I had the shrimp and chips. Although the shrimp were large and fresh tasting, the food had no seasoning whatsoever. My husband had the fish and it was overcooked and bland. The coleslaw and fries were also tasteless. I would not return.

The owner took the time to inform me about how to clean a squid and I'm looking forward to enjoying wild caught salmon for New Year's Eve. Great place!

They do have one high chair available. The service was just about the friendliest I've ever had. I can't wait to go back for peel and eat shrimp! This time I had fried ocean perch, fries, and coleslaw and all were great. The market is full of beautiful seafood, too.

Finally stumbled upon a true gem on the west side of Columbus! Half of it is a fantastic seafood market, filled with fresh catches, sides, and a wine selection to pair with your fish. The other half is a busy, friendly and out of this world restaurant. Word to the wise: get your plate to go, as it is a tiny seating area. But the delicious choices of meals will more than make up for that. So far, we have tried the shrimp PO boy, salmon sandwich which came with amazing thick cuts of bacon , and a perfect salmon salad. Amazing!

Finally made it in again. Picked up some frozen fish, saw amazing looking salmon as I walked in. Asked for 2 pieces. Man behind the counter pulled out 2 pieces of salmon from behind the counter - said 'oh it's the same thing, take these." I'm like, ok sure. Also got fried perch platter from the cooked food side. They were out of basically everything - smelts, oysters, etc. Perch and fries were good. Bought fish on the weekend, was going to cook it Monday - opened the plastic bag and it smelled FISHY. Touched it, and salmon wasn't firm at all, kinda slimy. I love fish, I know what it's supposed to smell like, I cook it. But this was gross. I guess the fish behind the counter wasn't the same, or all the fish was old, and some just looked better. For all the good reviews, and buying good seafood a couple of years ago, this was disappointing and super gross. 2 stars are for the fried perch, and the nice lady on the cooked food side who offered me malt vinegar with my fish and fries.

We finally made it to Frank's. It's an hour drive and we had our fingers crossed. The place is fantastic! We ordered a walleye platter and a salmon salad. They were done to perfection. Just use the tiniest bit of sauce on the walleye because it is that good! The gumbo is a must if you go here. The clam chowder had a little bit of raw flour flavor but was good overall. The fries are like state fair fries, and some Greek kitchens cook fries this way. Killer with a little malt vinegar. It seem like we will be putting a few more miles on our cars.

This is a hidden gem. A small family owned fish longer that promotes constant fresh fish. The part is they have a restaurant attached to the market where you can done on the fresh caught fish. If they don't have you can ask for it and they will get it for you, that type of customer ser ice is impossible to find nowadays. If I could I would give this place a 10/5

By this being our first time going to this place my friend bought some cat fish from them. The next day we cooked the fish and it was good better thin going to the real grocery stores. The people in there were very friendly and nice. She was able to tell you about all the fish they had in there. She seem to know there product pretty well. I would recommend to try them out.

The food here was surprisingly tasty. It wasn't cheap but for a nice treat. Very small interior for the cafe side, just two tables and counter seating along one wall. It was very packed so better to call order ahead or go early. I only tried a few menu items but overall everything I tried was tasty. The fish store side is really nice with a lot of selection.Both complement each other well. I could buy fish in the store side and the cafe side will fry it to your taste. Simple dessert menu but they were excellent too. While hot the soup was very good. After it cooled I found it to be too thick. Definitely give this place a try.

I used to come here often and the fish is usually very fresh and delicious. However, today within 30 minutes of consuming a tuna steak from here, I broke out into a rash all over my body, developed a pounding headache, and had distressing GI symptoms. What a great little place with nice people and really good seafood (They also have lamb chops that I will try soon.) It's a small, comfortable place, one of those market-and-a-restaurant establishments. They told me if the restaurant doesn't offer what you're looking for on the menu, you can walk just a few steps over to the market side and choose from the variety of fresh seafood options on display there and have the restaurant side cook it up for you. As for me - I had the crab salad on a previous occasion, then today I had fried oysters, gumbo and their lemon cake. Everything was very, very good.

My boyfriend has apparently frequented this place for a while. It was my first time in and it was great! I had a shrimp poor boy which was delicious and my boyfriend had the catfish platter. I never post reviews, but I had to after going here. They do everything right. You can cut their fried fish with a fork. The fried calamari was tender, not chewy. The catfish was amazing. The fried pickles are crispy and perfectly seasoned. The coleslaw is crunchy and lightly sauced. The cheesecake is so flavorful, it's served naked with no toppings. They even have sonic ice for their soda. After dinner, we talked with the owners, who are wonderful people. You can see that they put a lot of tbought and effort into every aspect of their food.

The staff is super helpful in the fish is always fresh. There are lots of wild-caught options and inevitably I roll in there 5 minutes before close every time I go because that's the earliest I can get there and they're always so gracious to let me still come in and purchase my catch. If you don't know what you're in the mood for they're happy to help you with recommendations as well. They keep seasonings breading lemons and etcetera stocked as well see you can pick up those little items you forgot you were going to need the last time we were at the grocery store great little fish market and accompanying restaurant.

We really like this little fish market! We've been buying our fish here for years. Just recently we tried out the restaurant. The food was really good! The fish was fresh. Go on Tuesday for the fish tacos, so yummy! One kiddo had the salmon sandwich and the other had fried perch. All were full and happy! Portions are generous and the people are friendly. We will definitely be back!! It is very casual, with a small area to eat inside, and a larger patio outside. We just brought ours home, so it works well for carryout too.

Updated review- had some carry out from the restaurant today. Have always shopped the retail store, but did not like the restaurant food when we had it years ago. Almost certain it's a completely new set of folks running the restaurant. The woman who seems to run the restaurant could not be more sweet and welcoming. We had the fried oyster appetizer and some clam chowder for lunch. Absolutely delicious! The oysters taste like oysters and the breeding is perfect and just compliments them- very well prepared. Good soup as well. We'll be back soon as everything that came out looked fantastic.

The seafood here rivals, and often exceeds the quality and value of most restaurants in town. Also can compete with alot of coastal establishments. It is located in small space of fish market. Indoor and outdoor seating encourages conversation with other customers. Has a big "to go" business.

My husband and I just got home from our first visit to Frank's Fish and Seafood Market. We will definitely be going back -- often. The seafood is fresh and deliciously prepared. The vegetable side was prepared when we ordered - crisp tender, fresh and delicious. Redskins are to die for! My husband is a gumbo fanatic and he says their's beats any he has ever tasted. Meticulously clean, friendly efficient staff, and very friendly atmosphere. If you like seafood, you owe it to yourself to give this place a try.

very very upset called yesterday (saturday) was told they close at 2 on sunday. I drove from work to make it here to buy fresh seafood and they were closed at 1:50. as a business u should keep your doors open until 2 when they are supposed to be. First time calling in to order. Had heard wonderful things about this place. The owner lady was very rude on the phone. I was reading the menu on the computer and had a question about one of the plates. She was extremely RUDE and told me to hurry up that they had people waiting in line, over ONE question that I asked. DEAR OWNERS - I AM ALSO A CUSTOMER, just because I chose to CALL does NOT make me inferior to others who are there.I had never ordered before and the menu for Fresh catch (if you can even pull it up on their CRAPPY WEBSITE does not indicate that it is a sandwich - which is what I wanted to know. She hung up on me. I called back and found out she owned the place. I am VERY disappointed, and so I will not be going there. maybe it doesn't matter to you LADY, but I hope this review stays on your restaurant for YEARS and YEARS. I have never been treated so badly - just to place an order. Ridiculous.

Fish was Great but over priced. I got 7 frest for 7.99lb she add 4 frozen and the charged an extra 7.50 wowzer good fish but wont be retuning could have got the same at a regular grocery store would have got almost the same for same price.

This place is the bomb. I dont like all fish and tried one that i knew i was not going to like but i wanted to try it any way. Well it was cook great and that was not the issue i had it was the fish its self the really fishy taste well the wonderful people that owns it saw my face and was not about to let me leave like that. This is the best seafood restaurant I've ever had. The fried fish was perfectly breaded. The fries were perfectly sliced and cooked. Everything was perfectly seasoned. I had a cod po boy and it was everything I could have asked for plus more. I asked for tartar sauce on the side because I normally don't like tartar sauce but this sauce was amazing. I did not shop from the market side but I went over to that side and it seemed like a good variety of fish and wine. The only con I have is that they're not open on Sunday or Monday. They have fish taco Tuesdays but I have not gone on a Tuesday yet.

I love the warm and cozy atmosphere the couple who own it give starting from the time you walk in to the time you leave!! The food there was so flavorful and you could task the quality and the time they took to cook it and prepare it!! I love this place! I have been coming here to buy fresh seafood for years and it's always fresh and delicious. Better than any grocery store in town. I will stop into the restaurant to pick up lunch on occasion too and it is also good.
