I came in to this location seeking a remedy for my service dogs sudden bleeding UTI on a Sunday. On Sunday the vet is not open and so I previously checked the website of several stores before I ventured out into 101° heat (literally) but my vehicle still overheated on the way there. I had my service dog with me and I was already extremely upset over my bad luck and my SDs condition. I was hoping to find her the relief I seeked from this store as it said on the website they had in stock. The stores website showed several products that could offer relief along with a type of OTC antibiotic. When I got there, I found nothing. Not even cranberry chews. I had three people approach me trying to look for my product... Why does it take three people to look on shelves where I've already looked? Why do they not know what they don't have in stock? I'm not a vet but I am a nurse and I can understand all the basics of health-care. I also know how to use Google in good judgement. So when these ladies determined that they didn't have any of the products I needed I did not need one lady to say to me that I need to take her to a vet. I KNOW THAT! HER VET IS CLOSED!! I also did not need the other lady to chime in "she'll die if she doesn't get an antibiotic"!! I had to leave before I caught a charge. If the customer doesn't ask for your services or opinions don't go flapping them in the customers faces. Btw, my furbaby is doing well, I administered my own antibiotic when I got home and she was back to her self by the end of the next day.

This store is my primary supplier of dog food, cat food, cat litter, toys and filters for electric water dish. They always have plenty of whatever I am after. I've never been told they were out of anything. The employees know the store and the products. Friendly and will open more registers quickly if the line starts to back up which almost never happens. I really like this location. They also offer bath area for your dogs though I cannot comment on it as I have not used it.

Ordered Chinese Water Dragon earlier this year. They were nice about order. When we picked it up the male employee used a net kept trying to catch it. He appeared afraid of it. When we got home the tail was broke, a foot was broke. It died 2 weeks later. I spoke with an employee the day after getting it and no support of return or reorder offered. This was sad.

The staff here is always friendly, with excellent knowledge and recommendations. I can't talk highly enough of the manager there. She always has a smile and takes care of all the pets with a treat on the way out the door. The absolute best thing about this place is their self service dog wash. Our dog absolutely will not do the bath tub but he's grown to tolerate a wash here. Plus there's no real clean up! You wash and dry your pet and they take care of the rest. I would definitely buy here over any big box pet supply store.

So far so good! I am nearly always greeted right away and the staff are mostly helpful. There is a particular gentleman and gal there which are helpful when it comes to the fish, invertebrates and African dwarf frogs and I have purchased a few from this store over the last month or so. I will note that I've had some casualties but the staff were willing to help out and make things right when deaths occurred within the 14 day guarantee. I have had an instance where I've lost a couple outside of this period as well although the reasoning was unclear (water parameters in check and pH matched stores, quarantined over 2 weeks). So note: As always, you should quarantine no matter where you get your fish from. Overall though, it's nice to have a "local ish" store where people recognize you. We intend to continue to shop here for the foreseeable future.

This PSP saved the day! My wife and I were traveling from Chicago to the Outer Banks by car. When we got to our half-way stopping point, we realized that we had forgotten the bag of dog food at home. Our dogs have special snowflake stomachs and can't handle grocery store food without a bad ending for all of us. This PSP was near our hotel and had our brand of food! The cashier was very nice and had us in and out in a few minutes, and our hungry pups were super grateful.

Ever since this store opened up in our area, we switched over from PetCo and haven't looked back. They pack a lot of great variety into this smaller boutique style pet shop without compromising on prices. They have lots of great deals, friendly personal staff, and always fun smaller animals to enjoy or take home. We have bought several hamsters here and have loved them all. Pet Supplies Plus is very involved in the community, too. I have seen them at several local events. The self serve dog wash is a huge plus, too. Their 5 wash punch card is a great deal and a much better experience than trying to do it in our tub at home.

Good selection of dog foods, toys, and treats. Very disappointing fish department. Considering they are the only place within an hour that has ANY saltwater, if they tried just a little they could be doing really well. I don't think I have ever seen all their saltwater tanks with at least one fish in each tank. They could easily handle 5-10x the fish they have if they managed the systems well. The aquarium supplies selection doesn't seem any better than big box stores. Freshwater fish are better, but they tanks are too small. You can tell that if certain fish stay too long they start getting nippy. The goldfish never seem to be doing well. Good if you aren't looking for aquarium stuff.

Went in this afternoon with a very dirty rescue dog covered in fleas and chicken droppings. I needed to use the self-wash facilities to clean this dog up before taking into my apartment. The owner was just incredibly helpful and compassionate, immediately stepping in to help me bathe my new puppy. It took almost an hour of scrubbing and rinsing to get most of the dirt and fleas off. My new pup, now named Alex, has a vet appointment tomorrow afternoon to determine the next steps in his treatment. But I just want to commend the entire staff for their help. This is a store with an owner who truly cares about animals.

I had never heard of Pet Supplies Plus. I was very pleased with the store over all. They had a good selection of cat and dog food. Most of it was very reasonably priced. They sell small pets here but they all seem very well cared for. I went for cat food. They definitely have a good selection of some of the better brands. I also found a cat tree that was such a good deal I couldn't resist getting it. The staff here is always very helpful and friendly. Great store. 5/5

I love Pet Supplies Plus, but I have to say the atmosphere in Crystal is like a morgue. No fun, no smiles and I heard the manager "coaching" an employee. I almost stepped in because the manager was so condescending to her employee. This is a franchise and they have taken all the fun out of shopping with my pet. Multiple times at this location and clearly needs a lesson in keeping employees and customers engaged and creating an enjoyable environment. Who owns this store?

I've been here three times now and the prices are awesome and the staff is great. We just rescued a dog and we needed a crate. Their prices were far lower than the other two places we looked at. They have a clearance bin which had a lot of amazing items for almist 75% off. I brought my two kids and dog in, so I had my hands full. The employee brought my items to the front and even brought them outside for me. Needless to say i was very gratrful and impressed. We will be back.

Store might seem small but they have just about everything you would need for your pets. Fish seemed healty and there were no dead ones to be seen. They also got reptiles and small animals like hamsters and mice as well as kittens. Staff is very helpful and overall nice people. I haven't shopped there enough to know how the entire store operates. This may very well be a great place and you can't control every employee. I also don't review places very often and it's typically for this same reason - bad customer service. I'll even admit that this is me venting about being treated rudely by someone more than it is a review. In short.. I just called in to speak with someone and the lady I spoke with was horrible. She even answered the phone with an attitude. She was rude, wouldn't let me finish my sentences and basically made me feel like I was bothering her. After my first sentence was cut off with a rude reply, I told her that I work in a customer service related field and wasn't calling to complain or be nasty. I just wanted to inform her of a problem with 2 hamsters my husband and kids purchased yesterday. I told her I just noticed a bald spot on both hamsters and upon searching the web I thought it may be ringworm. She cut me off several times just telling me to bring them back and get more. I explained that wouldn't help with something like ringworm - as they all could possibly have it. I again told her I just wanted to inform them so they could check their own hamsters and cages and that I would watch them for a day or two to know for sure. She told me it was probably from fighting and just to bring them back and get more. How did she know? Was she looking at the hamster? I wouldn't even care if she was clueless or if that was the standard answer. I realize the problems associated from buying animals from chain stores like this. I'm only writing this now because of her attitude. So instead of being mean and informing her that her people skills really stink...I just apologized for bothering her AT WORK and hung up. I work with the public and I try to always remain positive and helpful....is it too much to expect the rest of the world to do the same? Ok I feel better.

It's the place in town that's likely to have things you can't get at general merchandise stores. Love this store! It has a neighborhood feel but has everything you could want for your pet. We utilize the pet wash station regularly especially after a romp in the lake! This is akin to Disneyland for my dog son.

This is a great store. The best customer service. The employees are knowledgeable, very friendly, and helpful. They always offer to carry your items to your car for you, (which super helpful for heavy items like cat litter or big bags of food.) If you join their free perks program you get amazing coupons all the time. $7 off any purchase, $5 of any purchase, etc. They basically give you gift certificates!

I love this pet store! They are always very friendly and greet guests when you walk in. They carry a great selection of everything I'm looking for and prices are very reasonable. Went into this place to see what they offered. It was disgusting. The cages were nasty, the water bowls were filled with poop, and the smell didn't help. I did see a cricket eating another cricket, so that was cool I guess. But ill never set foot in there again. I don't even know how they are still open

Pet Supplies Plus is a fabulous little store. In fact, compared to big chain stores like Petco and PetSmart well it may not be able to compare in size, it does more than enough in comparable prices with better brands of food. You will still find some of the so-called premium brands from Petco and PetSmart here, but you will also find far better choices like Merrick and Redford Naturals grain-free which is what I feed my new puppy. and the folks that work here only passionate about pets that are friendly they're helpful and they will go out of their way to make your first shopping experience really fantastic. I know that's very first visit was fabulous and the second one was even better!
