the other, her feet weren't trimmed well at all. I asked him to cut her tail to leave it 1-2 " long, it wasn't trimmed at all. Her chin underneath had a place he missed. I was totally disgusted. Lets not even begin to talk about what they charged me! $33 to bathe a dog? Are you serious. I spoke with store manager and he wanted me to bring her back in so they could fix her, there is no way I am driving an hour to the store without any reimbursement to have her fixed. I wouldn't trust what they would do to my dogs. My Shitzu had the $50 Premium Grooming however they charged extra for buffing her nails which I explicitly told them not to do! I wasn't going to pay $12 extra on top of $50 for her "Premium" grooming. They did credit me $12.00 off of a $102 dollar bill. I also asked for hypoallergenic Shampoo for my Shitzu, they failed to tell me there was an additional charge for that! I have never had a groomer charge extra for shampoo. I will never ever go to any Petsmart again for grooming, they obviously are in it for the money. No concern about my babies.

A woman with a 120# Great Dane let her dog loose in the store. My 7# Chihuahua and I were terrified. The animal literally got in our faces and followed us. Even though I begged the dog owner to get her beast out of my face she laughed and belittled us like a playground bully. The Asst. Store Mgr. Steve befrinded the Dane owner (who was young and cute) and rewarded the Dane with a treat. We were disregarded. We will never shop at Petsmart again.

I have an indoor feral cat with IBS, and the supermarket brands gave him chronic diarrhea. Staff here suggested a limited ingredients diet, and his tummy issues have been significantly reduced. Also every 13th bag of food or case of candy is free. So if you consistently shop here it offsets the higher price of quality food.

The young man at the checkout took the time to find the best deals for dried chicken. He saved me $7 a package. And while I was assembling my full basket, the assistant manager recommended another type of dried chicken for my very spoiled cat to Try. Georgie didn't like it, and I will take back the brand that he didn't like. It's easy to try new brands at PetSmart; for a finicky cat that is a blessing. The aisles are wide and the merchandise is attractively displayed, but the knowledge of the PetSmart people is what I really rely on.

Me, again. I now volunteer with Molly's Malitia to help take care of the cats that are up for adoption placed at Petsmart for viewing. I stopped by for a few min on my unassigned day (night to be exact) just to see if I could help do anything. Before leaving I grabbed a bag of food for my own 2 little cute heads and proceeded to check out..after I had to let the guy sweeping 3 feet in front of me know that I was ready. Apparently standing and swaying at the register with food in hand isn't the global sign of READY anymore. He was cocky, short worded, and flat out acted as if I just interrupted him off the couch at the house. I was gonna let it go not knowing if I had pushed it to 9:01 with the store closing at 9. I even said thanks at the end of our awkward interaction although I wasn't thankful for anything and to no surprise he didn't say jack. As he walked away, head held high, I looked at my phone to notice it was 8:58...So I said "hey you know it's not 9 yet ,right" and he acted like he couldn't hear me...so I repeated it in the same way , in the same tone, at the same voice volume notch, and he said "yes why" and I said "because you just acted like I was the biggest bother and Interruption for you" and his excuse was because he was sick . I understand about being sick but you're at a place of business and once again he said "yeah but I'm sick". He never apologized or tried to make it right whatsoever! in fact, it was like he wanted me to tuck my tail in and walk away. So I walked away to my car to write this review. I'm calling someone who matters tomorrow and if I had his momma's number I'd call her too. He must be a sickly young man bc Ive only known him to act too big for his britches every encounter.

Though I did have some issue finding (unassisted) the large bags of Hills cat food the first time, no other complaints whatsoever.

I have two Australian Shepherds who go to Petsmart North Augusta for grooming. They like it and are happy to go back, which has not been the case with other grooming salons. I like the professional grooming that they receive. One has a particularly heavy coat, which the groomer laughingly describes as "epic". And it is! Nevertheless, she does a fantastic job and I have two beautiful dogs as a result of the grooming services there.

My Chihuahua is a little bit of a drama queen when getting his nails trimmed. Good selections and prices, but I come in for food for my lizards on a semi- weekly basis, and there’s never anyone available to help with crickets or the frozen worms. I understand it’s not the main profit or service of the business, but walking around the store for almost 20 minutes and not being helped is kind of ridiculous. While the toy selection is decent if you have an aggressive Chewer or a teething puppy I suggest you get more durable toys than found her. Staff is very friendly. There's a good variety of food for both cats and dogs. The cats in the store are housed there for the humane society, and they do not sell dogs or puppies. They do however have monthly adoption events for local shelters and rescues to allow them to bring in the pups in hopes of finding them a forever home. I love what PetSmart is all about.

I took my Maltese in for bath, teeth brushing. My maltese looks like only her face was washed, she smells (not good), and her hygiene areas were cleaned off at all. Petsmart is pretty expensive to not do the work. I call and spoke with a gentleman whom told me to bring her. Now I must take time out again to have then do it correctly. Next time I will take back to vca for grooming.

My wife and I stopped by to look at their selection of fish oil supplements for our dog. He's been struggling with the dry air of winter and we knew that fish oil was the typical way to help with this. A sales associate approached us and we explained this to her. She listened and confirmed what we knew about the dry air and explained that fish oil is a good supplement that can help with this. Then she added, "Or, just stop by the grocery store and pick up some coconut oil." I love it when a place makes me feel like my needs are important. We researched coconut oil and the sales associate was right, it does everything we need it to and is much cheaper than fish oil. This location has consistently treated us with friendliness and kindness. We will continue to shop here for our dog's food and toys, just to support the great advice we get for free on our visits.

I’LL NEVER BRING MY DOG BACK TO THIS PLACE FOR GROOMING!!! IT’S SO DISAPPOINTING. THEY WELCOME YOU WARMLY BUT TREAT YOUR DOGS CRUELLY. I told them to trim the hairs inside my dog’s ear, the stylist just used her finger to pluck out the hairs from the ears. I was standing outside and witnessed everything happen. I thought that if she saw me looking at what she did she would treat him better, but nothing changed. My dog was screaming and she didn’t stop at all. They are professional with their grooming skills BUT they are not professional in taking due care of your pets. I can’t say other stylists/PetSmart might do the same thing, but I REALLY don’t recommend bringing your dogs to groom here.

The store itself is great. Everything is easy to find and in my experience always in stock. The option of buying online and picking up in store is fantastic and I try to do that as often as possible so I don't wander the aisles and spend more. The prices are great and there is a lot of product variety. There are a lot of friendly employees but there are also some that look like they'd rather be anywhere else and it's a bit offputting when they're the last representation of the store you have contact with.

Given card with corporate phone number hand written on it. Able to use smart phone to find needed food at another PetSmart in Dublin on Sawmill road with knowledgeable and helpful person. She was able to explain only certain stores will carry this type and that according to the code number she was looking at I would be able to obtain the food there in the future. Please instruct your minimum wage service personnel in the basics of service. Nice but need to take extra steps to be of assistance.

We have had our Bernese Mountain to this Petsmart store for the last 3 years, and no one has done a better job of grooming him anywhere in Columbus and Johnstown area. I’m personally really not a fan of their grooming services. I’ve seen them be too rough with the animals and manhandle them (in my opinion), which is funny because they groom them right out in the open with windows to the grooming stations. I’ve also noticed one of my dogs consistently comes back hoarse after getting his nails trimmed there, I think because he’s barking so loud and/or choking himself out in the holder thing they hook the dogs up to. Either way, it’s also dirty in their grooming area (hair EVERYWHERE), like they can’t keep up with sweeping the hair. And the little retail area in the grooming area is also a disorganized mess. The groomers are nice enough but they’re definitely a little goofy too. I no longer get my dogs groomed at PM and instead found a locally owned where’s my dogs and I feel more comfortable.

Nice pet store. I love that they have cats for adoption from actual rescue groups. And good rescue groups at that. All of the animals cages (including the fish) were clean and the animals looked well taken care of. The employees have always been very nice not pushy or opinionated. Prices are higher than getting pet supplies through so many online options but that is the price of having a brick and mortar location. I am not allowed here very often as I always come home with "oops it jumped in the cart"or "the (fill in said pet) needs it".
