Here you will be able to see the opinions of real people who consumed the services of Iron Horse Cafe & Pie Shop, Three Forks, Montana (Fish Shop) in Montana.
To this day this business gets a score of 4.4 stars over 5 and the score was based on 286 reviews.
You must have seen that the average score it has is quite good, and it's based on a very large number of opinions, so we can say that the score is quite reliable. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to give evaluations when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Fish Shop is included in the category of American restaurant.
Very good food and sevice!
1 Star is one too many!! This place needs help!!! I went to wash my hands in restroom and was so grossed out by what I saw in the kitchen. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in the last decade! To top it off the booth seat looked like they found it in a garbage dump. Half the cushion missing looked like rats had been taking the stuffing out nibble by nibble. Don’t eat here unless your actually starving to death! Go to the gas station it has better and cleaner facility!
Good small town cafe. Very pleased with ordering the tri-tip sandwich. Great staff & homemade pie.
New owners have brought back a home cooked taste to the food thank you for giving Three Forks a great place to eat..
Perfect little small town cafe. We had lunch here, service, food, and experience was great!!
This is a small town cafe with big taste and super friendly staff, Feels like home! The food is flavorful, the menu has a good variety of choices. Everything that I’ve ordered here as been excellent! But save room for the amazing homemade pies OMGosh the best ever
Nothing fancy. Food good but just had a burger. Just a couple of places in town to eat or stay.
Locally owned and operated.
After travelling in 8 states and 2 Canadian provinces in 15 days our stop in Three Forks and dinner at the Iron Horse was the best meal we had! The pie is awesome!
Good food for a fair price. Friendly people.
Very family friendly, and the food is great.
Come for the food, stay for the pie. This is what an american restaurant should be. Home cooked food, friendly service from a nice "local" waitress. Nothing fancy just reasonably priced lunch with good conversation. Order the freshest pie of the day, you cannot go wrong.
Fabulous local cafe with amazing food and great staff! Had a fun evening here! Great prices too!!!
Always friendly and great service. Love the food
Love the food the service the waitress talks a little funny but love her to
The food was not only well prepared and delicious, the presentation was beautiful. The waitress we had was genuinely friendly. To top things off, the prices were well within "ordinary folks'" budget. Our Friday night experience was definitely 5 stars.
One of those small town gems, that you feel lucky to have come across. Pretty basic menu, with just enough interesting combinationn to give you some variety. Hardy, stick to your bones food with a gourmet twist.
Food always fresh. Fair prices
Fresh food, great friendly service, and HOME MADE PIE! 'Nuff said
They had the best loaded baked potato soup I've ever had here, along with pie and huckleberry ice cream. If you're driving through Montana and need a rest, I would highly recommend stopping here.
Wonderful staff, even better food! A warm and happy environment to enjoy delicious options. The pie is amazing!
Excellent!!!! Very attentive and sweet lady who owns it. We really appreciated everything. The food was outstanding. We will definitely be back!!! Love the patriotism. Very clean!
Clean and comfortable atmosphere....AMAZING food and the perfect price! They even have mimosas!! My husband and I love coming to visit the friendly folks at the Iron Horse Cafe and we always leave happy :)
Crazy good food. Prices cheap for the quality and quantity. Service will make you smile!
The food and service were second to none. This time I had a steak and it was amazing. Kelli makes an amazing Strawberry Pie that is out of this world. Best place to eat in Three Forks.
Fabulous food and amazing people! Hard workers with love for the customers.
The food was delicious and fast. Service was very friendly and personable.
Huckleberry ice cream so good. Rest of dinner was also good.
I stopped by the Ironhorse today and had a great experience. I had the Huevos Rancheros, with homemade beans and delicious fresh salsa. My friend had the biscuits and gravy, also tasty. Great service and good coffee too. We will be back soon.
Just the way you want a small town Montana bar to be:. Beer is cold, whiskey burns, and bartender a fount of local goodness. A boilermaker bar in a leather jacket/carhart town. While your there, don't forget to stop by and show your support for the international Brotherhood of Boilermakers L-D239 who are steadfastly fighting a large, multinational corporation to preserve the Three Forks way of life. Bring 'em some donuts, or some coffee, and show your support on social media.
We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. Very pleased.
Good variety, excellent food and great service!
Great service and food
We loved this quaint cafe in Three Forks. Jane was our server and did a great job with our large family (15) group. Best of all was meeting Jamie Taylor, the owner and baker of their famous pies. My wife had cherry (from Flathead orchards) and I loved every bite of my pistachio cream. All of Jamie’s pies are made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Yummy! I highly recommend this cozy, “homemade” cafe when passing though Three Forks.
I love the energy. They have amazing service and the servers are very kind and very personable. They are on top of things, and the food is amazing. The peach pie is out of this world. Best pie around
Two of us arrived at5:45PM, the cook was a "one man band", over tasked with handling customers, preparing and serving meals. We seated ourselves after JJ yelled out a greeting from the cooking area. 15 mins later, we walked out. He never had the chance to hand us a menu, and still we would have waited but i could see him working. He's handling food, other items, etc, without gloves, wiping his hands on a rag hanging out his jeans back pocket, as needed after dropping a plastic serving cup to the floor.
Service here was amazing friendly and nice. The FOOD was delicious. I'm excited to try our pies we took home! This is a place I will definitely try to make it back to <3
Great food. Fantastic homemade pies. I live pie
What a great little restaurant! We drove in from Bozeman & we are so happy we did! Our food was quick, quality was outstanding & service was amazing! Don't forget to save room for the homemade pies made by the pie lady and also the owner of this awesome establishment. This is a MUST stop location, and even better it is Veteran owned. They serve breakfast on Saturday & Sunday we will be back for breakfast for sure! Worth the drive into Three Forks, and definitely worth not having to wait for a table in Bozeman!
Soooooo good! Highly recommend
Great food at a decent price. Their fried shrimp is the best I've had in years.
Standard fare. Not much flavor in deli cuts or fries. Did not try pies.
Good food but quite pricey.
Love this place! Excellent service, great owners, an amazing Bison burger and some award winning pie!!!
This place is amazing, come to the little town of Three Forks to enjoy some down home cooking. Homemade food that will fill your stomach without emptying your wallet. From salads to shrimp, they got you covered, and not just in gravy. Main street 3Forks come in and have a bite of America.
Had a bison burger and pie both were delicious!
A great cafe with delicious burgers and tasty pies. Wonderful service and ample parking.
Best food ever
What a great find off if I-90. I’m a biscuit and gravy fanatic and theirs was some of the best I’ve ever had. Good sausage was the base and the gravy was light and creamy, not thick and boring. My husband had a breakfast burrito which he also loved. Friendly and efficient service. Hope to pass through here again. Why go to a chain restaurant when excellence is so convenient?
What a nice experience we had stopping for lunch at the Iron Horse Cafe. The wait staff and the owner were so welcoming and our lunch delicious. This is a must stop when in town.
My family and I stopped in this establishment last night. We got a couple of burgers and they were the best we have had in town. We were told by people at the Market and at our hotel to eat here and they were so right! We will most definitely stop in again on the next vacation!
Great spot for a good home-cooked meal. The pies are excellent and the selection always makes it hard to choose just one slice!
My partner, my best friend, and I visited on a Sunday morning when the restaurant was moderately busy. There was a lot tension between us but the waitress was cool about it and agreed to sell us a cinnamon roll as a breakfast appetizer in order to calm us down. My friend did not divide it equally which only made us fight again. A big group had come in before us and the waitress warned us our food would take awhile. We were so busy arguing about the cinnamon roll that we didn't notice that our food came out quickly. Food=tasty. Service=friendly. Us=happy. :)
So pleas d with the food and service.
Excited theres a place that has mimosas and Irish coffee in town! Cozy dinner good pie
Aug 2016: Just an update on our previous review. We've returned at least 4x since June 2016, plus we send all our guests from Camp Three Forks to eat at the Iron Horse Cafe. Food remains great, service is personable and Sunday nite "all you can eat catfish" is wonderful. Prior service issue was resolved. Thanks for a great local eatery! 5-stars!
Went there for breakfast with my family. The service was a bit slow. The food came out over a 10 minute period before everyone had their meal. The food quality was mediocre. The potatoes were bland, unseasoned, and while some were fried to a crisp; others were noticeably undercooked. Two eggs, a side of their potatoes, and a side of biscuits with gravy ran around $10. Fairly high pricing when compared to similar establishments elsewhere. While I support the "buy local" campaign, I find it hard to recommend them.
A little diasspointing. Good service food was just ok
Great food, friendly service, and the best pie for miles around. The special is something new every day, not just something on the regular menu. My favorite is the tri-tip sandwich. But whatever you get, leave room for pie. You won’t regret it.
Excellent meal. Prices very reasonable. Sirloin cooked to order. Marinated chicken breast very tasty. Tuscany soup was excellent. Green salad had no hint of iceberg letuce. We will go back again.
Friendly folks. Good food. Great prices.
Service was great. Food was not! Burgers were raw and order was wrong. Had to wait forever for new ones to be made.
I love this place. Friendly fun environment.
Definitely worth coming from I-90. Amazing food - one of the best Reuben sandwiches I've had in a long time! The staff was also all female (yes!) And owned/operated by a veteran. You won't regret it.
Always good food and friendly service
Great food. Worth the stop.
Delicious little cafe, amazing food & service
Great pies! Good salads
Wonderful little home grown restaurant with fun service, good food, and a country attitude. Great pie too.
Had to have pie on Pi day! Their pie is great.
I recently had lunch there. The staff and owners were very friendly and accommodating. I travel for a large company, and truly the food was excellent and comparable to many large city restuarants but with the home style flavor and atmosphere that is truly Montana. I highly recommend their food and service. It is Montana made and Montana friendly.,....
Great food. Affordable prices. Excellent service.
I want inside to place a to go order. Just chicken strips and a burger for my husband . When o got to the care after a 40 min wait and there was two other couples there our fries were cold. Not just no longer hot but COLD. I put them in the oven when we got home and finished cooking them. The service was nice though. The waitress was very kind. When my husband was getting ready to eat his burger he noices they forgot condiment packages. It was mildly irritating. It was very nice after reading my review the owner and staff reached out trying to make it right. I do love this community because they go the extra mile to make sure everyone has a good experience. My husband and I will be back to give them another shot soon. After all everyone deserves a second chance and everyone makes mistakes sometimes. It spoke wonders to me that they made such a effort to find us and personally reach out. Like I said before wonderful people and greak customer service .
The onion rings we're just right the burger was a little bit dry.
I really love the waitresses and the atmosphere of the Iron Horse. It's a good place to eat and relax.
Awesome food at a great price! Kids were happy, coffee was good, even at 9:00 at night. They even have us some scraps for our dog we are travelling with!! Very friendly staff, and very clean facility. Thank you! -Ray, Kelly, Ryosuke, and Seika Boston
Excellent food, excellent conversation. Friend staff. We had the Bison burgers and homemade pie. Very good food for a little family opened diner
Good food, smaller portions than you typically see anymore, and service is ok.
A great, veteran-owned and operated cafe in one of Montana's best small towns. I love their Reuben and burgers. And the folks who work here are friendly and fast.
Nice staff, small menu but very tasty. Best lunch place in town
Fantastic mom and pop or mom and daughter restaurant. Diner or cafe style. Best service, friendly staff, fantastic food. My wife and I each had the bison burger. Cooked perfectly. Tasty and tender. With fries and tots, there was more than enough food. This didn't keep us from getting dessert. She had blackberry lemon cream pie and I had a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of Huckleberry ice cream. Both were great. We should have asked but wife was expecting a traditional crust, but her pie came with a Graham cracker crust. Guess we'll have to go back for another piece of pie. These are all homemade so it was hard to choose. This is a must stop. Worth a drive if you're not from around here.
Fantastic place for lunch, good prices for large portions. Glad we stopped by!
We stopped in for lunch today and it was the best food we have had for miles! I had a Greek salad and I loved it. Brook was our waitress and she was very nice and took great care of us. There were 5 other tables and 3 more walked in while we were eating. It seemed to be ran by mostly women which my husband and I LOVE!!!! Oh and don't forget the desserts!!!
Lovely place, staff and food!!
For me it is a bit of a drive for breakfast, but it is worth it for their blueberry pancakes!! YUM YUM
The food here was amazing so wasn't the staff! We went here on mother's day, they were very busy but food was still out fast. Food was delicious! We will be back and definitely recommend trying this place out! Oh and fabulous homemade pie!
Poor service, no interaction after meal served. The food was mediocre at best! Waited fifteen minutes for a check and finally stood at the cash register to get it. Will not go back!
The food is good. Not great. It is nice homey feel. It is a little on the pricey side.
Clean, friendly, moderate prices for the amount of food served, good food & portions, easy going atmosphere!!
Super good food, and fresh pies...
This is a great place to eat and a great atmosphere :-) great owner and staff
Really good basic meals.
Just had dinner there, service, quality of food is totally outstanding, would recommend this gem anytime.
The service and food was excellent here. My wife and I had the Patty melt. They are also very patient with allowing the kids to take time to order for themselves. Will definitely return. Not to mention the pie! Oh my it’s amazing!
The best breakfast ever! I can't wait to have lunch and dinner too! Wonderful people great service..by far my favorite place to eat..
Excellent food and friendly service!
Great food, good atmosphere. PIE!
Love this little cafe! Great food. Great service! Homemade pies.
Cozy home-town eatery
Best place in town to eat
Great pies and friendly staff. A lovely little place to stop in.
We love the Iron Horse and Jamie. Amazing food, homemade pies and fabulous service. Definitely recommend this restaurant
Amazing homemade soup and PEACH pie!! Service was fast, friendly and I can tell this place knows how to take care of their customers! On top of that they make wonderful food! We can't wait to come back through as we travel! Thank you for a great meal, a place to cool off, and a great conversation with your server.
Great food. Delicious pies!
We ordered 70 servings of pulled pork and brisket from the Iron Horse Cafe for an event we held at the Missouri River State Park this June. It was very easy to email with the Cafe's staff to make this order, the food was ready and hot when we picked it up and it was delicious! I'm glad we ordered more servings than we had people because lots of folks went back for seconds.
Good food, service was ok.
The older I get, the pickier I get when dining at a restaurant. After a trip from Dillon to Belgrade for a Dr. appt. , we stopped here for lunch. Everything is fresh, no brown witty lettuce, only crispy spring mix with candied pecans and house made dressing. I had soup with that, cheese burger soup, homemade and delicious. Hubby had a Dagwood sandwich that was huge. The bread was obviously made that day. There was lots of meat, cheese and crispy bacon on it, plus fries from real potatoes, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, outstanding! The bourbon pecan pie was delightful down to the buttery, flaky crust. Service was friendly even when the power went out. Not a grouchy word from anyone, they just pitched in to help each other. All that plus iced tea plus tip for under 30$. Can’t wait for my next Dr. appt.!
Nice place, great food (Bacon, green apple and provolone grilled on Texas toast) and friendly staff. I hear the fresh pie is out of this world.
Cinimon roll french toast out of this world if you have a serious sweet tooth...
Excellent little breakfast stop! Portions are gigantic...could have shared! I had the chicken fried steak and was not disappointed!
The best service and amazing food I would recommend this place to anyone. I loved it!!!
BEST. PIE. EVER! Great service, food is always super tasty, friendly staff! Veteran owned, support your local business!
Excellent food great service fast and good people all the way great prices to
Love this restaurant. The new owner is doing a fantastic job - Always willing to accommodate special orders! The waitresses are super friendly! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone coming to town
Nice little cafe with good food and good looking pie. Didn't have any though.
Love the gluten free choices!!
Amazing Fish and Chips!!
Great food! Great service! Great people! Great pie!!!! Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great little restaurant. Wonderfully fresh food and delicious pies made daily. This place was recommended by a fellow airline traveler and we were so glad we stopped. Jane is an amazing waitress, on of the best we've ever had. If we are in the area again, we will return!
Cute & clean establishment. Excellent food and service!!
We had a very large order but they had it out quickly and it tasted great the waitress was also very nice.
Delicious sandwiches and good value for the sizes + sides. The maple balsamic vinaigrette on my side salad was lovely. Friendly staff. Delicious peach and raspberry, and lemon and blueberry slices of pie!
Nice place to eat. The people there were very very nice. Food was great. The only complaint I have is the pie. I was charged $4.50 for a 1/4 inch lemon pie.
Very good food and friendly service. Nice sized servings and reasonably priced.
Friendly cafe dining, Reuben sandwich was excellent, fries were hot, salad beautiful and tasty, ice cream very good as well
Delicious food and awesome service !!!
Unfortunately, this cafe is 750 miles from where I live, otherwise I'd be there more often. Had a great dinner on September 20th, Friday night and a terrific breakfast the following morning. The wait staff was extremely friendly, attentive and all had a great sense of humor highlighted by the ever presence of The Roadrunner busser. The only downer was the restriction of flushing animals down their old plumbing system.:(
Great place to eat! Super friendly staff! Only place in town with gluten free options. The pie here is to die for... and I am pretty sure I could live on the fries! BEST fries ever!
Absolutely amazing food!! Tasted very homemade.
Staff is great. Food was pretty good.
Horribly over priced. Fifteen dollars for a 4 oz. cup of soup, a white bread grilled cheese sandwich and a Coke. Good service, friendly waitress.
We came in on a Sunday afternoon after not coming in for about 9 months. We thought we would give it a try after some friends suggested we try it again with the new management. The new owners have done a great job with the restaurant, food is amazing, decorations are fun, and Pie is TRULY amazing! Thank you for a wonderful meal, pie and we should have come back sooner!
Such an adorable little coffee shop and great coffee!
Came in last weekend, had a steak and some dessert. The peach crisp was amazing and the steak was cooked just how I like it, the baked potatoes was good and the veggies were cooked perfect. Waitress was attentive but also gave me my space. I didnt feel rushed to eat and leave like some places are.
We absolutely loved this place! We were looking for an "unknown" for dinner after shopping. Found this gem on Google. Anyway, Melanie greeted us as soon as we walked in. The girls had milkshakes that I suspect had homemade whip cream on top. (The flavors change daily). The rest of our meal, which consisted of a tri-tip sandwich, chicken strips and shrimp was also very good. Now to the pie....wow! These are fresh homemade, daily. We had banana cream. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll ever be able to eat another of those anywhere else, it was that good. We've decided this will be our meal stop when shopping from now on.
Wonderful food that is fresh and Shawna was the best. Came back for their ice cream and coffee after walking main street
They try hard, but they should push to fix problems instead of just asking if they should. Meat was severely undercooked but portions are HUGE.
This is a great local diner. We ate breakfast here over the Memorial Day weekend. This place is Veteran Owned which means a lot to me. They have an extensive menu and you can get anything you would want for breakfast. My kids loved the smiley face pancakes and my daughter ate more than I have ever seen her eat before. I look forward to returning when I get the chance and getting one of the homemade pies!
Welllll, I ordered to go and when I got there my receipt reflected what I ordered exactly. But when I checked my order multiple things were missing and the milk shakes($6.00 each) were only half full. They corrected my order, but it took quite a while. I did end up with extra milk shake! The strawberry one was really good!
Gross! Hair in our biscuits and gravy... not to mention a rude waitress. DON’T BOTHER STOPPING HERE!
Family owned business. Great food and known for their pies.
One of my favorite lunch spots. Very friendly staff!
Really great
We go for the bison & stay for the pie!!!!!! Staff is always smiling!!
Real nice place to sit down to home cooked meal kn conversation and warmth. Veteran owned business that gives back to veterans. BTW, you gotta have a slice of pie. Soooooo goood. We'll be back. See you there.
Nice staff, alright food.
Great food and very personable and responsive staff
DELICIOUS. Make sure you try all the pie. You won’t regret it!
