I was only here once so I don't know if they were having a bad week, but most of the saltwater tanks were either empty or not well stocked at all. That was disappointing. Almost no corals. Some prices were higher than average, some were average, somewhere lower than average. I didn't see almost any other type pets. Just a few reptiles. Very poorly stocked store. That was disappointing

The tanks the fish are kept in are dirty, you can barely see the fish inside the tanks, it's to cramped inside the store, someone could fall and break all the fishtanks. The fish don't even look happy and it makes me very upset.

thus is definitely where to go if you need schooling fish but don’t want to spend 4 dollars or more for each fish. I’ve never had fish from him become sick or die and he seems to on purpose avoid netting up any fish he thinks are not pretty looking. Known the owner for a long time and I always suggest to go to him for nice prices on your standard and unique fresh water fish. I still to this day have my pleco, Barbs, danios, Corys, and tetras that are extremely healthy

Last time I was in the store couldn't see into any of the tanks, thats how dirty they were. The owner acts as if you're disturbing him when walk in and ask questions about the tanks you can't see in. Bought one Fish from him that had ick and infected my entire tank. Lets just say wont make the same mistake again.

I am embarrassed to say I even walked in this place. I need to call the Humane Society - This place was disgusting. There were numerous tanks you could not even see through; some tanks were so heavily saturated in algae, I've never seen water so green. The salt water tanks had salt build up from what looks like years of neglect. The were tarantulas stored in cups (not even a small cage!). I would have given the owner benefit of the doubt (cleaning the cages, transporting etc..) but these were definitely permanent enclosures for these animals. To top things off there were small kids laying across the main aisle of the store with their toys (owners kids??) sprawled out across the floor. This place was a mess, I am actually legitimately thinking about making a formal complaint to get this place on a watch list. No animal big or small should have the unfortunate luck to end up in this store. I'm disgusted this place is so close to my home.

Overall, its a decent place. Sign says pets though and sells one lizard that is not a fish, the tanks were very dirty, spiders stored in cups. Nice exotic fish but are kept in nasty environments.

The best pet store in South Eastern Michigan! 9 times out of 10 you will deal with the owner directly in the store and on the phone. Prompt, knowledgeable, and honest--service here is never a problem, and the selection is awesome. Lots of exotics; reptiles, small mammals, bugs, salt water fish, coral and inverts, huge selection of freshwater rarities and plants. If its not in stock it can be ordered. Prices generally 20% or more below comparable stores in the area. Stock and selection of dry goods is adequate and has always met my needs. Overall, I am very satisfied and I refer my friends here often.

Chris knows his stuff, very polite and willing to assist with any questions. Used to visit frequently while he was running shop on the other side of 59 a few years back as a moreso general pet store but now he specializes in fish at this location though he does have other small pets. All of the tanks look very healthy and I can almost expect to find something new in the freshwater selection each time I stop in. He seems to carry a pretty decent selection of fish in stock that you generally don't generally see at other stores which is pretty awesome if your tired of hoping to find something new for your tank at your usual pet shop location. I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often.

This is my favorite local fish store the owner is nice and always helps you right away the fish are beautiful and healthy I've never lost a single fish bought here and I can't wait to see how his big 700gallon monster salt tank turns out!! A definite gem among chain pet stores and people that don't know anything about the hobby this guy knows his stuff and I will keep coming back!!!

The shop is okay. Variety for freshwater is there but lacks in saltwater. The biggest issue is that the owner seems to have issues talking with customers. What i mean is that it feels like he believes his knowledge of marine life is so high that beginners or novices who ask questions are answered back as if they are idiots. Customers today don't shop at certain places if their experience is negative due to human interaction. There are other stores i can simply drive to and feel welcomed. With that said, likely will never step foot in this place again.
