Dishonest lobster retailer, I would never go back. I purchased 15 lobsters (1 1/4 lb) on sept 21,2018. they scale lobsters with a lot of waters, and they also mixed 1 lb chix lobsters and still charge me 1 1/4 lb price. I threw at least 1lb of water from the bag and very disappointed.

Bought 7 lobsters and paid hard shell prices they were not hard shells I could break apart the shell with my hands. The lobsters were also not 1 1/4 lb or 11/2 lb which we asked for they were chicks I feel taken advantage of and will never come here again!! Lobsters are expensive as it is they should have the decency to give you what you pay for!!

I love the fact that you can buy seafood right off the boats. You know it's fresh because it's local. The staff has always been helpful every time I've been there. They explain the different fish and help you with your purchase. Highly recommend!

Amazing fresh seafood at great prices. The lobster was the best I have ever had, and the crab is excellent as well. I live right down the road, and plan to visit often. It's always a great day when you can walk to the beach and come home with a great seafood feast.

ordered two fresh lobsters and paid them to cook it, one was perfect but the second was suffering from lobster shell disease. You can tell because after the lobster is cooked shell part stay black. Guess thought dump it off on a out towner. Not COOL. If you can't trust your fish monger then stay away or get burned!!!

Quite frankly, this co-op doesn't care about stocking coolers and shelves with touristy bulk stuff. There is no grand presentation. Sometimes you have to wait to order. It smells inside...like ocean. Shellfish and saltwater permeating the air from old and unassuming display cases.The way it should be. Chalkboards with smudges and spelling errors boasting an impressive array of the freshest seafood known to man. Right off the boat, as though the fisherman were handing it to you themselves. Yankee Co-Op is a seacoast fixture for all of the right reasons. My dad brought me there as a kid. It has ruined for me ever since, all grocery store seafood purchasing.

Today my nephews and I drove to the beach and saw a sign that says live lobster for sale. So we decided to turn in and buy some live lobsters to grill. When we got there. The girl that works there asked us what we wanted so I told her I want 25 live quarter lobsters. She then asked us if we had a cooler and I said no. She then rolled her eyes and said “if you’re buying 25 lobsters why didn’t you bring a cooler?” I told her it was a last minute thing and ask her if she have any boxes. So she threw a fit and went to the back and start tossing the lobsters into the two boxes. She then brought them out and ring out the price. It was $320 so I paid for it. I asked her if I can get two plastic bag so I can try to not have any water drip in my rear trunk. She rolled her eyes and gave an attitude again and handed it to me. I don’t know what her problem is. Does she not want my business? That’s not how you treat your customers. I’m buying over $300 worth of lobsters why are we getting that bad attitude from you. I was nice enough to hold it in today and still bought it. I still don’t really know why we deserve that kind of attitude from her. Was it my skin or hair color? What was it? I forgot to ask for her name. Don’t know if she’s the owner there, or just a worker there. But we still didn’t deserve the disrespect. The lobsters are good there but I would not go there ever again until I get the proper apologies from her or the owner of “Yankee fisherman’s” Very horrible customer service!!!!!!

This is one of the best places for seafood. Because of the way it is set up, everything is fresh and comes in right off the boats. We've been here a couple of times and were not disappointed. We've had haddock, salmon, and lobster claws, all wonderful. The prices are also stellar for the quality of seafood and they even have a little area with some extras you might need to pick up, like seasoning and a lobster bib to take home with you for you own feast.

We stopped here yesterday after our fishing trip. We like to buy local and have been here a few times previously. Unfortunately our experience was not pleasant. If we had any other choice of places to buy at 5:00pm we would have left. We were treated horribly by the man behind the counter. We asked a question about clams and we told they weren’t for sale? We then asked to purchased 30 lobsters. The person threw them in a garbage bag, refused to put them in our cooler and didn’t offer us any ice for transport. If he would have been pleasant we would not have minded but he was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. I have never been treated so poorly by a person especially when we were purchasing close to $400 worth of food.
