This was the 1st time I've eaten here. Being from the East coast, I'm ALWAYS on the hunt for tasty, authentic seafood here in ohio. We tried the fish & chips (which comes with 3 hushpuhush, coleslaw and twisty thick cut chips) a small lobster bisque and a small clam chowder which came to around $22. Both soups we're EXTREMELY salty! The flavor of the chowder was ok, but due to the amount of salt in both soups, they we're inedible. The coleslaw was bland and salty with a slight bitterness. The chips (aka french fries) we're fine, but how can one mess that up? The hush puppies were very dense. The flavor was ok. The cod was panko crusted, which is nice, but they gave no lemon with the fish. The crust on the fish was VERY under seasoned and bland, but the tarter sauce tasted nice. Overall, for me, this was a miss. I will not be ordering from them again. I don't feel the food was properly seasoned. Soups & slaw were so salty, they were inedible, the hush puppies were too dense, the 5 pieces of fries we're ok, the fish itself was under seasoned, the crust was bland.

Perhaps a little pricey for my budget, but the BayLobsters Fish Market was very nice! I asked tons of questions and was given lots of answers, as I looked to buy fish there were many options, everything was perfectly clean, I was able to sample... Whew, I could go on and on! Anyways, overall great experience. If you want fresh seafood in Ohio, this is the place to go!

What a wonderful find! We made the trip for the perch and walleye then decided to stay for lunch. I had the lobster bisque with the seafood cake and two sides. Generous portions! Husband had the char, two sides, and lobster mac and cheese. The owner brought us samples of the seafood cakes and a seafood chowder. That chowder was awesome. Next time, I may just feast on the chowder alone. Just an all around nice experience. Highly recommended.

Drove 45 minutes to be disappointed. Walked away with NOTHING. Most of the fish was frozen and very high priced. There are limited number of table and chairs where you can order food, they fry up and bring to your table. There homemade hot clam chowder had a strong flour taste, flour not cooked prior to adding mirepoix. It was fairly clean, NO ambiance at all. 2 tables outside on walk next to parking lot.

First visit. I had the fish and chips with a small bowl of lobster bisque. The bisque was a house recipe and was very good. He uses a little bit of tabasco sauce which gives it a subtle heat. The fish was done perfectly with a nice crisp breading, the coleslaw was a typical slaw but very good, the hush puppies were spot on, and the thick and wide spiral cut beer batter chips were unique and well prepared.

I was expecting a little more, I drove 45 min, and arrived at 11 a.m. on a Saturday morning. Being that be the name of the business is Baylobster..I was expecting live lobsters to purchase, not all frozen.. I was also hoping to buy lobster/dip to make my own lobster rolls at home, but there was only one 8 ounce container in the front cooler to purchase. When I said I'll just order 2 lobster rolls on their restraunt menu, she said she only had the 8oz container.. disappointed. I ended up buying $16.99 lb cod and $8.99 lb Tilapia. The employee helping with fish selection was very nice.

We had been looking to purchase crab legs for quite some time period my husband and I have purchase crab legs for the 27 years that we have been married. Annually we have bought them for each other's birthday and wedding anniversaries. We stopped at this location at the end of the day in hopes to pick up crab legs we had seen many post on Facebook of what they had to offer. Sadly when we arrived the display cases were empty and the crab legs that they did have were 2 different prices because one weighed more than the other they charged a dollar difference. We spent a $170 purchasing crab legs shrimp and crab cakes which, kudos to them...they tasted good. Unfortunately the crab legs that we had purchased from them after cooking one bag, stuck to the inside of the shell and were difficult to dislodge the meat. And the 2nd bag there was minimal crab meat inside of them...this was a first in all of our years of purchasing and eating crab legs. They made a post on Facebook to please call them to discuss. I did call them to share our experience with the owners wife. I was placed on hold for quite a lengthy amount of time. She had a conversation with her husband only to come back and say that there was nothing they felt that they could do or needed to do.." these were animals" they couldn't they control how much meat that they would have. ... Thank goodness crab legs go onsale tomorrow at Giant Eagle! We plan to stock up. We would NOT reccomend wasting your money here. 2/17/2019 You only post things to make make you sound as if you are professional. Yor ladt remark stated tgat your buyer was informed by you about our complaint. You said publicly that they were going to credit yoy $50 That you woud refund to my credit card. I just checked. It shouldn't take 16 Days to get a credit back to me you promised! And Giant Eagle may sell smaller legs, however the 9 bags we bought their all had meat!!! Your word means nothing!! To post publicly you're returning money, then not to follow through is SHAMEFUL!

I've only been to Bay Lobster twice so I don't know the place super well, but the impression that I have as far as the quality of the food goes is that you couldn't get better sea food anywhere else. Sure you could go to Buhlers and get some mediocre fish and shrimp - that would be cheaper - but you would really be missing out on better sea food. It's about as fresh as can be, and very reasonably priced. I definitely will be buying seafood from there again.

I'm not sure which is better, the fish or the people selling it all. The selection of fish is outstanding like something you'd see in a south Florida restaurant with everything but gator on the menu. And if you have any question about dome fish you know nothing about, the staff is amazing at telling you how to prep, cook, and/or store it. Just don't make the mistake I did and leave there the first time without eating a meal. This place has quickly become my favorite restaurant and store.

This is a wonderful family-owned business! They have a wide range of seafood options both fresh and frozen. They also serve/sell meals and prepared seafood dishes like mango crab dip (MUST TRY!), lobster salad, and seaweed salad. The red rock shrimp is some of our favorite and has ruined us on all other shrimp. They also have a selection of sashimi grade fish. Everything is marked with the country of origin and farm vs. wild caught distinction which I really appreciate. This is the only place in town that we buy seafood from. Plus, they're super nice! They do also have a loyalty program where after so much money spent over several transactions, you earn money off. No need to carry around a card, just give them your phone number each time!

I love how fresh the seafood is at Bay Lobsters Café & Fish Market. My family especially enjoys having them prepare tilapia deep fried with their special house seasoning. It’s also good grilled with Cajun seasoning when I’m in the mood for something a little different. The staff is friendly and super helpful. They’re willing to prepare whatever seafood I purchase with whichever seasoning I want (house seasoning, Cajun grilled or blackened). Or I can purchase the seafood I want and prepare it myself. When I have them prepare a meal for me, I also enjoy getting their fried okra. If you want fresh seafood, this is the place to go. It may be a little more expensive than in regular grocery stores in the area, but the freshness and the variety of selection makes it well worth the price!

The atmosphere is fun, large selection of fresh seafood and fish. No boxed or pre- packaged, frozen pieces here! I had the sampler and the clams, shrimp, haddock and curly fries were amazing!
