Everything is great, just one suggestion, can you mark out the waiting line please!!!!!!!!! There are a few times that I have to wait for a long time to get served, even though I got there before most the people. Although you asked “I’ll help whoever comes next”, you just went directly to one person and never looked around, there’s one time that the two other customers helped me to get your attention that I should be served next.

First time in, and everything was great. I was looking for a whole fish to fillet and cook, and they had a selection of very fresh catches (the eyes were not glazed over--a telltale sign the fish is getting old). The folks behind the counter were enthusiastic about my mission to re-learn how to fillet a fish and offered some helpful tips. After prepping and cooking, the fish was melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

Great selection, fast and friendly staff. They have everything you could possibly want. They had at least 10 sashimi grade varieties the day that I went. It is a small store but they get folks taken care of quickly so it's not too crowded, even if it's busy. They also have a good selection of various condiments and related goodies for whatever reason you're getting the fish.

A couple of weeks ago, there was a 20% discount for those of us +55. It was my 1st time shopping at Coastal. Wanted to purchase Halabit. While checking out, the clerk made a with attitude comment when I asked for the discount, like " ya, everybody is a senior today". I paid and left. Looked at my receipt days later to see that there was no discount applied. Went back to get money back, it was substancial. Was told that the items I purchased we're already on sale that day and no extra discounts would apply. No one said to me that what I was buying was already on sale, evidently if the item has a red tag stuck in it, that means it is on sale. The fish was delicious, way to expensive and terrible customer service. Won't go back

The absolute best seafood in town, not the cheapest, but it is decently priced and the highest quality in town. It is the only place I will buy seafood for raw consumption in any form. The quality is perfect. I have never been disappointed ever! I also come across varieties of seafood that I have never seen anywhere else. This should be on your must try list. Sometimes the variety is not so good towards closing time, but if you don't see what you want, ask. They often have more than what is in the display case. Try this place and you won't be disappointed.

The only place many restaraunts will source their seafood from. Treat their staff well, which means customers are treated well. They'll take the time to really talk with you about your seafood, sharing a wealth of knowledge from how the product is sourced to how to cook it. The fish arrive arrive by air at 4am every morning, are processed across the street from the shop and are on the shelf by 10. Locally owned and operated. They have something on special every day of the week. If you can, try the Atlantic Salmon. It's sushi grade, and melts like butter in your mouth.

This is the best place to get your seafood in the Twin Cities! They have a great assortment, decent prices, and helpful staff. Located in a bit of a congested area of Minneapolis, I am thankful for the small parking lot they offer. (A big plus for the anti-parallel parkers venturing in from the suburbs.) They also have an array of unique sweet treats, sauces, spices, and condiments to add on to your fresh fish purchase.

By far the best place to buy seafood in the state of MN (I’ve lived in many cities). Always super fresh, very high quality fish, and they also have other specialty meats like duck breast. Very knowledgeable staff so feel free to ask questions and get recommendations. They have daily specials (my favorite is 20% off salmon on Thursdays), and weekend specials that change every week. Often they feature things like wild salmon and other seasonal items. If I ever move out of the metro area, I will be so sad not to have Coastal nearby!

I have picked up Bristol Bay Crab legs for as long as Coastal carried them and since new ownership, I have never felt comfortable in the store. They have a special on Wednesdays for Crab and I called to place a large order late in the day for the weekend and they refused to take the order to keep it for Friday. No where on their website does it say anything about that. I used to recommend them to everyone. Now they will hear nothing but the disappointment that Annie the manager said they do it for any day but Wednesday. You just lost a very good and loyal customer

There's nothing fishy about this market! Coastal Seafood is a cute little shop selling a dazzling array of fresh fish and select other meats. They also have other stuff too, including sushi ingredients, cheeses, and various and sundry accoutrements. They even have a little candy basket for children, how cute! A fun little shop that has a great selection at reasonable prices, with great staff.

I had an issue with a purchase I made(nothing to do with quality!) and called in on a busy Mother's Day. Deanna answered the phone and was SO friendly and understanding. I love this place. They don't take reservations and you'll have to line up, but even the view of the bridge is stunning. MN. has some of the best and freshest seafood in the city and it's not too fancy inside - perfect for a casual date but not too boujie. We ordered the Stuffed Clams, Chowder, Grilled Cheese Sandwich, oysters and their Rustic Seafood Stew (not all shown in photo since we ate before I took the photo). Everything was delicious, flavourful and so fresh. Really enjoyed my meal here and would come back!

The staff here are so helpful and knowledgeable about every product they carry. If you love ANY type of seafood, this should be the ONLY place you get it from. Everything in their coolers is brought in fresh daily so you always know you are only getting the best quality fish. We love coming in on Mondays when their shrimp is 20% off. Put it on the grill with some rice or Asian inspired noodles for a flavorful dish. They also do cooking classes and am looking forward to going to one of those in the very near future.

I bought some sushi grade Ahi Tuna, and sushi grade whole Spanish mackerel. The tuna was amazing and fresh, zero fishy taste. The mackerel was fresh looking and tasting, I made ceviche with half and the other half I used for sashimi. Both were perfect. I will be shopping here whenever I want to buy sushi grade fish.
