Brandon Horne

Tacos, burritos, Taco salads... Also margaritas. Might be the second best Mexican in greensboro

Bobby G

Pineapple, bacon, shrimp, and chicken? Yes. Hawaiian Arroz Con Pollo. Best ACP anywhere, although I've never been to Tegucigalpa.

Michael Cannon

Always GREAT food and friendly service!!

Christian Ormond

Excellent Salsa and great Tacos. One of the better "Southeast" Mexican Spots.

zayauna gidderon

Usually a great spot. But this time the experience was alright. They were busy and there were more people than usual. I still live this place. Always 5 stars

Amanda Chase

They don't load the burritos up with a bunch of filler rice and beans. The El Pastor meat filling is my favorite. Their patio area is relaxing when they have the windows open and the service is great. I recommend trying their jalapeno margarita as well.

Adam Salmeron

Zach Moore

Chicken, fish, and Hawaiian tacos are awesome! Cheap/good food, cold beer, what more could you want?

Arlene V.

Great cozy atmosphere near UNCG. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. They were out of steak so had to change one order but what we got was delicious. Would definitely go here again.

I love Pedro's and it's a welcome addition to Tate St. The staff is friendly, great combos, and fun atmosphere. Most of all though, the food is just on point.

Kathleen Leary

A fresh, hip joint for basic Mexican food. Everything is fresh, including the corn tortillas, which are made in house! Ask for the advocado hot sauce.. it's delightful. Oh, and check out the patio on a nice night!

Sasanka Vuyyuru

2 out of three items I ordered were great. Was not a fan of the steamed dumplings as the wrap was too thick and doughy

Lewis Small

Some of the better ACP dishes that I've had

Chloe Simmons

Best restaurant in Greensboro, their po-boy taco is to die for

Justin Nguyen

The only reason I’m giving this place one more star than it needs is because the bathroom smelled nice. The tacos was nasty. The beans was nasty. The cheese was too much. Service was slow. Would not recommend.

LaTonya Graves

1st time visiting the service was slow and I found a hair in my food. Last time visiting.

Brad Durham

The sanitation rate is a 96. I visited on Taco Tuesday when the tacos are .99c and the chicken tacos tasted like they were from a can. Gross!

Cam Conover Jr

Enjoy eating at Pedro’s: good food, friendly servers who care, easy parking off street. Their food is a step beyond the typical Mexican restaurant, my wife says it’s more authentic, I just know it is better tasting.

Julie Parker

Fantastic tacos!

Lucero Pelagio

The tortas are not worth your money if you’re barely even getting any meat in it. I was basically eating bread, extremely disappointed. Also there was lack of flavor. Don’t spend money on food that you’ll be disappointed. Not going there anymore I had three bad experiences with their flavor, quantity and quality of their food. Sorry but it’s a no for me anymore. :’(

The corner of Walker and Tate has been home to a succession of bad Mexican restaurants over the years, but there was hope that Pedro's would be an improvement over its predecessors. Reviews were positive, and the menu offers more than the same predictable Tex-Mex offerings. While the food is a step in the right direction, Pedro's still has a ways to go in other areas. First, the good: the brightly colored décor gives Pedro's a beach casual ambiance, and the food selection is commendable. While you can find the standard burritos and fajitas and whatnot here, Pedro's also offers enticing apps (elote dip, carne asada fries), build your own salad bowls for the health-conscious, and authentic-style tacos with a variety of fillings. For our first visit, my wife and I split the elote dip and went with three tacos apiece. The dip - a dressed-up queso with corn - was addictively good, and the accompanying chips were fresh. The tacos were not among the best in town, but they were more enjoyable than not. The carne asada was well-seasoned, the shrimp came with a delicious sauce, and the chorizo was appropriately spicy. While the pastor had the right flavor profile, the meat was disappointingly dry. Accompanying rice and beans were strictly run-of-the-mill. Given the number of UNCG students this place must attract, it is not surprising that prices are fairly low. Our dip and chips ran about $5 while any three tacos with rice and beans came out to $9. You will get your money's worth eating here. Service, on the other hand, leaves a lot to be desired. My wife and I visited shortly after 7 p.m. on a Sunday, and the restaurant was mostly empty. Our server was accommodating at first, but toward the end of the meal, a handful of patrons congregated at the bar, she went on bartending duty, and we were promptly forgotten. Cue awkward waiting and another server who seemed peeved when we asked him about our check. Staff could also be overheard arguing loudly with one another in Spanish. Were I still living on Tate Street, I would be more inclined to overlook these issues. Indeed, for College Hill residents - and especially the carless among them - the prospect of mostly tasty cheap eats can be enough to offset possible staff mismanagement. But for those who aren't limited to the neighborhood, El Mercadito and El Azteca are both better options for your taco fix.

Jarrod Stanley

Delicious food for really cheap prices. Fantastic lunch spot with wicked quick service. Taco Tuesdays with $1.00 Tacos.

Bill Jordan

Great people good food.

"My first time here just for the bachata class and to try out their food" 6/6/2017 - This business posted an event for Taco Tuesday for Bachata Classes and 99 cents Tacos. What they did not clarify in their Event Description was the fact that the Bachata Class was $7 Dollars. The 99 Cent "Tacos" were through a purchase of a drink and you could only choose between Chicken or Beef. Quality of food extends to even the least of things in any restaurant. Its suppose to bring you in and give you a sense that there are tastier menu items. I got the "99 Cents" Tacos through the "Gringo Special" aka American Special with a purchase of a drink. The event page says 99 Cent Tacos (BUT YOU HAVE TO BUY A DRINK AND ARE LIMITED TO ONLY CHICKEN OR GROUND BEEF). The Taco meat was microwaved, both the beef and chicken. The Chicken meat was definitely nuked and dried to a choking hazard. Honestly you can make this at home, don't waste your time (Even if you have never made tacos at home, trust me). This is a makeshift "Hispanic" restaurant meant to capitalize off of cheap ingredients for a fake "Authentic" feel. DO NOT GO HERE. If you want authentic taco's or food, there are much better places. The quality of the food they serve was garbage. You might say, there are other things on the menu that could be better. If you rather give it 50% than 100% on quality and taste. then your food is fit to feed your home and not people with any taste. The price of the bachata class and tacos are not of any concern to me. This review shouid be taken as more against the food than the class. I do not like to be baited, only to arrive and find something different than what was advertised.

Jordan Patterson

food is good here. the wait is a bit long. but over all good experience

Zoe Hummings

My friends and I go here all the time! Relatively affordable for a college student, great food (try the number 9), and best of all, the staff is like family. We legitimately consider Jonathan to be a personal friend. Why spend $6 at taco bell when you could spend it locally at pedro’s? Don’t think twice, you need pedro in your life.

Nick Carr

Great tacos, fresh salsas, and friendly service!

Pamela Neese

I really wanted to enjoy this place, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. I was excited because I was referred here by an employee of the restaurant. Also, UNCG is my alma mater, and I still frequent the shops and restaurants around campus. Having worked food service for many years, I can understand that it was a Saturday night, and they were understaffed and overwhelmed that night. The hostess/cashier was new, but she was very pleasant and did the best she could. I felt sorry for her, because she was left to deal with all the angry customers. But it was the food that was subpar. I'm sure it wasn't the kitchen staffs' first night, or first busy Saturday. So I cannot give grace there. I waited over 40 minutes for a to go order. The restaurant was not filled to capacity. In fact less than half the seats were filled, so I'm not really sure what the issue was. I got the three tacos al pastor meal with rice and refried beans. It came with chips and salsa. I didn't eat the salsa, but the chips looked and tasted like bagged chips. High quality bagged chips, but still not fresh, in house chips. The rice was pretty bland-- very little seasoning and no vegetables (which wouldn't have been an issue if it had more favor). The beans were too salty; only bearable if paired with the bland rice. If all that was the entirety of my meal, it would have been a 2.5-3 star experience. The tacos. The referring employee told me that the tortillas were handmade daily. They didn't taste like fresh tortillas, but maybe they use premade when there's a rush. I forgave them that. The pork was underseasoned (which was strange with the amount of color to the marinade) and tasted a bit off. At the time I attributed it to the marinade. But one and a half tacos in and I became suddenly nauseated and began to vomit. I hate to give final decisions on restaurants after just one meal. I understand that there are crazy, off nights in food service, I've been there many a times. But also looking through my lens of experience, there has to be enough check marks to warrant a second chance. And unfortunately for me, Pedro's didn't meet my standard.

Alexandre Cardoso

Very Good meals and the service is Good.

Bob Penland

Great food and service

Thomas Morgan

Well the food was good but the service was slow. Maybe it was just bad timing. They were friendly though. I would give them another shot.

Erica Peoples

Food was pretty good, the service was alright. The atmosphere was beachy and fresh but the music choice threw me off.

Brandon Quinn

Take this with a grain of salt because I only went on Taco Tuesday. The tacos were painfully average but cheap.

Mark Vincent

Great food for not much money. What you'd expect from a local taco shop! Fast, friendly and make you full! All you can eat chips to boot!

Jak Davidson

Good food, but the staff is a little lazy, not rude though

Patrick Kirkman

Good fish tocos

Andrew Dancy

Still sucks one year later....

Vike butler

Fast, delicious, inexpensive, great value for the money

Israel R. Torres

Very clean environment .. customer service was great food .

Sarah Crayton

They were out of guacamole which I went specifically for. The sweet tea was sour and when I asked for fresh tea the server said he made it this morning....tea doesn't sour that fast...taco meat was very dry. The rice also tasted reheated.

Lee Powell

Good food. Took a little bit of time to take order but food was fast

InsaneBrainShane

Great Atmosphere and very friendly service!

greg capps

Always good and fresh, attentive wait staff... Always a good experience at Pedro's.

Kyle Goodman

Great tacos, great price.

Ravan Rinehart

They should qualify themselves as authentic Mexican. My grandmother is from Mexico and half Mexican and I haven't had food like this since we were both younger. It is really nice to go somewhere that brings the nostalgia of my childhood back. Their homemade tortillas are incredible. My fiance claimed he didn't like Mexican food and this place proved him wrong.

Alan Stinar

Oh my God, best tacos in the city!

Kara Kubala

It's been about 6 months since we last visited Pedro's. But we went in tonight and received the best service we have ever had there. The food was amazing and not once we're we left without a beverage. I believe it's time to restore our weekly visits again!

Mason Ringeisen

Great spot for lunch, dinner and drinks. The manager Julio makes sure everyone is well taken care of.

Carl Finley

Favorite taco place in town.

Brandy Owen

Lunch Chimichanga was awesome and only $5.50 on Mondays. Service was quick and with a smile. My go to lunch/dinner place whenever I am in Greensboro.

Milen Dragnev

NO SANITATION SCORE VISIBLE ANYWHERE IN THE BUILDING!!!!! First off, i just want to mention that i have NEVER written a review about a restaurant. Good or bad. I literally had to do this because it was that bad. Have you ever seen an episode of Kitchen Nightmares with chef Ramsey? If so, this is a place to experience that. Went there on a Tuesday for the taco special. Everything was fine, service a bit slow but they were busy, which is completely understandable. If you want to deal with a completely egotistic owner this is your place. I ordered tacos with no onions. After a while, my order comes in with onions. I brought this up to a staff member who turned out to be the owner. After bringing up that my order came out wrong he quickly went to question me. He asked if i told my server i did not want onions on my taco. Something i have never been asked at any other respectable restaurant. If i don't like onions on my taco, why would i not tell that to my server when placing my order. He seemed stressed and at a loss so i shrugged it off and told him that of course i told my server. I am hungry, I'm not here to play games. Really though, i have never been to place where they questioned if i entered the order correctly. I wasn't trying to get money back or pull something off on him, i just didn't want onions. Anyway, he tells me it will be 15 mins. 15 MINS for 2 tacos with cilantro, radish, and avocado? Whatever. Any respectful owner of a restaurant would never question his customers, they are the ones that pay for the bread on your table. The thing that really set this off is when another member of our group ordered another beer. The beer came as a 22oz and literally smelled like a dirty towel. The person literally took one sip of the mug. Its not like they drank the whole beer and then went and complaint. When we addressed this to him, he started getting defensive and denying that anything was wrong with it. It was clear that his keg lines were dirty, giving the beer a mold taste, yet he vigorously denied everything, without even checking lol. The ego on this guy was beyond astounding. Besides the owner, the rest of the staff are very nice people. Food is mediocre at best. My self and my friends will NEVER return to this place. Literally all this guy had to do was not argue with us, yet he took another route. I can't imagine how he treats his workers. Another thing, he has his 12-13 year old son working in there. Not sure if that's a violation but it probably is. Have seen other underage kids taking orders and bringing food and drinks. If you want to experience genuine mexican food with no issues i suggest El Camino Real. This place is a joke ran by a psychopath.

Emily Olsen

The tacos are excellent. Service is great.

Sarah Whelan

Delicious! If you are looking for some delicious Mexican, and ambiance isn't a huge factor, this is the place for you. We had veggie and fish taco plates. They were well cooked, had the right amount of cabbage for texture, and the accompanying sauce was tasty without being spicy. We wanted more spice and got it with the habenero salsa! The service was great but we were there late. The staff explained that they are sometimes a little understaffed and so service can be slower. The ambiance issue is that it is part of a college-style bar. The tables were clean and noise wasn't an issue when we were there but I could see that it could be. Of course the benefit of the bar is that they had great drink specials. Pedro's is definitely worth a visit

LaShaunda Vinson

The waitress was unbothered(mostly on her phone not really showing interest to be at work)the food was good until I got home and spent the rest of the day sick (it was my first meal of the day) I gave my leftovers to my dad before I got sick and he ended up sick as well. I cant recommend a place that made me that sick after eating there. Disappointed.

Stephanie Renn

The service can be slow, but they have some of the best tacos in town! I highly recommend the guacamole fresco if you have a larger party because it's huge! The grilled chicken and fish tacos are my go-to, and they even have interesting ones like lengua and tripa.

Shanieya Flowers

My friend and I are weekly regulars for taco Tuesday but last Tuesday was far different from any other visits. We were forced to sit at the bar while tables were available, we later realized African Americans were being seated at the bar while Caucasians were seated in the booths and tables. We continued to order our $1 tacos but received authentic tacos topped with a lot of onions and cilantro. We explained our situation to the manger and asked for the usual Tuesday tacos. We were treated with disrespect and had no support from our waitress. My friend was forced to pay for a taco she took one bite of and spit out! As a UNCG student I do not recommend this place! No worries we will take our African American dollars and tips elsewhere!

Rhiannon Coltrane

Decent food, average service. I usually go here with a friend for $1 taco Tuesday.

Rachel P

If I could give negative stars I would , I have never had a shredded chicken burrito be so salty I couldn't eat it , I Call for something to be done and the girl said the manager will not be back for two hrs ? And they can't do anything about it what kinda place is this ??.

Carla M

Delicious food and awesome service

Barbara Potkay

Great food and decent prices.

Bryson Cooper

Great food, great service, great experience. Angela was great. We will coming back for the 99 cent tacos on Taco Tuesday. Ps. Try. The. Chorizo.

Found this place by accident and I am SO GLAD we did. Excellent ACP and wonderful, relaxed atmosphere. Sit out side overlooking Tate St. if you can.

Richard Cheek

Delicious and great service. Authentic Mexican style tacos are one of my favorites here.

Amanda Dove

Good food. Everyone there is always nice.

Charles Landreth

Dollar tacos on Tuesday basic taco shop they do serve alcohol

Ashley M

San Diego native here, and this is the only place in the Triad that comes close to offering the authentic taste of California and Carne asada burritos from back home. I get the San Diego burrito and add sour cream & guacamole. It holds me over until the next visit home! Their salsa also tastes similar to the stuff back home in San Diego, Ca!

Israel Boyd

Purposely served us slowly. Didn’t serve us what we wanted in a timely manner.

Ruvarashe Mukelabai

Experienced disrespect and racism. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

Ben Langolf

They have the best guacamole I have ever had!

Brandon Angelilli

Outstanding guacamole, good drink specials, and plenty of budget-friendly nights for college kids. Pretty solid overall.

kelly robinson

Enjoyed every minute, delicious food, friendly staff.

Ben Yates

The special that day was a cheese steak burrito. It was gross and had way to much cheese with very little steak. May try going back on a tuesday for the 99 cent tacos. The amount of meat in 1 taco was more than my entire burrito they should have just called mine a cheese burrito. If you like cheese you will probably like this place. The waiter was nice.

Gay Cox

Cool little spot on Tate Street

Kenny Powers

Food is above average and priced well. Service is usually friendly and welcoming but can be slow at times.

Elizabeth Lemaster

Great place. New people just took over. Very friendly, efficient, pleasent, bi-lingual. Big servings/Fair prices. Lower/Upper deck parking. Multiple T.V's. Dine In/ Take Out.

Jeremy Rohrs

Great, authentic food! Tacos are the best in town. $2.99 pints. The live music was awesome. Service was phenomenal.

Naomi Duarte

Service is great, ambience is nice, I didn't like the flour tortillas because they weren't authentic, and it is clean.

Tonya Bunch

Friendly staff. Great food. Fast service.

Jodelle S

Honestly one of my favorite places to go for an affordable meal with friends and family. Staff is super friendly and food has always been delicious so far!

Mark Dean

Food is delicious and the people are great!

spksean .

Great menu. Delicious food. The fish tacos are a must. Their habanero sauce is off the charts.

Kristina Morales

Amazing food and customer service! The food is delicious and the most affordable place I've found to eat near campus. I go there weekly because I'm addicted now!

Dow Hurst

Excellent, real Spanish food!

adeia morris

I wouldn’t recommend eating here if you like authentic tacos! The chicken taco from .99 taco Tuesday was gross, asked our server could we switch out for a ground beef instead and she said no. Poor customer service! Wouldn’t recommend eating here at all.

Destiny Black

$1 tacos are a mood and the drink specials are amazing

Steven Jones

AWESOME food and drinks!!! Great service also.

Glasco Taylor

Authentic. Real Mexican food!

Norberto Ortiz

Don't miss this one. It's the real deal. Julio and Angela have their act together. Tacos were Great. Rice with black beans was awesome.

chris sullivan

Very good experience! Fresco guacamole for only $6 was enough to feed a family of six! Portion sizes are very large for the price! Good quality was very tasty!

amanda johnson

The food was delicious

Lauren Westlund

Frozen margaritas were not great. The manager talked down to my friend like she was dumb when she told him she did not like it (she only sipped it, she didn’t drink much of it) he will gave a refund but was very rude about it. tacos were good, food came out fast but after that I had to ask other waitresses to for refills or more salsa. Never saw our waitress again and didn’t get checked up on again. They also ran out of sour cream and still tried to charge us for the side of sour cream that we never got. took 15 minutes after them taking our plates to get the checks and then we ended up just going to the cash register because no one came back for our payment.

AJ Chambers

Found another spot to add to my favorites list!! I've been to Pedro's a few times and I have no complaints. The manager is very kind, caring, and he likes to make sure the customers are very happy. Tacos are great (my fave is the Hawaiian), guacamole fresco is fresh, and the carne asada fries are great as well.

Key Patterson

Best tacos..hands down! Good fresh food! The grilled vegetables are amazing! So happy with my visit!

Melonie Penn

Pedro's is amazing food at super reasonable prices. Everything we've tried had been incredibly fresh and delicious. While there's been an occasional wait once seated, it's always been apparent that the team working were hustling. We left one night because of the wait, but the lady at the door warned us that they had a couple of big parties. Some places would've just let us stand there!

Caleb Wade

Some of the best tacos in Greensboro hands down!

Lacey Pittman

Love it. Best salsa! Taco Tue .99 tacos

curious miki

Yummy tacos! Friendly staff. It wasn't busy when I was there. I hope they do well!

stephen parker

Pretty good...friendly service

John Williams

Great staff good food and they have a balcony that overlooks the city!

Wink Jus-Wink

Always a great time!

Raven Lyles

Good food and tasty frozen margaritas

Rebecca Wunch

Amazing carne asada, chicken, & bbq pork tacos! Also love the queso fundito dip! Only bad thing I can think of is when dining in-seems understaffed as service can be slow + unattentive.

Jodi Broadaway

Very good food tastes fresh & will come back! Recommended spot in downtown gso

Katie Helm

The food is great and inexpensive, but the service isn't the best.

Tampa Blue

My first time there. I'd go back!

Aziza Olimkhodjaeva

The food is always great, I love their tacos. Service is good, you feel welcomed and staff genuinely cares about you.

hoze kardynaz

Excelente the best Mexican food in town

Eve, eve, little evil !

Loud, loud- waited too long for a takeout order..

Alan Harris

Friendly, humorous staff and good drink specials

TrésorS YYY

Was excellent for my first experience there. Waitress was very nice, my spanish was not great but we got along well cuz she helped. Food was good, lot of parking. Nice place like to wash sports.

Amber Marie

Best taco place in Greensboro that compares to Texas street tacos

Dianna Kidd

The first time I ate here I ordered Togo for lunch and it was great, it wasn't so great when I took my family for dinner though. I'm not sure what happened there but I'd definitely recommend a lunch visit!

Fat Stephen

Good food & great crew. Bonus for dollar tacos on Tuesday & 2$ margaritas on Thursday.

Stephanie Holder

Honestly nothing here was outright bad, and I'll even say my food was good. My date's order was wrong, took forever to bring check out and server just seemed like he was either extremely socially awkward or having a very off day. I understand but it wasn't the best experience to add to an already so-so night.

Brad Temple

Great Mexican food and atmosphere. Loved it!

Jessica W. Smith

A little different than your typical Mexican restaurant in town. Good food and variety of vegetarian options. The veggie tacos have a spicy peanut sauce on them, which is very good and unique. Nice patio area. Great, attentive and friendly staff

Rynisha Dean

Carne asada tacos and the guacamole fresca is sooo good!

Travis Chase

Food was decent, but service sucked took forever to get drinks had to ask two separate people for salsa and napkins. Then when we order our food it was out within 5 minutes. Which really isn't a bad thing, but it's nice to socialize over a few drinks before having a plate of food in your face.

Rishi Khanna

Great food at a good price

Mandy Zachary

Long wait for food &waiter never came back to refill our drinks. Super cute spot just need to step up the service.

Angee Bobbitt

Delicious and the staff is very courteous and friendly. I'm gonna be a regular.
