Everyone at Gateway Aquatics is very patient and extremely helpful. There you get fair prices and great knowlege. They are not trying to sell you just educate you. I have been to all of the saltwater stores in the Saint Louis area and spent time in each and every one! The Staff and selection at Gateway Aquatics is by far the best in the area. If they don't have it they will get it! Check them out before investing your money elsewhere.

Midwest Pet Wholesale

Gotta say I love the owner of this store Chad. He is very personable and willing to talk about anything. Chad gives great advice and has operated Gateway aquatics for many years so is not a fly by night type of shop. Out of all the stores Midwest Pet Wholesale went to this week trying to get new wholesale customers chads was the most stocked on dry goods. I was amazed to be honest. Prices are reasonable, and they truly do care about sharing their knowledge about Saltwater Aquarium Hobby!

My husband and I built our 1st pond out of the rock that was in our backyard when we poured our patio. After 10 years it was showing signs that it needed to be redone. Chad came out to see just what needed to be taken away 'n what needed to be added and pulled together thee most amazing team who reconstructed my pond to epic proportions! With the guidance and creativity of Matt, Ron and DJ assisted him in building a stunningly beautiful and zen like pond with 2 spill ways that look like they are right out of the Teton Mountains in Wyoming. Thank you guys for your amazing work and nuggets of knowledge on how to keep my Koi healthy, happy, and my pond looking beautiful!

Will never spend another dollar here. Went in to ask a few questions about a new tank setup and to purchase equipment. The manager Dave stood there scrolling on his phone the whole time. He looked up once to repeat my question then went right back to his phone. I understand loosing one customer that doesn't spend that much on top notch equipment is no skin off your back. Thanks for nothing Dave, and thank you for sending me to the corner reef, very helpful employees there. PEOPLE READING THIS NEED TO CHECK OUT THE CORNER REEF, it's by South county home depot.

I visited this store a few days ago and this is by far my new favorite fish store in the Saint Louis area. They have great customer service, a nice, large selection of fish (fresh and saltwater), and healthy looking stock. If you're serious about fish and live in Saint Louis, this place is worth the drive!

By far the best place to go for anything aquatic. Freshwater, saltwater, and ponds. These guys are awesome and always friendly. They have tons of knowledge on it also. Having trouble. They will steer you in the right direction. I love buying my fish from them also because they are always good eaters and healthy. Stores like petsmart and pet supplies take the easy way out and will feed ur cichlids minnows. These guys get their fish on mixed diets so your not stuck buying minnows for a fish everyday.

They are very descriptive with their livestock and very helpful when it comes to tips. Would highly recommend this store to people who would want better kept livestock to fill up their tank. Their sales are also incredible. You couldn't find a better deal anywhere else. They even buy your fish that you don't want, they'll buy it for half of what they sale and you can use that upon store credits. This place is awesome!

I was disappointed with the set up of the store and the quality and quantity compared to 4 years ago when I bought my nano tank from them. Did not get help from the people working there either, was ignored. Completely diffeerent from before. Dont think i would go back. Very upsetting experience. Missed the guys who used to be there
