Have always wanted to try this place and it is soooooo gooood! I got the poutine burger and it was so amazing. My husband got the herb Turkey sandwich and he really enjoyed it, and the kids loved the cheese curds and there nuggets. I wish there was a little more seating as we live too far away to get it to go, but we're able to squeeze in. Will definitely be back!

The Meet Market is a very good sandwhich and BBQ shop located just outside of downtown White Bear Lake and about one block from the lake. We usually get our food as take-out, but there is a small dining area with 1- and 2-seat high-top tables. The parking lot is on the small side, but easily accessible from Hwy 61. They do have beer on tap as well and a small selection of draft beer. The beer choices they usually have available are excellent, though. Their sandwiches and soup are excellent as well. I'd highly recommend you give them a try.

I've had a handful of the burgers, and they're all amazing. The fries and tots are equally delicious. 11/10. Bravo.

I work in marketing so I hate when people write emotional reviews and do their best to destroy a business. So, here's why I gave the Meet Market a 4 instead of 5. We came in on a Friday at lunchtime and it was quite busy. We ordered at 12:15, paid at 12:22, and at 12:46 we still had no food. When we asked the clerk, she had no record of our order. Very frustrating at the time. The clerk apologize immediately and gave us fries to mediate the situation. The food came a few minutes later and it was phenomenal. The clerk even gave us a wonderful desert to help the situation. All in all, had they not lost our order, this review would be a 5. Things happen when running a restaurant. They were busy, mistakes happen, and the true sign of a well run restaurant is they mediated the situation. Impressive!

The food was way overpriced, way too much meat, my sons burger was like charcoal and half my family had upset stomachs within two hours of eating. It was our first time eating there, so we didn't know quite what to expect. Cheese curds and pulled pork on the same sandwich looked good on the menu, but it turned out to be a lot to handle.

Food was good. The place only seats about 20. Staff was friendly. However, you place your order at the counter, when you pay with a card he turns the screen for you to sign. On that you MUST tip or the transaction isn't complete. Plus a tip jar! That's just plain wrong. Probably won't be back

So I don't eat here regularly, but things seem to be sliding. Cuban still good, when you get pickles, the beet salad is gone, they now have provolone sauce on the Philly (if i wanted cheese sauce I'd go with the Whiz), and in general the menu seems uninspired and more Sysco generic. Still don't understand the poutine with fried cheese curds and creamy gravy. I'd love to see some fresh, local specials with that Acqua magic and real Quebec poutine.

Best Cuban I've had, period. Ridiculously juicy pork, fresh pickles and mustard, and the perfect bread to soak it all up and add a nice flaky crunch. Mac n Cheese Burger, Pulled Pork Sandwich, Italian, all top notch and leagues ahead of any place around. Too it all off with some tasty super local beer from Big Wood Brewery on tap and you can't go wrong!

Ate here twice now. First time I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with tots. The sandwich was decently priced with a ton of meat that was moist. The tots were crispy outside with a soft core of potato goodness inside. Second time I bought the seasonal burger which was the Fall Harvest burger. That consisted of roasted garlic aioli, gruyere cheese, black pepper thick cut bacon, crispy onion tangles and roasted apple. It was a perfectly balanced burger between sweet and savory!!! My only complaint would be that the burger meat be a little more savory. But it rivals for best burger in the north in my book! Need credentials? Best burgers are Parlour bar in DT minneapolis, Nook St.. Paul, Lions Tap south, and Red Cow double barrel burger

After our friends raving about Meet Market on Facebook, we were traveling home from our spring break road trip and since we were near White Bear Lake had to finish the weekend with an amazing meal, and being a big supporters of local dives decided to try it for the first time. We all shared the Boneless Wings ($8.00) were essentially chicken bites drizzled in their boneless sauce and served with ranch. Much better than the big local chain!! Our youngest had the Kids Meal w Grilled Cheese & Fries + Soda ($6.00) and he was very happy (and didnt try to steal any of the fries I had to bring home so I knew he was full) We also got the Cowboy Burger ($11.50) - a stacked Bacon, Cheddar, Onion Ring, BBQ Sauce burger (with Jalapenos!) that my middle son devoured. Our oldest got the Poutine Burger ($11.50), which is Pulled Pork, Cheese Curds, French Fries, Onion-Bacon Gravy. As a growing 15 year old he crushed it. My wife and I each got the monthly special: the MARKET CALI ($12.50) - a spectacular 7oz Grilled Angus Patty, American Cheese, Deep Fried Avocado, Sweet Habanero Bacon, Housemade Pickles, LTO, Garlic Mayo on Grilled Honey Brioche Bun. I could not fit it in my large mouth with it being so big and the size lended to me taking half my fries home. My wife also got the amazing Siracha Tots ($1.50), which were absolutely AMAZING and served with a lemon aioli, and us other 3 boys got a Side Fry ($1.50) A Coke Self service foutain with 6 options provides us each a Soda ($1.75 ea.) to wash down the delicious burgers It definitely won't be our last visit and really enjoyed this food, the vibe, the staff, and the experience.

I was driving by and stopped in for a quick bite. I ordered the special. A bloody mary burger. It was fantastic, awesome, wonderful. I am sad to say that this may have beaten my last nook burger. The burger patty was perfet, carmalized and tender. The toppings were fresh and handmade in house. I could tell that they made these pickles. The bun was fresh. The bacon was peppered and amazing. I can't wait for you to come here and try this burger. I hope this special is still here when you visit because it was worth the drive here.

Updating since I go here all the time - this place is fantastic. Burgers, sandwiches, good selection of apps, small tap beer selection. You can tell the ingredients are high quality. I've yet to try anything on the menu that I didnt find absolutely delicious. The Nashville chicken sandwich is pretty spicy, but still tastes great. The other night we ordered takeout fairly close to closing time, the employees were prompt and friendly despite having to clean the grill again. I appreciate the customer service, always very friendly and they tell you to have a nice day when you leave whether or not you're looking at them.

Stopped here to check it out since I enjoyed Acqua so much. Turned out to be pretty good. Great quality food. It's fast. Just enough seating for a quick stop. Not a place I would hang out much past eating though. Had a beer and the Philly. It was massive and delicious, I could only eat half of it. My wife ordered a burger which looked amazing. Also gigantic. The special flavor tots rotate. They had jerk tots that were fantastic. All in all this is a great place for a quick bite. It's a little on the spendy side, but not so much that I wouldn't go there again.

We waited 25 minutes. The place was pretty slow. 2 sets of people that came in after us and ordered to go got their food and left long before we got our food. When we finally got our food, the order was wrong. Instead of waiting another 25 minutes while my husband's food got cold for mine to be fixed, we asked for a refund. The guy told us the people eho got their food after us phoned in their order. We literally watched them order at the counter and leave 10 minutes after they came in. This definitely wasn't a case of "they called in their orders." We watched another group of people sitting at the counter before we got there get only half of their food and have to wait over 10 minutes for the other half. The guy bringing the orders out to people triple checking who it was going to because the entire staff had no idea who ordered what. The one in charge told us it was because he had a new guy on the grill, and told us he wished there was something he could do for us with no sincerity whatsoever. They had a sign up stating they were under new ownership. We got there at around 9pm and literally didn't leave until 9:40 with no food. He said he could keep the food we got, but it didn't do me any good as I ordered gluten free due to an allergy and was given a gluten sandwich. I couldn't eat it. They also didn't figure it out until after giving us the food. They all questioned each other wondering out loud if they gave me the right sandwich before asking me to open it and check. Thanks, guys. You could have double checked before you even handed it to me. We thankfully got a refund at least, and now 40+ minutes later are finally looking for something else to eat. I don't know if it's the change in ownership as this place has multiple glowing reviews on google, but I definitely won't be stepping foot in here again. I can only imagine how much more of a joke this place is when it's actually busy.

Amazing.. I'm truly obsessed, great prices for truly delicious sandwiches & sides... a gourmet twist is added to every sandwich & side with only the best quality of ingredients. Currently the Rueben has me coming back almost every week, they pile it high with no fatty gross meat like you get at most places. Also great consistency to the quality & taste of their food...not to mention the amazing staff, prompt, helpful and aiming to please the customer. The food is ready within 10-15 min when they're at their busiest, great atmosphere, love the Pink Floyd "if you don't eat your meat than you can't have any pudding" quote they have on the menu, & the kick a** picture of Sir Charles Bronson in his finest cowboy hat. Great place to eat 5 starts all around. I'd love to here everyday if I could- recommended to all my friends & family!!! Eat here & you will be waiting for your next fix of the Meet Market... :)

The best place to eat in White Bear Lake. The Meet Market has some of the best food I have eaten at very reasonable prices for the portion sizes, the beer is actually under priced. If you are looking for nightclub seating and McDonald's dollar menu prices this might not be the place for you. I actually love the food here but service is where they fall short. I had a carry-out order for 4 sandwiches and some sides. When I got home and opened up the bag, to my disappointment there were only 3 sandwiches in the bag. I tried calling but went to voicemail. Cowboy burger was piled with onion rings, BBQ sauce, and jalapeños. Good size and satisfying. Appetizers of fried assortment (cheese curds, fried pickles, corn fritters, etc.) was typical (probably frozen) crunchy fare with a solid house made ranch. Friendly service, take out order served in adequate time. Good fast food option if you're in the area, but don't go out of your way for it.

We had the Philly Cheesesteak and BBQ Pulled Pork with fries and tots. They were both super good. I thought the fries were better than the tots as the tots weren't seasoned at all. The meat was really tender and everything tasted fresh. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. It's cafateria style with generous food portions. They serve beer, wine, and White Claws. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a new place to try.

I had a tasty BLAT, but it came with absolutely nothing for $9, which is really high cost for a simple sandwhich. The kids cheeseburger was charred black, but they ate it anyway so it must have tasted good. French fries were nothing special. Good price on kids meal though with a side and a drink for $7.

Just a small little spot on the end of a strip mall with not much seating (which is fine) and looking more like a "to-go" place. The Philly hear is made with sirloin tips, onions and your choice of provolone or whiz. I went with the provolone (whiz scares me), but it couldn't have been any worse than what I received. The provolone was some kind of pasty looking cheese with no flavor, the meat had no flavor (salt and pepper goes a long way and not just a quick - single shake). The prices here are also very high for what you're receiving and for small town like White Bear Lake... It was not disgusting, but I wouldn't go out of my way to try it again. Hey, they're not in last place on my Philly challenge! :) Tried a wing as well and it's a no frills, straight forward wing with Franks Red Hot. Nothing really exciting... #knowbeforeyougo

I wish I could give this place six stars. I was very pleased with my experience. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, but I don't remember the name on the menu. It had a kick but was still enjoyable. My family got a burger and pulled pork and they looked great too. It was easy to find and very cozy. Not spacious or fancy but clean and everyone was really polite. At first glance, the prices may seem a bit high but the overall food quality makes it worthwhile. The BBQ pork sandwich is my go-to sandwich but nothing I've tried has been disappointing. I'm keeping the cheesesteak on my radar, as I've heard good things about it from other customers. Service is always very friendly and reasonably fast. Seating is very limited so carryout or off-peak dining is recommended.

We've been here 3 times and the first two times the wait seemed unreasonably long - but the location was relatively new, so we thought maybe they were just getting into the routine of things. We waited a while and tried again... another bad experience. To avoid a wait I called an hour ahead to place an order for 5 people to be picked up at a specific time. When my husband stopped to get the food he had to wait an additional 20 minutes, then to make things worse when he arrived home they had forgotten part of the order. He called and they apologized for the wait and offered a $10 card for future use, plus desserts if he came back to receive the missing sandwich. They did give him the card, but no desserts. I'd rather they had comped the sandwich and refunded for it since it had been sitting out forgotten on the first trip. By the time we all got to eat the food was lukewarm. Potentially good food, but unlikely we'll be back.

I am giving it a soft 4... The Ruben and the Rachel were a little dry, not bad but dry. The lobster bisque was ok but they forgot my tots!... I didn't call or let them know directly but I absolutely assume they would have made good on it if I had. Despite this it really was good and I will be back. I have been to the foret lake location a few times with no complaints. Just saying...

A bit expensive for a sandwich place, but definitely worth the price. Really high quality ingredients and good ratios of ingredients in a sandwich. Sandwiches are big enough that you don't need a side, or you could split a sandwich/side with someone for a quick bite.

One of the best in WBL. Food is great, portion size even better. Hard to beat. Edit Sept 2019: I am changing my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. Ownership change has resulted in noticeably smaller portions and, in my opinion, the use of cheaper breads and ingredients, which has impacted the quality, as well. It’s still good, but not 5-star worthy anymore. Edit again Oct 2019: back to 5 star. Seems to be back to the same breads/ingredients/portions as before. Maybe an off day before.

First time, and probably the last time. Stopped in for a late lunch. The food was nothing special. As a matter of fact, the same meal at Arby's is better, not to mention cheaper. You order and pay at a counter, just like Arby's, but unlike Arby's, they want a tip before you have received any service. In addition, you could suffer a hearing loss while eating here. Not the worst music I've been subjected to, but WAY TOO LOUD! I advised the waitress that it should be turned down. Instead, it was turned up. As long as the staff is enjoying themselves I guess that's all the matters. Save money and your hearing and go elsewhere. I certainly will.

I stopped here because i saw the special MARKET CLUB. Turkey, ham, bacon and a lot more stuff, i have to say it was fricking delicious. I even got one to go. I MEAN GREAT SANDWICHES, BEER AND A GREAT PLACE WITH NICE PEOPLE WORKING. LOVED IT!!!! Tom the cashier was really nice and kind. Am always gana stop here my favorite place from now on.

Food was amazing I had the cuban with a side of fries the sandwich was huge and filled with pulled pork and ham. I thought the price was slightly on the higher side untill I got the sandwich and realized it was a deal for all the food you were getting. Bread was awesome, pork and ham were cooked just how you would want them. And just the right amount of mustard and pickles. I will be back for sure.

True Myth

I've loved almost every sandwich I've had here (the pulled pork was too sweet for my taste). They are super friendly, but I do wish the seating was better. The stools are quite uncomfortable. But the wild rice soup is soooo good I can't give this any less than 4 stars.
