As you know, we do not usually bother to give evaluations when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Fish Shop belongs to the category of Home goods store.
I love shopping here....always with the hope they ibe of their very cool. kitchy items will be affordable. if you are looking for an unusual gift ..this might be your place . be sure to check out the old crockery (over runs?) in the back.
What a fun experience.
Cool store!
Such a cool store. I had seen a story about the owner’s beginnings here in Nyc and knew I had to go check it out . Everyone was very friendly that worked there and the ambiance has a unique groovy chic barn feel . Fun gifts for all ages .
I can ALWAYS find a gift for someone here- especially for me
If you are obsessed with kitchen supplies, silverware, cups, mugs, and all the little cute things in the kitchen, go here. You will definitely spend some time here.
Great merch but honestly the staff makes for a great shopping experience .
Fun store posing as kitchenware but so much eclectic and fun nooyorkiana and other related items.
Awesome new york store! Fun, unique gifts and things for the home. The only thing to complain about is that the assortment was dated.. same goods there this November as last October for the most part.
One of the best places to buy kitchen stuff. Slightly pricey but think of it as a premium to get something which is quirky and uncommon. Worth a visit, even if you are thinking of buying a gift for someone.
Great shop with lots of unique and very fun things to buy. It's also a great place to pick up very cool New York gifts. Customer service is also always top notch!
Great products with local references that make ideal, if heavy, souvenirs
Great place! Used, retro dinnerware from some very cool places... country clubs, old restaurants etc. Almost all my dinnerware is from here!
Great retro stuff here displayed in a unique emporium.
Really fun store with lots of different, fun gifts to choose from for everyday life or to buy for yourself. A must visit if you are in the area and want to browse or buy.
Fun! Check it out.
A wide selection of glassware, flatware, and all kinds of serving vessels, platters and plates. I also like the paintings and kitschy random things. I recommend buying a dining set here to do a surprise pop-up restaurant for your significant other/family or for an unexpected and inspired dinner party!
A must visit for modern housewares.
Awesome place for quirky and New York City themes kitchenware and more!
Cute and weird kitchen and home goods. This is the place to go if you want to buy a vintage style cake stand or pop culture inspired shot glasses.
Always fun strolling through, keeping a bowl in mind, then coming back for it. Leaves an impression.
Prices way to high for second hand
This place is good for buying souvenir!!! The price is totally reasonable and a lot a lot of kitchenware things to choose. We bought a NY tea towel and Brooklyn glass as a souvenirs. Have to visit once when u visit NY. U might find a good gift!!! The shop is always crowded. Just take your time to look at everything. Because it is so much to look at.
They mainly have dishes. There are different styles and you're not stuck buying a certain set; you can pick and choose. There's also drinking glasses, flatware, dish towels, and other random items. Fairly large store and fun to browse
How can you not love a place that does most of its work in house? The selection is excellent and the prices are fair. Plus it's a NYC institution !
I've been a long-time fan. Great selection of housewares. Now they have their own line.
Decent prices for Manhattan. Good quality. They usually have great specials, which is when I would recommend stocking up.
Love this cute little store with some unique stylish and classy kitchenware and other home decor items. This is also a great place to buy gifts for house warming. I love coming here and buying random stuff for the kitchen. Few items can be a little too pricey but their sale sections always have some really good stuff. Be sure to check this place out if you're in the neighborhood.
Super cool shop, so much cute stuff
Great staff. Stuff I don't need but will buy. Took pix of me and posted on spot. Price so inexpensive and reasonable. Thanks!
Lots things I want but no room for. Always great place to paruse
The best ceramics/porcelain/china shop you'll find. I saw this place as I was walking past and was instantly drawn into it. I fell in love and have dreamt of it often since. I wish I was wealthy and could own entire collections of their stuff. I wish my entire kitchen could be plates and bowls from this place. Seriously charming, and the staff are a dream.
I go for some hard to find cook, dinner and silver ware, but also has a nice modestly priced selection of NYC themed service items like plates, bowls, barware. If you're really into your pets, they have a cute selection for the cat and dog lover as well. They were also doing pet portraits.
That's how to set out your market stall. You could spend hours looking around. Fascinating merchandise I couldnt stop smiling at all the witty things. I bought so many gifts and still had plenty of thing I could have bought. Thank you for not rushing anyone . Truly one of the most unique modern old fashioned new shops in New York
Yasssssssssss. Love my founding fathers whiskey glasses
I love their style, humor and quality. Always making fun references to the past and present in there range. I hope this store never moves or stops creeping me out with the hand lasts as I walk through the door!
What a ridiculously cute store with awesome things you can’t find anywhere else.
Fishs Eddy has SO much wonderful merchandise! I ordered Todd Oldham and Charley Harper glassware online, and everything arrived up here in the hills of Colorado in perfect condition and wonderfully packaged. The glassware is beautiful, and their service and timeliness is impeccable. I will be ordering from them again...and again ... great products and great experience. :)
Under no circumstances should you walk into Fishs Eddy if you 1. Have too many plates 2. Dislike wry comedy on tableware 3. Recently had a strain of the flu that rendered your comedy part of your brain ineffective 4. Dislike spontaneously spending money 5. Think that commentary on Donald trump belongs on cable news, not on butter dishes 6. Already own one of everything 7. Have to buy a gift for someone who already owns one of everything. 8. Own a bull and don't want to tie it to the fire hydrant outside whilst you browse. Under all other circumstances, visiting fishs eddy is imperative. Bring cash.
Absolutely love this place. Highly highly recommended for a visit
A delightful store with all types of unusual china and glassware plus a variety of serving pieces. Feels like an old world market. A fun place to walk through. Look in the hidden corners for really good deals.
Great service but low quality product with a big price tag. You might be better off trying Target for cooler designs with a lower price.
Awesome gift shop, unique items and they make you smile! A must stop when in the area
Great deals and odd finds.
Their warm design makes you happy!
Unique store with old dishes from diners and other places of time gone by. Other dishes with more modern themes and recent personalities are available. Additional artsy and crafty type items are also displayed and sold.
Tourist trap. Used to have interesting useful items now just NYC junk
I am all about Fish's Eddy. They make great options for affordable dinnerware for your home, but they are also one of the best places in the city to find a unique gift for someone who doesn't live here. They do NYC nostalgia, kitsch, snark, and basic adorable equally well.
Absolutely love this clever shop! Not just kitchen items- their styles are eclectic with some classics, pottery, vintage patterns, punny yet useful and fun gift ideas... Make it a quick stop or stay and explore! Prices fit any budget and there is a solid clearance section as well.
Best place to buy housewarming gifts for any person who loves cooking, baking and have good humor. They have bunch of funny, cute stuff for the kitchen and home. I would be beyond happy to receive a gift card from this store for any occasion. Not the cheapest store tho...
So fun. Great items and a nice eclectic mix of home goods and gifts. Be sure to stop by the discount area. Fabulous!
I'm a lover of knick knacks, like many of us poor consumers of useless goods. And Fish Eddy is one of those stores that you go in to and find things you didn't even know that you needed. I saw the most cutest little wooden spoon but I had to come to my senses and pass on it. However, I've purchased many items for my kitchen here and I love that the items are forever changing.
You can get everything you need here for a beautiful table with a sprinkle of wit and whimsy.
Such cute, funny, and unique gifts for the home! Also pretty affordable.
Great place for some great deals be sure to check out the bargains in the back
Fishs Eddy carries very cool dinnerware, glassware and flatware that are adorned with New York centric designs.
Love this place! Really cute and unique kitchen and home items
Disappointed by this store , went there because of some good reviews . Didnt find what I need. Expensive.
I'm from Brazil and always when I go to NYC I visited Fishs Eddy. It's my favorite store in NYC. I love the staff and the setting. The fun and historical chinas and wares are amazing.
You get everything for the kitchen. The best thing is that you get old school stuff. The atmosphere is nice and sometimes you buy more thing that you need it ;-)
Comfortable Room I think 3 stars says it all
Fun place to spend hours shopping for everyone you know! They have many creative and fun items that would make you leave with a handful of bags. The non sale items can be a bit pricey.
Functional home goods, cheecky designs or the plain and simple basics!
About 10 years ago, I was an unpaid entertainment intern living in Union Square and I would dream about the day when I could shop at Fishs Eddy. That day arrived recently and my shopping experience was just as wonderful as I hoped it would be. All of their products are whimsical, unique and actually affordably priced. I purchased the cutest cheese platter (~$18) that looks like a lined sheet of school paper. It's ceramic and can be written on with Sharpie, then easily washed away. They carefully packaged it up and it returned with me in one piece to Los Angeles. Can't wait to come back to Fishs Eddy next time I'm in New York. A must-visit, especially if you're in Union Square!
My favorite place to get fun housewares.
Closing early due to rain... One hour early? Unacceptable. It was raining at 7, but not at 8...
Really a one of a kind store with unique items for a gift or home. From funny stuff to antique items, it's a place to certainly visit, staff is very friendly and helpful.
A great stop to check out fun NYC theme souvenirs or overall unique pieces for your household.
Super cool store. I like all the vintage plates that you can buy, in addition to the clever stuff (Ruth Bader Ginsburg mug anyone?)
An awesome place to browse and pick up the unique oddity for the kitchen, or maybe a full service! They have wonderful things!
Fun dishes and other tableware. Looking for vintage? Mix and match cheap? Or fun and quirky? It's all here
Great dishes and kitchenware at fairly good prices.
I love Fishs. If you're a visitor you shouldnt leave the city without giving this store a visit. A peice of NYC I hope never goes!
Just have and always will in love with this place ! Be prepared to buy something even if you didn't plan on it
An awesome little store with quirky and fun dishes, housewares, and other amusing miscellany. Whether you're a resident or tourist, you're bound to find something uniquely New York in here to take home!
Lovely store, eclectic collection of items, definitely worth a visit.
Love this place! They have the most unique dishes and crockery I've ever seen! The only 'problem' is my bags are always really heavy when I leave!
This store has nice items and decor it’s a place with many things to offer in the previously mentioned things it has so much in such a wide space
Love the variety of this store! Good for both classic and seasonal styles. Staff is helpful but you have to seek them out if you need help. I wish they had more variety in their sale section.
Always shop there for dishes, cups. Some are made on the premises, none are made over seas. Huge selection.
Xoxo products such ad Housewares
Good selection of dinnerware. Fun and classic styles. Make sure to check out the sale room. Too bad the poor customer service almost ruins the experience.
Still has an indy feel to it despite its location and age. Lots of lovely designs and unusual finds. Loved the Trump espresso cup and the weird glove molds.
Never been, but if you're cool enough to have the wonderful Amy Sedaris and Todd Oldham in your store "wrapping gifts", you're worth ten stars!
Fun place if you like flatware and ironic inscriptions
Love Fishes Eddy! The store is so cute and I always find fun stuff. For Xmas this year I ordered online though *free shipping* and the items arrived fast and in nice packaging. Yay!
Love this place! Houseware with a good attitude!
Always a fun and creative store. Still manages to get away with highly priced items which tourists pay for.
Such a cute place! Things are well-prices and the staff is super friendly :)
What a wonderful place! If you're looking to stock your first apartment...this is the place you get all of your glasses, dishes, cutlery and more...P.S.They have the Best steak knives..and so affordable❤❤
Brilliant!! If you’re a tourist then check it out - loads of fun take home gifts for the family and fantastic prices.
Place is just the coolest. Crazy collection of parody items amongst other household odds and ends. Quirky, colorful and fun!
One of my favorite stores to visit when in nyc
Great place to get novelty items as well as dishes and Mason jars
Love the Charlie Harper glassware, there is usually a new edition to add to my collection. Great coloured pressed glass as well. Everything you could need as tableware at affordable prices. Fab location too. Love the note by the Trump cups lol!
I love to wander and browse in this store. It has some great finds. If you some cutlery or plates, Mugs... This is the place to go..
Nice location for cool kitchen items.
Affordable kitchenwares
Favorite spot for fun finds, satire, cookbooks and just fun.
Different! Good!
Looking to spice up your kitchen? Fishs Eddy has my favorite selection of dinnerware with a twist. Their designs range from traditional to humorous, quirky and fun. They are reasonably priced, but always have amazing deals going on in the back room where I got my daily dishes for $1 each! Great place for housewarming gifts if your cabinets are already full. I absolutely love stepping into Fishs Eddy when I'm around Union Square.
I love Fish’s Eddy. I have so much glassware from this place it should qualify as stock. I miss the old Pantone stuff they used to carry; I hope it makes a comeback (because I dropped a tea saucer).
Interesting shop. Nice for souvenir shopping or something to keep for memories of NYC
Always fun to look & buy specialty gifts. Today was excellent - 25% sale off everything in the store!
Always something new. Classic old New York items
Always loved this store when I lived in NYC. Now that I must order online, I can confirm that their customer service is AMAZING. Thank you for the quick responses, thank you for honoring a sale that I didn't quite qualify for, thank you for the quick shipping, and thanks for having awesome merch. Lifelong customer over here :)
Amazing collection. Very helpful and efficient staff
I liked how a lot of their products were centered around the city, and the buildings and architecture of the city as well. I thought the prices of everything were generally pretty reasonable. The only thing I would have liked to see more of was Thanksgiving/ holiday decorations. Overall, though, a fun place to find home goods.
Always a favorite place to stop when I'm near Union Square. Even if I don't buy anything, I always leave feeling entertained.
Love this place and the electric selection.. you can find many nice things for tourists and even for locals.. the recent book on the founder is inspirational and her son is an artist who draws those lovely animal painting!
OMG THERE'S TOO MUCH COOL STUFF! I have to resist spending hundreds of dollars every time I come here. Staff is so fun and witty and helpful. New treasures every time I visit.
So much ceramic that I forgot what I was looking for and left with nothing.
Love all their kitchenware
Great store. Find lots of Nick Nack items. Very unique
Staff was friendly and helpful. They gave me good advice on some dishes and showed me the sale items. Love that they are proud liberals!
Every time I go to this store I feel like buying everything I see! It seems like all the items they have would make my apt way warmer and richer. I agree that some item could be overpriced... but they simply fit my style!
Love this shop! Great for gifts for others & myself!!
Yes! Finally a store that carries only locally-made products that are cool, quirky and fun! Great selection of local, handmade and/or vintage products. Giftware, home decor & art. You can even get a funky portrait made of your pet! Highly recommended.
What an amazing place to shop for kitchenwares. You'll find closeout dishes from restaurants to hard to find items. I guarantee you'll spend hours here because it's like Disneyland without the rides.
What a fun store! New and used kitchenware with a vintage feel. Buy for yourself or lots of options for NY theme gifts.
Love love love this store. Great kitchen supplies and dishes and even more fabulous employees who are friendly knowledgeable and beyond helpful
This us a very large store for mildly odd doo dads, which I'm tickled by.
My favorite place for interesting kitchenware that’s also politically and socially relevant. Always a great window display too.
They were a lot better when they first opened. Too much made to sell stuff, lost the "found" dishware vibe.
Fish Eddy's is a quirky, fun home / kitchen good store. Lots of puns and unique items.
Lots of cool items here. Staff very friendly. Could spend hour just looking at all the eclectic dishware, books, puzzles, glassware, barware, etc.
Love this place! Always fun to hunt for the most eclectic in dinnerware and porcelain oddities.
Lovely store with funny and gorgeous products!
Quirky and kitschy shop for housewares and home decor. An NYC must see!
I wish I had all the money in the world so I could buy everything in this store I went in due to their collaboration with the artist Wayne White. And was immediately filled with happiness when I entered and saw their entire collection. Southern rustic charm
Love this place and their products. Very kitchicy but also seriously awesome. We have all our mugs and glasses from here!
Great place to browse but way overpriced.
This is a cute neighborhood shop, worth a visit even if you're just looking to browse. There are lots of good and unique gift options here, esp. perfect if you're if going to a home warming. If you're crafty it don't care about matching dish sets, they often have a lot of vintage singles available at good prices.
Great little store with unique and very ornate goods. Many of the items in this store are very humorous and creatively designed. It’s an interesting place for sure!
We always visit Fishs Eddy when in NYC. Unique items. Gifts for quirky friends. Cool stuff too! #fishseddy
Very cool place with a mix of very affordable household items, like simple coffee mugs, contrasted with overpriced similar items. I go there often to check things out and get replacement items
This is a very unique store. I loved it!!! Cool plates, glassware and textiles. Nice atmosphere!!!
Found exactly what I was looking for
This place is nothing necessarily you need except what you want it to be - incredibly endearing, cheeky, and one of a kind. This place has local artists create incredibly cute, funny, and beautiful dishware and other like items. Best part or all is you can shop here knowing you're buying something you can only find here in New York while supporting local small business. Bonus tip 1- they have great sales from time to time! Bonus tip 2- they have a local artist, Ben Lenovitz, who does amazing pet portraits on the spot! Check him out in IG @BenLenovitz
New York's unique home to unusual dishware, quality seconds from the Syracuse China factory, and an eclectic mix of gift items at great prices.
Cute store. You can buy nice and useful with sense of humor items in this store.
Quirky store with lots of home goods (mostly kitchen). It's definitely worth the trip to visit while in NY. Quirky kitchen goods.
Fun. Stuff! Great staff!!! Went in while on a date. The date didn't get a second..but Fish's Eddy made me a regular! Even posted me on their page while I was shopping. Thanks!!!
I found out about this place when i was searching for a place to buy good american/ny themed gifts to take to Europe on google. I loved the store and their products but everything seemed a little pricey to me. Still, I would recommend this place; it’s nice to browse the shop even if you’re not gonna buy anything!
Quirky old fashioned cutlery that anyone would feel at home with...
Love this store! And I've loved it since it was a small place in the Village. They used to have a lot more vintage restaurant ware, but they still have enough to make it fun. Of the new stuff -- very high quality, interesting designs and pieces. Really reasonable prices for the quality. Plus . . . the store is just flat-out fun. As far as I'm concerned, look no further for everyday dishes. They're NY, Brooklyn, and beach amusement park themed ware are really clever - GREAT NYC souvenirs. Fun even for us locals. Glassware excellent and great designs from traditional to more contemporary. They do shipping for nominal charge, and everything is perfectly and safely packed Staff is a joy - very helpful, always friendly Recently it seems they carry more vintage restaurant china and logo china. There are also other antique artifacts that are always changing. You never know what they're going to have.
Last week my Bestfriend who is like my sister took me in this store and I wanted to buy everything. The store is so nice and they display merchandise so nicely. Very helpful staff and ther customer service is a plus. Will be shopping in this store very soon again. Happy customer
Wandered in here while getting lost in the city. This is a store with unexpected products ranging from the odd to the cool such as the tiny roller and the giant ice tray. I also found out that they do portraits of your pets which of course is amazing. I'd advise dropping into this store every once in a while to see holiday exclusive items because I definitely will!
More fun than a bag of kittens.
Not very interesting store. Cute things you'd find in a tourist shop but more expensive
I just love EVERYTHING in NEW YORK LOVE = EVERYTHING IN NEW YORK.
Because we were from outer state(not from outer USA!!), I asked the female staff if items can be shipped out after checkout, then she replied to me “No, we can only ship inside USA only”... What? Probably she thought every “colored” people are from outside USA. Do you still want to use dishes sold in such a store through such a racism-based mind (whatever it is unconsciously or willingly)staff?? I personally don’t think so. So sad because I had been so much fan of their goods..... and where is this country heading for?
Great place filled to the brim with cute, fun, and unique housewares
Fun diner style dishes. Lot's of $18 tourist mugs. Nothing is cheap here.
This place is fun and has unique HomeGoods.
They have good home goods, and also reasonable prices.
Couldn’t love this store more. As a local I still go here frequently for things. Have many of their patterns for everyday dishes. Also always bring friends who visit the city here. The quality is quite good and the designs are even better. There is one particular item that is an essential. The “rest in grease” spoon dish for the stove. It’s also a great spot to get someone a NYC gift that they will probably use for the rest of their lives.
I LOVE FISHS EDDY
