REVIEWS OF Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. IN New Jersey

Bee

The server is great. Food was good.

James Laird

I loved Bubba Gump in both California universal and Florida universal city walks. But the one in Manhattan NY, the customer service wasn't as good. Food was amazing in all three though. Great memorabilia hanging everywhere. Looks great. Not bad prices and the meals are large.

Luciana Carvalho

This is a nice place to eat seafood. Shrimps were nice and hot. The main plate with shrimps, fish, meat fish balls and fries do not worth it. It comes with a lot of fries and very few fish and shrimp. The decoration and service were great. Very nice place to go.

Roman Kesseli

Better than I thought. Really didn't want to go, but in the end, no regrets. Something different and good value overall!

Betül Şengül

I am deeply amazed with the place, the food and the staff. Also it is really cool the fact that you turn ‘run forrest run’ label to ‘stop forrest stop’ when you want to order. Dont just pass that beauty!

William Thomas

One of my first dates with my wife was here. Haven't been here in 10 years and with the exception of a few things on the menu nothing has changed "THANK YOU ". Food GREAT. Service GREAT. Atmosphere GREAT. Wait time on a Saturday, considering it's TIME SQUARE (20 minutes) Excellent.

Daniel Planz

We enjoy the Bubba Gump Restaurant on Times Square. Have been here several times to enjoy the view and good food. Staff is helpful (especially with strollers) and accommodating. Food and drink service is very good. Personal recommendation is the peal and eat shrimp. It is a mess to eat but tastes Bubbalicious!

Alessio Rigato

Great memories, very nice meals. My first Mac and cheese, I won’t forget! Highly recommend if you visit New York.

Hailey G

Be ready to wait 10 to 15 minutes longer than they tell you even if you call in advance. Also be prepared for your order to be messed up and get slightly small portions. The food was alright, but the atmosphere was great.

Julie Kelley

Food was decent. Service was okay. Not sure if the air conditioning was broke, but we were on the second floor and it was almost as hot as outside (92).

Dor Lily

They seat you very quickly and service is also quick. The staff is very friendly. A bit expensive but its Manhattan so its expected. its worth going.

Haris Qureshy

Saturday night and the wait time was only 25 minutes which is beyond respectable. Food was excellent , atmosphere was great also. Service was just a tad slow , hence the 4 star and not 5. I'll definitely be coming back!

Goldie k

Mac and cheese dish is always a treat!calamari isnt good one the other hand. Dipping sauce is bland and its mostly filled with hot peppers and red pepperd

Yvonne farenden

Delicious food served in a great place Staff are cool

Michael McGill

Food was good service was good, but prices were not good.

Calen Riggs

The staff was great and the place is clean. The fish and chips are the best. It's hard to beat this restaurant with the view that they have. It's worth the stop.

Harsh Shetye

The experience created at the restaurant is amazing. If you haven't seen the movie Forrest Gump they make you watch it. Entire restaurant is Forrest Gump themed. You see it everywhere to top it off they are playing the movie on screens. Servers are amazing and trivia at the end adds a fun element to the visit. Now talking about the food, not sure whether I ordered something wrong or it was just me. I ordered Forrest's Seafood Feast and it's voted #1 guest favorite. But for me it was just without flavors. More sauces would have been a better compliment.

Alex Miller

Really good food and drinks. Just kinda steep food prices. We sat at the bar and all three bartenders were on point! Matt even chased one out the door because he didn’t pay. I would definitely hire him if I owned a bar really loyal.

Derrick Anderson

Great food. Helpful server. Very crowded and popular tourist spot. Plan your meal accordingly.

ysenia Amaro

Delicious food just have to wait a long time to go and get seated for like 35 minutes

Danielle Kinslow

Fair prices considering it's Times Square but very mediocre food. We found some dishes to be bland. Fun atmosphere, stays true to its theme/movie. Our waitress was very sweet.

Tobias Schmelzer

Highly overrated. Unfortunately the worst shrimps I’ve ever had :/ I’m sorry. The plates are not as large as they appear on the pictures. It’s still a decent tourist attraction I guess. Maybe good for daydrinking.

Ulisses Penna

Could be better. I thought the meal was ok but a little expensive comparing to others franchises around Times Square

Marty Gindi

Well first let me say that the food was pretty good. A notch above other chains. We had an issue with food delivery though that essentially fails restaurant-101. 1/2 hour to appetizers followed by 3 minutes to the appetizer. While they did comp us about 20% of the bill, the attitude of the server and manager were 'whatever' My main issue for the low rating and the reason I wouldn't go there again are the prices I'm a born and bred New Yorker. I totally get why they would seem comforting but their prices... and all the other chains in Times Square are more than a standard mid to high level one of a kind New York restaurant. Tourists! Dudes! Walk about 5 minutes over to 9th ave and walk up and down from like 42nd to 55th. There are literally hundreds of restaurants ranging from burgers to any ethnic food on the planet... and hey with the menu outside and a little googling you'll be much more satisfied.

Subiya Anees

Amazing food and very friendly staff. Great experience

Scott B

Food is decent. Wish there was more of a beer selection. Restaurant was clean and waitress was nice.

lexii games

Omg this place is so cool. I had shrimp an i loved it. The staff their was wonderful

L F

This is one of our favorite places to eat in Times Square. Eventhough they're a chain restaurant I find their food is really good.

Travis Wells

Food tasted awesome. It's a tourist spot so expect to pay a pretty penny. Customer service is incredible.

Matthew Behne

Last time I was there, I believe, was early January of 2010. Now, I don't know how much has changed, what management, so forth and so on. But if you bring enough money, and desire to sample the various cuisine, I believe you will leave with a feeling that you've been in the movie Forrest Gump. Depends upon the imagination I guess. You will get shrimp there! There's no doubt in my mind. Now if you're not a crawfish, shrimp, Alabama bayou kind of person, then don't go there. The whole experience is based on the shrimp delicacies mentioned in the movie. There's tons of pictures on the wall that reflect upon what was in the movie, and the goal is to give you a feeling of the movie experience that involves your taste buds. Enjoy.

LEE M.O

Not so bad and it is pretty good except shrimps with beer. Above all, Brooklyn draft beer is awesome but staffs are so so. They don’ know how to work the most famous placed restaurant in the world.

RM Lombard

Had a great time. Fun to see all the Forest Gump memoribilia around the restaurant. The food was great and very tasty. Service was quality and timely. Worth a visit for any fan of the movie or good food.

Maxine Davenport

Food was very good, not a wait at all and a great view of Time Square!

Tammy M

Food is good but they have down rated the plates. It used to be big portions, I barely had any fries. And small portions of shrimp. The employees their are friendly.

leonel leyva

Great , excellent service and food me and my family love this place

Ronald Murphy

Server was awesome, food was great. Great atmosphere and items that really rang the feel of the movie. So much attention to detail it was amazing.

Jorge Bernal

Very good food and excellent service. Be prepare for the trivia.

Roger Weiss

The shrimp cocktail was just ok. The Mac & Cheese with shrimp contained two small pieces of shrimp, was very dry and contained more bread crumbs than cheese. The coconut shrimp was so thickly breaded it ruined the flavor (which was almost unbearable) the French fries were cold and flavorless. I had high hopes for this place because it was busy but, I wouldn't go back if someone else paid for it. For the cost of food it should have been better quality.

Gary Wood

Excellent service Drinks of difference and cool features forest would be proud

Mathiesha Dabarera

Food is okay, prices are not the best. Place in timesquare is compact. You get a nice view though

Debra Kulow

I had ceasar salad and gumbo which was delicious but took awhile to get crackers. Husband devoured his surf and turf. Had the dessert sampler of bread pudding, apple cheesecake and chocolate chip cookie sundae. When server realized we're here celebrating my birthday she brought me a big cupcake.. We waddled back to the hotel.

Cristiano Gazzi

Rally good Place to eat Shrimp. A lot of dishes, not too expensive

La8002

Such a fun place to eat dinner. The food was great and reasonably priced for a chain as well

Joshua M.

Bubba Gump was awesome. I came here after not visiting for a long while. The waitress was very friendly. The food is always awesome at this place. Can't wait to go again.

Betty Bell

I love coming to this place. Everything I've tried I liked. One of the best filets I've had. Great service too! Cozy quiet ambiance and comfortable booths. Parking is the only downside.

F Parvaiz

Good quality food, very good service. Price was as you would expect in Times Square. It left something to be desired after the meal. Not as many shrimp dishes as you would expect.

Martha Montes

To 2 greasy , we waited 1 hour 12 mins.. and I asked her if she can take the coconut shrimp back because it was just to greasy, she said I'll try to see what we can do for you, really? That should have been YES! ABSOLUTELY ! Instead she said I will take it back and you'll get a fresh batch, when she did bring it back I think she really brought me the same shrimp plate because it was cold and it looks the same wasn't even hot at all!! STILL SOAKED IN GREASE..

Carissa Marie

The food here is delish! Had the fried shrimp, fried fish and hush puppies! I don't even like hush puppies but they came with my meal, so I tried em. So good!! And their tarter sauce is really good too! My boyfriend had the fried chicken and mashed potatoes w. gravy, also super good!! The breading on both the fish and chicken was light and fluffy.

Israel Figueira

Good shrimp but not much food for the price, you pay for the brand

Beverly Hendricks

I know they have a few of these around the Country, but I bet the others don't have these cool mail shoots. The food and atmosphere was good.

Padraig Lawlor

The line at the door let's say is for 20 mins there is another line upstairs of another 20 nobody mentions. Have to say though the food is great !!

Ru Sarina

Bubba Gump belongs to the Laundry’s group of restaurants. If you are a Laundry’s member, you are VIP and don’t have to wait as long as regular customers. We went during lunch and there wasn’t any wait time. Bubba Gump has a store on the lower level and the restaurant is on the second level with a view of Times Square. The restaurant has memorabilia from the movie “Forrest Gump” and the movie is constantly playing on their tvs. The food is really good and the staff is amazing. Our waitress kept our family busy with trivia from the movie. We had an amazing time. We have also been to the Bubba Gump in California.

Daniel B

Its a must go... an amazing place that everything reminds one of the best movies ever!

Penny Christie

Eating at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. in Times Square has become a tradition for myself and my family. We go at least once every time we visit New York City. The food is not amazing but it’s simple and fun and if you can get a window seat, the view of Times Square is pretty cool. You definitely need to try the baked cookie sundae for dessert. Delicious. #letsguide #familyfriendly

Cindy Quach

First time here and it was a good experience! The place was huge and pretty kept. I loved how it's decorated! The food was great and the portions were large. Prices were a tab bit expensive. The service was great and the server was very patient with us ( we didn't know what to order).

Juliana Arcila Gaviria

The food, the place and the attention was amazing, everything is good, I celebrated my husband birthday, it was the best option!!!

Vanessa Kuboiama

Always full house and we always have to wait a few minutes (almost an hour) but that’s ok.. The food was always good e the waiters and waitresses aaaalways happy, making us happy too! That’s ok.. we were tourists, it’s a classic thing all the waiting, etc. was funny anyway!

Robert Jones III

The atmosphere is cool. Easy place to get to with multiple attractions around it. The service is excellent along with great tasting food.

נעמן היימן

Great service, great food. Took a while to make it, and a but expenssive, but totally worth going there

S. H.

Terrible! All of the food was super salty, and they fry it ahead of time and sit it to the side, it’s old and hard by the time it gets to you because it’s Times Square busy tourist location. Went to Red Lobster around the corner the next day and had a much better experience.

Tiffu S

Food is excellent, service was relatively fast considering how busy it was. Only complaints- took a while to get drinks and food portions are inconsistent. Atmosphere is what you expect from a touristy restaurant in NYC.

Hannah Law

Loved it! Service was excellent and the food was delicious.

Andrea McDonald

The wait was outrageous and instead of saying it would be over an hour and a half for a table they kept saying 10 more minutes! Thank God the food was fantastic, unfortunately our table didn't get served at the same time and half of us finished our food before the rest got served.

Jim & Inna

Been coming here for years now whenever I’m in the Times Square area. Highly recommend the Cajun shrimp app that’s not on the menu. Perfect blend of spices and killer garlic bread to dip in the juice.

Marcelo Spaltro

One of the places you can't miss when you are in the states. Bar tenders are really kind and are always available to give a good advice. Dishes are great.. it is not an expensive place, but not cheap either. It is worth a try.!!!!

Jonathan Finley

Fantastic variety of shrimp. Lives up to the name pretty well

Brinnlee Sweet

I had a really great experience here and we had a wonderful waitress! The wait time to be seated was minimal, and the waitress kept our drinks coming. We had a somewhat large group, and even still, we got our food in a timely manner! All of the food was so delicious!

Martha Nelson

Love Bubba Gump Restaurant. Always try to stop if I'm going to Tickets Tickets, on Broadway. Definitly, a tourist and non-tourist must stop and eat place. Food, portions and pricing is excellent, yum, yum. The menu is varied. So, there's something for everyone's palette. Walls decorated with memorabilia and scenes from the Forest Gump movie. They have fun, tasty and refreshing drinks, you can keep the fancy drink cup it's served in. Usually there's a line out the door. But, it moves. Make your way to the restaurant, I think you will like it. Caution: not a good pick if you're looking for fine dining. Bubba Gump Restaurant, is described as, laid back casual Enjoy!!

ALEEF02

The line today was expected to take 1 hour and 10 minutes to seat us, due to the spring break tourists. The hostess was on top of the people constantly asking her questions and gladly added us to the list and took our phone number. 45 minutes later, we were seated. The seating area was not compact and allowed us space to enjoy our meal. The coconut and fried shrimp exceeded expectations and the Strawberry Mango Chill was nice and sweet. Despite the large crowd, the service was very fast, as if it wasn't as nearly as busy as it was. This was a nice and easy place in the bustling square and was definitely worth the money. Just be prepared for possible waits up to an hour.

EmAgain Love

It was really good, and they had good service. The employees were very nice! I would recommend!

Julia Lee

Filthy and slow service. Received dirty bowls so asked for cleans ones. Took forever to get new ones and they were even dirtier. Gumbo was good. Ribs were dry. Ordered shrimpers heaven which contained a few shrimp and mostly fries. 4 types of shrimp. Coconut shrimp was the only one that was good. Tempura shrimp was hands down worst I'd ever had. Wasn't crispy at all.

Steven Sprecher

Had a 15-20 minute wait during the lunch rush for a table for two, but the time was easily passed browsing through items in the gift shop. Once seated, the server was prompt in taking our order and bringing out the food. We both enjoyed a tasty Shrimp Po' Boy and fries. The atmosphere and Forest Gump decor are great, and the establishment appeared clean and well maintained. It was a great place to stop for a quick bite!

alex mills

We were served by Joshua (don't know his second name), really nice guy who helped advised us on what to have off the menu. Will visit again.

David Abdullah

Always wanted to try Bubba Gump's shrimp since I had seen the movie. I definitely enjoyed the food and the experience of being there. However the portion for Shrimper's Heaven seems small, only a couple pieces for each flavor. It seems better to pick a flavor and order a bucket of shrimp. The drinks were sweet and just strong enough to enjoy. They come in collectible cups that you can retrieve from the gift shop upon leaving. Unfortunately when I went with my wife for a date night, we got seated by the kitchen area. Which was so hot we were sweating because there is no AC, fan or ventilation. The bathrooms are by the entrance, so we had to walk around the entire restaurant from where we were. Besides the discomfort, this place is still worth a visit if you know the story.

Lan NGUYEN

Amazing food! Worth the 50 minute wait - especially if you can put your name/number down and walk the strip while you wait. I got the shrimp Mac and cheese, mama's fried chicken and the fried coconut shrimp - I think that was my favourite. The drinks are expensive ($15) but majority of them, you get to keep the glass (souvenir) cup! Each drink comes with a different cup, some are NYC and some are labeled with bubble gump. A must try!

Christian Von Scheidt

Sat at the Bar due to the number of people. If you can, get some reservation before hand. Besides this, food was amazing and the girl at the bar provided an amazing service.

The DIY Journal

Food was horrible! I sent both my plates back I couldn’t stomach them. They charged me for the highest plate even though I ate none of it!!! Shrimp were over cooked! Do not waste your time!

Nicole Wells

When I first discovered this place 6 years ago, the food was AMAZING! Now, the menu is 3 pages of minimal foods; not too much to choose from now. The highlight is the restaurant is in the heart of times square...the view is great!

Rebecca Keenan

Food was good. Service was quick, but our waitress was pretty rude. Customer service isn't her strong point. The one in Charleston, SC is so much better.

Venus Rosario

The food was delicious i ate lemon butter shrimp with linguini and my boyfriend ate salmon over mashed potatoes which was made with red potatoes. The service was amazing loved it i will be back soon. Amazing place and Service

Terneshia Williams

Food was good.. but our server didn't check up often. My cup stayed empty most of the time.

Kym High

I was excited about going to Bubba Grump restaurant in Time Square, NYC. I went there on the forth of July and outside the temperature was 90 degrees at quarter to six. The air conditioner was not working properly and the restaurant was warm. I order the shrimp heaven(because I saw on the internet). I love shrimps, one of the cones had two tiny shrimps. I asked to speak to the manager and he started that no one else was complaining about the air conditioner. He also started that it was fresh seafood not out of the box(I wish that it came out of the box). The shrimps and the onion rings were very grease. If you want seafood that taste like seafood go somewhere else.

Rebecca Fagin

The food is very delicious! If ever around a Bubba Gumps Shrimp Co. Stop in and try it! Great atmosphere and good people!

김명숙

Kind staff good food. Convenient location

Yuliia Hlamazdenko

Make sure you watch Forest Gump before coming to Bubba Gump Shrimp. Loved the place for its concept and food! Everything we were recommended by our server tasted amazing. Aside from the calories, the food is to die for. The place is very busy due to its iconic location and hours, pretty much. Our server was cheerful and quizzed us on the movie (it was fun!). Although, we had to ask for water; and our food was forgotten in the kitchen when server went on a food break (which she notified us about). Servers have to improve their communication to make sure that customers do not have to wait for their food over 30 mins (especially this kind of food). Despite that we had fun! I would recommend this place for all Louisiana cuisine lovers.

Diogo Lima

Very nice and cozy restaurant! Some of the drinks come with the glass as a gift. Be prepared for the trivia regarding Forrest Gump movie ;-)

Latisha Clay-Cooper

Friendly staff. Excellent atmosphere. Fun trivia and great movie themed restaurant. I always have fun when I visit. However I'm vegetarian now and I wish they had more vegetarian food choices. But what do you expect from a primarily seafood place. I lo E it anyway.

Anna Francesca Baric

The food was good but my fries was not freshly cooked but overall I am very pleased with tje ribs and prawns.

Rebecca Shepherd

Just don't go to this one in Times Square. I don't expect my food to be like a box of chocolates--I want to know what I'm getting. Asked for a well-done burger with no pink inside, and it came back medium. Sent it back (I know, living dangerously), and it came back medium again. I just asked them to take it off the bill, which they did, apologetically. It's just not worth the hassle.

Micaela Roldan

It was a great atmosphere, good views if you get seated near the windows. Good food, good drinks. You get to take the cups home as souvenirs. Service was great overall it was a great experience and everyone in our group enjoyed themselves.

Brooke Lynch

Food was excellent, service was good, but the wait sucked! It's always packed. But people will wait for a good time in bubba and it always is a good time. We love it and it's worth the wait especially for a window seat with an amazing view!

Ryan

Love it here. Great, happy staff and always will to help. Food is just as good, my steak was cooked to perfection. It's a must.

Leah Cummings

The overall ambiance of this place is great. SPOT ON references from Forrest Gump (movie). While I’ve never come here for full on meals, the best dessert is probably their skillet cookie (comes with ice cream and whipped cream). It’s my boyfriend’s favorite and he likes to come here JUST for this dessert. However other small appetizers / sides we’ve tried (eg; bucket of fries) are very average (they taste like they are frozen). Unfortunately the most recent time we went, half of the restaurant did NOT have A/C so it was super hot there. The servers have always been friendly here. Since this restaurant is right in Times Square, expect there to be a lot of tourists and to be super busy. Luckily the restaurant is very spacious and has 2 floors, with nice windows so you can overlook the Times Square area. For tourists, I’d recommend this place specifically for the ambiance and Forrest Gump theme.

Raja Zakeeyah

I expected more but the atmosphere was really cool. I got the seafood feast. My fries weren't good but the cod fish was good. We also had the cajun shrimp. Which is pictured.

Daniel Betts

Great food and great service. Highly recommended

Keith Poss

Food was ok, service was a little slow. Definitely could use a decent HVAC system rather than portable units. And the staff needs to be educated on the menu ingredients. Many people have allergies or sensitivities...

Kevin Schafer

Current employees be weary they will close on you without notice. Best you find you new jobs and be ahead of the curve. They did this to the Charleston location.

Makenzi S. Diaz

Had a great experience. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was great.

Emily Mathieson

Tasty food and good service. I would definitely suggest sticking to the shrimp, the steak was good but th shrimp was significantly better! The portions are big - so this is a great place if you are hungry. Some of the cocktails also come with a cup that you can take home. Of course that meant I got a cup with a light up bottom! For fast, fried food and a bit of an experience, why not?

Balal Hussain

Actually alot better than I expected a theme restaurant on Times Square to be. Tasty surprises on the menu included the Shrimp mac n cheese and the New Orleans style shrimp.

Bhagavath Singh

We love the shrimps here . Must try food

Anthony McClendon

Absolutely amazing. Very good food. Good service. Took a little while to get the dessert we ordered, but overall, it was a great experience.

Lionnell Jemes

This place clearly knows how to treat their clients. Always with a friendly demeanor. The food is conveniently priced, constantly flavorful and clean.

Michelle Badato

Worth the wait for a table at the window. Good food. Good customer service. The best view of times square.

Quiana Kerr

Nice location in Times Square if you're craving a taste of seafood. Portion sizes were okay for the price points. Adult drinks could use more of a kick. But overall service was fast for a Friday evening for a group of five. Would recommend if dining in the area.

Hip Hop Junky Radio Show

I always feel like their food is a 5 star rating but yesterday wasnt. The spinach and Salmon were Super Salty. Didnt complain i figure all of ot tasted like that. Whoever cooked the white rice deserves a medal. It ALWAYS taste perfect. Still my favorite restaurant... I definitely go back again

Kyle York

We were here a few nights ago. Drink options were fine, food was as expected, BUT when I got an entire beer spilled on me by the bartender I expect at least a bit of a discount when I'm leaving as a sticky mess.. Based on this we won't be back and won't recommend to anyone else to go here either.

Mari Bar

Really delicious shrimp. And the jumbalaya pear raspberry salad was AMAZING. The staff is incredible and the views of time square are perfect. Highly recommend for big groups!

Carol Volpe Fiacador

If love Forest Gump Movie, Sea food, specially shrimps, you'll be crazy in this restaurant. The attendants are awesome, never let your drinks over, and your food come fast. And beyond that you could see an amazing view of New York! I was so hungry that I forget to take pics of my plate.

Kathryn Hile

Had the shrimp and ribs. Ribs were good, shrimp should be pealed before butterflied! Flavor was good but to hard to peal.

Jess Schumann

Our waiter was phenomenal. His name was Micah and he was the best. We were being very finiky, and he was more than helpful.

Jonathan Peralta

I would have originally given them a 5 star. There food is great delicious. But after 2 years of coming back. The portion are smaller. The steak was not as juicy as it was last time. I don't know if they change cheff or what. But there food is. Normally awesome. The ambience is all Forrest Gump theme which is awesome and unique.

Leanne Wong

Our server Harold was nice and very friendly! Checked on us if everything was fine and if the food was alright. Overall the food was tasty, and the place was clean and decorated well with the movie memorabilia. Had to wait for a bit to get seated but it’s worth the wait!

Edilia Gualdron

The menu has changed a lot lately; now it is limited to a few dishes. The nets catch used to have vegetables but not anymore. The best thing during my last visit was a great waiter named Nikola, and the dessert sampler.

Wendell Jones

Food was good but could have been a little more seasoned. Good selection of non-fishy food items. Large selection of non-alcoholic drinks as well as alcohol including wine and beer, in addition to mixed drinks. Service was very good with a friendly , attentive waitress. Nice atmosphere with views of the street from the second floor location. This is a plus since it is on Times Square. This was my first time and I could eat there again.

oknee me

Great food. Awesome service. Fun enviroment!

Sagen Williams

Also one of the best seafood places I have been to loved their signs stop forest stop, and run forest run. Food was amazing and the service was outstanding.

Sarah Rogerson

The food was delicious and was not so expensive. The view of times Square is nice whilst eatting. Our waiter Joshua was lovely and also informed us that there was one in London which we now plan on going to! He also made sure we got our free beer glass at the end! The only thing that let it down was when we was waiting to be sat there was 5 staff members in front of us all just talking and left us stood there for ages. That part needs improvement it does not leave a good first impression.

Sahib Hobby

Very disappointed! Family and I came to visit a year ago and enjoyed the meal. This go-around, the food was terrible (lacked flavor and waterdown)!! Too many changes to the menu. They removed the fan favorite (seafood pasta, shrimp bucket, doesn't serve corn on the cob) The best part of our meal - The drinks Wouldn't suggest this place there are other food locations in the area.

Gavin Bollard

Bubba Gump is themed after the Forrest Gump movie and contains a lot of memorabilia from the film. The service is reasonable and the food is actually pretty good. It's a great place for shrimp but it also has ribs and other meats. They serve alcohol and cocktails and the eating area is upstairs with the lights of times square coming through the windows. It's generally very clean and has a lot of seating. There are toilets on premises. It's not accessible by disabled people.

Nick Curcio

Made reservations for after a matinee show prior to show. Once arrived, had short wait for window table to be cleared. Seated by exuberant staff, followed by attentive/knowledgeable/entertaining waiter. Nacho appetizer was very good. Table ordered Salmon dinner, Sole/shrimp combo, and Jambalaya(2 orders). Decent sized portions. All cooked perfectly and were served hot. Very good brewed ice tea. First time visit for our guests who enjoyed the experience.

Raymond Waters

Everything is good. Been to this location many times, never a disappointment. Customer service is awesome and the way that the movie is incorporated into the place is really something to experience. Everything Bubba dreamed of for real!

judy scarpella

Best coconut shrimp ever! Great kid menu too! Nice family place to eat!! !

Up Close and Personal With Cassie

This place was Great! Loved the atmosphere. Our waitress was friendly. Only criticism. I got the snow crab legs. They were field market price so I expected them to be fresh and steamed right...mine were dry. I only got meat out of the larger part of the crab. It was late so I didnt fuss, we stayed untill after closing.

dave pelton

Three of us went here and had an enjoyable meal. The food was quite tasty and drinks were fine if a little overpriced, (no sign of just 7up or coke on the menu, just the fancy cocktails). Service was good and all in all not a bad place to go and eat. I just feel that for the price you pay, there are better choices around times square to spend your money.

Vikesh Lad

It's an experience worth trying if your in NYC, free glasses as such with drinks but its built into the pricing

JustSay_ Yaya

My absolute favorite place to eat when I come to Times Square. Not sure, can't remember, if they ever had the snow crab legs but my goodness I ordered them this time around and in love I was. It was the BEST snow crab legs I have EVER tasted in my life. When I go back that is a must have dish. DELICIOUS. Next time will take pictures.

laura tiberiu

Really cute place to eat, especially if you love the movie Forest Gump. Service was great and prices not bad. The food wasn't the best, but still pretty good

Joshua South

Our friend told us we had to visit here on our trip to New York. We waited about 35mins for a table, as you have to book in downstairs and then wait upstairs as well, which we didn't mind but do bear that in mind for your visit here that you need to be prepared to wait. We were seated in a lovely booth and had such a nice and friendly waitress, called Katy if I remember rightly, who was on a summer there from Ireland. She interacted with us and was so nice. Service was quick, and if you buy a cocktail you get a brand new glass to keep which was a bonus. Filled with memorabilia from the film which created a great atmosphere. Go there!!

Visited from out of town. Really liked this place. Food and atomosphere was great.

Bridget Lewis

Love the food and the view, looking out the window at Time Square.

Pretty normal chain place. Ribs were tiny (where do they find pigs this small?) but the shrimp were great! The staff were very courteous, friendly, and attentive.

Zoltán Munkácsi

Very good Forrest Gump themed gifts, we didn't try the restaurant

Maurice Reid

It was okay. Nothing really stood out to me. The decor is cool and the staff is friendly but I expected more especially from the food. When I think of a shrimp restaurant I expect generous portion size with a decent variety. I got none of that. Plus the price point doesn't match anything there. Not the flavor or portions. I honestly wouldn't recommend it but 3 star rating is really for the level of service the staff provided. Great job.

Very nice restaurant with amazing sea food. They offer delicious food in reasonable price and they deliver the orders in short time. They maintain proper cleanliness at every corner and staff is active all the time. Every costumer is greeted with smile which makes the environment congenial. However there can be more varities of food as current menu does not include latest food items.

Went to Baltimore aquarium for our family trip and we decided to try bubba gump shrimp with our family and the whole family got sick. We will never be eating at this place again. We paid 250$ just for everyone to leave our vacation with sick stomachs and diarrhea and everyone throwing up. We should have just went to IHOP cause that was our first choice anyway but we wanted to try something new

A classic. One of Times square's must do. Phenomenal Forrest Gump movie fans would love this place. Order shrimp...And run..

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT BUBBA GUMP. I use to work here from 2007 to 2009 and from then till now, the customer service has declined greatly from the team work to management. We had a great service by our waiter but the kitchen messed up a serious health warning on our food. We specifically explained one of our guests has high-blood pressure and cannot have any added salt whatsoever. They assured us they would be cooking a new batch of fries with no salt for her before ordering because they could not sub-side salad. When the food came out, the fries were salty and so was the veggie burger. Literally could have caused someone in our party to go to the hospital. Our waiter wasn’t nearby but when we put the “stop forest stop” sign up, no other waiter stopped, I had to get up and stop other waiters who didn’t want to help, one girl was so rude and said “I’ll get your waiter” which is not how this place is supposed to function. There was no team work at all. So after two of the orders were wrong and my food was partially cold, I asked for a manager, I had to physically get up locate a waiter and ask them to get a manger multiple times. I remember my days when manager on duty was actually seen on the floor and not hiding in the back never doing table touches and making sure people are happy. That was bizarre. Finally, the horrible manager comes over, JOEY, and because I speak fast which is innate and natural, he was rude and said “I don’t even understand you, you speak fast” and totally dismissed me and stopped interacting with me at the table and spoke to another guest in my party. He went to go get a salad for our guest and took a very long time, to the point, one guest was completely done eating before the guest in question had even received a replacement salad. I had to go find the manager who never came back to the table to make sure the salad was even received when he was the one who said he would replace it. I guess it’s too much to ask for people to be people of their word. When it finally came it was wrong and missing and item that was requested by the same person. One of the guests was so upset she wanted to get up and go find the manager herself, and embarrassed I was that I recommended this place, I stopped her and went to try and find the manager myself. He began to tell me that for some one who use to work here, he can’t even believe I would act like this. And began to belittle and speaking in a condescending tone and continued to berate me because I speak too fast and he didn’t understand me. I asked if he was discriminating me for how I speak. I began to explain I speak fast and I apologize if he wasn’t keeping up but he was dismissing me instead of being a nice decent person and maybe say, “I apologize your friends are having a bad experience, I didn’t catch every detail you mentioned and would like to make sure you are all happy since you are our guests, so if you could please explain a bit slower, that would really help me.” He began to play devils advocate and ridicule what I had just said and asked me if I was discriminating against him. He was at this point just trying to trigger and upset me. Then he’s like, you want your check? You can just take it and leave. I began to tell him now he can take my food off the bill since I didn’t even eat it because it was cold or just of poor quality and he just removed the items and dismissed me and left to the back. Not even so much as an apology. I came there to have a good time with my friends and eat together and tried to help his establishment since I worked here many moons ago but always knew them for their once amazing customer service now turned abysmal besides our excellent waiter who was beyond nice and kind throughout the process. I apologize it was too much to ask to be able to hang out with my friends, eat a meal together, respect the one health risk we had with one guest and be able to eat at the same time and not be treated as if we were insignificant as paying guests, because we are just that, GUESTS and should have been treated with respect and dignity.

Unique atmosphere, great food, on the expensive side but well worth a visit

I like the place. My first time food price a little bit too much for me food was great

Michelle Shani

You cant go to Bubba Gump and not have the Gumbo, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this chain restaurant. The view isn't so bad either with glass windows through out the restaurant you're eating with the view of Towns square below you. By far the best drink was the corona margarita. Fun experience.

LALA

The food was good Evan was dry and kind of rude but everybody else was great.

Prem Chand Chintalapudi

As expected, Seafood dominant restaurant. Majority dishes are made in typical American style like deep fry or barbecue. Prime location and nice vibe.

Evan Adams

Very average just around the corner are amazing foods that aren't chains

Bryson Johnson

Its so nice. very good

Otavio Maffud Cilli

Bubba Gamp is always great. The quality of the food and kindness of staff is amazing. Good option to eat on those busy New York streets.

Tammy *THE GREAT ONE* Queen

This time around it was all good my drink was on point my food was great the waiter was young and moving on point. I really enjoyed myself with my Friend being it was his first time there ever... I love my cups

Dee Dee Miller

For some reason the goods is taste good. It took your whole life to get your food and drinks and this was on a 400.00 tap. REALLY

Brynn Hartlin

I ate the shrimp while it was still in the shell but it's all good xx

Suroor Zehra

Loved the food and interior. Such an amazing experience.

Erin Sturgess

Great atmosphere and shop! Our waiter was so helpful and polite, but the other staff were rude and the food was basic. The drinks are delicious but the food is really not great quality.

Myrna Guzman

They have the best organization.. prices are reasonable and their Souvenir shop is GOOD on pricing.. Food and service was good...

jill fitzgerald

Our server Taylor was excellent. For an appetizer we had the Run Across America Sampler, which was delicious. I got the Lt. Dan's Surf & Turf.... The shrimp still had the shell on, they were under seasoned & over-cooked. The ribs were much better but they were a little dry. The Shrimp New Orleans was delicious.

Rob Mitchell

I like this chain a lot. All of the restaurants I have been to have been very consistent. Party atmosphere. Good food. Not spectacular and a bit loud if you're trying to have a conversation. I don't give 5 stars to a place where I have a hard time understanding what my date is saying.

Adriana Barrachina

Soooo great! Good meal and great people. The decoration is sublime. Have to repest!

Ahmad F. Shiddi

Loved the atmosphere of a crowded place in the middle of times square. Had my meal at the bar and the male bartender was in great mood and good spirit. Was very fast in making the drinks and enjoyable to watch. The rest if the staff was also great.

chloe francesca

This is a great place to eat, the atmosphere is great and the service was amazingly friendly. Would highly recommend a visit if your near Times Square. They have a great menu too.

Julio Long

I tried this spot already with my friend and I am obsessed ever since. I like the excellent vibes and flavorful dishes and beverages. Kudos.
