OMG!!! I ordered 1lb of clams, 1 lb of smelt, a cod platter, and poppers. Cod was under cooked and cold, smelt and clams were overcooked and cold, poppers were ok. The smelt and clams were like eating a rubberized dehydrated terd!!! Very unhappy and don't understand how it can be cold when I live 10 minutes away.

Decent fried fish for the grand rapids Northeast side. Good selection and prepared properly. They have fresh Oysters too. The inside could use a good cleaning and would definitely benefit from a couple gallons of paint but Looks aren't generally a priority when your getting take out.

I have rated both places as there seems to be two locations for this place. I assume you can buy uncooked fish here as well, but I usually have it fried before I leave. The staff is friendly and the food excellent, would recommend if you're looking for some fried food. Try the excellent crab cakes!

Great for fried seafood to go. The perch was slightly overcooked, but still pretty delicious. They have several seasonings to choose from for your fish as well.

The catfish was excellent! Surprised and not in a good way about the lake perch and how it was by far worse than the catfish! Food not nearly seasoned enough & was VERY disappointed that we drove an hour for overcooked greasy butterfly shrimp & how the baskets were clearly different. My husband and I ordered the same shrimp basket I received 5 shrimp to his 10 to be bland & priced the same. I've been to fish markets in Lansing that will put this one out of business. Won't be going back! Not worth the drive!!

Have been there before not sure if they changed their batter or cooked our fish 5 times as long but you couldn't pay me to eat there again. Onion rings were burnt and tarter sauce is horrible

Been going here for year. First fish market I found after moving to GR in the 80s. Things have changed some after Jim sold it to retire. Many thing remained the same. You need to try this if you have never been there before.

My experience here was GREAT! I called ahead To make sure I could get what I was looking for and I got the best information. I then called the next day before I was going to pick up what I needed and they had it all ready for me when I got there, quick and simple! The guy I spoke with was so nice and friendly. I will definitely be going back for all my seafood needs! I got three pounds of pre-cooked crawfish for a boil and it tasted delicious and was perfect! Thanks again! Keep up the good business!!

Terrible. The ownership has changed do not expect what you are used to getting. The lake perch are not lake perch. The fish is very rubbery and tasteless.

Excellent food! I had the okra and the clams and they were both cooked perfectly. Some places the breading is too soggy or falls off the okra but here they were super crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. Definitely will be back.
