Fried Green Tomatoes and pantrout. This place should be on everyone's bucket list of great fish to try before you die. You can taste the live put into preparing your meal. The pantrout smell will be in your car for days but it tastes so divine all it'll do is make the passengers hungry and want some.

Small place but good fish! Not really anywhere to sit and dine in. Usually I order the pantrout and catfish sandwiches. Sometimes the hushpuppies and okra. Either way, I've never had a bad experience. On the other hand, they can get a bit busy and the wait time can be very long! Call ahead on weekends!!!!

Waited about an hour for food that was okay at best. Salad consisted of lettuce and two packs of salad dressing. Its okay to try it out, but not sure if i will be returning anytime soon.

If you like a old-school vibes this is a place to try one of the oldest restaurant in Jackson that's still open they have really good fish and at a decent price one plate I would suggest is their pantrout it's really good also the fish are whole fish not filets so keep that in mind overall you can't go wrong with valley fish house

Old looking building right on the outskirts of JSU that has love in every piece of fish that is fried. Service is great. The owner is a overall nice person that has created one of the best light and airy fish fry recipes around town. Don't let the area fool you.
