Excellent selection, decent prices, really great place if you're into Aquaria. Evenings are sometimes busy, so, if you can- try to stop by mid-day. They have tons of decorations, accessories, fish and live plants to choose from. I go out of my way on many occasions to drop in and see what new stuff they may have in stock. Definitely worth checking out

This is mostly for the aquatic areas of the store (haven't been there for much else evere!): we were noticed right away even though they were busy, they were patient in answering all our questions and offering good, sound advice. The man that we have seen on each of our visits has been truly knowledgeable both regarding salt water and fresh water and is completely honest with us. This is a rare find in the aquarium community and I highly recommend stopping for a visit! They have a good selection of fresh & saltwater and are always willing to order in for you so long as they can get it. I definitely recommend this store for a beginner or an advanced aquatic hobbyist.

I go here for aquarium supplies. The fellow who runs that part is very knowledgeable,helpful and practical. He won't suggest a $100 solution when a $5 one will work.

Like many pet stores, the animals are kept in subpar conditions. Just enough to live. Heat and humidity wrong in most reptile envlosures, substrate is wrong in all reptile evclosures(will eventually cause impaction), some of the birds look in ill health. The stock on items is fairly good however, and the staff are pretty helpful and very friendly. Very clean store. Public restroom. I haven't used the pet washing facility, but it looks very nice.

I selected an anemone, which was firmly attached to the glass tank bottom. The young woman helping me wouldn't attempt to remove it, for fear of damaging the animal. She explained that her supervisor was skilled at the detaching of anemonies, and could do that without damaging it. Her concerns were that if she detached it I would bring it home, damaged and it would die. She wanted to avoid having me experience such a loss as a customer, and also she didn't want to kill it. They hope to take good care of the animals they sell, rather than kill them off. I found both sentiments commendible. The store is clean, with a good selection and helpful staff.

I bought my bunny from this place , poor baby died of a sudden heart attack not even two weeks later. I did everything by the book, gave it a good home, lots of love and took excellent care of it. When my bunny passed I called these people the next day to explain what happened and the lady was nothing but rude. Cut me off, and had zero information. Anyone else get a bunny from this place recently and find any health problems with it ? Let me.know.

My dogs like to go in for a treat and in emergencies I will buy, but Their dog food is $10.00 more per bag than Amazon and Amazon delivers free to my door. ( They do help you get the food in your car though.) I like the store and most of the people but it is out of my budget.

Place was clean an more organised in the fish department than at the Lebanon one. Good variety of shrimp and fish looked very good. The guy there was very helpfull and was friendly towards me. Also there Betta displays are amzing. Definatly going to buy fish here again.

I drove a half hour or so to go to this pet store for the first time because my local pet store was having issues keeping stock of the food I needed for my pet snake and no other place in town sold what I needed. So I took the drive to Claremont pet & aquarium and they had exactly what I needed! The staff where so friendly and helpful. This pet store is one of the bests I've ever seen. Despite the fact that I have health issues and it is hard for me to drive for any substantial amount of time, I will be doing my business with them from here on out! Highly recommend!

This place should not be able to sell or habitat reptiles. They used to always have malnourished snakes but now they have zero. All the enclosures have notes saying "do not use AT ALL". It's sad to see they treated them so poorly to the point they're cages cannot be used. Only thing I go in for is to buy rats and to chat with the guy in the bird section. By far the best employee that place has.

do. not. buy. gecko. food. here. i bought two fifty count super worms and a 25 count box of meal worms a few days ago and all of the mealies are dead (which means my gecko will not eat them) and most of the supers are dead. total came to $22 so save yourself some money and look for somewhere else to buy reptile food

They have product, but it is expensive. There is always, without fail, an employee that just HAS to give their advice or personal opinion without prompting and is often completely subjective or inaccurate and almost always delivered about as rude as you can get from a customer service standpoint. Really avoid going unless you have to. To any employees, save the advice for veterinarians unless you are asked.

Theres so many types of animals from birds to spiders to fish to lizards to bunnys! We have a bunny and a really exspensive rose breasted cockatoo and i got many parakkets and bearded dragons not to mention camehlions 2. They have great prices and they are a great place to get pet food mice catnip toys beds turtules hermit crab shells and much more.

We love the Claremont pet aquarium.Josh really does a great job with the fish and he's very knowledgeable too!! I'm blown away that they have axlotos right now. We have a couple ourawlfs but haven't ever seen one in a pet store. He recently got them donated to him. Very cool!

Expensive and in my experience very unfriendly. There was one employee that was nice but doesn't seem to listen to what you need, instead pushes what he thinks on you without offering options. ALL the other employees were either rude or just did not help at all. When I say didn't help I mean literally gave me no information,help,or even stepped up to cash me out even though I was the only one there. I don't mind paying more if the people are cool, I'd happily pay extra to a local small business that cares but not if I'm treated rudely or like they couldn't care less about our pets. I find it hard to believe the owner is cool with this but they're not very helpful getting a hold of management either.

Stopped in to the Claremont pet shop today, as we are thinking about getting back into salt water aquariums. After having just visited the Leb store, it was nice to see the saltwater live stock and displays to be in significantly better shape. I was excited to see a frag tank specifically for buying corals. Prices were reasonable, and the frags looked to be healthy and doing well. My only gripe would be it was a bit of a limited selection, but overall would suggest people check it out if they are in the area and looking for a little frag for their tank.
