REVIEWS OF Farmer & The Fish IN New York

Paul Siebold

Excellent cuisine and service. This could be my go-to spot for special occasions or any occasion.

Max Mallows

The food was surprisingly good but the place lavacked a bit of atmosphere. Would I go back? Yes if I was in the area but it's not worth making a trip to

Don Whittemore

Fairly decent food but a tad overpriced

mp mp

Although, the food was good, the service was awful. For example, someone requested salt and the waiter handed the person the salt that was used in the kitchen, instead of table salt in a salt shaker. In addition, sodas were served in shorter glasses, because the taller glasses were not washed. Lastly, someone was turned away, when the party of three other persons were sitting in the back waiting.

Emily Pulver

Our best meal in NYC was here. Great service. Excellent food!

rpoonai

I've been here a few times and it rarely disappoints. The food is great, the staff friendly and the atmosphere fun.

Phillip Gill

This was a in a great locations and had a cool vibe. We sat next to the large windows that opened to the street, which was really nice. The lobster rolls were pretty good, as was the kale salad. The one thing that seems to make this place stand out is their happy hour where you can get good prices on drinks as well as $1 oysters, which is a great deal. I would suggest eating here if in the general area.

Alan Schneider

A retro diner style olace. Decent selection and not overpriced.

John Mak

Expensive and only so so food

Mario Longhi

Mediocre food. The cole slaw was slightly off. They charge 3.50 for each time you get fountain soda which kind of upsetting. It is overpriced for what it offers. Not as upscale as you’d expect.

Kasia Bogdanowicz

Excellent bloody mary and service. On a pricy side

Christopher Williams

Fresh and tasty food

C Rose

Food was okay, all you can eat mussels were more like, you're lucky we gave you that. Server was a little slow, but helpful when at table.

Chris Demetriades

Great food. The staff was accommodating and friendly.

Angelika Rauh

We went for a birthday and the waitress was clearly annoyed with people taking a few minutes to arrive - an attitude she never dropped throughout the evening, despite our friendly demeanour, hoping she would come around. We were not welcome, their fish was burnt, the lamb special nothing special but the Apple crisp a big portion of dessert that I did enjoy. Overall, it was okay but nothing special and for that overpriced so we'll try elsewhere next.

Devon Davis

Very good Oysters and service.

Mohamed Salem

food was very very delicious but also very very expensive

Sebastián Guzmán

Good food, but I was disappointed that they didn't say that some things were spicy, which made them inedible to some people in the group, including my wife and daughter. The waiter knew we were ordering one of those for a kid and said nothing, not is that in the menu. Service was also very slow. We waited a lot for some okay toasted bread. I don't think I'll go there again.

Wade Guenther

Amazing seafood! The kitchen was kind of slow so they comped us an app. The server was super friendly and apologetic to the situation. We know things happen. The people here made the situation right. Food quality was top notch.

Charlene Monaco

Went here for NYC restaurant week. Great food and great service.

Sergey Vikhlyantsev

Clam chowder is very nonstandard, watery with giant lengths of leek and very sour. Not objectively bad,i guess, but not my cup of tea. Fish and chips tear down: Fish - had a 'was frozen' texture and flaked apart easily, and with the weak batter that meant each 'fish' fell to bits. 'Chips' - more like quartered potato sections. Not crispy on the outside and basically a baked potato on the inside. Fine as a concept but let's not pretend that's a 'chip'. Slaw: hope you like cabbage with only the mildest whiff of other flavors. Left it basically untouched... Oysters were fine, except the 'Skookum' were big beefy boys and tasted awful. There was also a mixup in which were which between us and the waitress leading to some wasted (unwanted) Skookum's in the second round of oysters. Famers Fizz drink was fantastic and I would come back to the bar for just that (one of those three stars is riding squarly on the back of this great drink) Someone else at my table got the dish with soba noodles and apperently that was good. Wait staff was super nice and accommodating and the place was comfortable so no complaints there. Not the worst place I've been, but maybe don't get anything but the soba and farmers fizz....

shannon snead

Slow service and bland food.

Hector Rosado

Fantastic Lobster Roll! Clam chowder perfect!

Dan MacAndrew

Food and drinks were good, service not so good

Karen Chow

This is my favourite place to go to wind down after work...great for happy hour oysters and wine/beer at the bar. Charlie the bartender always makes me feel welcome. The lobster night is an amazing deal for $29 and my bf and I were stuffed after eating whole lobsters with corn on the cob, oysters, and clams. Everything is super fresh. Wear your bib ☺️

J B

Very nice quaint place in the Lower Park Ave area. Different from many of the loud eateries in the area, this place offers a quiet alternative with a decent menu and wine/cocktail options. My appetizer was very salty. Yet, the server, despite talking with the manager about it and manager agreed, didn't offer to change the order or give me a replacement. Not good business etiquette.

Leejay Heller

I have to give this place a low review because not only is it needlessly expensive, but when I got my food it was very cold, so that is never a good thing. I still filled out my info card because I will still go back if they give me free food for my birthday.

Lloyd Morgan

Ample dining area and hygiene facilities. Of course, the food is good!! Highly recommended! Why not 5 stars? Because there's always room for improvement in every endeavor.

Merkle Forest

Just very very average food. Although great manager/service that you always have to appreciate.

Bradley Perez

Great food, nice theme, great service. My favorite server is hands down Karen!

David D'Haene

Good-looking staff. We assumed most of them have aspirations of being stage and screen. Food is good, not great. Very nice place. I'll try it again.

Michelle Giove

Fresh fish and good ambience.

Robert Braglia

Very good food and service.

Keith O'Donohue

Always come here when I'm in NY - Food and atmosphere is great but Charlie is a legend!

Justin Guiel

Pricey, which is normal for this menu and location, but the server was elusive even though it wasn't busy. Serving size was good, and it's a pretty environment.

Cianna Parker

Cozy and welcoming. Great food and great service.

Simukayi Mutasa

Good lobster rolls!

Jessica Elias

Branzino and bok choy were both delicious! Service was okay, the decor is lovely.

steven porrttee

good french bistro fare. Staff a little on the uppity side but overall OK place

Derek Preston

Didnt eat so cant comment on food. Was very disappointed that the brunch that was advertised on the billboard as being from 12 till 4 pm was not available at 2.50pm as it was only till 3 pm. When told that they should change the sign was told they were going to do it. Not a good first impression. Shame as it looks like a good place.

Patti Ippoliti

Great food and service!

Ying Ting Huang

Good restaurant and the food is yummy. But the information about lobster bake should show that only server at dinner time so that we won't disappointed at lunch time. Thanks.

Haunted Blouse

Came for restaurant week. Food and service was good. Atmosphere was pleasant.

SheriLynn Baldwin

Service was great. (Ask for Jess). Food as very good, but had to send the octopus appetizer back for another try, as it was over-done. Beet appetizer artistic and tasty! Big-eye Tuna flavorful; bass-risotto quite satisfying.

eLIZabeth taillie

Came here for restaurant week and had a nice meal but service needs to be improved. After we were sat it took a while for anyone to come by, even to give us water. Finally we got our order in and the food was very good. Good size portions and fresh food with great flavor. But no one ever came by to check in. Also we ran out of water and the bottle was taken away but never replaced! It was a warm summer night... keep the water flowing! Only saw our waitress once, maybe we wanted to order more drinks or something else. Also chocolate lava cake shouldn’t be dry in the inside, chocolate should flow out when cut into. Just call it chocolate cake. Probably wouldn’t recommend due to lack of service.

John Herbstritt

I met a friend for Happy Hour here with my daughter and the food was incredible! And loved the local micro brewery selection on tap. HIGHLY recommended!!

Sandy Tseng

Had a really bad experience. Food was very bland - nothing special about this spot. Good location though

sam wong

Our party of five enjoyed our dinner very much. We ordered 5 starters and 5 mains. Out of the 10 dishes, octopus, whole branzini and fried rice were outstanding. The remainder dishes were also unforgettable. A good meal must be accompanied by good service. Our serving staff was Sky who was very patient and courteous. He gave us exceptional services. We can't wait to return for another good meal.

Ashley Sherman

Wow, I'm really appalled at the experience I just had. As someone who lives in the neighborhood, I was thrilled about the prospect of having a great fish restaurant around the corner. I grabbed a seat at the bar at 5:30pm on a Sunday and promptly enjoyed a few delicious oysters, but unfortunately it all went downhill from there. I had ordered the salmon, cooked medium. When I cut into the salmon, it was completely raw on the inside. I always order my meat and tuna rare, but salmon is not something you want to be cold and raw. I sent the dish back. 10 minutes later, I received another dish that was completely black, with a pungent burning smell. The waitress immediately realized the error after the salmon was delivered, and assured me that "the salmon would be taken care of" and that the kitchen staff was "new". I'm fairly certain I have never sent a dish back twice in my life. The third time, the skin was still completely black, but after I removed it, the rest of the dish was edible. When I received the bill, I was surprised to see that the salmon was still on the bill. I mentioned this and was told that only a glass of wine was going to be taken care of. A $12 glass of wine comped? Which I wouldn't have needed a second glass of if the salmon had been right the first time? Rather than the $28 salmon dish? Money aside, the issue was really with the behavior of the staff of this being a commonplace and acceptable occurrence. The space is beautiful and at a prime location on Park Ave, it's a shame that yet another restaurant here fails to measure up with the standard of the neighborhood.

Aaron Werth

Food was ok, but service was great.

Brennan F

The food and service were beyond my expectations. I really liked the ambience of this spot. Wonderful restaurant to take the family out for dinner.

J.R. Starnes

Fresh, perfectly cooked shellfish. Not cheap, but definitely worth it!

Del Gold

Okay, last time was totally opposite of this week. Service was lacking. Manager instead of apologizing, had more of an attitude. There was 5 of us. Appetizers..cauliflower, carrots, Brussels sprouts, calamari and polenta fries. Nothing was spectacular. My lobster and clams were overcooked and no flavor. Sent it back and was told that is how they cook it. Ordered another dish that was so late, I took it to go and gave it to a homeless person. Will I go back, no, will I recommend it again no. We're my friends impressed no. Sadly I was so excited to go again, and felt like it was a different place than 4 months ago.

Israel Israel Homes

Love Love Love the décor and food presentations! Pleasant to the eyes for sure! For starters we shared Local Burrata Salad and Octopus which was perfect to start off the night. For our main courses we had Grilled Swordfish which comes with sugar snap peas and added a side of Cauliflower, and, Avery’s Fried Chicken which comes with delicious mashed potatoes and some farm slaw! The entire evening left us with a desire to return and will be recommending to all our friends!

Hadar Pedhazur

Interesting combination of flavors in a variety of dishes (at least for Sunday brunch).

Omri Asta

Expensive, some of the oysters were bad but the waiter got rid of them and took them off the check

Hungry Florida Girl

Please skip. Too many great places in NYC to spend your time and $ here. Tasteless oysters, admittedly bad service, they comped. $5 oysters (happy hour) v $18 glass of wine I drank waiting.

Robin Lipner

We went for the NY Restaurant Week Lunch menu which was advertised at $26 through NYRestaurant Week online with a menu that had a dessert course. When we were seated it took the waiter 15 minutes to take our order, and he immediately asked what dessert we wanted. On the menu, there was an $8 surcharge for dessert. Now, I don’t mind that there is an $8 charge for dessert, we chose to have it anyway. BUT the way the menu was presented online , it seemed as if the dessert course was included in the fixed price, that I didn’t like at all, it seemed dishonest. The waiter was possibly one of the worst I’ve had in a lot of years of dining out. He was distracted, forgot my partner’s beer and took 15 more minutes to finally bring it. Continually forgetting to bring us our drinks. He kept apologizing, but honestly, he was the worst. At the end of he meal, he asked if we wanted dessert!!! He’d already taken our order at the beginning !! It was NOT crowded in the restaurant. This person needs training or a different job! That said, we enjoyed the food, it was nicely presented and the flavors were really good. However, while using the restroom, I saw an aproned female kitchen staff leave the toilet and go straight into the kitchen WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS!!! That’s just gross!!! The staff here really needs training to make the dining experience better and safer!! I might roll the dice and go back, but not 100% sure I would given the poor service and hygiene of the staff, even though I enjoyed the food.

Patty Taylor

Both my husband and I have been dinning at Farmer & The Fish every year, and we decided to celebrate our 8th anniversary here. Love the wagyu beef cigar, love the grilled shrimp, love the ugly bunch... We love everything in providence. It is still our favorite restaurant in NY after all those years. Thank you Farmer & The Fish!!

Yara Sayegh

The food here is delicious !!! Especially the seafood ! They have daily great deals such as $1 oysters & all you can eat mussels etc !! Their wine is good too! Their staff is super kind & accommodating. The food is truly delicious. Love this place ! I come here at least once a week.

Joanne Donadio

Great Food, Great service

Gail Wilkins

Hot no more. Fun atmosphere but that’s it. Amateur service on a Friday night. Over cooked, bland $35 bronzino with literally 5 pieces of arugula smashed underneath. Over spiced hamachi. A so-so $120 bottle of wine. Spend $250 on a dinner that’s worth it somewhere else.

Sahil Patel

One of the most underrated spots in Gramercy. Great service; cool vibe; and while everyone talks about the blue crabs, try the branzino.

Hana Nation

Yummy never disappoints I recommend Farmer & The Fish for any occasion!! I had the an amazing Thanksgiving Dinner!

The Rantula

Took my girlfriend here, amazing seafood. Would definitely recommend getting the tuna burger.

Jackie

I would go back just for the service. Great waiter and the manager was also so nice & loved the food! They were accomodating with a couple of changes to the menu items. I will absolutely be back as there were so many things on the menu that looked yummie.

Tom Feeney

Lovely brunch at this place this morning. Excellent service with friendly faces.

Terry Ruth VanDuyn

Come for happy hour $1 oysters and sparkling wine, stay for the service and dinner specials. I've enjoyed several happy hours at Farmer & The Fish. Unfortunately, happy hour is only at the bar and high tops, so you have to get there on the early side to definitely get a table. Each time I go, the service has been incredibly friendly and made me feel at home. Worth a trip just for the blue crab on Tuesdays and polenta fries.

Ayesha Pion

Delicious food and great cocktails

Kristina Adrian

Amazing food and service.

Jeffry Carper

Very good food. Nice local place if you want to try something fresh and fun

B Cause

Everyone in my crowd enjoyed the food for what they have. But portions are too small for the expensive prices they have. We all left kind of still hungry and we had apps, a meal, and dessert... all were tasty, just not enough... Love the decor though...

George Ke

Went for the 1$ oysters. Keep in mind that it only applies to Blue Point oysters from Connecticut. They have a mild and buttery flavor, so if you’re looking for a more briny taste I would recommend the Kamamoto.

Cullen Johnson

Food was incredible. Place had an awesome homey yet upscale atmosphere.

Harry Marker

Food was good, service was not. We were looking around for our waiter several times throughout the course of the meal. Also very pricey; lobster roll and fries was $27 with about 5 fries.

Jason Seraydarian

Nice menu, good oysters on Park Ave in gramarcy.

John Ippolito

Seafood is your better bet here. A nice atmosphere all around, but service is a bit slow.

Jordan Hahn

Very good but very pricey. Probably not enough of the former to justify the latter, but still worth a special occasion visit.

Jose Tapia

Not a bad place to spend some money and time..

Sarah Elliott

Man... This place is so pretty, I wish their food matched the ambience. Staff was friendly and accommodating, it was clean, there were TV's so you watch the game at the bar area. The food just wasn't there.... Everyone at my table was meh or below.

Jeanne Ciccone

Great food, nice atmosphere!

Sophie Raven

Tuna burger was overcooked. Food was just OK. But what was really objectionable was the restaurant let a party come in with 3 dogs which they claimed to be service animals and one defecated on the floor! Totally disgusting and a health hazard! Plus one of my friends who was with me is allergic to dogs...

Michael Moses

Everytime I rode past this place home from work I said "this looks great, let's plan a night." The setup is inviting, mix of bourgeois chandeliers and a fancy looking bar. If you were staying at a nearby hotel, this would inevitably fall into your dinner plans. With that said, for the price of this menu, disappointments kept adding up from the 5 minute wait for acknowledgement from the host who was busy flirting with a server at the host stand (we had reservations), to the "do you want to sit here?" question when shown our seats, to the cavalier attitude of the server, to the, and this is the worst, mediocre food. The Farmer Burger, for example, was $20+ of bland. Add-ons are a must, but then you're topping $27 for something still pretty dang boring. I will say though that if you love your Brussel Sprouts swimming in half melted half dry parmesan, well, they have a dish for you. In sum, the restaurant and food are not offensive. But at prices easily $5-10 per plate more than the experience and quality dictates (no doubt the expensive rent they have to pay), I would definitely look elsewhere for dinner.

Benjamin Sporn

This restaurant is amazing! The oyster are delightful and the burger is Also delicious. It's has a rating that is way too low for the quality of food! I highly recommend. The service was not 5 star but the food quality was definitely!

David Dickman

Good food. Good drink. Good time (not that that matters...)

Stacey Quandt

The four stars are for the good service, comfy chair, low noise volume and acceptable food. The restaurant was chosen because of an accessibility issue of one the guests. This is the sixth and final restaurant we considered. I liked my fish and chips. It doesn't come with nearly enough tarter sauce. The vegetable starters of carrots and Brussels sprouts were nothing special. If you are looking for an OK meal and someone in your party can't deal with stairs this is a good choice.

George Thompson

For the price ($400 with tip for dinner for group of 4), I expected way better food and substantially better service. Multiple screw ups on the order, which wasn't very complicated at all. Clientele also not my style. A tad bit too homogenous for my diverse pallette. But I guess one has no right to expect too much more from a spot on Park Avenue South and 19th street in NYC.

Jonathan Casterline

Went for drinks and apps. Great atmosphere. Sat at one of the high top tables near window. Ordered clams, burratta, and grilled octopus. All of the food was delicious. Service was okay. Menu is a little pricey. Would go back but not make it a regular spot

Matt Dickson

Excellent menu, selection of whiskeys, and very freindly service.

jeff jacobs

Best fish & chips maybe ever!

Norman Sukkar

The first time we went it was fabulous, the second time good but not fabulous, the third time not quite good so there will be no next time

Godwin N. Gabriel

In recently visited NY on business and decided to check this place in my search of a nice warm place to have dinner. The hostess was inviting and she sat me at a nice table by the window. I sat there for about 5 minutes without any acknowledgment from the servers or staff - not even offered a glass of water. I remained patient as I figured the restaurant may have been busy. 10 minutes in and my patience wearing thin, I finally decided catch the attention of a server who had passed by my table numerous times. He appeared to be inconveninced as he hurriedly took my drink order. He told me that he was going to go grab my drink but felt the need to mention that he was not the section’s server - and that he’ll make sure to let my server know. Another 8-10 minutes go by - no water, no drink, no server while I noticed other patrons being served. I was even more shocked to see at some point the servers hanging out/chatting towards the back of the room as if all was good. 20 plus minutes in - I decided to get up and leave and was intercepted by a puzzled hostess who asked me if everything was ok. She asked if I had time to speak with the manager after I had shared with her my overall experience - to which I obliged. A manager arrived and she appeared as equally as shocked that this had happened and offered to buy me dinner. I thanked her for the offer but refused and insisted she focus on training or improving her restaurants quality of service. I usually don’t review places but felt the need to review/share this experience. Can’t help but wonder why I couldn’t get the attention of a server let alone even be served a simple glass of water...Was I not visible enough to them? Sitting on the plane as I type this, I’ve decided to share this awful experience with the internet. I’ve also already shared my experience with dozens of people including business associates. One thing’s for sure - You’ll never see me back at your restaurant again.

Leslie Tou

Great option is you have a vegetarian or vegan in the group! All the food was great.

Lisa McDermott

Really great selection of oysters! The soba noodle appetizer was very filling and delicious. Atmosphere was warm and inviting

Nikolai Tsankov

Love the food and location - but can be very noisy during happy hour around the bar area...

Steve Welgoss

Wow, everything we ate was delicious! Several more items on the menu looked awesome, so we can't wait to go back.

yaara yohanan rozen

So tasty and delicious

Matt Chin

Great service. Delicious food. A place you can linger when it's quiet.

Shaya Klechevsky

Cute space, if a little generic in décor. Food was solid, but not inspired. Everything was prepared well and tasted really good. Very decent variety of beers, wines and cocktails. Service could have been better, especially because it was a busy Friday evening, in the middle of holiday season (which is when you expect better service than usual). Great spot for picky eaters. Personally enjoyed the grilled octopus very much, as well as the octopus ceviche - both those things they did really really well - so kudos! Swordfish was also cooked perfectly, although the béarnaise could have been better - but at least they tried. Thought the brussel sprouts were good! I'd avoid the tres leches of you're expecting tres leches - it wasn't bad, it was quite good, but it wasn't tres leches.

Scott Moffat

This place is amazing. Forgot to take pictures, but we tried almost every appetizer on the menu. The crispy (fried) oysters are the best I’ve ever had in New York. They are hard to find in general and usually poorly done. These were so good we ordered them twice. Same with the hush puppies. They are the best I’ve had outside Charleston. Maybe even the best ever. Grilled octopus is great. Buffalo shrimp are awesome. Atmosphere is charming, cozy, and nautical. Classic high-end oyster bar feel. Only knock is the limited wine selection. They could use a crisp Sauvignon blanc and more bubbles. Service is great. Stayed open late for us. Pushed the envelope on the kitchen closing time on a Monday night. Looking forward to returning.

Michael Carter

Too much breading and batter on the appetizers for instance crab cake hash browns and cauliflower. The main course catering more to the healthier side, fish& chips and fish tacos.

Tim O.

I had high hopes, but a run of the mill experience. The ambiance is nice enough: cozy and fun without being trite. But the service and food both came up short. Not being able to find our waitress to order the main course or ask for the check...eh. The grilled octopus was over done and the fish (super greasy) and chips (overdone and dry) were sub-par. Nothing was terrible, but nothing was great. Pass for me. If you found this review or pictures helpful, please thumbs-up :)

Kyle McElroy

Nice variety of flavors and food. Very nice service. California heavy wine list. Overall, very enjoyable.

Josue Polanco

Great spot if you like seafood. The polenta fries were amazing. I would comment on the seafood but I'm not a big fan of seafood

Juda Engelmayer

Good tuna burger and avocado toast

Arron Outama

Happy hour 4-7 but all day on Friday. 1 dollar oysters! Awesome spot

Nathaniel Smith

We had a very good experience. The location was great. Although the portions were a little small we had 3 courses and we were not left Hungry. The deserts were all great and the catch of the day was fresh and cooked well.

Lorna Hanks

I like it for a Park Ave South lunch or after work pit stop, especially nice in the summer with their sliding doors open to the sidewalk for people watching...very fishy

Ralph Succar

I recommend Farmer & The Fish for any occasion!! Excellent cuisine and service, I had an amazing time with some friends, cannot wait to go there again.

Yuki Y

Zero star , bad experience, will never return. We were excited about this new place and went for girl's brunch. Food was ok, but had a fly in coffee, and the service was horrible with unacceptable attitude and charged for items we didn't have at our table. After settling the bills, the waitress came back asking for our credit cars again because there was some technical issue and needed to run them again. She assured we will not be charged twice, just technical issue. We reluctantly provided our cards for the second time. Then she came back with higher bill with 3 additional drinks we didn't have. We pointed out that those were not ours, but she insisted we had them at the beginning. I asked, who had them, but she couldn't identify but insisted we pay. After calling the manager, somehow they didn't need to run our CC again for correct amount, the Manager said the first bill is fine. Then later, we noticed on CC statement that they charged the larger amount that we we disputed at the table and settled. It'svery sneaky, the practice. The experience ruined our nice brunch and we had to dispute the bill later, wasting more time. Will never go back there and if you go, you should check your bill carefully!!!

George Manley

Amazing steak and seafood!

Mark B Borg Jr

We slipped into the Farmer and the Fish, famished from the second round (weekend) of NYC's wonderful August center-of-Manhattan treat: Summer Streets! Bicycles, joggers, skateboarders, walkers, rollerbladers (and -skaters), walkers (with strollers and without) all sharing Park Avenue throughout the morning an early afternoon. Farmer and the Fish is about in the middle of the route, and we were happy with the breakfast sandwich, avocado toast, and the atmosphere. Wonderful!

Harris Melmed

Ate here twice now. Atmosphere is warm and fun, food is good, but service was pretty cold and unfriendly. I expect more.

Bobbie Bowen

Excellent foods and service. Lovely ambiance.

Andreas Schulmeyer

Nice place for brunch on the weekend. A broad enough selection for adults, less so for kids. I had a chicken salad, where the chicken was well seasoned so not just a piece of sliced, grilled chicken breast on top. My son had the burger, which he thought was better than most here in the city.

James Cheng

Good, but pricey.

Jira Sai

We booked this place for a restaurant week, turns out the menu was different compared to what they offered online and instead of 3-course meal, it was only 2-course. Then, when we finally decided to order, they ran out of what we wanted. The server wasn’t really apologetic about our experience, so we decided to leave after half an hour of being there. Then, they cancelled us on Opentable so that we can’t leave our review there. I guess our experience could’ve been different had the waiter treated us better though.

Brian Caball

I enjoyed the food, though nothing memorable about it. Service was good. A little noisy at the front too.

Rob Millie

Good ambiance and service. Great for people watching if you get a streetside table. The food was passable - nothing that would bring me back on that alone but decent

Tyler Schwind

Good food and atmosphere. However, beware of the improper signage for Happy Hour Specials. Despite no stipulation being made, the happy hour prices only apply to patrons sitting at the bar. Even when ordering while looking at the sign, the waitress made no attempt to ensure we understood that the prices would not apply to us as we were sitting 3ft from the bar... but not at it They made no attempt to account for their mistake.

Shailesh Vasandani

Very nice and comfortable ambience, with prompt service and friendly wait staff. The menu is on the pricier side; the size of the portions begin to make up for it, but not fully. As for the food itself—very good. Of note was the fish and chips, but beware that the chips are more like wedges in size and in texture. The fish was tender and flavorful. Also, if you're looking to spot celebrities, this could be a good place to do so—if the price tag is worth it to you. Overall, a good choice to treat yourself.

Hana A

OMG I had my bday dinner here tonight and it was uber special, the best bday dinner the soft shell crabs delicious the kumamoto oysters to die for and the vino Sancerre yummy best of all the service Ben our server is a GEM. presentation, ambiance & music was sooo good I felt so comfortable relaxed & content. perfect portions I left there a happy camper very satisfied. A Happy bday indeed. Thank you!!! HANA

Olga Munoz

Excellent service (Olga was great)! Fresh and delightful food options. Went for brunch and was pleasantly surprised at the freshness of the food - I had the omelette and my boyfriend had the tuna burger. We loved it.

RB NYC

consistant disappointment

Dave Popple

Ran out of all you can eat mussels. The dishes we had were a little bland and required a lot of salt to taste good. Service was great.

Cinde Lucas

Octopus, Steamers, Shishitos & Bloody Mary. Very good! Those where some big clams! All cooked to perfection. Great service!

wendy early

Pp It was a great find

Danielle Krohn

The lobster hash was amazing. Went for brunch after a friend's bachelorette and it was a great time

Calohero Stuarti

The Farmer went fishing and ended up on Park Ave South where Angelo and Maxies us ed to be.

Nicole J

Excellent fish! Superb in the temperature and preparation... Super moist. Service was okay, wasn't crazy about the oysters.

Dave Provost

Held a bday dinner here with 7 persons. The space was great, with our table tuck 3rd d in the quieter back half of the restaurant. The waiter was very helpful, with the menus, and provided excellent service start to finish. The food was excellent and very decent pricing. I'll be going back.

Jeff Yablon

Nice little place for a drink and small bites

brandon pearce

Great Brunch not to miss. Amazing Oysters Mon-Thurs special dollar Raw bar. Great go to place in Flatiron District.

A great night for date night plus me. Their raw bar rocks with a collection of fresh seafood from NY's own Downeast Seafood, including oysters, clams, shrimp & crab. We loved the Oysters!

Awesome Sunday Evening at FF G . Farmer salad is too die for. Generous portion. The chicken, deposit fried in love !! So good. This place is a must visit. The pics on the wall of the farm in North Salem are heart warming.

Cosy place but for the price I was expected better food. I cannot recommend this one.

A culinary experience that is worth every penny! They have fresh herbs boxes growing in the middle of the restaurant giving a lively fresh smell to the restaurant! Coupled with great service and amazing food, this place is a must try!! Got the sea bass and wow.. clean plate club all the way

The food and service were good, the bathrooms though all stalls were clogged and unable to flush. I realized there was very little time to no water pressure. Also noticed there was no NYC rating posted.

The food and Drinks were great. Service was lacking. With the product they serve, service with smile should be easy. Hence the 4 stars.

Had a good experience in this place with my kids. The food was served quickly and the customer service is just fantastic. Prices are affordable.

I was really intrigued by menu. But dining experience was not great at all. I’m not sure why restaurants think they can charge top $ yet don’t provide basic dining experience, for example 5 of us around small round table right in entrance, 4 of us carrying bags and no place to put them, but floor. So loud I missed most of conversation. Also I don’t understand how you can charge $17 for cocktail and take 15 min to deliver it. And table was so small that we can’t even share appetizers. My $24 fish tacos were very forgettable, but my friend’s cod fish was amazing. Can anyone afford to not to be perfect in NYC??? This restaurant is off my list!

I Came here for restaurant week. The food is decent. Ordered the Linguini and loved it much. It was a hot summer day with open layout seating. A bit overwhelming eating hot food at the same time. Location is close by to union square and we were seated immediately. Over all a decent experience. The food portions are large too !! I would definitely recommend this place for everyone.

I just went to the bar with my friend , the mimosa was okay , and loved the cocktails , good size , good taste and good price compare to other places. Staff were very sweet and nice. Now , my friend had one of those clams , she said it was good but it need it to be more cold. Again , I just went to the bar , my review is based on the drinks , service & atmospheric feel. I did not ate a single think here , thought I would mention that. Place is clean and cozy , I'll be coming again .
