First off the owners are fantastic people who go above and beyond to help and please their customers. And the staff, so nice and knowledgeable. The store is always so clean, if I didn't hear or see the animals, I wouldn't know they were there.. No smelly odors at all. The staff is always cleaning and/or taking care of the animals. I would recommend this pet store to everyone. Five stars plus from me .

Expensive source for small animal food. Around $18 here compared to $11-$14 at pet supplies plus, pet smart/petco, or chewy. Also suspicious there is no indication where the dogs and cats are sourced from, avoid adopting any to avoid supporting puppy mills. Granted, all the cages/fish tanks were clean but that's the farthest I'll go until it's confirmed these dogs and cats aren't from mills. Maybe I missed the sign and I never asked a staff member but things like that should be made clear without needing to ask regardless.

Im not a ex employee who is disgruntled.. I got a Yorkie there over a week ago and they said she was healthy and their vet said she was healthy Doc smiley is the vet they use.. But i took her to a vet last saturday and we found out she had Giardia cysts and ova parasites!! I just returned her this Tuesday August 9th 2016 and they already have a video posted today Aug 10th 2016 to try to sell her like she's healthy but she isn't, and she's not even cured yet and hasn't even been treated or finished her treatment yet, she's the female yorkie born 5/21/2016 with the pink color thing on!! Don't buy her she's still sick and hasnt been treated all the way yet and she also has a runny nose and sneezing. And their trying to sell her as if she's healthy and saying she's healthy when she's not!!! Also when i special ordered her they said she had AKC papers and she didn't come with any. When the breeder they got her from had it posted she has papers.. Then trying to get them to do anything for you is is ridiculous. There's only a couple of decent workers there!!! And when i returned her cause she is sick they had attitudes and not really nice!!! When you buy there they are nice but when you return not so much!!! Also when i returned her they conveniently took all the vet papers that had said what she's sick with. But i made copies!! Their sneaky!! Don't sit there and have attitude with people for returning the puppy when your selling puppies to people as if they are healthy and saying their healthy and have it posted on your site that the puppies are healthy when their not!!! This was a sad situation for me and my fiancé cause we fell in love with her right away, but i just couldn't keep a sick puppy.. You spend 1,500 dollars on a puppy that you were told had papers and no papers came with the puppy for that price their should have been papers.. And i also was told she was healthy and that wasn't the case and had to return her. It was hard and sad.. For that price their should have been papers and she should have been healthy!!! They are licensed legit breeders supposedly but the blonde lady their told me from her own mouth that the breeders are on a computer online and can write anything and lie about anything and say anything to sell the puppies and they don't know these breeders see these breeders or know anything about them. So as far as im concerned the breeders are liars and so is the pet shop!! STOP LYING TO CUSTOMERS!!!! DONT BUY THE FEMALE YORKIE!!!!!

Two things went wrong here . One isn't necessarily this store's fault. We got a beautiful golden retriever which our family loves. When we got her, she was very weak in her hind legs as though she had been couped up for quite some time and we could not get her to hold her bowels over night. We thought she had a sensitive stomach, but after finding blood in her sloppy messes and watery diarrhea, we ran her to a vet and found hookworms. She was tested and treated for worms supposedly but this is on the breeder as they are tricky to get rid of in a short time. The issue I have with the store is that my wife left a review before picking our puppy up stating that she hoped these other reviews claiming that the dogs come from puppy mills were wrong. The next day, we received a call from the manager after he took time out of his day to look up her name from the review and cross reference it to our order just to break her heart and tell her she can have her money back. She had to cry to him to get him to change his mind. The only thing to come good from this was we now have a healthy pup. But after very expensive vet bills. Beware of the store and do as much research into the breeders as you possibly can.

I have been reading the reviews for this store and I have to say that some are just crazy! Like the comment before be if you think you are going to a local shelter and getting a local dog you may be confused most do come from out of state or puppy mills that have been closed down. We just got our little pup there about a month and a half ago and he is completely healthy and so friendly!! When going in there remember the staff deals with people coming in and out all day some actual interested and others not at all. When they ask you to use hand sanitizer before holding or in between touching the pups and don't let the puppies be over handled that's not being mean or nasty it's being responsible for the health of the pups now in there care.... Just saying I had an awesome experience and love our little man!

BUYER BEWARE! Puppy Mill Puppies! We recently bought a puppy that we were guaranteed to be from a reputable local breeder. Come to find out that our puppy actually came from a Puppy Mill with numerous violations against them. Our puppy ended up with pneumonia, every parasite imaginable and almost died. The owner apologized but took no responsibility. after reading other reviews, I realized that I was not the first person who was lied to in this way. The store gives you insurance coverage as part of your purchase but the insurance company denied our whole claim although we had adequate documentation. After fighting with the insurance company we were partially reimbursed for some of the claim but still out over $300. We were told that a blood test is not necessary when dealing with pneumonia. According to two vets that we visited that test was a sure way to see in what shape our puppy really was and absolutely necessary. To make a long story short, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS BY BUYING FROM HERE!

We had such a great experience there. We bought our sweet little puppy there last week and he developed a minor cough. We brought him back and the had him under observation for 2 days, gave him medicine, cared for him and saw their vet. He came home healthy and is a fabulous addition to our family. Not to mention they were very supportive of the fact that my children 6 and 4 wanted to interact with him. So each time we went in to visit before he was ready to come home they set up a pen and let us play with him.

My family has purchased a cat a dog and a gecko from this store. We found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We go back in on a regular basis to purchase supplies for our pets and the staff always remembers the animals that we got from them and asks how they are doing. They are always very willing to take the time to answer any questions that we have about our pets. Each time we bought a new pet there, we went through a lot of paperwork and care for the animals etc, and the staff made sure that we understood everything that we needed to do before we left. I would highly recommend (and have) buying your next pet here if you are in the market. I know that if we decide to add another pet to our family in the future we will be getting it here!

Horrible customer service. Not family friendly at all. My two year old son was trying to pet one of the puppies n a rude lady picked up the puppy n told it to stop barking (which normal puppies do when excited) n walked away with it. Not even caring my son was trying to petting him n give him attention. Really pissed me off. Could of been seeing if that was a puppy we wanted to add to our family. Definitely will never buy anything from that store again.

How pathetic that you have employees amd the owners attacking people who give them a bad rating. Low blows and all over nasty. Grow up. I purchased 5 rats from them and 3 of them died. Tell pull their tails to move them which is awful because you can deglove their tails but obviously don't have the education for it, mix the litters together so you could have accidental inbred females and not even know it. They sell you sawdust and seed mix for them even though it's absolutely awful for their lungs as they have sensitive upper respiratory systems. They have no clue what they are doing. I will never purchase or even step inside their store incase I carry another virus home to my remaining two girls who are now on daily antibiotics to try and save them as they caught what the other three had.

It will be a cold day in hell before I give a dime to a store that supports the puppy mill industry. With so many amazing dogs in shelters and rescues, I can't wrap my head around why someone would buy a dog anyway, much less a poorly bred, poorly socialized puppy. Just my two cents.

Came to purchase equipment, brought it home only to discover it was broken. Customer service skills leave something to be desired, Im lucky we had the receipt but even then, they seemed accusatory. On a side note, this is a depressing place with at least two animals I left feeling deeply concerned for. Staff comes off ignorant and it's clear these people are just trying to make easy money, what a shame... we live so close so the location of this shop is convenient... but in the future I'll gladly travel much further to shop anywhere, ANYWHERE, else.

I bought my Yorkie at this pet shop a year ago this coming July. She is healthy 1 year old and I have had no health issues with her. Actually, I am so happy with this wonderful dog that I go in every week almost to browse for another dog. Every time I go in there I see the precautions enforced for infection control to prevent puppy illness. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. Thank you for caring for the puppies the way you do. : )

I would rate this place 0 stars if I could. I was going to pay quite a bit of money for a puppy that i wanted to take home that night and was actually told no. No because he had a “smushy” face and they didn’t know if he was sick or not. Soooo. I offer to take him to my vet if I can take him home tonight, get told no again. Was also told that I could not hold the puppy because he apparently was taken out too much today. Didn’t seem to care if he was sold to someone or not. She was a rude blonde lady that demanded I clean my hands in between petting puppies. I happily did but there was no need to demand me to do it, you could’ve just asked nicely and I would’ve happily done so. Anyway, the place in fact did look quite dirty and shady. I am very unhappy with the service at this place and will not be returning here to pay for an over priced puppy who they don’t seem to care if they find a good loving home or not.

While we certainly acknowledge that there will always be issues when dealing with live animals we try our best. It seems a bit unfair to allow a person to sit behind a computer and write a long disparaging paragraph about how horrible we are and then not allow the place of business to respond. Please come to our store and see for yourself what the truth is. Ok I've read some experiences on here and I wanted to put out my own.which when i bought my dog and read some of these after i was paniked about picking him up.I bought a westiepoo here his name is Louie I've had him 6 months he is my best friend .He is perfectly healthy and fine.He had one parasite that I was told by my vet was seen alot in puppies no matter where you buy.Some say they sell mill puppies they say they don't and I don't have the right to tell you if they do.But I get flack for getting my dog at a pet store .I have rescued dogs in the past as well.My opinion is every dog needs a home no matter where you buy them.Iam so happy I bought him .He is my best friend and I'm so glad I found him here.I also have four other people in my family who got dogs here and they are fine.So I really think it depends on the dog.I can say I'm thankful I found him and I personally would buy a dog there again.Some people have bad experiences with it mine was fine so I figured I'd give a review.

The staff was friendly and helpful. However, my poor little pup had ringworm and giardia. I was sucked in because I was told by a client of mine got his dachsund here and told me that they only buy from breeders... but little did I know that backyard breeders are basically the same thing as puppy mills. They did give me meds for both the giardia and the ringworm. I wanted to love this place. I really did. I have been looking for rescue dogs for months, but wasn't able to find a match for my particular situation. I am now looking for a 2nd pup but am having mixed feelings about returning here.

About a year ago one of our dogs died so my family and I went in there to look at the puppies. We found one we were absolutely in love with and they informed us she had kennel cough so we had to wait before we could put any money down. We usually dont buy from pet stores but the local shelters really only had big dogs and we were looking for something little. We wanted to see if we could get a tiny discount because she was on medication we would have to pay for. They told us they would give us a call and we told them we were very interested. We said we would take her at full price if they couldn't do a discount. So we waited a couple days and checked the website and they said she was sold. We called and a snooty voiced woman talked to me like I was a child telling me she had called me and left a message (that I never got) and they sold her to someone willing to pay the full price. She also said they could "special order a dog for us" like she was a pair of pants. Very disappointed that they would rather sell the dog for the money rather than to a family that would have taken very good care of her. Never shopping here again. Rude staff, money motivated manager and poor animal care.

I got two rats from this shop 2 weeks ago. They were both in the same tank, so I figured they were the same sex. WRONG. Now I have one very pregnant baby rat! I won't be returning the female because she'd just be tossed back in with mixed sexes and probably end up with overlapping pregnancies (can happen w/ rats). The ones I brought home seemed in good health, but they DEFINITELY have the sniffles. I was disappointed also by the size of cage the rats were in (10 gal tank for half a dozen rats ... not good), their bedding was wood shavings (a HUGE NO-NO, rats are very sensitive to wood oils and can cause bad lungs for life), and they were eating people food (when asked, the owner said she didn't feed them rat food, just scraps and cat food) which isn't necessarily bad, but still unprofessional. I will say, they're getting 2 stars not 1 because these rats are very nicely socialized. All in all, this shop doesn't discriminate between feeders and pet rats in their care which is disappointing. I won't be headed back here for pets again.

I don't know why this pet store has the word "FAMILY" in it's title since my family was not welcome at all. I brought my two young daughters in there to look at puppies and kittens and the staff was rude and abrupt with my girls. Both of my kids are excellent with animals and treat them kindly. I am a vet tech so they have been taught how to handle pets of all kinds. The manager would not let my girls handle or touch any of the kittens or puppies and were asked not to put their hands near any of the cages. I didn't feel as though the staff cared about their customers OR the animals in the store. If you do not welcome kids in your store than you should consider changing the name! I would never purchase a pet there based on how we were treated while in the store.

This "Pet store" is asking $1,200.00 for a Puggle. a puggle is a mixed breed dog. $1,200 dollars is INSANE!! But even better is a "Bulldog mix", I saw the pictures of both, the bull dog absolutely looks like a mixed breed and or mutt (I have nothing against mixed breeds; all of my dogs growing up have been mutts. They are both very cute) THEY WANT $1,500 DOLLARS for a non purebred dog. WHAT?!?! Shame on you, that under any circumstance is not a fair price to your consumers!! Since when have "pet stores" sold cross bread dogs for the same if not a higher amount than from a reputable breeder? The employee states the cost is SO high due to the shipping fees to get the pups to the store! Then stop buying from puppy mills and find a good breeder for each and every breed you sell. If I could give you ZERO STARS, I would. Shameful.

I have never been there and never will. Everyone that doesn't live under a rock knows that pet shops get their puppies from puppy mills. They can lie all they want but do some checking, the pups comes from the midwest which is puppymill country. Reputable breeders DON'T sell to pet stores. So when they tell you they get the pups from reputable breeders its a lie. Pet stores are only after the money, they will sell to anyone that has the price. A reputable breeder will ask you questions and check you out before letting a puppy go to you, not so with a pet store pup or kitten, anyone that has the money gets the animal, if its sick oh well, your problem. People have been warned time and time again about buying from pet stores, if they choose not to listen and check things out for yourself they suck it up, you brought your problems on yourself. If enough people stop supporting pet shops the mills will have no incentive to keep breeding. You will save countless lives and suffering by not supporting any pet shop that sells live animals

I purchased a beautiful yorkie in Nov.2015, she had kennel cough when we brought her home, the next day I called and they referred me to Dr.smiley, who was wonderful and eased my worries that my baby was sick. Several months later I brought her in to get her nails clipped and the ladies took excellent care of her. I understand alot of people have had issues with them but my experience was great.

I've bought the cutest little pup from here but it pains me to know that she was from a puppy mill. We were told at the time of purchase that she was from a breeder - only afterwards a simple search revealed the truth. They provided what looks to be a record of her bloodlines which could very well be made up information, just to assure us that she was 'legitimate' in order to make the sale. What's worse is that I found listings from the puppy mill where they're sold for a fraction of the cost that this place is selling their dogs. Although they try to ensure that the animal is healthy, I still fear down the line there is some genetic disease that stems from poor breeding hiding within her. I've had my dog for almost a year and I love her more than anything, but I don't think anyone should support these practices. Please, do not buy any puppies from this store unless you want to support puppy mills. Yes, they are cute and draw people in, but for their inflated prices you can easily buy one from a reputable breeder instead.

Not sure how many stars to rate this as I am just here to make a comment. I visited the store yesterday for the first time and found the employees to be friendly enough. They were busy changing papers in all the puppy cages while negotiating around 7-8 window-shopping customers. The animals all appeared in good shape although underlying health problems aren't immediately detectible by someone with an untrained eye like me. As I am somewhat familiar with the horrible conditions of puppy mills, I did ask an employee where one of the puppies came from. Without hesitation she looked it up and told me he came from Missouri. She went on to say that the owner has a supplier in Missouri where he gets the animals. Although Missouri tops the Humane Society's list of worst puppy mills, this does not prove the owner supports one of these mills with his orders. However, it does seem questionable when there are local breeders he could support with his business that don't require this long-distance shipping from Missouri. I along with others I've talked to, would like to see pet stores get their puppies and kittens from local shelters to help find those unfortunates a forever home.

I bought my peagle,beagle/peekineese, dog from there 4 yrs ago and hes been a great dog with no issues. I guess I got lucky after reading these reviews. Hes my first dog and was healthy from day one. I will say that Ive been in there since and the customer service seems to have slid downhill. I dont think I would buy from there again and go to a rescue instead.

My best friens and I wanted to just go check out the puppies. I ended up purchasing a Jack Russell Terrier, she a Min Pin. Both, healthy and beautiful dogs. The staff was amazing, informative and genuine. That was a few years ago. We still frequent this store, hamsters, fish, sometimes just to visit the puppies. It's great example of the way a pet store should be, clean, personal and informative. Love this place!

went here with a few of my friends for some puppy therapy and to look at possible puppies for purchase. we waited a bit to hold the puppy we were looking at because they were being fed. once we were allowed to pick the puppy up the lady immediately grabbed him in a panic, and said she didn’t want us to drop him and asked if we were 18. (we’re all well above 22) we left as it seemed like she didn’t want us to touch any of the puppies so we decided to head to a different petstore with kinder staff.

If the store doesn't have what you are looking for, you can look through the breeders and work through the store to get the pet you want

My mom and I just live together and it was a big Hassle to deal with the giardia and A puppy in general!! We loved her Like a sister/daughter. Sadly we had to give her away because of my after school sports, and we live in a Condo so other dogs Would get it. My boyfriend and i walked in there for the first time on new years day. I fell in love when i saw all the puppies. I took notice to the majority of the cages with sold signs on them. Right away that told me this place must have a great reputation. There was also about three diffrent customers buying puppies as we were walking in. The cages were clean. And the puppies were super friendly. Unfortunately we are moving next month and want to wait to get a new family member but we fell in love with one of the puppies. We will definitely be back to purchase. The staff was busy but made sure you weren't forgotten.

*Update * We ended up coming back and bringing our baby home! He is now a happy healthy one year old pup. I was just in there today. I wanted to see a 10 week old Shiba inu. The puppy was too excited to hold so the nice lady put out a play pen and my husband and I were able to get in and play with the pup! There was zero pressure to buy and I could tell the puppy was attached to the lady there. She was very nice. Overal it was a nice experience.

Got my first puppy here. He had some very minor issues arise in the first month - parasites and digestive issues (both of which are very normal for puppies, especially with the stress from moving from store to home, etc.) They were very caring and helped with purchasing medication for my pup. I adopted him as a “pomsky”, which is a husky Pomeranian mix. I got him a DNA test for Christmas, and it turns out he’s actually half pomsky and half klee kai/shiba inu! His grandparents came up as show dogs even! He just turned a year old and is honestly the smartest, friendliest dog. He has a wonderful demeanor. I’ve never had a problem with this store, and honestly don’t understand why reviews on here are saying that the owners and workers are not friendly... these guys were great and very helpful.

Love going here to buy fish much more healthier then the big stores like petco and petsmart and great friendly staff and if you want a type of fish they don't have they will happily order that type for you only takes about a week and sundays are buy one get one for free !

I don't know why I've seen some negative reviews, some look like they are from disgruntled employees and I think I saw a complaint about a rat. With that said, I purchased a beagle from this location in April of last year. Everyone was friendly to me and I was even offered financing to get my beagle, Blu, and all the items I needed to take care of him. We were provided with all of good paperwork, advice, and even pictures of his parents. My wife and I are actually going to go look again for another beagle this week so Blu can have a companion.

The store follows your purchase long after you have left - they make themselves available 24 hours a day - 7 days a week. They care long after one leaves the store. Who else does that?

Probably the worst experience I have EVER had with a business. Do not buy ANYTHING from them! Especially an animal. Their warranty is garbage. They will not treat your puppy if they are sick, all they offer is to observe to see IF the puppy will get better. My dog would have died in their lack of care. Most uncaring pet shop I have ever been to. Feel so bad for those poor animals.

My family and I got a Bassett hound from here a year ago. Due to bad breeding aka the puppy mills they buy from.. We now face the devastating decision to put her down, give her a $5,000 surgery that might not be successful, amputation, or let her live in pain, or what we are currently doing is a cocktail of medications (to make her comfortable)- 4 pills twice a day to be exact until her liver and kidneys fail... Its not only heartbreaking for me, but our kids. They now have to feel the joy of finally being able to have a dog, only to feel the heartache of loss. It's unbelievably painful to loose a beloved pet.. But it's devastating to know your pet was robbed of many many happy years due to negligence on both the "breeder" and the pet store. I feel like the pet store was very deceitful in not forwarding information regarding our dog's parents. They took more time in covering their asses legally than caring for the future of their dogs. Putting aside the financial burden of nonannual medical bills, and monthly visits to the vet office. The emotions my family feels and seeing our dog in constant pain that is the worst of all. I will never even set a foot in this establishment ever again! I cannot express how utterly saddened we are to have to say goodbye to our beautiful dog so soon. :'(

Bought 2 puppies from here and both were sick the place is a joke. Dropped of a stool sample and they just throw it out.... Lie to me more then once about there so called vet Doctor Smiley. There were no smiles here. wish I would of read their reviews before buying a puppy here. they are a puppy mill reseller.

Poor staff. I got my rabbit from here about a month ago. They lied to me about the age, breed, and sex of my rabbit. They told me it was a boy, but it's a girl, they told me she is a mini Rex, but she's a regular Rex, and last they told me she is 3 months, but my veterinarian said she's about 2 years old. She was also kept in poor care. I ended up bringing her to the vet and turns out she is blind and had snuffles, non of which were ever mentioned. I will NEVER buy another animal from there again!

All animals cages are always so clean not matter what time of day I walk in there. The puppies look so healthy and happy. One of the only pet stores that still sell puppies that I actually like. No puppy is there long and half the time they are bought before they even arrive. This store makes sure the puppies are healthy before even displaying them or allowing them to go to a home. A vet comes in to check the puppies. Everyone working there is extremely nice, whenever I go it's a gentle man and older lady who are super sweet and helpful. You feel very welcome there. They only allow 18+ to stand up and hold the dogs, any younger get to hold the puppies while sitting on the floor to help prevent injuries to the puppies if they seem to wiggle out of your arms, which I find to be a great idea. They really care for their animals. All mice, rat, Guinea pig and rabbit cages are clean, and I mean spotless. The crates that hold the puppies are pretty large compared to their sizes. The cages also have pads underneath and those are always clean they change them frequently. Overall this place is amazing. Whenever I go up into Nashua and I'm near this pet store, I have to stop in. I cant help but find myself drawn to this place. Even just to look, it's a warming feeling inside.

How is this place still operating? It is nothing but a puppy mill!! The owners are extremely rude & do not even say hi when you go in there! I can not believe a place like this still exists!! Some of the puppies looked sickly & their eyes were all crusted. As a pet owner I am disgusted by this filthy, smelly, nasty place. I hope this place gets shut down soon. Those poor innocent animals do not need to be subjected to this.

Our family has been looking for a puppy for a few months. We were in the area, and decided to just take a look inside. When we walked in, I said hello to every employee. Only one employee said hello back and he was a young looking kid. They had 2 puppies and they had a list of coming soon puppies. I stood there and looked at each and every picture. At one point, the man, who I am assuming is the manager, walked over to the cabinet where the pictures were hanging, opened it up right in front of me so he could do what he needed to get, closed it, and walked away. He never once asked me if I could be assisted with anything. Another older woman acted as if I was in her way as she had to walk past me twice. It just was NOT welcoming at all in anyway. The 3 staff members just talked about what their plans were on their off time, having so much fun among themselves, but we did not exist. My family and I were very respectful and polite so I cannot understand why we could not be served. I do not recommend this place.

Dirty store, poorly kept animals who are often sick, and a staff that has little care for their customers or their pet. They’re more expensive than Petco/PetSmart and lack the care for your pet’s best interest... just avoid this place. There’s a Petco further down the street, you will have better luck and healthier animals there.

PLEASE READ: This place is a joke! They mask themselves as a cut above other pet stores and they actually care about their animals, but this is untrue. I was naive and I should have known better. THEY SELL PUPPY MILL DOGS HERE!! Do not support this place. They give you pedigree paperwork making it seem that these dogs are coming from established breeders, but this is untrue. I researched the name of the breeders and they are all puppy mills. I researched the specific name I received under the USDA website to determine that they've had several reports where the dogs were extremely underweight and sick looking. Do not support this place and do not buy dogs from here. I spent over five grand the second month that I got my dog because they thought he had parvo, but in reality, he had a very serious case of giardia from being transported in dirty conditions and at too young of an age. My dog is now 4 years old and I love him more than anything but I am sickened that he came from a puppy mill and I spent 2 grand and supported that kind of practice.
