Small restaurant that is like gradma cooking for Sunday dinner. You're gonna have to be a little patient because everything is cooked fresh. I have been there with only myself and my wife are the only ones there. I've been there when it was packed with and a group of 4. The wait time was almost the same. Great home cooking takes time. Everything is worth the wait. The food: the most expensive dish is around $13. The menu is fairly small compared to your chain restaurants, but still has plenty of variety. The portions are enough to feed an average person 3 times. And someone that can make chicken tenders or bread delicious, you know that everything they make will have the same effort jnto them.

As you walk in, the first thing you notice is the blues music playing throughout the small dining area. The place is small and somewhat cozy. We ordered the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer - YUMBO! I ordered the shrimp and grits and they were better than the shrimp & grits I had in Charleston, S.C. at Magnolia's (which was 3 x more expensive). My wife ordered the bone-in catfish with turnip greens and french fries for her sides. The food is really, REALLY good! To top dinner off we split a peach cobbler with ice cream, which was served up in a plastic margarita glass, and it was FANTASTIC! Keep doing what you're doing and we'll be back!

The food is really good if your looking for good old fashioned flavor. The atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable. Depending on what time you go, you might expect to wait...food is that good and they are busy at certain times of the day.

My food was delicious! For starters, I ordered the fried green tomatoes, my entree was the pan trout plate and it was delish! The decor and ambience is nostalgic and the blues playing adds to an ultimate experience! YOU have to go!

Beautiful "dive" feel. Even the old guy up front on the bench cracked me up. Loved the blues selection. Unfortunately the food which was billed as "fresh and delicious" was neither. Took forever to get cheese dip (never really viewed it as soul food.) My fish plate came out quickly. The Mac and Cheese was definitely boxed. My fries were frozen. The "Soul" Italian Garlic bread was frozen. There is no way in the world you could convince me the fish was fresh either. This Place is more like a building in the middle of the country disguised as an old Soul Food Dive which serves fast food. Really hate it.

The food is amazing! The best down home southern food around. They treat you like family and the atmosphere is laid back with the blues playing in the background. We will not eat anywhere else in Columbus.

My sister introduced me to this spot and it’s been on my OUTSTANDING fish radar since then. The catfish, fried green tomatoes, and pasta dish is awesome! It has great serving portions at a reasonable cost.

Wonderful southern food! I got the blackened catfish. Nice big filet. Very delicious! Everyone in my group raved over their food. The shrimp, chicken tenders, sides, everything was super! Southern atmosphere, southern tea.....I would definitely go again!
